3.4RC not exporting Exif data in jpegs?

I just checked and there seems to be no Exif data in my exported jpegs, even though Minimize Metadata is not checked. Anybody else experiencing this? DId I miss some new setting or way of specifying this? Win 7 64-bit, 64-bit LR.

In terms of the XMP standard, the EXIF schema properties have been omitted from the LR 3.4RC version of the image.  For example, the 3.3 version has the property XMP:DateTimeOriginal, while the 3.4RC version does not.  See below for all differences in the metadata.
I think this may be a bug. The XMP standard was designed to encapsulate legacy metadata such as EXIF, and it was intended that the XMP metadata contain duplicates of the EXIF properties.  Unlike the EXIF standard, XMP allows multi-byte characters and time zones, so not exporting the XMP EXIF properties means that it won't be possible to export multi-byte characters and time zones.

  • LR3.2 export - no more EXIF data on JPEG

    Hello everybody,
    trying to get some help...
My setup: iMac 24 running OSX 10.5.8 and Mac Book Pro 15" same OSX.
In both I'm using LR 2 for years, and couple of weeks ago I purchased the LR3.2
My photographs are in my galleries in Smugmug.
The images I want from my Nikon D 700 (NEF files) or other cameras I uploading for years in the Smugmug account
by sending initially the images in a reduced size and JPEG format to my desktop, and upload from there .
In the Smugmug clicking on the Info button anybody can see the EXIF data.
Now after the upgrade to the LR3.2 I got a problem: from the MBP everything is fine like before.
From the iMac - that is my main computer - the JPEG files will not carry the EXIF data. Nothing.
I did check the settings on the iMac and MBP, and are absolutely identical. However something might be different.
I wrote to Adobe, and after two weeks, 5 mails, and a few hours on the phone  twice (shared the screen, so they can see it in life demo , what is going on - otherwise is hard to believe it...) nobody knows the solution.
I called Apple , and because is not their software, they couldn't help.
Tried the Delete and Download again and reinstall stuff, but is still doing the same thing.
Anybody has the something like this?
    Any hints?
    Thanks in advance
    Joe

Well the files are reduced to 1200 pixels in longer side in LR. But would be a very strange thing to be a problem because the image is reduced to any specific size.
And as I said: the settings are identical in LR2 and LR3 and in both computers (iMac and MBP) .
The two LR2 is exporting with EXIF and the LR3 on MBP does. The LR3 in iMac is the only stripping the info.

  • From Bridge To PS To Export - EXIF Data Lost

    Hi all,
I'm wondering what happens to my EXIF data when I import a Canon RAW file via ACR from Bridge to PS. When I export the file as a JPG and then right-click the jpg properties, none of the camera data is recorded. Perhaps there is a tick-box I've just not ticked?
Also, if I add keywords in Bridge, should they carry through the export process? I'm interested to know if it's possible to auto complete the keyword field in flickr when uploading an image.
    CS5 with W7 and Canon 5Dii RAW.
    Thanks in advance.

Can you be a little more explicit about the exact steps you're taking?
I just opened an image from Bridge into Photoshop by right-clicking a CR2 file, choosing Open In Camera Raw, then hitting the [Open] button in the Camera Raw dialog.  Then I did File - Save As - JPEG, and all the camera metadata was retained (per Explorer's Properties, Details tab).
When you say "export", exactly how are you saving the file?  With File - Save For Web & Devices, there's a Metadata field that allows you to specify how little or how much to keep.

  • Lightroom 4 Export - EXIF data missing

I noticed that the EXIF data did not seem to be included in the jpeg file resulting from EXPORT.
I have double checked to make sure that under the METADATA section to select "ALL" and have both boxes (Remove Location Info & Write Keyword as Lightroom Hierarchy) unchecked.
Doing the same export in Lightroom 3 has no problem to include EXIF data in the JPEG file.
I am running the MAC version of the released Lightroom 4. Thank you in advance.

Hi Dorin, thank you for your reply. After reading your reply, I went back and checked my jpeg files carefully. You are correct that all the EXIF metadata are there.
My statement of 'missing' EXIF data was based on my EXIF data did not show up after I uploaded my JPG files to pBase, while all still worked well with Lightroom 3. Uploading the same set of jpeg files to other photo site like Picasa, the EXIF information is all there. Also, when I import those jpeg files in Lightroom 4, t=all the EXIF metadat are there too. It implies that it is a problem with pBase having probelm reading the EXIF of jpeg file from Lightrrom 4. Not sure what is the difference in Lightroom preparing the jpeg files, but I believe this 'missing EXIF' problem is site specific (i.e. pBase).
I will modfify the Topis to show pBase problem only if I can. Thank you.

