  • Account does not get locked in all Repositories

    Hello all,
i have have a strange behavior in an IDM 7.2 SP9 system. When i check the 'Account is disabled' box in standard UI task 'Change Identity' the user is only locked in one ABAP system, in all other ABAP systems it keeps unlocked. Other tasks such as role provisioning are working for all repositories. There are no pending tasks in the provisioning queue.
I already reimported the provisioning framework, without success.
Can anyone help me to find a solution for this?
    Regards
    Christian

    Hello Tero,
There is no error in the Job Log, the jobs are executed without error, but only for two of five repositories. I thought it could maybe depend on the user, but also with a newly created one i have the same behavior.
It seems as if the IDM does not recognize all repositories the user is existing in. The user has the ACCOUNT<REPOSITORY> Attribute set for all five repositories.
I have checked all tasks on all repositories, they seem to be correct.
Also with changes for telephone, room, ... are not provisioned all repositories. Privileges are provisioned correct.
So the question is what is the trigger for the execution of the provisioning on a repository?

  • Telephone extensions not working after Openreach u...

My 91 year old mother's phone has not been working for three and a half weeks while lines in her neighbourhood were upgraded to support broadband.
The good news is that an Openreach engineer has now fixed her master socket and one phone in her house is now working.
The bad news is that the handsets on two extension sockets stopped working, when the master socket was fixed.
The Openreach engineer told my mother that the handsets attached to the extensions were old and should not be used and need to be replaced. That may well be true, but I brought one handset home and it works fine plugged into an extension at our own house - we use BT Infinity with one master socket (for the broadband router) and three extension sockets (with ordinary handsets)
The two extension sockets in my mother's house seem to be dead. (If you plug a normal handset into them nothing happens). It looks to me as if it's not the equipment that is the problem, but the sockets, which, as far as I can tell, appear to have been disconnected.
From what I can see, the telephone line comes into an (old) junction box in the house. One (new) line then goes down to the (working) master socket, and another (old) line goes directly from the junction box to the (not working) extension sockets.
My question is: who is responsibile for fixing this mess? I understand that the homeowner is responsible for the equipment and internal telephone wiring in their house, but I don't want to meddle with the wiring and sockets myself. Also, my mother (like many elderly people) has an emergency red button machine (supplied by the local authority) connected to the main phone in her house. Fortunately that now seems to be working, but I don't want to do anything that could affect the red button machine or stop the main phone working again.
We don't necessarily want to replace the system back to exactly what it was before, but my mother would like at least one extra phone in the house. The main phone is in the living room. She is hard of hearing and can't hear the phone ringing when she is in her bedroom. She doesn't like using a handsfree phone - she fiinds it much easier just to lift the handset to get dialling tone, and replace the handset when she has finished - as you could in the good old days! So an extension socket and handset in (or near) the bedroom seems to be the ideal solution, if only we could get the extension sockets working again!
My mother does not want broadband. She just wants her ordinary landline to work and to be able to plug an extra handset into an extension socket.
    Can anyone help please?

  • Can i set up a wired connection in another room?

    Hello BT community forums
I am a BT customer using the BT homehub 2.0 connected to my main phone line.
My question is: Downstairs I have the typical setup with my computer for wireless to my sons bedroom in the newly built extentions but the wireless connection is poor and disconnects often. This extentions bedroom has a phoneline in aswell with a fully working BT homephone, would I be able to set up a wired connection to the computer in the extention bedroom using this phoneline so we can have a wired connection to my sons computer?
If any other information is required please ask and I will provide.
Thank you for any help and advice provided.

No you can't use the phone line to provide an Ethernet connection to your Son's computer. Also, you can't have two Routers on the same Telephone Line. Some options are:
Move the BT HH to a position nearer your Son's room
Use a pair of Powerline Ethernet adapters to provide Ethernet connection ove your Mains wiring
Run an Ethernet Cat5 cable from the Router to your Son's room
Set up a Wireless "repeater" using WDS http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wireless_Distribution_System
Is there a good reason why the Wireless performance is so poor? How far is the computer from the Router and how many/ what construction are the intervening walls?
Is it possible that there is another Wireless signal interfering with yours? Have you tried changing Wireless Channel?

