6310i Locks up Exiting Text Editor
I have 2 x 6310i both of which have shut down and will not restart. All I did was try and Exit Editor having successfully Forwarded an SMS.
The phones turned themselves off and now when I go to turn them on they simply flash the screen a few times like they're trying to start but ultimately give up.
Is there any way I can re-set the phones?
Has this been fixed as I have just had the exact same problem, If so what was the fix thanks alan

I have an Order eg.110022345...Under that Order,there are many line items...Say if i select one line item and change its Schedule line date,then that line item will get cancel and in turn an corresponding New line item will get ceated.
However,the Content of the TEXT fields is not copied to the line item from the parent line item.
I guess the STD SAP code functions in that way.So i thought of writting an Zcode to apply this functionality by using the Function modules "SAVE_TEXT" and "READ_TEXT_INLINE".
In order to do this i need to know the User exit or BADI which is suitable for my requirment.

I'm not sure but may be you need to use FM 'CREATE_TEXT' instead of 'SAVE_TEXT'.
First try with "SAVE_TEXT" if it won't work then use 'CREATE_TEXT'.

Nokia 6103 - Exiting from Text Editor
I have just got a Nokia 6103 and am very happy with it (much better interface than my old Motorola), but I have a problem with Text messages.
I create a text message and send it OK. I would then expect to be taken back to the main menu or message menu, but this phone takes me BACK into the Text editor, editing the message I've just sent. I then have to do Options => Exit Editor to get out. THEN it saves my message to my 'saved messages' folder, but of course I don't want it there as there is already a copy in my 'Sent Items'.
Can anyone tell me how I configure my phone to automatically exit the Text editor after sending a text message ?You cannot set the phone to close the editor after sending a message.
What works is once selected "Send" and it starts sending just press the red phone and it will quit to the main screen and send your message in the background. Shortly afterwards it should tell you Message Sent (or failed), but you can use your phone in the meantime. -
Hello. I am using Breeze text editor on my macbook. To exit the editor I need to use "keypad 8". Is there a way to map this to the keyboard or a series of shortcut keys?
I have found the solution for myself for the above. I use a specific scripting program which is accessed by Control A. To pause it, you need to use Control B. not sure if this would work for any other application but it resolves my dilemma after hours of trying!

How to clear the text in the Text Editor
Hi all,
I created a Text editor and also i am having language field in the screen.
whenever i change the language auomatically the text has to change when the text exists for that
language.
this is working fine, but when the Text exist , the text editor should be blank.
But it is carrying the Previous editor text itself into it .
How to clear the text in the Editor.

How to create a text editor, the one like header text in PO
Dear Ones,
My requirement is that I want to create a text editor for storing terms and condition plant wise.
The editor should be the one like header text in PO. It can take end number of lines.
I created the text object ('TERMS') in table ttxob and text for it in table ttxot.
Also created text id ('L000' and 'L001') in table ttxid and text for it in table ttxit.
Now using FM read_text, save_text and edit_text, I have written a program but it does not save the data.
When I run the program initially it displays me blank, then I enter some data into it. Again when I come back it displays the data and also saves the edition. But if I close my session the data is gone.
It means it is not actually saving the data in database. My code is as below:

Searching for a good programming text editor
Does there exist a text editor for Linux that has got these features?
-can open multiple documents
-can easily switch to any open document, e.g. by just clicking the document in a list or tree on the left (tabs alone won't do because there's not enough space to slow 20+ documents if there are only tabs)
-has a built in command prompt to type compile and debugging commands, which is by default in the folder where your documents are, if all documents are in the same folder at least, otherwise it doesn't really matter to me
-can save sessions, projects, ..., which basically is a way to quickly open your multiple documents belonging to a certain project
-has a super cool search function with options like "whole word" and "case sensitive" clearly visible in the search dialog, and remembering these settings for any open document you search in
-can easily search through all open documents (e.g. like visual studio can)
-has the type of text editing GUI where you can use the mouse to select text, use ctrl+a to select all, use ctrl+c/ctrl+v to copy paste, home/end to navigate the cursor to begin/end of line, F3 to search for next match, etc... (so no vi derivates I'm afraid)
-has modern interface, menus, file save/open dialogs, etc..., not something that appears to come from 1995 (so I think emacs is out of the question)
What I'm looking for is similar to Kate 3.5 or parts of MS Visual Studio. However Kate 4.1 isn't suitable anymore because they destroyed the search function of it. And preferably something that is independent of a desktop, because it's sad that Kate's features can get ruined by people who develop a desktop.
Does anyone have ideas if there exists such a program?

