70D changed sequence numbers from 6.. to 5...

Month old 70D was issuing sequnce numbers OK in August 31  in the 600 range but on September 2  (the next time I used the camera) the sequence numbers changed to 5000. I manually changed the date to October but the sequence numbers remained in the 5000 range so it probably had nothing to do with the month change. I did a menu RESET,  took a photo and it was just the next number (5102) so no help there. In both cases there is a number 100 and a dash preceding the sequence number. Any suggestions? Thanks
BTW the camera FILE NUMBERING setting is CONTINUOUS

Hello bob70D,
The most likely culprit with something like this is going to be the card.  It is very likely that the camera is reading an old file numbering scheme (could even be from another Canon EOS DSLR) and "picking up" where the numbers leave off.
To test this, and really to resolve this issue, you'd need to format the card.  Only do this in the camera and only once you've backed up your pictures.  First, set the camera's file numbering to Manual Reset and then Format.  It will bring everything back to 0001.  Then go back into the Menu and back to file numbering and choose Continuous this time.

  • How to read sequence numbers from RTP packets

    hi everyone.
    i want to know how to read sequence numbers of RTP packets. I will need that to reconstruct my stream from packet losses.
    URGENT Help needed!!

    The StreamTokenizer parses all numbers into only one type of value, a double. If you know that all the numeric values in the file will be integers, you could just cast the nval double field to an int and the toString() method will format it correctly.
    If you want to have different tokens and value types for different kinds of numbers, you will have to sub-class StreamTokenizer and add these capabilities yourself. You can add the type constant TT_INT, and provide an int field named ival. The toString() method would then format the value in the correct manner.
    If, on the other hand, you are actually looking for the exact text that was parsed, you could add code that collects the characters as they are parsed for any token type into the sval field in the nextToken() method, just like it already does when the token is a TT_WORD. In this manner sval is always valid for any token type.
    I hope you find this of some help.

  • Changing sequence settings from 29.97 to 23.98

    Back in February, we delivered a show that was shot in 720p 24 on multiple Varicams.
    It was all down-converted on capture for editing in a 29.98 sequence for DVD delivery.
    We now need to take the completed 29.98 sequence and convert it to 23.98 and batch capture everything again for HD delivery.
    How do I export and convert the 29.97 sequence and re-open it as a 23.98 project?

    All looks good to me. Choose 100%. The audio should be fine without modifications.

    TangellaHow do you define "the beginning rows in the table"? Rows in a relational, heap table have no "order" to them. There is no concept of "first".
    And once that is defined, why would you want to assign sequence number to only 10k our of "millions" of rows?

  • Assigning sequence numbers treo cords

    Please help to understand the following, because it's a little unclear for me.. can you provide me an example?
    So, regarding to assigning sequence numbers when a new record is created, we usually use a pre-insert trigger, with this code:
    SELECT orders_seq.NEXTVAL
    INTO :orders.order_id
    FROM SYS.dual;
    But:
    You can also assign sequence numbers from a table. If you use this method, two transactional
    triggers are usually involved:
    • Use Pre-Insert to select the next available number from the sequence table (locking the row
    to prevent other users from selecting the same value), assign it to the Forms item, and
    increment the value in the sequence table by the required amount.
    • Use Post-Insert to update the sequence table, recording the new upper value for the
    sequence.So how to assign a sequence number from a ... table?
    Thanks

    You have to implement the number generator yourself; something similar to this: http://asktom.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=100:11:0::::P11_QUESTION_ID:4343369880986

  • Finding missed sequence numbers and rows from a fact table

    Finding missed sequence numbers and rows from a fact table
    Hi
    I am working on an OLAP date cube with the following schema:
    As you can see there is a fact transaction with two dimensions called cardNumber and Sequence. Card dimension contains about three million card numbers.
    Sequence dimension contains a sequence number from 0 to 255. Fact transaction contains about 400 million transactions of those cards.
    Each transaction has a sequence number in 0 to 255 ranges. If sequence number of transactions of a card reaches to 255 the next transaction would get 0 as a sequence number.
    For example if a card has 1000 transactions then sequence numbers are as follows;
    Transaction 1 to transaction 256 with sequences from 0 to 255
    Transaction 257 to transaction 512 with sequences from 0 to 255
    Transaction 513 to transaction 768 with sequences from 0 to 255
    Transaction 769 to transaction 1000 with sequences from 0 to 231
    The problem is that:
    Sometimes there are several missed transactions. For example instead of sequence from 0 to 255, sequences are from 0 to 150 and then from 160 to 255. Here 10 transactions have been missed.
    How can I find all missed transactions of all cards with a MDX QUERY?
    I really appreciate for helps

    Thank you Liao
    I need to find missed numbers, In this scenario I want the query to tell the missed numbers are: 151,152,153,154,155,156,157,158,159
    Relative transactions are also missed, so I think it is impossible to get them by your MDX query
    Suppose this:
    date
    time
    sequence
    20140701
    23:22:00
    149
    20140701
    23:44:00
    150
    20140702
    8:30:00
    160
    20140702
    9:30:00
    161
    20140702
    11:30:00
    162
    20140702
    11:45:00
    163
    As you can see the sequence number of the last transaction at the 20140701 is 150
    We expecting that the first transaction of the next day should be 151 but it is 160. Those 10 transactions are totally missed and we just need to
    find missed sequence numbers

  • Sequence numbers not generated sequentially?

