30EA1 : Filters history doesn't exist on table data tab anymore?

With the previous release, when we choose a table, it was possible to have a history for the filter on data tab.
Is this option still exist in this release?
Thanks, Cédric

  • EA1 - Filter on table Data Tab

entering a statement into the filter on the data tab of a table works fine. However, once you click on another tab - e.g an SQL Worksheet / saved Script or Other table, then click back, the statement you entered will have magically disappeared.
    Windows XP SP2

I also think applying the filter on leaving the tab isn't really desired behaviour; the user should apply explicitly hitting ENTER.
Right now, you could start entering a filter, reconsider half way, change tabs, and you'd get an error about the wrong filter syntax.
Additionally, this (and any other) bad filter is saved to the new (and loved) filter history. It would make sense only logging working filters, right?
    Thanks,

  • Can't do anything to table- data tab after cancelling initial query

When I select a table and go to "Data" tab, sqldeveloper executes initial query to fetch first 50 rows. While it does so, "refresh", "add" etc. icons, and "Sort..." button are blocked. The problem is, if I cancel that initial query, icons and buttons STAY grayed-out, so I can't refresh the table. Pressing enter on "filter:" field also doesn't work. The only way to restore functionality is close the tab and open it again.
    Steps to reproduce:
    1) Open a large table
    2) Filter it with some query
    3) Sort results
    4) Close the tab
    5) Open the table again. "Sort" settings persist, so SQLDeveloper starts running a very long query
    6) Press "Cancel Query" in the appearing box
Canceling the query somehow resets persisted Sort settings, so it works fine next time I open the table.

Can't reproduce it,Is there any setting
Umm, I'm not exactly sure what do you mean by that. I don't remember modifying anything in the preferences for persisted settings (like sorting order or hidden columns). In fact, I'm pretty sure there is no such settings in preferences.
As for reproducing the bug, may I ask you which step fails, exactly? Do sort settings reset when you open the table again? Or does the query executes instantly? Oracle sorts table too fast if it's under 1 000 000 rows, and it becomes visible on 8 000 000+ rows table.

  • Query Help - Add a column that doesn't exist in table

    Hello,
i have an application that runs a query in code off of a main query, and that query in code requires a column that does not exist in the main query that I created. how do I go about adding a column to a query that does not actually exist in the table or database that I am querying?
    For Example:
    SELECT PROJ_ID, PROJECT_NAME
    FROM PROJECT
I need a column called "DELETE_SESSION_ID" and this database/table does not contain that column anywhere. Is it best to create a view that creates the column somehow? I would prefer not having to create the column inside of the table. Any ideas are greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,

JeffYou need a way to obtain the value you need - a function to generate it, perhaps. A view using such a function or aquiring the value by other means should work well.
Pipelined functions work well to generate values that aren't in the database at run time - if your version of Oracle supports them

  • Customized table cell renderer doesn't work after table data model changed

    Hi:
I have a jtable with a custimized table cell render (changes the row color). Everything works fine while the data model is unchanged. I can change the row color, etc. However, after I delete one row or any number of rows in the table, the data model is updated and the custmized table cell renderer is not being called anymore while jtable is rendering on its cells. Seems like the table cell render is no long associated with the jtable. Is this a known problem? Any help would be appreciated.

  • FF 13: Why can't I open an existing link in new tab anymore?

This is such a simple but helpful feature. I only use it 150 times a day. I don't need some sort of Pinterest feature so I've disabed that.
I have zero need to click on the + button in the tabs bar to get a blank page.
I've tried a lot of configurations and add ons and disabling add ons and it just doesn't work anymore. I can't find anything in Google to help me fix this other than allow me to set the new tab to a static page, which also doesn't help me at all.
I want to select a tab, then click on the plus icon in the tab bar and create a duplicate tab of that page.
Do I really have to go back to Firefox 12?

Wow. That absolutely did not work. I either have to switch to Safari or go back to FF12 which I should not have to do. This sucks.

  • Enhancement request : Table - Data  -- Filter with multiple lines

It would be nice when the Filter option in the tables Data tab could contain multiple lines, because :
In case of a complex where clause on a table (used in a query) it's hard to get an impression of the filter because everything is typed on one single line.
In case of multiple lines it's also more easy to disable a single clause temporary with a double dash (--) at the start of the line instead of searching in a complex filter where to put /* ...*/
    Eric.