  • Wrong EXIF data for JPEGs in Bridge and PS

    Hello,
My Nikon D300 files are not being properly read by Bridge and Photoshop. RAW files are fine. When I get file info for JPEGs, though, much of the EXIF data is corrupted. For instance, ISO Speed is shown as "51200" instead of 500, and Focal Length is shown as "2.0 mm" instead of 140mm, etc. This incorrect data shows up in Bridge (in the metadata panel and file info) as well as the file info dialog box in Photoshop.
When I get the EXIF info in Preview.app, all the info is correct.
Anyone know what might be going on?

Update - this problem is not limited to my D300 files. I just realized that the JPGs from my Canon SD800IS point & shoot are also not being "seen" properly by the Adobe apps. The ISO value doesn't even show up in CS3 apps, but I can see that data in Preview.app.

  • How do I export exif data in Aperture?

It seems that Aperture exports very little data that is of use (i.e., minimal IPTC metadata). Is there a work around to export EXIF metadata? If not, is there a feature request mechanism within Apple?
    Thanks much,
    Tim

    Tim,
for the GPS info you may look at this sample code from another script of mine:
    try
                                  tell application "Aperture"
      activate
tell im -- any Aperture image
set longi to value of EXIF tag "Longitude"
set lati to value of EXIF tag "Latitude"
try -- remove this "try" if you want a warning if the altitude tag is empty
set alti to value of EXIF tag "Altitude"
                                                      end try
try -- remove this "try" if you want a warning if the location tag is empty
      --          set plce to "unknown"
set plce to value of IPTC tag "Image City" as rich text
                                                      end try
                                            end tell
                                  end tell
                        on error
-- whatever you want to do in case of an error
                        end try

  • Export is not exporting the data from Page. It always gets the data from VO

    Hi,
I have got a critical issue, where I am Not able to export the current data from the page.
I have an export button and the VO is attached to it.
    1) My page will execute the VO and I do some calculations to remove some rows, add the grand total etc.
    2) The export button just re-executes the query and exports, which is not that, I want. I would like to export the current contents of the VO, which I manipulate and it is shown on the page.
    To give an example -
My VO query is executed, when I click the Report button. I then adds Grand Total row to the VO and it gets displayed on the Page also.
Now, when I click the export button, it just exports the data which is coming from the VO SQL query, whereas I want the data from current state of VO i.e. with the grand total, which I added and is coming on the page also.
I will be really grateful, if someone can help me with this as it is really urgent.
    Thanks for your help.
    Shiju

    Hi Shiju,
Is the export to csv opening fine with the data showing in individual columns when opening from internet explorer. What version of IE are you using? For us the export works fine from Firefox but does not work well in IE. From IE, the data shows with the commas in a single string. Appreciate your response as it will help us understand if our issue is local to our environment.
    Thanks.

  • Export EXIF data

    Hello,
I have just started using Lightroom to convert RAW images. Although this is a bit of a "nit", one of the frustrating issues with any
of the various RAW image processors is the manor in which EXIF data is handled. It appears that Lightroom handles EXIF data
somewhat differently when compared to other image processors.
The issue is the application I use to generate photo albums (JAlbum)not picking up "Resolution" from JPG images
produced by Lightroom. As an example please take a look at
    http://www.wideeye-photo.com/Just%20Things/Sand%20Frogs/slides/IMG_0031.html
    and
    http://www.wideeye-photo.com/Just%20Things/Sand%20Frogs/slides/IMG_0031-a.html
IMG_0031 is produced with Lightroom. IMG_00031-a is produced with Canon DPP. You will notice that "resolution" is missing
for the Lightroom image and is present for the DPP image. Also notice that for the Lightroom image, "Photographer" present
    but missing for DPP.
I had not had a problem with EXIF data until I started using Lightroom to develop my RAW images. Is there a parameter or setting I'm missing somewhere?
    Thanks,
    Ron

I have seen that Lightroom moves some information from standard EXIF fields to XMP. I don't remember if this is the case with resolution, but it may be the explanation if jAlbum does not read XMP.