    Our situation: We have encountered an issue with our database, where it appears that a sequence has generated a number out of sequence, that is, to fill in a gap left previously. That is, in the affected table, we have records like:
    Seq No Date (DD/MM/YY)
    1 29/12/08
    2 29/12/08
    3 4/1/09
    4 29/12/08
    The code that actually updates the database is from a third party, so I am unable to prove the following, but the vendor assures me that:
    1. The sequence numbers are generated using "select message_number.nextval from dual".
    2. The Date column is not modified after the record is created. ( Nor is it supposed to be )
    The sequence is created by "CREATE SEQUENCE MESSAGE_NUMBER START WITH 10000000 INCREMENT BY 1 MINVALUE 10000000 CACHE 20 NOCYCLE NOORDER"
    This was detected only yesterday, after the event, and is very uncommon ( I have not found another instance, but there are over 7,000,000 records, so I haven't performed an exhaustive search). We are relying on the sequence numbers always being generated sequentially, as in each message_number.nextval is greater than the previous one.
    I don't think that the date change was due to a user accidentaly changing the date. Related records to '3' are also dated 4/1/09, there is no facility for a user to change the date outside of accessing the database directly, and even the developers do not have write access to this database.
    My questions:
    1. Is this normal behaviour for a sequence? To go back and fill in a gap like this? If so we'll have to change one of the assumptions of one of our modules.
    2. Should the sequence be defined with 'ORDER' rather than 'NOORDER' to stop this?
    3. Could this be a bug in the sequence number generation? We are using Oracle 9.2.0.1.0.
    4. Is this situation "impossible", and therefore there is a bug in the vendor library that we need to track down.
    Thanks for your help,

  • Change of LDB from PNP to PNPCE

    HI All,
       I have a HR program where LDB PNP is used. Now I need to change the LDB from PNP to PNPCE. Can any one please tell me what are the mandatory change I need to do in the program after changing the LDB.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Arnab

