  • How to get "Selected" color for custom toolbar buttons?

    RH 8.0.2.208
    RoboHelp HTML
    WebHelp output
    I'm getting flack from internal QA folks about the custom toolbar buttons not having the same "selected" color as the default buttons (Contents, Index). I've copied the background color info from the <btnselected></btnselected> section for the built-in Contents to the <btnselected></btnselected> section for a custom toolbar button, but RH is ignoring it.
    Any hints?
    Leon

    You could try using the raw converter. Open one file and edit it (File>Open, pick the image and choose Camera Raw as the format before you click Open). Then open the next image and click the little four-lined square on the upper right side of the ACR window and choose Previous Conversion from the flyout menu.

  • Best Practice Buttons? and Swing Button Sizes

    Hi,
    I am wondering what the best way to make a custom styled button was....
    Since I need my own style of button (width,height,background image, selected, clicked) I thought I would use Swing buttons with a Synth style. However, when I place swing buttons inside a CustomNode, all of the button widths, heights, x, y settings are discarded. I can understand the x/y being discarded as the component location should become relative and set by the wrapping CustomNode. I can also understand this because I can set the positions with translateX and translateY. However, I can't see how I can set a width and height of the swing button from inside the CustomNode.
    Can this be done?
    Alternatively, I don't mind using an alternative to the swing button however this is the only button I can see in JavaFX.
    Thanks for reading

    Ok, looks like I can wrap the button's inside a group, stage eta Node wrapper. Then I can preserve the button sizes and can produce relative/translatable positioning of the group/stage. This I understand and find to be a good feature. One thing that does concern me is that with the Swing button's - the Synth styles are not correctly applied. No matter what I do I can not get button text color to change. Changing the background mostly works but the text label styling is completely ignored.

  • Command Button colors corrupt after switching back and forth from design view.

    I would say my experience level with Access is "getting there."
    I therefore don't thing I'm making a newbish mistake.
    Has anyone else noticed this?  As it's bugging me quite badly.
    1.  A command button has had it's color formatted (pressed, hover, etc. nothing fancy)
    2.  It works fine.
    3.  In my navigation form, if I switch to design view, then select a given sub-form... like "customers" - and switch back out of design view, to form view - then without fail, all customized command buttons within that sub forms' color will 'corrupt'
    ie, change.
    4. Closing and reopening the navigation form (ie, my main menu) restores it, but the same thing will happen should I go back to design view for the sub form.
    5.  Finally - this behaviour does not happen when switching back and forth between views on the original form that isn't a sub form in the navigation form.  (Ie,. the main 'customers' form).
    Can any clever folk give me a solution? :(
    Thanks,
    Eric Rowlands
    EDIT - My apologies, I am using Access 2013 for a desktop database.

    1) We will need to understand whether the issue is seen on any sample database.
    2) IS this seen only on your system, we would need to check on other system also
    3) If the issue is seen in all system & issue is not seen in the sample database then this could be database specific issue
    4) As per my understanding the issue is consistent, we would need to find what is the VBA code or which code is used while designing this form.
    5) We would need to see if the issue is seen only on that particular navigation form?
    6) Is the button gets corrupt I mean to say non-usable once it get discolored ?
    7) What is your end goal just in case if you are able to work on your database i.e. when working on the navigation form without going in design view is issue still seen there ?
    8) Since when are you experiencing this issue ?
    9) If possible please provide me the environment details of your system & Access application, whether the issue is seen only in access 2010 can we check in access 2007 or in access 2013.
    I would really appreciate if you can answers the above questions this will really help us to isolate the issue further
    in terms of technical troubleshooting after answering the above question I might come up with another question so that we can do extensive isolating the issue so the if required we can involve the developer also.

  • Copying from Oracle SQL Developer to Microsoft Word doesn't retain formatting (Font,colors etc)

    Copying from Oracle SQL Developer Worksheet doesn't retain formatting (font,color etc...)in Microsoft Word but copying from other programs such as
    visual studio, chrome browser etc works fine. This doesn't work even after changed the setting to Keep Source formatting of Options-> Copy and Paste Settings

    Hi,
    I notice that you have cross posted in Answers forum and Oracle forum. Have you tried Mr. Peter's suggestion?
    Then, I recommend we check the Word settings:
    1. Go to: Options > Advanced > Cut, Copy and Paste
    2.  Make sure that Use smart cut and paste is ticked.
    3. Click the Settings button next to this option
    4. Make sure that Smart Style
    Behavior is checked.
    If the issue still exists, please upload a sample through One Drive, I want to test.

