2nd Blog posting not publishing?

Hello,
I just realized that the most recent BLOG post for my website is not loading/displaying. I have tried re-publishing to a folder and re-uploading it (via godaddy) using FETCH, but the BLOG still isn't correct. The first post is fine, just the second. Any reason(s) this would happen?
Thanks
http://www.dbluejazz.com/DeepBlueJazz/Blog/Blog.html
this is the link, if necc. The most recent posting is the prob.
Scott

I am creating a website using IWEB, but will not be
publishing to .Mac.
Does anyone know if there's a way to create a blog?
Why would you think that you need to publish to .Mac to have a blog?
Blog Comments/Searching will be missing if you use another server, but you can use Haloscan for comments.

  • Indexed field num_comments on blog post not updating during incremental crawl

    Hi,
    Have a webpart that rolls blog posts from MySite and other Team sites.
    Everything works fine excepts that the property ows_numcomments (which I have a managed property mapped to) is only updated after a full crawl has run (ie once per night or manually started).
    Why is it so and what can I do to make updating during an incremental crawl?
    Thanks,
    /Owe
    Background:
    Query resulttype is RelevantResults
    TrimDuplicate is true
    MPNumComments is mapped to ows_numcomments
    Searchstring
    "SELECT Title, Author, Path, SiteTitle, MPNumComments, MPPublishedDate FROM SCOPE() WHERE scope='Blogs' AND contentclass='STS_ListItem_Posts' ORDER BY MPPublishedDate DESC";

    Can you do full crawl and check this property is getting updated. If not then either incremental crawl is not updating the value or there is some problem with the field configuration.

  • Navigation bar and blog, not publishing

    would anyone know why the navigation bar and the blog are NOT publishing to .Mac / my personal domain? I sent a request to the support but I have not heard back from anyone.
    A little lost.
    Scott

    Gang,
    The NAV bar seems to be an issue with some Theme's and some Browsers. In the 08 iWeb they went to an XML scipts method over the hard coded method used in the 06 version of iWeb. You can see the feed.xml in the root of your site and a Scripts folder with the info and stuff in it.
    Basically I found that older versions of Netscape showed a single DOT on the NAV bar line but the new version and Firefox worked fine as did Safari and PC browsers.
    Others with other Theme's have had different problems and I had different problems with text and such.
    The thing that really scares me is that if I bring my site up under Dreamweaver it comes up all screwy.
    All's I want is a simple web site developer package that works.
    Thanks
    Gordon

  • Blog Archive Webpart Does Not List Posts When Publish Date is About early months,years in sharepoint 2013

    I create blog posts . Their publish date are different from now and their publish date are the early months. For example i create 30 blog bosts in 15.08.2014. But 10 blog posts' publish date is 15.04.2013,20 blog posts' publish date is 15.03.2012. I can
    not see them in the blog archive part. There must be April 2013 and March 2012 in the archive part,but i can not see them.
    How can i see them in the blog archive webpart?
    When i create a blog post, what is the main issue about the date? What is the main issue about date about grouping them.
    How can i show the blog posts according to the publish date not create date? İs it possible?
    Can you help me please?

    It seems you created another thread for same issue. Let's wait for the response from original thread, instead of creating a new one.

  • How to NOT publish a draft blog post?

    Lots of times I'm working on a blog post and don't want to publish it, but there may be others in the queue that DO need to upload. IS there anyway to do this?

    Yea, this is what I figured. I DID try this: I made a new site, thinking I could drag the blog posts, but it doesn't work like pages.
    I actually use a program called Scrivener to write my weekly columns. I guess I'll use it for iWeb, too. Just was looking for a way to play with layouts before publishing.

  • Blog pages not posting correctly... spacing and placement issues... WHY!

    So I've just started using iWeb to post photo blogs about my adventures in snowboarding.... The home page turned out great... BUT the individual blog posts are not posting correctly at all.....I add my entries like so....
    text,text,text,text.vffdfdfdsfffvbfss
    then an image here
    more text,text,text,klhkjhkhklhlh
    next image here
    more text,text,text
    another image here
    So after I get it all done and post it the text and image placement comes out very different from how I entered it... Sometimes the image is over the text.....
    I have to go back and move my images around and add massive amounts of spacing to get it to seem somewhat normal... it's not coming out how I want it... WHY is iWeb doing this....
    Here's the URL to my Blog.... http://web.me.com/tylerbrawley/TylerBrawleys_Blog/Splitboarding_the_Wasatch/Entries/2009/3/27_Mill_D%2C_Short_Swing3-27-09.html This published page looks nothing like what it is in iWeb...
    Here's the same Blog published to a web site forum... http://splitboard.com/talk/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=6633
    I wish I could get iWeb to publish just like that... Can anyone help?
    Thanks in advance!

