[2197] Run as script losing time part of date columns.
Date columns are being displayed in script output as xxxxx 00:00:00 regardless of the actual time element.
This code -
select sysdate from dual;
insert into xx(aa) values (to_date('30-nov-2006 13:14:00','dd-mon-yyyy hh24:mi:ss'));
select * from xx;produces this output
SYSDATE
30-nov-2006 00:00:00
1 rows selected
1 rows inserted

1 rows selectedI have nls_date_format set to 'dd-mon-yyyy hh24:mi:ss' in preferences and the dates are displayed properly in the results pane.

When you run the script multiple time then you will have to pass different values to the fields so that every time the script is run with new set of values and the data is created.
So in the script you will have to parameterize the fields and then handle the position of the fields so that when the script is run for the first loop counter the data is maintained in the first line of the transaction(for example) and the increament the counter for the second run so that the control moves to the second line for the second execution similarly for the multiple runs.
Alternatively parameterize the fields with the table containing so many entries as the number of times you want to run the script and for each execution one set of entry from the table is picked and used in the execution for the next run the second set of values is used and so and so forth.

I need to involve time in a date column in JDBC OCI 8.0.5.2.
The default date format is like "09-Sep-1999". I could use it
but just need time involved too, like "09-Sep-1999 10:11:12".
I tried to use JDBC's Timestamp whose format is like
1999-9-9 12:00:00.000, just same as the dates selected from my
table,
but got an error message "literal doesn't match format string".
The JDBC document said Oracle's date could be JDBC date,
timestamp and char.

Is it possible to run a script each time a .CSV file is updated?
I am having trouble with a script I am trying to write, which is made up of two parts:
A .CSV file generated by PHP/MySQL whenever an RSS feed is updated. The contents of the .CSV are overwritten each time the PHP runs.
A DataMerge script, written in JavaScript.
What I would like to do is run the DataMerge script each time the .CSV file is updated. Is this possible, perhaps using an Event Listener within the PHP to trigger the DataMerge script? Or am I approaching this in the wrong way? I'm grateful for any thoughts you might have. LIKE Operator to ignore the time part of DATE type?

is it allowed to use the LIKE operator on DATE Type to ignore the time-part in the DATE?
Nothing found in the manual, but seems to me that it works.

Solution 5 is bad, because index on TST_DATE column could not be used.
Solution 1 - 3 is the same using the LIKE operator.

How to get a time part from Date datatype
Hi,
I would like to know how to extract the timestamp alone from DATE datatype? If my input is '27-SEP-2011 23:59:00' I need the output as 23:59:00. I am surprised to see that there are no in-built functions for this or may be I am wrong. Basically I need to remove the date part from DATE data type and get the time.Please assist.

How do you add time to the time part of date in oracle

I need to add 5 hours to the date in a date column. I did it the foll. way.
for ex:
select to_char(sysdate, 'mm/dd/yy hh:mi:ss'), to_char((sysdate + (5/24)), 'mm/dd/yy hh:mi:ss;) from dual;
It works! The second column shows that 3 hours has been added to the time. I am wondering if there is a better way to do it. Any tips/suggestions please.....
I use SQL Server a lot and they have the Dateadd function to add to ay part of the datetime such as day, motnh, year, hours, minutes, etc.Not Sure !

Creating Time Dimension from date columns in fact tables.
I remember watching a demo from a BI Tool a couple years ago, wich I swear was OBIEE, and the presentator stated it was possible to create a Time Dimension in the admin tool, based on a date column in other table.
Can you guys tell me if there's such functionality in OBIEE?

SQL Developer is not exporting the time part of date data types.
I need to export data from a table using sql developer. The column is a date data type but when I export the data to a csv, xls or an sql file with insert statements, sql developer only includes the date part without the time.

2 files running at the same time for adquiring data from different ways
I want to adquire from a serial port( using VISA) and from a DAQ at the same time. I want data form both devices at the same time.
My program is a while loop reading continuously from both devices until I stop the while loop with a control.
I have noticed that I don't receive right data when I read from both devices in the same program.
So, I have tried to run 2 different programs, one for Visa adquisition and another for DAQ adquisition, at the same time. At this way i receive data ok.
So, i want to know how can i do execute 2 different .vi files at the same time and how can i get data from the another one.
Please, help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. I don't know what to do!

you can insert two seperate while loops in parallel into one VI. Please
take a look into the template browser and the example finder of LV for
some examples. You can find the template browser by selecting "new"
(not new vi!) in the file-menu. The example finder is located in the
help-menu.