    Hi,
    Purpose
    The PNPCE logical database supports the evaluation of HR master data. It includes the functions of the PNP logical database and offers additional evaluation options. Therefore, you should use the PNPCE logical database instead of the PNP logical database for all new developments.
    The enhanced functionality of PNPCE in comparison to PNP essentially concerns the evaluation of Concurrent Employment, that is the possibility to group evaluate several assignments/personnel numbers of a person. The new events 'GET PERSON' and 'GET GROUP' as well as an enhanced syntax for the INFOTYPES statement (addition AS PERSON TABLE) for the procurement of infotype data enable you to use the new functionality. The use of these new functions is optional. You can run a PNPCE report that does not use the new events and the addition for the INFOTYPES statement in a PNP-compatible session. Since the PNPCE also has an improved selection screen, each report benefits from this even if the report does not use the functions for evaluating Concurrent Employment.
    Prerequisites
    A report that wants to use the PNPCE must enter this in its report attributes under Logical database.
    In addition, the PERNR structure must be declared in the report using the 'TABLES PERNR' statement. You can only use the PERNR structure again in certain circumstances. The use of the 'GET PERNR' event is therefore forbidden. Instead, use the 'GET PERAS' event. Except for the PERNR-PERNR component, all other components of the PERNR structure are no longer filled and have initial values. This kind of programming (with the exception of PERNR-PERNR) therefore not permitted.
    In addition to the 'GET PERAS' event, you can also use the GET PERSON' and 'GET GROUP' events. To be able to use these events, you must declare them using the NODES statement (NODES PERSON', 'NODES GROUP', or. NODES PERAS').
    Explanation of Terms
    If the 'GET PERSON' and 'GET GROUP events and the 'AS PERSON TABLE' addition for the INFOTYPES statement are not used, the report indicates that it does not require the functionality for evaluating Concurrent Employment. In this case, the report runs in a PNP-compatible session. This is referred to as PNP mode in the following documentation. On the other hand, if the report uses the functionality for evaluating Concurrent Employment we refer to CE mode.
    Features
    Process of an Evaluation
    The PNPCE selection screen offers you as standard a range of functions that you can use to restrict the personnel number and person selection. These are discussed in more detail in the following sections. The process is initially as follows regardless of whether the report runs in CE or PNP mode. All available functions and selection conditions leads to the selection of personnel numbers. If you use the sorting function, this set of personnel numbers is then sorted according to the sort criteria you selected. In PNP mode, the GET PERAS event is triggered as a result for each personnel number.
    In CE mode, the persons belonging to the personnel numbers are determined first for all personnel numbers selected. The GET PERSON event is then triggered for each person. The person ID is specified in the OBJID component of the PERSON structure. PERNR_NUM contains the total number of personnel assignments (= personnel numbers) that this person has and the ALL_PERNRS table, which contains a list of these personnel numbers regardless of whether they were actually selected or not. The SELECTED flag is set to X for the personnel numbers selected. The flag is initial for all personnel numbers that are not selected. The PROCESS flag specifies whether the personnel number should be processed in the rest of the process. This flag is set to X by default for the personnel numbers selected. However, the report can set or delete this flag at the GET PERSON event for all personnel numbers. In this way, report and logical database communicate with each other which enables the report to control the rest of the process.
    In the next step, the logical database groups all personnel numbers of a person that are to be processed (that is, all personnel numbers that have the PROCESS flag set). The report can control the type of grouping using the PNPCE_GROUPING_FROM_PAYROLL flag (normal or payroll grouping) and using the PNPGPRSN (grouping reason) and PNPGPVAL (grouping value) parameters of the selection screen. The GET GROUP event is triggered for each group of personnel numbers determined. The GROUPING_REASON and GROUPING_VALUE components contain the grouping reason and grouping value of this group. The number of personnel numbers that belong to this group and that are processed subsequently is in PERNR_NUM. The included ALL_PERNR table contains a list of these personnel numbers with additional information. The SELECTED flag specifies whether the current personnel number was originally selected (flag is set) or was marked by the report as to be processed. GROUPING_BEGDA and GROUPING_ENDDA contain the validity period that the personnel number has for this grouping. The NO_AUTHORITY flag is set if there is insufficient authorization for a personnel number. This personnel number is not processed further. The SORT component defines a standard sort order for the personnel numbers of a group. The report can change this by overwriting the values. In this way, report and logical database communicate with each other, which controls the further processing sequence of the personnel numbers.
    The GET PERAS event is then triggered for all personnel numbers of the group (with the exception of the personnel numbers for which no authorization exists) in the sequence defined by the SORT component (see above). The SELECTED, GROUPING_BEGDA, and GROUPING_ENDDA components have the same meaning here as with the GET GROUP event. The PROCESSED_BEFORE flag specifies whether the personnel number has already been processed once before (it is possible that the personnel number belongs to several groupings and has been therefore been processed several times).
    Thanks and Regards
    Ravi

  • Reading or changing sequence number in TCP packets

    I don't know wether this is feasible,But you're my last chance to figure out something else.Can i read the sequence number that comes inside the TCP header in the incomming packets?This sound illogical but since there is a method for getting the IP of the sender(And that IP exits in the IP header Network layer i),then the sequence number (TCP header inside the Transport layer)must exits in the packet.Can i read it?
    -And an even more illogical question? can i change that sequence number or the acknowlege number to form a new packet ? Its like converting a packet to and from a packet object to a string of bits ?
    I know excatly where the sequence and acknowledge numbers are located (after how many bits) inside the TCP header?

  • Temporary sequence numbers

    Hello all,
    Is there any provision in the mobile server and mobile client to synchronize the Lite database by using temporary sequence numbers for the newly added records?
    In the application that we are involved with, we are being asked to provide this behavior.
    In details we would ensure that the sequence generation works as it works for the desktop PCs as well.
    As far as we know we should follow the following steps for the synchronization:
    1. sync new rows with the server
    1a. the server syncs with the database, replaces temporary seqnos with the ones that come from the database
    2. sync the new seqnos back to the mobile device...
    Please let me know whether it is possible or not with the Oracle Lite system,
    Thanks in advance,
    Balazs

