404 FileNotFoundException: launch-monitor.cfm after applying Coldfusion hotfix APSB11-04

Hi,
After applying this hotfix I encounter a FileNotFoundException when trying to access a Server Monitor (see below..).
Any advice most appreciated..

We have a multi server environment: 5 instances (Admin x 1, Application x4).
Without hotfix:

If NOT logged in I am presented with the login screen, after submitting I am taken to the server monitor without error.
Note: The Server Monitors could never be launched via 'Launch Server Monitor' within the Administrator web interface for each application instance; instead the following message display 'The URL is not valid and cannot be loaded'.

This appears to occur after I overlay the old CFIDE directory(s) with the new. As far as I can see there are not really any config(text) files I could have overwritten, but rather the cfm binaries have changed.
Questions
=========
The workaround is that I make sure I am logged in before attempting to access Server Monitors urls, BUT..
- How serious is this ?
- Is there a fix ?
I am reluctant to apply to Production environment...

Group Policy Status or Monitoring tool after applying

Hi,
We have over 100 computers in our network and whenever I create a GPO and apply it on domain level, if I am lucky sometimes it applies properly to all domain users otherwise for some it might not apply and then I have to keep troubleshooting or otherwise have to wait until a user complaints about the instability.
Is there anyway I can check the status of GPO applied by computer names or at least which computers did not receive or failed to apply the group policy pushed from server.

Over the past few weeks, Spicerex and I have been catching up on a little known TV series called Game of Thrones. Unfortunately, I don't have a TV service which allows me to watch it, so we've had to resort to Blu-Ray

Multiple row insert not working as before after applying hotfix apsb13-13

Coldfusion 9.01
Windows Server 2003
Microsoft Access database (yeah, we know)
Before the hotfix was applied, we could add multiple rows (anywhere from 1-100 or more) and now we're limited to 15 rows at a time after applying the hotfix. We've narrowed it down to the hotfix being the culprit as we had to rebuild the server not to long after this hotfix was applied (~ 1 month) and the multiple row inserts were once again working fine until we got to the point of applying this hot fix again.
Anyone heard of this happening? Any ideas how to correct?

After applying Hotfix 2910552,while doing Migration from Win XP to Win 8.1 got Error 800700C1

I have two SCCM Lab. Both have same configuration and hotfix(2910552) installed.
I am doing hardlink migration from Windows XP to Windows 8.1.
In one of the lab migration from XP to win 8.1 have successfully implemented after applying the hotfix 2910552,and then after updating the Boot image. But i am getting issue while doing the same on my second lab. The error in log file is
Command line execution failed(0x800700C1)
Failed to install boot image,is not a valid win32 application
Failed to reboot the system(0x800700C1)

2012R2 Application installation steps after deploying OS from Task sequence is slow after applying hotfix 2910552

We are currently using CM2012r2 for Endpoint protection, and in trying to save licensing costs, I have been given the task of doing imaging and application deployment through CM as well... everything started off well... noticed that imaging took a lot longer
than I remembered when I used CM2007 at my previous employer. Found we needed hotfix 2910522 and what took an hour to download now only takes 5 minutes (yay!) Then started other strange issues. Mostly the fact that in the task sequence, the install application
blocks (we have 3 with 4-8 apps each) suddenly got really slow to execute. (boo!) The application blocks eventually finish, but take about 5 hours and only the last block actually installs. For example: 7zip takes 15 minutes to "install"
but since it isn't in the last block, it doesn't in fact install on the system.
so here is what I know so far:
Updated the boot image after applying the hotfix
Added the hotfix to the Windows and configmgr setup step command line to install the patch
Verified that all applications install correctly outside of the task sequence.
Created a new task sequence just in case the hotfix messed something up.
here is what I've noticed:
Only happens on workstations that have been imaged previously by CM (even if I remove the machine from AD and CM)
New machines image just dandy
not hardware specific (tested on 5 different laptop models and 3 desktop models)
workstations that have the issue, when finished, only installed the applications from the last block (4 apps) and none from the previous 2 blocks (16 applications)
If imaged new (not previously known) it installs the client correctly and it checks in, ones with the issue are in internet only mode and don't see the PKI cert for the machine, and will not check in.
Things I've checked, double checked, verified, and done:
All applications have the box for "allow this application to be installed from the Install Application task sequence action..."
applications are on all distribution points
Distribution points are healthy
One MP/DP was complaining about how it couldn't access a SMS folder. uninstalled the roles, let it sit over the weekend, reinstalled this morning
Verified that the servers were on 10Gb full and were not throwing error on the line
Antivirus scanning was not scanning the store (used the built in template for scep)
Next steps that I am going to try:
create a new task sequence and split up install application blocks to only have single applications in them
recreate the boot wim for the media

So this issue of yours is in B&C -task sequence? You're using capture CD for capturing, why? Why not automate the build entirely.
I'd suggest you add this:

After you've done your golden .wim, deploy it to your clients.
We don't do a build and capture because certain applications require handling on our part. Management has said it needs to be a certain way, therefore this is how we have to build it. (mostly settings, and views that can't be controlled through registry,
Group Policy, etc.) There are users that if they have to click on an accept button or it isn't the right color, or they want a different icon in their lab, then they go to the top and it comes back down to us, and our lives become miserable.
We create the image in audit mode, capture it using boot media, and sequence in things that are updated constantly (flash, shockwave, java, etc.) through the task sequence.
in relation to that KB, why would it work on new machines but not ones that have been touched before?