As you are using formula for populating the fields’ values, then the rule needs to be executed when the form loads.
So I recommend to set the rule when form loads in InfoPath.
Please click Data tab in InfoPath and then click Form Load button in Rules section, then add the rule for comparing the two fields’ values and set the action.

Applescript: How to run a script once upon logon for multiple users
I'm deploying a NetRestore image to about 150 Macs which will be using Active Directory and I've designed a custom default user for each new user. However, our system requires a specialized certificate that has to be installed on the local login.keychain for each user otherwise network connectivity is impacted.
I've tried to use the security command through Terminal to install the certificate, but no matter what combination of commands, I cannot seem to get that to work properly even with an already-created user. While it will often say it's installed, the cert will not actually show up in the login keychain in Keychain Access. And the network connectivity is still impacted.
So instead, I created a brief AppleScript that just gives the user brief instructions to click "Add" on the prompt for which Keychain to add the cert and then "Always Trust" for the "This cert is not verified" prompt. Then it launches Keychain Access. Originally, I was going to have it actually click the buttons for the user, but I realized trying to get the whole Accessibility apps and assitive devices to work on every new user would be a nightmare.
I created the script on another 10.9 Mac using Automator to make it an actual application. I've used the instructions in OS X: Using AppleScript with Accessibility and Security features in Mavericks to sign it and I'm using root to move it from its network location into the Applications folder. I've adjusted the permissions to allow all Admin users to r/w (along with everyone else). To the root user, it shows as a usable application, but every other user on the Mac sees it as damaged/incomplete.
What I want to do is add it to the default Login Items, so I can run the final AppleScript command to simply remove the login items listing. That way I don't need to worry about it running again, but it's still available for the next user to sign onto the deployed Mac.
I know it's a little convoluted, but this is the final piece to the NetRestore deployment I've been working on for months. Any suggestions on how to make this work (or even a completely different solution) would be greatly appreciated.

I am hitting a bit of a problem when using the date datatype. When trying to save a row to the table where the field it throws an error ora 01830 and complains about converting the date format picture ends...etc. Now when I do the insert, I use the to_date function with the format of "dd-mon-yyyy hh24:mi:ss". Of course, when I remove the time element, everything is perfect.
Checking sysdate, I noticed that the time element wasn't be displayed, and I used alter session set nls_date_format to set the date and time I want to save to the table, which worked!
Then based on advice in a previous thread to permanently fix the problem, I used alter system set nls_date_format ="dd-mon-yyyy hh24:mi:ss" scope=spfile; This showed that it was altered, and I can see the setting in the em. In sqlplus, I shutdown the database, and restarted with startup mount; alter database open; and then selecting sysdate, it still shows the date as dd-mon-yy, and still no time! Checking the em, and looking up the nls_date_format the setting is still shown as "dd-mon-yyyy hh24:mi:ss".
So, my question is this - what am I doing wrong? Why can't save date and time using date in Oracle 11g?????

ThanksYou most certainly can save the time. A DATE column, by definition stores date and time. What you describe is a presentation problem, and setting nls_date_format at the system as an init parm is the weakest of all settings as it is overridden by several other locations.
without seeing the exact sql that produced the error (not just your description of what you think you were doing) it is impossible to say for sure.

A script in file EditingUtils.js has been running for a long time
Hello Everyone. I just downloaded Dreamweaver CS 5.5 Trial version (Win 7), and I have been working on my home page. I've created a wonderful image map with spry widget tooltips (about 60 tooltips), and I'm really happy with the results....until this error started to pop-up. I have re-started the computer, deleted winfilecache****, and updated Dreamweaver through the help window. I have googled this error, and found it existed in CS3 and CS4, and even in CS5, but no information as to why it's happening in CS 5.5. I really want to buy this software, but am unsure as to why I would spend this amount of money on something that's going to give me a headache. I am a layman, and work on my site recreationally. I'm new to CSS and Spry so if i missed the obvious I apologize for that. I inserted the spry widgets in the CODE screen by highlighting my hotspot CODE and clicking INSERT>SPRY>SPRYTOOLTIP. Each tooltip is checked to "follow on mouse" and "hide on mouse out" and horizontally moved -400.
So now every time I open this page in Dreamweaver this error "A script in file EditingUtils.js has been running for a long time. Do you wish to continue?" pops up, and whenever i try to edit the spry tooltip properties. Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere. thanks for your help and time.