  • Help with getting button color.

    I'm trying to make a little paint program. i want to be able to click on a color button and then assign the color of that button to a variable Color brushColor.
    funny thing is, when i compile this, it tells me that
    C:\java\javaprograms\TryPainting.java:21: getBackground() in java.awt.Component cannot be applied to (java.awt.Button)
              brushColor = paintTheBrush(getBackground(source));
    strange, getBackground is explicitly listed as a method that Button inherits from Component in the API.
    any suggestions on a way to accomplish this?
    thanks in advance,

    duh.. thanks man, that did the trick. i'm pretty new at this. i really appreciate the help. i got stuck thinking of the getBackground() as a function, rather than a method. this oop stuff is wacky weird fun!

  • I have installed a trial of Adobe illustrator on my macbook pro. I want to trace an image using the custom trace button but can't. Does anyone have any ideas how I could custom trace?

    I have installed a trial of Adobe illustrator on my macbook pro. It is the 2014 release of adobe illustrator. I want to trace an image using the custom trace button.
    I start a new document. Then I place my scanned pencil/colored pencil drawing, in to the document. I have tried scanning and then placing it as a jpeg, bitmap, and tiff file. I have tried scanning and then placing it, in color and in black and white. The scan mode I use is flatbed. Adobe illustrator allows me to select the default button and one of eleven preset buttons (e.g high fidelity photo), but it does not allow me to click the custom trace button. The custom trace button is grey while all the other buttons are white.
    Does anyone have any ideas how I could custom trace?

    It seems pointless to adjust it afterwards because it is then only a couple a pencil lines rather then a full drawing. And how do I adjust it afterwards? Would I do this using the different buttons under the window button?

  • How to change button colors in a loop?

    I am working on a task that should imitate an elevator. I have two vertical
    rows of round buttons "Up" and "Down" When a circle is selected randomly by
    the program, the circle becomes yellow and the elevator moves to that
    button.
    Here is what I did:
    1. created a class Circle where I save buttons' parameters
    2. saved Circle objects in an array
    3. drew the buttons depending on their parameters
    4. generated a random number, matched it with an array index and assigned
    the object color to yellow.
    Everything is fine except that I can't figure out how to change colors of my
    buttons in a loop.

    hi,
    am sorry, i couldn't make out what exactly the problem, but as ur subject line says...
    may be the code give below will help you to change button colors in a loop..
              for(int i = 0; i < button.length; i++){
                   int color1 = (int)(250*Math.random());
                   int color2 = (int)(250*Math.random());
                   int color3 = (int)(250*Math.random());
                   Color c = new Color(color1,color2,color3);
                   button[i] = new JButton("button name");
                   button.addActionListener(this);
                   //to check the r, g, b combination.
                   //System.out.println(c);
                   button[i].setBackground(c);
                   button[i].setForeground(Color.white);
    //adding into the panel
                   panel.add(button[i]);
    hope this would help you.

  • Bizarre IRR Button Colors in IE (Only!)

    When we go to any "Action" dialog from an Interactive Report Region, the button colors, e.g. Apply, Cancel etc. are dark blue with brown writing in IE only We've tested with IE 8 and 9.
    This does not occur in FF, Chrome or Safari.
    Has anyone else encountered this and does anyone know of a fix. We are demoing this next week and; it isn't just aesthetic, the color combination is actually very difficult to read.