    Really? No one can help?

  • Blog post Publish vs Update

    This question was asked in February here and answered, but it clearly was never addressed.
    When a blog post is saved as a draft, the PUBLISH button becomes the UPDATE button and there is no longer any clear indication to the client of whether their post is public or not.
    This includes the post list which does not show the status of a blog post.  Is a fix coming?
    Best,
    Rob

    It's a 2-step process. 'Creating pages' does exactly what it says. It's like publishing to a local folder, but with .Mac functionality included. Actual uploading to .Mac only commences when page creation is complete. That's when the progress indicator(s) appear, and it's only then that you regain control of the application.
    As to your concern that the process takes a long time when you add 'just a new photo page', you go on yourself to explain why doing this necessitates re-creation of every page in the site — it's precisely because of 'the name of the new page being added to the list of available photo pages in the list at the top of each page'. Once you add a page and include this on the navigation bar, every page which displays the navigation bar has to be updated.

  • Uploading blog posts when NOT using a MobileMe account

    We have a student podcast/blog published to our local webserver using the "Publish to Folder" feature in iLife '08. This works fine for the podcast, but is failing for the blog. Not sure why or how to troubleshoot the problem.

    tcwaters wrote:
    This is a URL of file:// so that suggests to me that the files are on the server correctly, yes?
    No, it means they are inside a folder on the hard disk you selected when you did the 'Publish to a folder'.
    If you want your website on a Web server, you'll have to look for a company to Host your website.
    You could have a look at MobileMe from Apple, it includes web space (20 Gb) among other services.
    tcwaters wrote:
    Within the file structure, where do the blog entries reside? I can't find the actual entries.
    They are inside the folder 'the name of the blog' / folder 'Entries' / then a folder by year, then a folder by month,..
    Note : Comments will only work when you publish to MobileMe as they are managed by the MobileMe server.
    Kind regards,

  • Customizing the blog post web part to not show entire entries

    I have a blog site, and as you know, the posts web part shows the entire contents of each listed post, rather than one paragraph, followed by a "click here to read more" link.  I know that there is no out-of-box functionality for this, because of course,
    why would there be? Who needs nice looking blogs?  Anyway, I found this on the internet:
    http://zabistop.blogspot.com/2009/02/customizing-sharepoint-blog-posts-web.html
    It knows what's up, but it's outdated and the code doesn't mesh with what I have. Are there any articles similar to this online? I can't be the first person who thought of this, and doing it from the ground up is not an option. I appreciate any help.

    In 2010 you can make the same changes using a similar method.
    Open the default.aspx page, in code view click in within the blog area. In the ribbon click on the List View tools >design. Click on Customize XSLT in the Actions panel. When you do that you will be able to see all the code.
    Find this line of code <xsl:template name="FieldRef_Note_body.Body" ddwrt:dvt_mode="body" match="FieldRef[@Name='Body']" mode="Note_body" ddwrt:ghost="hide">
    Approx line 402. It actually looks like   </xsl:template><xsl:template name="FieldRef.... so you will have to place your cursor after the template close and hit enter a few times to make space for the code.
    Directly above that line, where you have added spaces, include this code. (I cheated and grabbed this code from another site where we did the same thing - and was able to modify it slightly to work for the blog.)
    <!-- used to strip out HTML from passed-in field -->
        <xsl:template name="removeHtmlTagsFromField">
         <xsl:param name="html"/>
         <xsl:choose>
             <xsl:when test="contains($html, '&lt;')">
                 <xsl:value-of select="substring-before($html, '&lt;')"/>
                 <!-- Recurse through HTML removing all markup -->
                 <xsl:call-template name="removeHtmlTagsFromField">
                     <xsl:with-param name="html" select="substring-after($html, '&gt;')"/>
                 </xsl:call-template>
             </xsl:when>
             <xsl:otherwise>
                 <xsl:value-of select="$html"/>
             </xsl:otherwise>
         </xsl:choose>
     </xsl:template>
    Next below the line ( should be the next line below the pasted code)   <xsl:template name="FieldRef_Note_body.Body" ddwrt:dvt_mode="body" match="FieldRef[@Name='Body']" mode="Note_body" ddwrt:ghost="hide">
    Locate the       <xsl:param name="thisNode" select="."/> and paste the following code:
      <!-- call "removeHtmlTagsFromField" template to strip out html markup from the field -->
     <xsl:variable name="textOnlyDescription">
         <xsl:call-template name="removeHtmlTagsFromField">
             <xsl:with-param name="html" select="$thisNode/@*[name()=current()/@Name]" />
         </xsl:call-template>
     </xsl:variable>
    I have already swichted out the select content with the content that was in the xsl line that renders the body content.
    Locate the code  ( should be 2 lines down)     <xsl:value-of select="$thisNode/@*[name()=current()/@Name]" disable-output-escaping="yes"/>
    Comment the code out and replace with the following code:
          <xsl:value-of select="substring($textOnlyDescription, 0, 320)" disable-output-escaping="yes"/>
          <xsl:if test="string-length($textOnlyDescription)>320">...</xsl:if>
    Change the number to your desired length.
    Save your file.
    You can revert the file if you ever need to, after its checked in, by right clicking on the page and selecting reset to site definition.
    Hope this helps. I plan on doing a post shortly covering this and will have screen shots.