What I mean is the Filter option when displaying the data (Data tab) of a table. You have the possibility to enter a Sort and a Filter (to reduce the data that is displayed). That Filter option has no possibility to enter multiple lines. So there is no way to 'format' the filter which would be nice in case of complex or large 'where clauses'.
What would you prefer, this (multiple lines) ?
    AND ( p_peildatum IS NULL
    OR
    TRUNC(p_peildatum) BETWEEN TRUNC(dnm.datum_ingang)
    AND TRUNC(NVL(dnm.datum_einde,p_peildatum))
    AND ( p_ondergrens IS NULL
    OR
    TRUNC(p_ondergrens) <= TRUNC(NVL(dnm.datum_einde,p_ondergrens))
or this, like it is now (everything on one single line) :
    ( p_peildatum IS NULL OR TRUNC(p_peildatum) BETWEEN TRUNC(dnm.datum_ingang) AND TRUNC(NVL(dnm.datum_einde,p_peildatum)) ) AND ( p_ondergrens IS NULL OR TRUNC(p_ondergrens) <= TRUNC(NVL(dnm.datum_einde,p_ondergrens)) )

  • Error trying to relate tables "...either doesn't exist or doesn't have a relationship to any table available in the current context"

    I have two tables;
The first is my Order table which has a single row for each unique order - there are no duplicate order numbers. The order id column here is called
    OrderID.
The second is my Submissions table which is similar to a transactions table, there are multiple submissions for every order. This table also contains an
OrderID column that contains the relevant OrderID.
The submission table also contains a calculated field called Date and a calculated field called
MaxDate field which is the date of the most recent submission that relates to any particular order in cases where there are multipple.
My goal is to add a column to the Order table this MaxDate column. The reason for duplicating the information rather than linking the tables is because I need to create more calculated columns in the
Orders table based on this value.
I have created a relationship between the two tables however when I use:
    =RELATED(Submissions[MaxDate]
    I get this error:
"...either doesn't exist or doesn't have a relationship to any table available in the current context"
I don't really understand why this would be, because MaxDate definitely exists and contains only numerical values. What is more strange is that if I try and combine the data through a pivot table it actually works! I can create a pivot with OrderID in the first
column and then associate it with MaxDate from the Submissions
    table as the value.
Can anyone help me understand what is the problem here?
P.S. if it is useful the formula I'm using to calculate the MaxDate is:
    =MAXX(FILTER(Submissions,Submissions[OrderID] = EARLIER(Submissions[OrderID])),[Date])
    Thanks.

Can anyone please suggest the suitable resolution?

I added these keys but it is still not reflecting the columns. I tried with credential with DBA privileges but to no avail. The database connection is also getting connected with no hassles.

I figured it out after I went though my statements more closely.  The second line was reversed.
    FROM a as profile_values
It should be From provile_values as a.

  • Schematool : Table '...' doesn't exist on MySQL

I'm trying to use schematool to create the db tables that it has defined in

I am running with a MySQL DB v4.0.11a, and with its JDBC connector v3.0.8.
There are 3 jdo files being passed in (I assume it can cope with multiple
input files) - the Base class is Product (jdo file attached), with the
other 2 being derived from that.
The database exists, and I can access it (create tables, select etc) using
Triactive JDO (Triactive uses the table PRODUCT, whereas Kodo should be
creating 'Product'). In fact, Kodo has created a table JDO_SEQUENCEX, so
    its reaching the DB.
Any ideas what I'm missing ?
    Andy

I highly recommend using all upper-case in both metadata extensions as
well as in your own SQL scripts. For example, in Oracle, table names are
case-insenstive in SQL scripts, but for retrieval in system tables (e.g.
USER_TABLES), Oracle will reject non-matching cases.
This is good general policy with many databases, if not all.

  • Table or view doesn't exist when deploying a mapping

    Hello,
OWB and BI in general is new for me. I have read the tutorials but I have a problem and I don't understand how to solve it :
    I have 2 databases in 2 different services :
    - dbsrc (where I have tabsrc with 2 columns)
    - dbtarget (where I have tabtarget with 1 column)
    OWB connect correctly to dbsrc
I have made a mapping between dbsrc and dbtarget and I have just joined the second column of dbsrc with the unique column of dbtarget.
All the steps before deploying are ok but when I deployed I have a warning saying that table or view doesn't exist.
I have used the debugger and it seems that owb searches dbsrc in the service dbtarget ... I have copied my table from dbsrc to dbtarget and in this case the deployement and the execution of the mapping runs correctly.
What I'm doing wrong ? Why OWB isn't able to see that my table source is in another database/services ?
Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi,
In design center, you need two oracle dbs: one as data source (with a location pointing to you src db) and one as dwh target (with a location pointing to your target db).
Your mapping has to be in the target db. In the mapping, you use the target table from the target db and the source table from the source db.
When you deploy the mapping using control center manager, owb will create a database link for you from the target to the source db. The mapping will read the data through that database link and write it into the target table.
    Regards,
    Carsten.
