5.1 version EAR built for WLS6.1

I have posted this in this ng before, but havent got a reply yet. I hope
somebody can help, cos I havent been able to progress further because of
this problem.
Im trying to install a EAR file built for EJB 1.1 spec on to WLS
6.1.3(running on Win2K Prof, with Oracle 8.1.7).
There are 2 problems:
1. I havent been able to succesfully deploy my ear file on WLS6.1 with
XADrivers. The cmp beans do not deploy. They fail with the following
exception :
Unable to deploy EJB: EntityBeanA from ejbJars.jar:
The Container-Managed Persistence Entity EJB failed while creating its SQL
TypeMap. The error was: null, Exception = null
Having experimented with a large number of configuration parameters for the
connection pool and TXdatasources, I finally have this in my config
file,which Ibelieve is right :

2. So I have arrived at the (erroneous?) conclusion that something's wrong
with my application's descriptors. Im attempting to create an EJB1.1 bean
with WLS6.1 weblogic-ejb-jar and weblogic-cmp-rdbms-jar xml files.
2.1. Is this combination valid?
2.2 Ii try to run ejbc on such a jar file with one test bean (with an
ejb1.1 ejb-jar.xml and WLS 6.1 weblogic-ejb-jar.xml and wls6.1
weblogic-cmp-rdbms-jar.xml).
2.2.1 The weblogic-ejb-jar has the type-version tag as 5.1.0. I get
the following errors :
ERROR: Error from ejbc: Error while reading
'META-INF/weblogic-cmp-rdbms-jar.xml'. The error was: while processing
weblogic-rdbms-bean.xml file: encountered an unexpected version of xml
file. Make sure that your weblogic-rdbms-bean.xml file is the correct
version (e.g. a common error is to use a 6.0.0 CMP20 cmp xml file on a
5.1.0CMP11 Bean). Got xml processor:
weblogic.ejb20.dd.xml.WebLogicEjbJarLoader_WLS600
2.2.2 The weblogic-ejb-jar has the type-version tag as 6.0. I get
the following errors :
ERROR: Error from ejbc: Error while deploying EJB 'Ctpaclxrf'. The bean is
using container managed persistence version 1.x, but the bean's persistence

So Im at a loss currently. Nothing seems to be working. Im sorry for the
long post, but I'd be very grateful if somebody could help. Any help at all

I am looking to buy a new Receiver that will be able to run my HDTVs, PS3, Surround sound system, Netflix Movie rentals, Apple TV, etc. I am considering a unit in the Yamaha Aventage series. But According to Best Buy's information, many of them are not "Built for Blu Ray). If you compare the RX-A1000 to the RX A-3000, the 1000 is not built for Blu Ray and yet it's a unit that costs a grand while the RX A-3000 is built for Blu Ray and it costs $1,800. What is the meaning of "Built for Blu Ray" in layman's terms? Do I need it (if so, why)? What am I missing if I don't have it?
I have found the term: "Built for Blu Ray" to be a general term that really does not denote a specific function. If the AVR you're considering has HDMI ins and outs it will inherently support any device (including Blu Ray) that has this standard connection. You do not need to seek out a unit that has this marketing mumbo jumbo and (in my humble experience) you won't be missing out on any functionality.
You probably DO need to be concerned if it has "HDMI Up-Conversion". This allows you to plug in analogue sources (composite or component... like the Nintendo Wii), and the receiver will convert the signal to a 1080p "like" image AND convert it to a digital signal and output it to HDMI. Without this functionality you will have to use analogue inputs and outputs. Almost all AVRs at the price you quoted are standard with this, but you should still double check.
When selecting a new AVR, you MAY also want to be sure that it is "3D Ready" even if you're not. This means it has the HDMI 1.4 version installed and will support 3D content. You may want to buy a future TV or device that has this functionality (your PS3 is already ready to play 3D Blu Rays if you've done recent firmware updates). 3D support is becoming more standard on AVRs these days though.

'm having a problem with downloading and installing the new version of itunes for windows (11.1.4) I have done everything the troubleshooting article has said and it is still not working properly. I have even done a repair to see if that works and it has not. Has anyone else found a new way to get it working?

Need to Install Safari 6.0.2 on a white Intel core duo iMac. Had to throw out 6.0.3 because of conflict with required software. Downloaded wrong version that was for Mountain lion (I am running 10.7.5). It installs but won't open, says it is for Mountian Lion.
Of course I can't throw it away since I get a message it's part of the sytem. recieved error message that states" itunes exe has been set to run in compatibility mode for an older versions of windows for best results turn off compatibility mode for itunes before you open it. How do i access compatibility mode and turn it off ? Believe i have Windows 7.

I select photos in Bridge then click on Create, there appears to be selections for Web Photo Gallery and for PDF Slideshow but no selection for plain ordinary Slideshow. Did Adobe eliminate the plain jane Slideshow from this version?

BobThanks Barbara, I will go to the Hands On Training Room at the Green Valley Camera Club and use one of the Vista machines to build my lesson plan. Hopefully that version will have a basic Slideshow selection. When I saw the new PSE Version 8.0 for the Mac I thought it would be the one to use to teach the new class next week, so I installed the Trial version.