  • Why does my Blog not publish with the rest of my new pages and photos????

    Much more work was done on my iWebsite today and I even made a rudimentary beginning of a blog.
    QUESTION:
    Why does my blog not publish?
    Lorna in Southern California

    James, the blog is on Safari now. I am embarrassed to say that I had already forgotten that I needed to make a link to the Site Menu. Since I had done all of that in a tear of activity previously, it's as though the process did not stick in my head. Sort of like forgetting to plug in the computer. 8-(
    I did not even realize what I had done wrong until I made a hyperlink from that site to my site menu and checked to see that the blog became visible. It's disconcerting to think that this kind of thing could happen to me again. 8-(
    I would be very interested in seeing people's blogs and how they use them. I've seen blogs used as news reports, blogs with music videos, blogs with photos. I earlier thought that a blog was like a diary: Words only.

  • The icons of the blog posts that I visit do not change to show my visit. eg. I used to be able to see the orange blogger symbol when I visited that blog post.

    I subscribe to blogs via RSS (whatever that means) and new blog posts show up in my bookmark menu ....... they show up with a grey unassuming icon at the beginning of the blog post bookmark.
    Months ago the appearance of the bookmarks would "change" when I visited the post ..... eg. for blogger posts the icon would turn into the traditional orange blogger symbol.
    But for many many months now the icons don't change with the visit and it's getting difficult to remember if I've visited that blog post or not by looking at the bookmark itself.
    How can I get the bookmark to update/refresh when I visit a blog post?

    I see a faded RSS feed icon for live bookmark items that turn into the website's favicon after having visited the link.
    There may be a problem with the favicons if you get the generic default icon instead of the website's favicon.
    You can try to repair the places database with this extension:
    *https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/places-maintenance/
    See also:
    *http://kb.mozillazine.org/Bookmarks_history_and_toolbar_buttons_not_working_-_Firefox
    You can to remove all stored data from that domain via "Forget About This Site" in the right-click context menu of an history entry (Show All History or History sidebar) to see if that will reset the favicon if the above posted steps didn't help.
    Using "Forget About This Site" will remove everything from that domain like bookmarks, cookies, passwords, cache, history, and exceptions, so be cautious if you need to keep passwords or other data from that site.<br />
    You can't recover from that "forget" unless you have a backup of the affected files.<br />
    *https://support.mozilla.org/kb/Backing+up+your+information
    *https://support.mozilla.org/kb/Recovering+important+data+from+an+old+profile
    It doesn't have any lasting effect, so if you revisit such a 'forgotten' website then data from that website will be saved once again.

