Hi Experts,
I have a query related to the working of proxies with a 4.6C system?what are the requisites?
Is it possible to communicate with proxies from xi to Sap 4.6C System with any addons/service packs..If so what are the requirements to achieve this?

Hi,
You cannot do it...you require above or equal to WEB AS 6.2.
If you are dealing with any ABAP application or JAVA application then you can go for ABAP and JAVA proxy(if WEB AS >= 6.20).
Advantages of using proxy
1) If you have a huge idoc that has to be transferred to ECC, then ideal would be to use a proxy
2)With proxy we get a lot of control on defining the interface, better performance
3) RFC adapter sounds easy , looks easy but comes with a heavy cost compared to proxy.

You don't. Since you have an Intel Mac, buy a Mac OS X 10.6 DVD from the online Apple Store.

Problem is most vehicles can't supply enough power to charge a MacBook Pro battery, not without placing a generator in the engine compartment someplace like police cars and campers have.
Apple provides the MagSafe Airline Adapter but it's designed for 15V, not the 12V of vehicles, then it's only to keep the battery from discharging on airplanes, it won't charge it.

Notice the device says:
"Input: 11-14V DC 8Amp MAX " - Cars are 12V DC.
Output: -DC 15V.... the same as the Airline Adapter
Looks like one needs to cut and splice the two parts/wires one needs together.
This 12V to 15V conversion is a lot better/streamlined than trying to upconvert 12V DC to a whopping 120 AC and then your Mac's power brick is downconverting 120AC to what it needs in DC to try to charge the battery which the vehicle can't supply the wattage for anyway.
Apple has a patent on the MagSafe adapter, they don't provide a 12V to 15V converter + MagSafe adaptor for the car. It would be nice if they did though.

New slide function and working with proxies

You need to run software update AFTER you connect the keyboard.
You will then get an update which makes the keys work on the Macbook pro.

Product Inventory System that Works With Business catalyst e-commerce site???? Tie into POS systems?

I am looking into getting involved with one of my long time design clients business more directly. Including, finding a solution for their inventory and being able to implement an e-commerce store for their products, which I would in turn get paid from a percentage of their online sales gross per month.
They operate a sort of mobile store that travels from various motorcycle events across the country with 3 different teams setting up at 3 different locations any one week or weekend. That aspect of the business is really seeing some serious cash sales, but they are constantly being asked about future online sales with the customers at these events which currently they have no solution for.
So I am curious if there are systems available that would or could work with a Adobe Business Catalyst e-commerce site that would allow for inventory to be scanned and bar-coded on delivery and would be able to have the new items logged into the website as sellable products while also giving the mobile stores a POS system that they can make sales from that track the current accurate inventory.. ???????

I did try unpinning but that didnt work for me either.
It took too long to get an answer so I am now using another system that doesnt have this problem. Hopefully when I use Muse again I wont have this problem. Sorry.

Hi Peter,
If you have got WAD installed in your System. First declare default web templates in SPRO->BW-->BEx Web.
After this activate the services in the SICF>Execute>Default host->drilldown to Bw then right click on BW and deactivate services then activate it again.

Does ThinkVantage System Update work with IdeaCentre desktops?

As in the title ... does the TVSU function correctly with IdeaCentre desktops? I recently pruchased a K330 7727-3GU and receive a "no applicable packages" message before System Update finishes it's search.
If System Update does not work with IdeaCentre hardware then do we have to manuually download drivers and sw updates?

Idea systems and Think systems are two different systems with 2 different software packages.
TVSU won't work with Idea systems. Yes, you manually update drivers and packages.
TVSU is usually a little behind anyway with current updates. Updated drivers get posted to the driver page first, then they go into TVSU.
Idea systems have their own versions of power management, internet access management, and security suite.
Start, all programs, under Lenovo, you'll find the applicable utilities for the Idea systems.
Think systems have them under Thinkvantage.

Will Windows 7 OEM/System builder work with bootcamp?

Hello,
I have a early 2009 Mac Pro 2.26x2. I want to install windows 7. Will windows 7 Professional 64bit OEM/System builders edition work with my mac and boot camp, or do I need the full retail version? The OEM system builder edition is much cheaper than the retail version. Later on I may build a core i7 kit PC as a dedicated game machine, would I be able to use the same copy of WIndows 7 64bit OEM/System builder, or would I have to buy another copy for the kit PC? Hi Eric,
recently installed Win7 systems builder version without issues.
System builder versions aren't originally boxed, manuals and MS phone support is not included.
Be aware that Home Premium is limited to only 1 physical cpu (unlimited cores), Professional and Ultimate support 2 physical cpu (Had to learn this the hard way).
If you buy a PC later on without preinstalled OS, you officially will have to buy another copy (or family pack) of Win7.