  • Analisis of voices in a particular room

    Hi Guys.
I'm not the best with audio editing software, and with that in mind I would like to pose two questions:
1: How does one prove that two speakers are speaking in the same room (And also discount that say one voice is not a telephone on loudspeaker function)
2: How does one "Fingerprint" a voice in order to match that voice against another recording?
I sure would like some help here because as you have probably guessed by now, I'm not having the most entertaining part of my life.
Help would be very much appreciated.

Okay.  I know there are people on this forum who actually have experience at forensic audio so hopefully one of them may pop in.  However, since you haven't had any replies yet, let me at least try to give you some pointers that occur to me as a person experienced with audio but not the sort of thing you want to do.
First, let me say that, despite what you see them do on NCIS, there aren't any quick, easy, automatic ways to do this.  It'll depend on you using the tools available to you and interpreting what you see.
In terms of seeing if they're in the same room, I'd be looking at the background noises, probably in spectral view.  With a bit of luck you should be able to spot a "standard" background noise (ventilation, outside traffic, just general echo) and see if it's the same on both voices.  If the track is edited, there's a very good chance you'd see changes every time an edit happens.  A good audio editor would try adding a continuous "atmosphere" track over both voices but you should still be able to see minute changes at any edit point.
For the question of a speaker phone, phone lines only reproduce sounds between (roughly, depending where you are in the world) 300Hz and 3300Hz.   If you check a voice and find frequencies outside this range  then it's a darn good chance it was NOT a phone line.  Again, you can check this in spectral view--or with Audition's frequency display.
The "fingerprint" thing would be much more difficult.  I'd be looking to find distinctive words common to both recording and compare the waveforms (zoomed in quite a lot).  However, this is going to take a lot of interpretation since different microphones, different distances from the mic and even different rooms will also be changing the way the waveform looks.
Good luck with whatever is going on.
Edited to Add:  Let me say that SteveG is on of the experienced guys I was mentioning and he posted while I was typing.  He makes the same point I did about being able to deliberately fake the room noise.  It's sort of a case of it's relatively easy to prove it HAS been edited but much harder to prove it hasn't.

As of 03/17/2015 NBME has resolved the VCDAssistant issue with the current Secure Browser offered, Yosemite is now compatible for taking online tests.
Other installs can block exam access though, Citrix Receiver being one of them.
To temporarily remove Citrix, follow these steps:
    1. Open Terminal (command+spacebar, start typing terminal)
    2. Enter this command string:
              sudo mv /Library/LaunchAgents/com.citrix.ServiceRecords.plist /Library/LaunchAgents/com.citrix.ServiceRecords.oldlist
    3. Enter the Mac admin password
    4. Reboot machine
    5. After machine has rebooted, launch browser, and then navigate to Secure Browser page. Download Secure Browser and launch exam. Browser should now run as intended and allow exam to launch.
    6. After completing the exam, open Terminal again and enter this command string:
              sudo mv /Library/LaunchAgents/com.citrix.ServiceRecords.oldlist /Library/LaunchAgents/com.citrix.ServiceRecords.plist
    7. Machine will load citrix again on next reboot

  • Adding 7921 phones in CCM 4.1.3sr2

We have just received a demo 7921g phone and I want to add it into call manager, however my current version does not have 7921 telephones ad an available phone type. Does anyone know what the procedure would be to add 7921g phones in my version? Is it as simple as running cmterm-7921-sccp.1-0-2.exe?