    do you have some need to keep the range of DONOR_ID sequential?
    In our implementation we use the other method that Greg has mentioned, defining sequences within the oracle lite publication itself
    We use sequence generated ID values as the primary key on a lot of our tables, and the columns are defined as NUMBER(12) (reasons are historical, and not necessarly for any good reason - but stuck with it)
    looking at the worst case scenario (to keep things simple) in the server we have table PLOTS. The highest ID value is around 5.5 million, with an annual growth rate of 500,000 for server created records. The number of records that would be created on any particular client on an annual basis is more like 2,000.
    When you define a sequence within the mobile server you specify a 'template' for each sequence consisting of
    name (eg: PLO_ID_SEQ)
    start value
    increment
    window (number of values to assign to a particular user)
    threshold (point at which the next set of values is sent to the user)
    for PLO_ID_SEQ, the start value is set at 500 million (overkill, but server generated id values will never reach this point in practice), increment is 1, window = 100,000 and threshold is 95,000
    This in practical terms means that the sequences on the clients will never need to be re-sent as the values will never reach the threshold, and there will never be any cross over with server generated sequences
    When you add your first client to the application, the actual sequence start value will be set for that client as 500,000,000. for the second user added it will be 500,100,000, for the third 500,200,000 etc.
    On the whole the mobile server manages this ok, but we have found that if there is a need to replace a client by rebuilding the database from scratch, occasionally it does not correctly maintain the last value used. To get around this we reset the user prior to the rebuild (this resets the sequence start for that user to the next range of values)
    This works ok, and is straightforward to implement as you need no code change/data manipulation on the server, but does result in the source of the records being obviously different (can be useful), and you cannot assume that the highest id value is the most recent record (can be a problem for reports)

  • Getting a Sequence back from an S-P with typed DataSet problem

    Hi,
    I know there are loads of topics about sequences on this forum, but I can't seem to find this exact issue amongst them.
    As a learning exercise, I've created a typed dataset based on the HR sample database tables Departments and Employees (through the use of the hack to get an OracleDataAdapter to generate typed datasets).
    I currently have a problem with retrieving the new sequence value from the 'Insert_Department' stored procedure I've written, and the best thing I can figure is that there is a clash occurring between the type and size of the sequence and the size of the department_id column (number(4) - which maps in .Net to an int16).
    The exception I get on running the dataAdapter.Update() method is:
    Unable to cast object of type 'Oracle.DataAccess.Types.OracleDecimal' to type 'System.IConvertible'. Couldn't store <330> in DEPARTMENT_ID Column. Expected type is Int16
    The record does get inserted into the database ok - therefore I infer that this is a problem with the handling of the return value back to the DepartmentsDataSet column.
    My stored procedure is as follows:
    PROCEDURE "INSERT_DEPARTMENT" (
    "NEW_DEPARTMENT_ID" OUT DEPARTMENTS.DEPARTMENT_ID%TYPE,
    "NEW_DEPARTMENT_NAME" IN VARCHAR2,
    "NEW_MANAGER_ID" IN NUMBER,
    "NEW_LOCATION_ID" IN NUMBER) IS
    BEGIN
    INSERT INTO DEPARTMENTS(DEPARTMENT_ID, DEPARTMENT_NAME, MANAGER_ID, LOCATION_ID)
    VALUES (DEPARTMENTS_SEQ.NEXTVAL, NEW_DEPARTMENT_NAME, NEW_MANAGER_ID, NEW_LOCATION_ID);
    SELECT DEPARTMENTS_SEQ.CURRVAL INTO NEW_DEPARTMENT_ID
    FROM DUAL;
    END "INSERT_DEPARTMENT";
    I've tried lots of different things here; I started declaring the parameter as a NUMBER, now it's set to a %TYPE on the column as you can see... and I've also tried assigning the NEXTVAL to a NUMBER(4) local variable before assigning it to the OUT parameter.
    Here's the C# that configures the insert command:
    // Insert - note that department_id param is an output param
    OracleCommand insert = new OracleCommand("odp_hr_dal.insert_department", connection);
    insert.CommandType = CommandType.StoredProcedure;
    insert.Parameters.Add(new OracleParameter("new_department_id", OracleDbType.Int16, 2, "department_id"));
    insert.Parameters["new_department_id"].Direction = ParameterDirection.Output;
    insert.Parameters.Add(new OracleParameter("new_department_name", OracleDbType.Varchar2, 30, "department_name"));
    insert.Parameters.Add(new OracleParameter("new_manager_id", OracleDbType.Int32, 4, "manager_id"));
    insert.Parameters.Add(new OracleParameter("new_location_id", OracleDbType.Int32, 4, "location_id"));
    deptDataAdapter.InsertCommand = insert;
    The key line is the adding of the "new_department_id" line where I have tried many different types in the vain hope that I can somehow override the conversion process to not think it needs to go as large as a Decimal type.
    I wonder if anyone could help point me towards the (probably obvious) thing that I am missing? I've run out of ideas on things to try!

    Thank you muylaerk,
    That did work.
    However, this and the related link you posted raise a question: Given that (in the case of Decimal types) whichever of the DbType or OracleDbType property you set, the other value is set to Decimal also... what setting in the OracleParameter records which was the 'set' property, and therefore, which type will the Value be set to?
    In other words, does anything visibly change in the debugger view of the OracleParameter type to see this?