Error 404 after applying p9492821 to OBIEE 10.1.3.4.1 on SUN Solaris

I have applied teh above patch to OBIEE 10.1.3.4.1 on sun solaris as per the steps provided in the patch doc.
But after applying patch when i try to connect to presentation layer i am getting error
HTTP 404 Not Found

if i browse http://192.17.61.85:9704/ i am able to get the welcome page.

bi server and presentation services are also running

Are you able to reach presentation services and login if you go to http://192.17.61.85:9704/saw.dll ?
If so this may be a JEE application container issue or some type of rewriting of the URL going on.
Do you have a list of all the items that the patch modified?

After applying Security Update 2006-001 can't launch Office X apps

I noticed that, after applying Security Update 2006-001, I can't launch Microsoft Word nor Excel nor Power Point (Office X, 10.1.6 updated). If I double click the app icon, select and try to open from File menu or try to launch it from the Dock, I get the message "The app has unexpectedly quit". This does not affect Entourage so far. I can open existing files double clicking on their icons and, once the app is running, create new files from menu bar. Repaired permissions, checked for corrupted preferences files or templates but to no avail.
Can anybody help?

DivX Doctor is a freeware I had downloaded a few days before applying Security Update 2006-01 (http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/4683). It certainly was responsible for my problems with Office X apps because, as I said, they completely disappeared as soon as I got rid of it.
I hadn't the memory problems you mentioned (I've applied also Security update 2006-02 without problems).

ACS 5.1 "Launch Monitoring & Report Viewer" not working

I'm trying to view the logs on the ACS server via the web interface. When I click on "Launch Monitoring & Report Viewer", it opens a new window and I get the error "cannot display the webpage". This happens on both Firefox and IE. The URL it's trying to load is this: https://x.x.x.x/acsadmin/ReportsRedirectorAction.do
These are relatively new boxes so I don't know if I missed some config bit somewhere to enable that utility or what.

I had the issue in ACS 5.1 no patch and it was fixed after reboot and after applying patch three it didnt showed up. The only difference is i had a standalone ACS.Who is the log collector in your setup?

here is the procedure to apply patch 3 ( on both primary and secondary)
downlaod the file : 5-1-0-44-3.tar.gpg
and place the file in the FTP server in your enviroment
Login to the ACS CLI :
Create a repository:
acs/admin(config)# repository myrepository
acs/admin(config-Repository)# url sftp://starwars.test.com/repository/system1
acs/admin(config-Repository)# user luke password skywalker
acs/admin(config-Repository)# exit
then run this command :
acs patch install patch-name.tar.gpg repository repository-name
#Installing an ACS patch requires a restart of ACS services.

Error could not access a java object field called allowAppDataInServContext after Applying Security

After applying the security patch 12-26 I am getting the error "Could not access a java object field called allowAppDataInServContext". When I removed the update the error goes away. When I read the update it returns.
The error states it occurred in the following line: cfapplication name="somename" clientmanagement="No" sessionmanagement="Yes" setclientcookies="Yes"

Is it a linux server? Look at the following, second comment.

Variable SERVERNAME is undefined in CFIDE after applying security patch for APSB09-12

We attempted to apply the hotfixes available for ColdFusion and JRun released August 17, 2009 on our ColdFusion v8.0.1 and now are not able to connect to the ColdFusion administrator page.

This was caused by the Adobe patch, we removed the patch and applied the newly provided hot fix 3 and that resolved the issue.

SQL Developer 1.5.1 failed to start after applying patchset 11.1.0.7

After applying patchset 11.1.0.7 to Oracle 11g (11.1.0.6) running on Windows 2003, when starting SQL Developer 1.5.1 I got an error:
"Unable to find main class. Class specified is: oracle/ide/boot/Launcher".

It is possible that the patch has replaced you shortcut with one pointing to the version within the 11g home. Try running sqldeveloper directly from the executable in the 151 directory.

Windows could not search for new updates after applied June 2014 Windows Updates - Error code 80244004

After applied June 2014 Windows Updates from Microsoft (Not using WSUS server to obtain WU), our Windows Server 2012 R2 and Windows Server 2008 now getting this error message when we perform the "Check for Updates":
Windows could not search for new updates. Error code 80244004.

Just addition, please refer to following KB to reset Windows Update components and monitor the result.
How do I reset Windows Update components?
If didn’t use ESET security software, please also refer to following thread and check if can help you.