    Hi Joe,
    Just to be clear, we are talking about two requirements here. You need to install the Device Package (see readme) to add support for the 7921 in CCM. Here is a clip of the install notes;
Perform the following procedure to install Cisco Unified CallManager Device Package X.X.exe:
    1. Download the ciscocm-4-1-DevPack-X.X.exe file to your hard drive. Make a note of the location where you saved the file.
    2. Double-click on the downloaded file to begin the installation.
    3. Click Yes when the installation process displays a message that asks if you want to install this Device Package.
    4. The remainder of the installation process continues without any additional user input.
    5. Towards the end of the install it will prompt you "Update ALL devices firmware defaults?", (IMPORTANT) If you click "yes", it will change the default firmware load for all devices to the latest load packaged with this device pack, click "no" if you want to change the loads manually yourself later.
Note: In order to change the loads manually, you do NOT need to reinstall this Device Package. The new files will be present in the C:\Program Files\Cisco\TFTPPath folder. Go to CCMAdmin->System->Device Defaults and manually change the name of the load file (for specific device(s)) to the new load and click UPDATE. Next, reset the affected devices for them to upgrade to the new load.
The system will ask you if you want to view the logfile when the installation is complete.
    6. Verify that the installation completed successfully by taking the following actions:
    a. When the system prompts you to view the log file, if the number of errors listed in the dialog is "0", you can select No.
    b. If the number of errors detected was greater than 0, select Yes to view the logfile and scroll down to the end of the log file. The errors section at the bottom of the log file will be updated with a corresponding severity.
    c. Reset affected devices in order for them to obtain new firmware loads, or reboot the cluster.
Note: If the TFTP server is a separate server from the Publisher, the Cisco TFTP service needs to be stopped and restarted on the TFTP server before performing this step, unless the cluster (including the TFTP server) is being rebooted.
    From this doc;
    http://ftp-sj.cisco.com/cisco/crypto/3DES/voice/callmgr/4.1/ciscocm.4-1-DevPack-43_readme.htm
With the install of the devpak Step # 5 is very important. You probably don't want to change all of your existing phones firmware so be careful to answer NO if you don't want all models (7940/7960/7941/7961 etc) to have their default load updated.
After the devpak has been installed you can do a separate Firmware upgrade on the 7921G.
    Hope this helps!

  • Breakout Room Audio Using Integrated Telephony Adapter PGI/

    Hello -
Hopefully this hasn't been covered - I didn't find anything in my search.
Using Adobe Connect 8, I am operating with the PGI integrated telephony adapter (not universal voice).  This allows me to have learners join through VOIP or by having the meeting call their phone and keeping them 'integrated'.
All had been working well until I started doing breakout rooms.  From my research, when I put people into breakout rooms they are supposed to join PGI supported mini audio conferences.  Unfortunately that is not happening, and I am getting the prompt below. I started fiddling around in the compliance settings etc. but was not able to get it working.  Basically when I put learners into a breakout room they get kicked out of the audio conference with the only option being to join by phone.  Then when I bring them back into the main room they have to rejoin the audio conference.  Quite the clunky process with large numbers of virtual learners - anybody have any experience with this that can comment?  I thank you in advance.

    I found this thread:
    http://www.connectusers.com/forums/cucbb/viewtopic.php?id=4863
With this post at the end (below) - can anybody confirm this?  To have individual breakout room audio functioning you must be all voip or all telephone?
To use the broadcast audio (from voip to teleconference audio) feature in a main room requires that Universal Voice is activated for the integrated audio adapter (PGI, Intercall and Meeting1).
When you have both VOIP and teleconference users in a main room in this above manner, you cannot then use breakouts with VOIP.... breakout rooms need to be all telephone or all voip.

  • How do I connect the router to my printer if they are in separate rooms?

I have an Arris (comcast) modem supplyng data/tv/telephone where I feed a D-Link router (DIR-615) for my wireless network. I have three Macs and a Canon MX860 located in another room from the physical modem connection. The Macs often lose the printer and sometimes the internet. Is there a better way to ensure printer network connection short of physicaly attaching to the router? Lose the D-Link and get an Airport Express or Extreme? (But I still would not be able to physically attach the printer to the router).

It sounds like all of your wireless clients (computers & printer) are having issues with the overall signal quality of your Wi-Fi network.
I suggest that you check out the following Apple Support article on the sources of Wi-Fi interference and try to identify & eliminate as many as possible to improve your wireless network.
You may also find the following Macworld article helpful on troubleshooting for Wi-Fi interference. Although this article is specific to the AirPort routers, it can equally apply to any manufacturers' product.

  • AirPort Extreme Base Station and Plugging in a telephone?

