3015 all-in-one and Mac OS X 10.9

Upgraded to Maverick and now my printer won't print. Tried Hs workaround and that got the printer identified, but it still won't print. Is there another workaround? Does anyone know when HP will support 10.9 for the 3015?

This printer is supported with drivers for Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard and onwards. I have included a link to the driver's download page on HP.com.

New router (switched from Linksys to Netgear 750 - HP J4680 printer all in one - and MAC

My husband puchase a new router - (we were told our old router failed on us) - we had no problems setting up the netgear 750 from the linksys router we originally had - we have a MACBook Pro
My HP printer J4680 - ran beautifully before the router switch - now will only work when directly connected from MAC to printer.
We have had several people troubleshoot for us -( we live in the country - no IT personnel nearby) - no one can seem to get the connection going between the two devices - I reinstalled the printer - read and reread the troubleshooting manual on both router and printer - and performed all the recommendations listed. The basic setup instructions on the HF printer say that despite the proximity of the printer and the router the signal in only fair and that it appears to have a "security" issue - I turned off the firewall settings on computer - no change in status.
we are contemplating returning the Netgear 750 for another linksys - could someone please tell me how or if we can solve this problem w/o having to return the router?
We purchased this particular router for the MAC compatability - the wireless printer is fairly new <<5yrs old and never had any problems w/it.

I saw your post about the connection issues you are having with your new router, Mac computer and Officejet J4680. I understand you have done some troubleshooting already however, I have a suggestion or two for you to try.
On your Mac, try:
Mac OS X: How to reset the printing system
Repair disk permissions
Restart the Mac
Re-add the printer (do not use the AirPrint driver)
Test print
Next contact the router company or your internet service provider to check the settings on your new router. There may be a setting that is blocking the connection to your printer:
Network name and password need to have no spaces or punctuation
If using WPA2 security, switch to WPA personal
Dual broadcast Wireless b/g/n (printer will only connect to g)
Mac filter needs to be turned off
Firewall settings need to be at there default settings, or set to a lower security
Multicasting "on"
Following ports need to be un-blocked:
Incoming (UDP) ports : 137, 138, 161, 427
Outgoing (TCP) ports : 137, 139, 427, 9100, 9220, 9500

You should be able to just leave it on, it should have a sleep mode which it will enter after a while.

Just purchased an hp all in one and I can't download software called apple and they suggested either epson or canon as hp always causes trouble to mac's can anyone suggest a good ebson or canon all in one.

I just purchased an HP All-In-One and when I went to download software it said my Mac didnt support it to contact HP. When I contacted HP they wanted me to pay to set up my computer so the machine would work. I contacted Apple and the agent told me to take it back and get either Epson or Canon as HP is not always Mac friendly can anyone suggest a good Epson or Canon All In One. Thanks for your help..this HP is going back.

Epson withdraw support for my old printer, so I've stayed with Canon - who regularly updates its drivers. The Canon MX 892 has been getting strong reviews for print quality, speed, and special features. Refills, through a third-party vendor, can be very reasonable; so the liberal use of ink probably won't be a major concern (unless you choose to stay with the Canon-branded ink). Price is as low as $139, new, and about $100 used.

You don't need a phone port on the iMac. The HP 7300 DeskJet Pro has an internal modem, you connect the printer's modem connection directly to your phone line. Please re-read the install directions that came with the printer.

Launch iTunes then from the menu bar click Store / View My Account / Edit My Information.

I have a hp photosmart c7280 all in one and i get a message that says "pump motor stalled.

I have an HP photosmart C7280 All in One and I get a message that says pump motor stalled. I have done everything from resetting and turning it off. I have checked to make sure that there is not any paper jam. It makes a clicking sound after it has been reset and then the message "pump motor stalled" pops up. Any suggestions or should I just toss and buy new??? It is only three years old but it is out of warranty.

Ok. Found something that said to shut down and hold the option, command, p, and r keys on restart. Held them down for a few restarts and everything automatically signed in and works. Woohoo!!!

In the HP ENVY 4500 e-All-in-One Printer support page for scanning with a full feature driver installed. Under "How to scan a multi-page original into a single file for HP Scan software version 4.0. Everything is OK until after I've scanned the documents and clicked "Done". (Step # 6) & Click Send , click Folder , name your file, and then save the file to the computer.(Step # 7)
This is where I go wrong. I can't find the Format drop-down menu to complete Steps 8 & 9.
Click the Format drop-down menu, select Contents , and then check the box to Save all items to a single file .
Click Save .

HP C7283 All-In-One and wireless issues

I have the C7283 All-In-One hooked up on my home network. I'm running a Linksys wireless router (WRT54G) and sending prints to the unit that way. My main computer is an iMac with 10.5 and the latest drivers (2/2008) for the HP software.
The print jobs will spool up and the monitor will say printing next to the job, but the printer itself is idle as is the indicator above the print job. I'm not sure if the print job is too big or timing out or what. Any input would be appreciated. I seem to be able to send smaller print jobs.
I've also noticed on occasion that when I turn my printer off, then turn it back on later when I need it, the computer won't always see it. When this happens, I can't use the buttons on the 7283 to scan and have it go to the computer either. I assigned a fixed IP to the printer's MAC address on my Linksys router and gave up using DHCP for the printer assignment. Is this normal? Any other tips I should do on my router, printer, or computer to ensure communications are consistent?
I COULD wire this printer to the router, but I'd REALLY prefer to keep wireless as much as possible.

Instead of using a static IP address, configure the WRT54 to use a DHCP reservation for your printer. This will make the WRT54G assign the printer the same IP address after every power-cycle. BTW -- you might want to make sure the WRT54G has the latest firmware installed.
As for your print problem, you might try manually deleting the print queue (System Preferences, Print and Fax) and then re-add it. The Mac should discover the printer. Make sure to pick the Bonjour kind if you're presented a choice.
Last, let's check out your wireless environment. On the C7283, press the <setup> and <#> buttons simultaneously. This will generate an internal report. At the bottom of the page you'll see a wireless survey plus some recommendations. Try to set the wireless channel of the WRT54G to be at least 5 channels away from any other wireless network. In North America, there are only three non-overlapping Wi-Fi channels: 1, 6 and 11. It's actually better to share a channel with another wireless-network than to try to fit in-between 1, 6 and 11.

Have HP 4580 all in one and it worked excellent before Lion. Could print using Windows on desktop and using Macbook Pro.

Before upgrading to Lion on my MacBook Pro I could print on the HP C4580 All in One using HP Desktop with Windows 7 and using MacBook Pro with no problems. I upgraded to Lion now can only print when I shut down and restart my MacBook. If using the desktop or the Microsoft Office on my MacBook it kicks the printer offline and I have to restart my laptop. I called Apple and they said they did not support 3rd party software. I had previously purchased the printer through Apple with a desktop. I installed the new driver from HP and removed it, reinstalled. Guess what, same problem. Can anyone tell me how to make lion work. Apple will not provide help. Have a iPad and with a small app for $7.00 it prints great. HELP

You must work for Apple. Contacted the vendor downloaded their app. Everytime I open Microsoft Office for Mac it kicks printer off line and if I print from a Windows computer (which printer works perfect) it kicks printer off line. If I restart Mac it will print the item in the printer. Don't care what Apple says, prior to loading Lion never had any problems. Sounds as if Apple programers goofed up and just don't want to admit it and correct their problem. Your comments did not solve any problems, asking for help not Apple support.