    Ironically a combination of IE and Jive ate a lengthy response I made some hours ago, and I wasn't able to post again at that time.
    Joe Upshaw wrote:
    Sorry that this followup is more of a CSS question and less of an APEX question.That's OK. I know more about many aspects of CSS than I do about some of APEX!
    We have a CSS style sheet that we are including as part of the application (via a change to the template).When you say this do you mean that this style sheet replaces the default APEX theme CSS or that it is applied later in the cascade to augment/override the theme?
    However, we don't have any conditional* CSS formatting. I'm unsure of the syntax. I know I could paste the <style> section thgat you provided into the HTML Header section of the page but, as this is global, we'd prefer to do it in the CSS once for the whole app.There's no conditional processing in CSS. The browser applies the last rule it understands, which for this rule is roughly like this:
    /* Older IE & IE8/9/10 */
    filter: progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.Gradient(GradientType=0, startColorstr='#eee', endColorstr='#ddd');
    /* IE8/9/10 */
    -ms-filter: "progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.gradient(startColorstr='#eee', endColorstr='#ddd')";
    /* Older Safari & Chrome */
    background-image: -webkit-gradient(linear, 50% 0%, 50% 100%, color-stop(0%, #EEE), color-stop(100%, #DDD));
    /* Safari & Chrome */
    background-image: -webkit-linear-gradient(top, #EEE,#DDD);
    /* Older Firefox */
    background-image: -moz-linear-gradient(top, #EEE,#DDD);
    /* Firefox 16 & IE10 */
    background-image: linear-gradient(top, #EEE,#DDD);So the problem with unconditionally including
    button.apexir-button {
    filter: progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.Gradient(GradientType=0, startColorstr='#eeeeee', endColorstr='#dddddd');
    -ms-filter: "progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.gradient(startColorstr='#eeeeee', endColorstr='#dddddd')"
    button.apexir-button:hover {
    filter: progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.Gradient(GradientType=0, startColorstr='#ffffff', endColorstr='#eeeeee');
    -ms-filter: "progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.gradient(startColorstr='#ffffff', endColorstr='#eeeeee')"
    }later in the cascade is that it will override <tt>background-image: linear-gradient(top, #EEE,#DDD)</tt> for IE10 as IE10 still supports Microsoft's proprietary <tt>filter</tt> property.
    That's why I suggested using conditional comments.
    I tried this:
    button.apexir-button {
    [if lt IE 10] filter: progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.Gradient(GradientType=0, startColorstr='#eeeeee', endColorstr='#dddddd');
    [if lt IE 10] -ms-filter: "progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.gradient(startColorstr='#eeeeee', endColorstr='#dddddd')"
    button.apexir-button:hover {
    [if lt IE 10] filter: progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.Gradient(GradientType=0, startColorstr='#ffffff', endColorstr='#eeeeee');
    [if lt IE 10] -ms-filter: "progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.gradient(startColorstr='#ffffff', endColorstr='#eeeeee')"
    }and it did not solve the problem.That's not valid CSS: there's no conditional processing in CSS. We have to use the IE conditional comments in HTML.
    I also directly pasted the style tag version that you pasted above into the example at apex.oracle.com in the HTML header of the page.
    It did not solve the problem there either. Works for me. Needs to pasted in the right place after the APEX theme style sheet to effect the override.
    My recommendation would be to put the override in an external style sheet that you feed to earlier IE versions using conditional comments in each page template, which is the approach that APEX takes for IE workarounds:
    <!--[if lt IE 10]><link rel="stylesheet" href="..." type="text/css" /><![endif]-->There also another alternative: fix the errant APEX CSS at <tt>/i/themes/theme_24/css/4_1.css</tt> if the powers that be will allow it.

  • Custom Toolbar button in Adobe Acrobat Reader

    Hello Everyone,
    I need to add a custom toolbar button in Adobe Reader using C# 2.0 and performed some custom tasks by clicking on this button.
    Could anyone guide me, how to add a custom toolbar button in Adobe Reader application?
    PS: I have create a Shared Addin for adding Custom Toolbar for office applications but have no idea how to start for Adobe Reader application.
    Your instant reply will be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
    Best Regards,
    Malik Irfan

    I'm ok with just using Javascript to make the toolbar button, instead of C/C++.
    I assume you mean by your second point that I actually have to own Acrobat professional, which I do.
    I tried looking at the documentation, but it keeps crashing my browser.
    However, from my experience with all other Adobe products (Studio MX, Authorware, etc), I do not expect a detailed walkthrough from start to finish, with pictures saying "click here" and such.  Does this help manual actually contain this sort of thing?
    I really appreciate the fast replies!

  • Data View with customized command buttons

    I would like to show data from a table in browse window and place customized command buttons such as search key, filter, etc.
    Please advise.

    What you describe is a form. And you don't want a browse window, but a grid inside this form. The only thing you set in a grid in the first degree is the recordsource, and then it will display the same data view as a browse.
    The rest of your idea can be placed into the same form as controls, textboxes, buttons, etc. and you might make use of the idea sketched by Alaa Mukhtar.
    In the second degree, right click on controls you put on a form while designing it with the form designer, and you can get a help via a builder you get offered in the context menu.

    customCss.setProperty("background-color", "#FFFF00");
    OASubmitButtonBean button = (OASubmitButtonBean) webBean.findChildRecursive("Submit");
    if(button!=null)
    button.setInlineStyle(customCss); //set custom css style