I have Pages version 2.1 for the i-pad. I have Pages on my Macbook, version 4.3. When I try to ipen a doc on my Mac it says I need a newer version to open this doc. There is no newer version. I need these docs in a bad way and cant get to them on the Mac. Any ideas?
IOS Pages 2.0 and 2.1 implement an entirely incompatible document format with Pages ’09 v4.3. It cannot open them, and you are then prompted to update to Pages v5+ which is compatible with your IOS Pages.
Unfortunately, updating to Pages v5+ is a bad thing, as it is a brand new application that has omitted over 90+ features from Pages ’09 v4.3. When you update to Pages v5+, it will move your old still functional version of the earlier Pages into /Applications/iWork. Aside from all the missing functionality, Pages v5+ will likely damage older documents that depend on specific Pages ’09 v4.3 features (including AppleScript and custom Templates).
Oh, by the way, the older and new Pages documents have the same filename extension (.pages) making document organization difficult without applying different tag colors to old and new documents.
We are recommending that users remain on their earlier Pages version. You may have to export documents from IOS Pages as Word .docx to avoid the OS X Pages update notice. -
If I'm in LIghtroom 5, and try to Edit in Photoshop CS6, I always get the following message: "This version of Lightroom may require the Photoshop Camera Raw plug-in version 8.6 for full compatibility." But I have updated to 8.6 and have no remaining updates. How can I fix this?
If I click "Open Anyway" or "Render using Lightroom", I get the following message:
"Adobe Photoshop CS6 cannot be opened because of a problem.
Check with the developer to make sure Adobe Photoshop CS6 works with this version of OS X. You may need to reinstall the application. Be sure to install any available updates for the application and OS X."
Please tell me what to do so I can edit from Lightroom to Photoshop.In Photoshop, if you choose Help - About Plug-in... - Camera Raw, does it say 8.6?
Seems to me there was some hiccup they found in the update process, which prompted this:
Camera Raw updates cannot be applied
I honestly don't know if the problem could apply to 8.6 as well, which is why I asked you to check to make very sure you really got it.

When Firefox 4 was proposed, I immediately checked the system requirements for Mac user:
"MacOS 5
MacOS 6"
So I downloaded it, since my OS is 10.5.8 (PPC), I thought I was fine. When downloaded, the Firefox icon showed a Stop sign in the middle: maybe a new logo? But when trying to open it, a window popped up saying this version was not compatible with my system. Therefore, using Time Machine, I reverted back to Firefox 3.6.16.
If this is the case, you should absolutely warn '''PPC''' users not to download Firefox 4. Your version is probably for '''Intel''' versions.
Unless you come up with a fix, I won't be able to use Firefox 4 until I change computers, having updated my system to the last possible upgrade.Firefox 4 requires at least OS X 10.5 and an Intel Mac. I have been all over that article trying to figure this issue out. The problem for me is, my app store, my wife's app store, my friend's app stores, etc. all have updated versions of GarageBand iOS and we have updated iOS to 7. I can't downgrade to iOS 6 any longer. I've asked a friend to trade me his old iPad for my newer one! And on and on to no avail.
Is there a way I can download a pre - 2.0.1 version of GarageBand iOS from a 3rd party? Can the file be placed somewhere and then onto my Mac via iTunes? I have contacted app store support about this. They offered to refund my $4.99, but cannot give me my also purchased (on a different account and updated there as well) old version of GB iOS.
I have a compatibility issue between the latest GB for iOS and Logic Pro 9 on the Mac. LP 9 will not open the latest version of GB iOS. I cannot download LP 10 bc my 2007 MP is 32-bit EFI. I'm not comfortable w/ the hacks for getting Mavericks, etc. as I'm not computer savvy. I'm a songwriter who wants to write and record as simply as possible. My current set-up runs like a tank. GB iOS is great for getting ideas down when on the road. Then I flesh things out on the Mac in LP and add the audio tracks there as well.
Anyone know a workaround for opening GB 2.0.1 iOS in LP9? I don't want the audio BTW, just the MIDI. I can find the audio by show package contents, etc. but I can't see the MIDI info in the folder. Maybe my OSX won't recognize as I could possibly do this manually? When I unpack a pre-2.0.1 GB file on the Mac, I can see both the audio and the MIDI, but not on the new GB ".band" file. Any thoughts or ideas are welcomed. Thank you!

I just downloaded the latest version of iTunes for Windows and now iTunes crashes everytime I launch it. I have tried re-downloading and selecting Repair with no luck. Any suggestions?

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
If you've already tried a complete uninstall and reinstall try opening iTunes in safe mode (hold down CTRL+SHIFT as you start iTunes) then going to Edit > Preferences > Store and turning off Show iTunes in the Cloud purchases. You may find iTunes will now start normally.

I have an old IPID touch and just bought a anew Nano. If I downoload the latest version of Itunes for my Nano, will I lose all of my osns stored in my old version of Itunes and can I still use my Touch (with my current songs on it) with the new version of Itunes? In the past when I downloaded a new version, I lost my songs on my Touch. Thank you for any help any one might offer.

What's the optimum version of Safari for OS 10.3.9?

What is the optimum version of Safari for use on a PowerBook G3 "Pismo" running OS 10.3.9? I'm currently running 1.2 (v 125). I've downloaded 1.3.1 but when I try to install it says "Not compatible with this system." Is there some version in between that would work better? If so, I haven't been able to find it, and the Update Software feature doesn't find it either.

The highest version for Panther is 1.3.2.
Before you can install 1.3.1, you need to install 1.3. This may get you there: Apply the 10.3.9 Combined Update. Do not use the computer while the Installer is running. Once complete you'll need to restart the computer.
Then, via your Finder, go to your Applications>Utilities folder. Open Disk Utility. When open, click on the HD on the left, then First Aid Panel>Repair Permissions on the right. Once complete, open Safari.
When the Safari browser is open, go to the Safari Menu>About Safari. Which version are you using? If it is 1.3.2, then you're good to go. If it is 1.3, then run the 1.3.1 installer again. Once finished (I believe you'll have to restart), run the 1.3.2 update. Once the installer/restart is complete again "repair permissions".