  • LR5 Not exporting GPS Data from CR2 to Jpeg

    Hi
I have CR2 file from a 1Dx imported into LR5 and I am having issues exporting the GPS data to a Jpeg from the  CR2 file.  I have unchecked remove location info in the export dialogue box
Has anyone else got this problem?
Or am I doing something wrong!!
    Thanks
    Ian

I've quickly tried exporting an animated Camera from AE here and the keyframes are coming through to the Cinema camera.  The original AE keyframe curves will not be preserved,  but the transform results will be "baked" on every frame of the exported Cinema camera.  This is current limitation and expected.  Is this what you are seeing?
The CineWare camera Merge button assumes there is a current selected AE camera used by CineWare.  If CineWare is currently set to use a Cinema camera, then the button is greyed out.   If you go to CineWare "Project Settings" and choose one of the Comp camera options (instead of a C4D camera), then the Merge button will be available.
    Hope that helps,
    Seth

  • Export to Excel Action in MS SSRS Report not exporting all data in Report

    Hi,
I have developed a complex Report that has many expandable nodes in a table format. The report works fine.
However, when I export the Report to Excel using Actions --> export to Excel, only the data in expanded nodes is included. The data in collapsed nodes is not included.
I am looking for approach to include data in expanded nodes in Excel Export. The expanded data can be expanded in Excel.
Any help in this regard will be appreciated.

    Hi Abhijit PS,
Per my understanding you are experiencing the issue with the excel report which have add the drill down action, after export to excel only the expanded nodes included and the collapsed nodes is not shown, right?
Generally, if we expand the nodes before export to excel then the excel will display the expanded details row and keep collapsed the details row which haven't expand, but we have the toggle "+","-" on the left of the Excel to help
control the expand and collapse, when you click the "+" you can expand the collapsed notes to see the details rows.
I have tested on my local environment with different version of SSRS and can always see the "+","-" as below:
On the Top left corner you can find the "1","2", this help to control the "Collapse All" and "Expand All".
If you can't see the "+","-" in the excel, the issue can be caused by the Excel version you are currently using, and also excel have limit support of this, please provide us the Excel version information and the SSRS version. You
can reference to this similar thread:
lost collapsing columns when export to excel
Please try to export other drill down report to excel and check if they work fine, if they did, the issue can be caused by the drill down action you have added in this report is not correctly, if possible, please try to redesign the report.
Article below about how to add  Expand/Collapse Action to an Item for your reference:

  • I can not export BioBench data to Excel format

My data acquisition driver software is NI-DAQ, and data acquisition software is Biobench (Version 1.2). It work very well before. But recently, When I want to export data from Biobench into Excel, it told me ' Error, make sure your Excell has been installed correctly'. In fact, I didn't do any change to my computer since I installed BioBench.
    What should I do?
    Thank you.

I am having this same issue:  exported slideshow eventually photos disappear, screen is white but music continues.
I am on a brand new Mac Book Pro OS X  10.7.3
    Using iPhoto 11
I did not use the Ken Burns effect - Classic instead
I have 404 photos set to music a put into Garage Band and exported into iTunes.
It plays perfect in iPhoto, which all photos at the right moments with the songs.
Then one photo skips by quickly without a transition  and a number of photos are then not seen which causes the syncronization with music to alter.
Then the photos stop all together screen turns white and the music continues.
Need to burn it to DVD have exported it twice with different results but both similar to above, each time.
One poster said the computer got too hot and he believed exporting stopped. He tried putting a fan near to keep cool and then it worked.  Sounds a bit impossible.
    Thoughts?  Thanks.

  • Exporting EXIF data

I just imported a batch of vacation photos with the EXIF location embedded in the photos. However, the info disappears when I export the photos.
Is there any way to export photos and retain the EXIF info in the photo? I would like to share the photos with the other people who were on the trip with me. Thanks.

    How are you exporting?
File -> Export: Kind: Jpeg and tick the box at 'Location Information'.

  • Why is Cineware not exporting camera data from AE to C4D Lite?

(To preface, I've searched forums, Adobe help, and followed many tutorials.)
I have a live shot that I have 3D Camera Tracked using the built in AE plugin. I select 'Create new Camera and Solid'. AE creates a new 3d tracked camera and a solid. I save my comp. I go to 'File-Export-Maxon C4D', and create a new .c4d file. I import that file to AE, and put it in my comp. I go to 'Edit--Edit Original...'. C4D Lite opens up. I can see a new null, with a plane and camera inside. Everything looks great, but the camera has no animation on it. Upon closer inspection, I realize that none of the keyframes from my AE camera have been exported to my C4D camera.
I've tried exporting a new camera to C4D in as many ways as I can think of. The other strange thing was that the 'Merge Camera' button in the Cineware plugin in AE is grayed out, no matter how many new cameras I make. I've even made my own cameras and animated them without using the 3d Tracker plugin and it never exports correctly. I've also tried reinstalling C4D Lite. Thoughts?
    Thanks in advance!
    iMac 27-inch
    3.4 GHz Intel Core i7
    16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680MX 2048 MB
    OS X 10.8.5

    Hope that helps,
    Seth