Look good, but ONE thing: I found that F8 "Output" opens a screen that has some properties of a linux terminal except some weird "Exit code:1" messages. However, if I press the "up" arrow, it doesn't scroll through the console history but instead moves a cursor up. I need it to work like a linux terminal with history because I don't want to retype long commands all the time. It also doesn't show the correct type and color of my user prompt. Is there any way to get a more conventional console in the Scite window somewhere?
Also, scite's interface also looks a bit 1995
EDIT: oh hmmm and it appears to not be able to open more than 10 files. That's too limited I'm afraid

Module Pool Text Editor Problem
Hi
I have developed module pool program which has 3 tab strips. In the last (3rd) Tab Strip I need to input Long Text. I have the done the coding but when I go to the Last tab and then come back to any other tabs, the text editor is overwriting the other fields in the other tabs. Can any tell how to solve this problem

Nano text editor reformats pasted text. How to disable
When using nano text editor in terminal to edit a shell file, it reformats text that I paste in from the clipboard. I can't find any way to disable this. There is nothing in the nanorc docs that at all seems to apply. This is on a default configuration for nano on OS X Snow leopard.
Here is an example:
If I cut the following text from text edit or bbedit:

Notice that is stripped the comment symbols '#' from the comment lines and concatenated them
then it stripped the carriage returns from the other lines and concatenated them.

I have been using text editor control.
In this when we click load file button...an open prompt window appears..
there we will be finding Files of type... dropdown..containing values like text(.txt) file and All file types..
Is there any way to restrict this dropdown to single value..i mean to .txt file..should only be viewed omitting
All files option in dropdown..
i am using CL_GUI_TEXTEDIT..control...
Is there any option to do it...

I don't think there is any method for this. As the dialog box opened is depending on your OS.
But, you can cross check the uploaded file for " .txt " using CP (contains pattern) function of string.
DATA: xl type string.
xl = '*.txt'.
IF not P_FILE CP xl. "P_FILE is name of file you will get.

Based on your issue, could you please share me a screen shot about the intellisense right click menu items are grayed out?
Generally, I know that it is default that we can enable the intellisense for C/C++ by going to the TOOLS->Options -> Text Editor -> C/C++ ->Advanced-> IntelliSense like the following screen shot.
So please try to check if you set Disable Intellisense property as False in the VS IDE.

a combination of DHTML and JavaScript.

using blue gray theme and a page with a rich text editor. Expanding the rich text options displays the text body p below the text area that persists even if you close the rich text options. Anybody know how to get rid of that behavior?
I think your mixing 2 technologies.
At 1 side you have xml in combination with xsl (style sheets used in BI Publisher and FOP) to generate your pdf. And at the other side you have HTML...
XML and HTML are 2 entirely different technologies which you can not mix this simple. I investigated the same problem as you had, and in the end I ended up using jasperreports instead of FOP.
Maybe BI Publisher has some html regions which you could insert into your word document but I doubt it cause more people have asked the same question on this board...
So my advice: use jasperreports (also it is free for commercial usage)

Text editor in Score module agonizingly clunky! Fix?
When creating scores from midi regions, the text editor drives me nuts when adding lyrics: The word/character positioning is different between text edit/create mode and what appears on the screen after editing, and different again between that and what appears in print preview mode or actual print-out. This is absolutely crazy-making when trying to line words/syllables up with their corresponding notations!
Also the cut & paste functions don't work as in any other text editor I've seen.
Also-also I can't get it to accept a new default font and size.
Suggestions? Dr. Kevorkian's phone number?

it looks like you have some problem with RFC. It stopped on the following line:
* Communication error in RFC-Call
message x628(ke) with 'RFC_ERROR' subrc msg_text.
Ask your basis guy to check it. The job on application server tried to connect to the central instance and it failed. The job run on central instance does not need to make any RFC call. Hence there is no problem in this case.