  • Blog Post Comments - #comments anchor causing an error on 2nd page of comments

    We have run into a problem with blog posts on our SharePoint 2013 on premise installation (15.0.4649.1000). The problem is with the blog on the users' MySites.  On the front page of the blog, (https://mysite.url/personal/user_name/Blog/default.aspx),
    you are presented with a listing of the blog posts - displayed as a summary view.  So, this includes:
    -  the title (linked to the post ie https://mysite.url/personal/user_name/Blog/Lists/Posts/Post.aspx?ID=5)
    -  the publication date
    -  an excerpt of the post
    -  the author, the time posted
    -  the number of comments (linked to the post - but with an anchor to the comment section ie https://mysite.url/personal/user_name/Blog/Lists/Posts/Post.aspx?ID=5#comments).
    If you click on the Title (ie https://mysite.url/personal/user_name/Blog/Lists/Posts/Post.aspx?ID=5) everything is fine - the problem does not come up.
    If you click on the number of comments (ie https://mysite.url/personal/user_name/Blog/Lists/Posts/Post.aspx?ID=5#comments), here's where things go wrong.  The initial page loads fine, but if there are more than 10 comments, you have to go to the next page.
    If you click the arrow to go to the next page you get the following error:
    Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131904
    Correlation ID:20a9f49c-d329-0015-874e-4818b529d673
    If I check the ULS logs, this is what I see:
    System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException (0x80131904): Conversion failed when converting the nvarchar value '5#comments' to data type int.
     at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlConnection.OnError(SqlException exception, Boolean breakConnection, Action`1 wrapCloseInAction)
     at System.Data.SqlClient.TdsParser.ThrowExceptionAndWarning(TdsParserStateObject stateObj, Boolean callerHasConnectionLock, Boolean asyncClose)
     at System.Data.SqlClient.TdsParser.TryRun(RunBehavior runBehavior, SqlCommand cmdHandler, SqlDataReader dataStream, BulkCopySimpleResultSet bulkCopyHandler, TdsParserStateObject stateObj, Boolean& dataReady)
     at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlDataReader.TryHasMoreRows(Boolean& moreRows)
     at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlDataReader.TryReadInternal(Boolean setTimeout, Boolean& more)
     at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlDataReader.Read()
     at Microsoft.SharePoint.SPSqlClient.ExecuteQueryInternal(Boolean retryfordeadlock)
     at Microsoft.SharePoint.SPSqlClient.ExecuteQuery(Boolean retryfordeadlock)  ClientConnectionId:e6cdabb3-a778-4c47-8024-73913a538b51  Error Number:245,State:1,Class:16
    So what I think is happening here, is that SharePoint is not stripping the comments anchor (#comments) from the post ID before it queries the database for all comments related to that post.  SQL is expecting an integer - in this case "5", but
    is instead getting "5#comments".
    For the time being we are going to let users know not to click on the comments, but to click on the title instead.  But we would like to correct this problem.
    Is there a fix for this?
    Thanks!

    Hi,
    In my environment, I do not encountered the error as yours. My environment has installed the 2014 December CU. I recommend you
    to install the 2014 December CU or the latest CU for SharePoint 2013.

  • Edge Animate file working on main blog page but not on the individual blog post in BC

    I recently uploaded an edge animate file to my blog which is host on Business Catalyst (BC). The edge file works on the main blog page but not on the individual blog post. How can I solve this problem?
    I did the following steps:
    I added the required Adobe Edge scripts on my main blog template.
    Create folder on the server called "edge_includes" and uploaded the 'edge.5.0.0.min' file.
    Create folder on the server called "js" and uploaded the 'jquery-1.7.1.min' file.
    Copy and pasted the div to the part of the blog post I wanted the file to appear (<div id="Stage" class="EDGE-13973370"></div>).
    Uploaded the name of the js file to the root called 'World of Code_edge.'
    Uploaded the images to the existing folder called 'images.'

    I'm still unable to figure out the problem.
    Here is the link to the blog: http://goo.gl/sPW62j (the post titled "Basic Computer Science is a Fundamental Skill in the 21st Century Society").
    Here is the link to the individual post: http://goo.gl/jTSgZH
    Also, I get mixed results on the main blog page. Sometimes the image (Edge Animate file) on the main page shows and other times it does not. However, the image never shows on the individual blog post.

  • Blog Post does not create URL

    We have a user who is trying to create a blog post, but on multiple occassions, when they copy and paste the title in, it does not auto-create a URL for the post. If they type in a title, that doesn't work either. They are using Chrome on Windows 7. The issue is intermittent, works sometimes but not others.
    Any ideas? They are on a limited internet connection -- would that be the issue? Is it pinging the server before auto-creating the URL?

    I woiuld first check to make sure there are no plugins / extensions running in chrome and javascript is enabled.
    The URL field should mirror the typing.  That's Javascript (clientside). The data would be submitted on POST.

  • Queue up But Not Publish Blog Entries?

    Is there any way in iWeb to queue up blog entries but not publish them until their designated dates?
    For example, say I prepared blog entries for the month ahead. When I publish my iWeb site, these will all be published with future dates on them. Is there a way to not publish individual entries but still have them ready to publish when their dates come up?
    Also, is there any way to adjust the number of blog entries that appear on the main blog page?