I have a I Pad, which I down loaded IOS 7. I have a HP Photo smart D7460, which works within my wifi internet system. Works with all other Apple devices. How can I join the IPad?

iPad trouble with printing on hp D7460. All other apple devices work with it wifi.

If your printer doesn't support AirPrint, HP has app that enables printing to some of their other wireless printers. Third-party printing apps such as PrintCentral are also available. All such apps have limitations, so check them out thoroughly before you pay for any such app.
You can also route the printing through your computer. If you have a Mac, Printopia would be worth a look. Fingerprint is another option that is available for both Mac OS X and Windows system. You could also consider an AirPrint-capable print server. Lantronix makes a couple of models, including one that supports a USB printer:

System nt working with /Webdynpro/Dispacther

Hello i created a system in system Admin. with alias SAP_Webdynpro_XSS...
When i test the system for Connector, ITS it works fine.
But when i test the system for WAS giivng /Webdynpro/Dispacther as the Web AS Path it fails, when i check the error log it gives me a link saying it was unable to reach i.e
http://system:port/webdynpro/dispather not reached.
when i try to run the above url same thing happens.....
I then replaced /Webdynpro/Dispacther with sap/bc/bsp/sap ...and tested the system it works...that means system parameters defined are correct..
What do i do, is webdispather not working? how do i troublesshoot this?
What is the role of the Webdispatcher in portal??

8004 is the correct port for ecc as connector ie testing fine.

Can anyone suggest a Lightscribe system that works with the mac?

I bought a LaCie Lightscribe drive. I got it home and was excited because everything was supposed to be plug and play for the Mac. It wasn't. I installed the driver and downloaded the interface to print to the disc. Everything looked like it would work as most stuff does on a Mac --easy.
But when I got to the print dialog box -- it said it couldn't find the drivers. I re-installed, updated, tried different cords, rebooted, rebooted the drive, tried a different interface. It was frustrating because the drive recognized the DVD and tried to let me watch the video in iDVD and Toast recognized the drive.
But when I got ready to print--no drive.
Anyhow, after talking to tech support I boxed it up to send it back to LaCie. Now I am wondering if there is a lightscribe system that will work with a Mac. Anybody have any success stories?

And welcome to apple discussions. LaCie is actually one of the better S-Drives for mac in terms of an external burner (at least from reading this forum). How do I get a 5.1 audio system to work with my Macbook?

So, I just got my new Macbook Pro 13 inch, and I was so excited to use it, but I realised the uh, speakers sucked. Right now I have some really crappy speakers plugged in through the audio out port, and it's not really making me happy. Not one bit. So, I'm getting a 5.1 surround sound audio system to make me not so depressed with my sound-lovingness, but I've run into the problem of not knowing how to plug one in, cause there isn't exaclty a place to put all those wires. I just need a little help from a fellow sound lover to figure this out, so I can at last let my room tremble with the magnificent power of a better-than-crappy sound system. Thank you very much!

Good sound costs money. And with a 5.1 system your usually doing surround sound decoding for BlueRay movies etc. for home theater purposes.
The PC 5.1 surround sound systems require a audio card in a PC tower and mainly used for playing 3D games so that won't work for any Mac at all. So don't buy a PC 5.1 surround sound system for your Mac.
Harmon Kardon has the GoPlay, it's a portable stereo with awesome sound (not as good as their theater systems) and you can hook up a analog male/male stereo mini cable to it from the Mac.
$200 and it has a iPod dock and also takes like 8 batteries so it's portable.

There is also the Bose Wave clock/radio, you will need a stereo mini to RCA break out cable for that.

Working with proxies

am doing a 1080 HD project using my powerbook.
have captured the HD plates and am currentky renedering out 1/3 proxies files to speed things up a little on my mac.
was wondering if you have any tips about working in this mannre.
it is a blue screen shoot composited on to live action -will need rotoscoping for certain elements.
are there certain parts which I wold be best not working in proxy for and others not - will i get any ill effects by working this way?

Improve my system to work with Adobe Ae/ Au/ Sg

- Installing a DD OWC 6G SSD
I put on the OS system
Next step in order:
- Installation of a second SSD: Disk works
- Installing a video card 2GB or 3GB
- Installation (if necessary) a sound card with HDMI output for 7.1
Tests with the second monitor output with a Displayport / HDMI adapter to the original Graphics ATI Radeon HD 5770 1024 MB Video card:
- The system recognizes the output to 7.1, but no sound is heard .....
- The video part, issued a video signal, then after a few minutes the video signal is switched off on the second monitor
I do not know why I have this problem with the original video card

Audio: Denon Amp A11xva, and 7 speakers Triangle and subwoofer Velodyne DD18
Video: Sony VW90
Acoustic treatment summary, in the corners and the bottom of the piece of work.

The adapter is probably not stop the audio from outputing Displayport, it has an Apple Store.