Hi all I currently have a Netgear Wireless Router & Phone Adapter WGR613VAL ,Im not happy with the coverage or speed. I have my telephone connected into the back of the Netgear ( Standard US Phone Jack ) . I see that this AirPort Extreme only has ethernet , whats my solution? Can you buy VOIP Phones with Ethernet connections? If so will I be able to put my carriers settings/SIP onto the AirPort or will / can I still need to use the Netgear just for my phone?

Welcome to the discussion area, apsimg!
+will there be any network degradation if I set it to further extend my wireless network given that they are so close?+
It's not a good idea to have two routers within 6 feet of each other both providing a wireless signal due to possible interference issues. Even if you find that the two devices do not interfere with each other, there's really nothing to be gained in terms of signal strength by having them both broadcast the wireless network.
If the Time Capsule were in the next room or down the hall, then it might make sense to set it up to provide for greater wireless coverage. If you have the Time Capsule connected to the AirPort Extreme using ethernet and you want more wireless coverage, you would not set it up to "extend", as this is only used if the devices are connecting using wireless only.
Connecting with ethernet, you would setup the Time Capsule to "create a wireless network" using the same network name, security and password and configure the device as a "bridge".

  • Telephone line Extensions over Ethernet via SPA112 ?

I saw a recommendation elsewhere and on this forum suggesting the SPA112 coul be used to extend phone lines (same number) to other rooms over ethernet.
Here is what I want to do:
I have exsiting IP based phone service provided by a company called Talkit (Canada). Talkit provided at Grandstream Handytone 286 ATA and I connected a cordless Nortel analog phone to it. Works ok.
Now I want to put an extension of the same phone number into another room. I purchased two SPA112s to try to do this. I have established ethernet connectivity and I can see and configure both units.
I connetced one unit to the phone line that runs from the Handytone ATA to my analog phone to one SPA112 and a second old analog phone in the second room to the second SPA112.
I made the following config changes:
I upagraded the FW to the latest version on both SPA112 units.
    I set
    Register to No
    Use OB proxy to No
Make calls wo reg to Yes
Ans call w/o reg to Yes.
I was able ot get a dial tone on the second phone but when I dialed out to my cell phone I geta busy signal.
Another issue is that the SPA112 connected to the Handytone ATA seems to stay OFF Hook.
Please advise... or point to a document where I can read about how to set these up.
I am assuming that I do not need to register the spa112s to my service provider proxy bu that rather that two spa112s will simply pass the incoming and outgoing calls thru.
    John

    John,
Both the Grandstream Handytone and the SPA112 are what are called "ATA" devices. "ATA" stands for Analogue Terminal (or in some literature, Telephone) Adapter. That's to say that an ATA device converts from an IP-based voice connection to an analogue voice connection.
The port that you connect your cordless phone to on the Grandstream ATA is, technically, referred to as an FXS port. An FXS port provides dial tone and battery voltage on an analogue line. The compliment to an FXS port, is an FXO port, which expects to have dial tone and battery voltage provided to it. Both the Handytone and the SPA112 have only FXS ports, so they all provide dial tone and battery, and thus are not compatible to be connected directly together.
You would need a device (such as the previously mentioned SPA3102) which features an FXO port on one end of the ethernet connection, and one of your SPA112 ATA's on the other end of the ethernet connection.
If I'm understanding what it is you're trying to accomplish correctly (and I believe I do), there are a couple suggestions I would make.
First off, you can contact TalkIt, and explain that you wish to configure your own ATA device with their service, in addition to the one they provided you. They would need to provide you the SIP proxy and credential information for your phone accounts with them. You would then need to program that information into the SPA112 that is in the second room. As long as that SPA112 can get internet connectivity, it should be able to register with their call server, and you should be able to make and receive calls at the same number as the Handytone ATA, providing TalkIt will allow multiple registrations to the same account.
Secondly, you can contact TalkIt, and explain that you wish to have them provide you an additional ATA configured with the same users / phone numbers as your current unit. Some providers are less prone to provide you with the information required to configure your own device, but they may be open to you purchasing / renting an additional unit that they provide, and configuring it in such a way that it shares the same number as the original ATA device they provided you with.
Thirdly, you can purchase a SIP Gateway device, such as the SPA3102, which would provide an FXO port which you could connect to the FXS port of the Handytone ATA device, and then configure one of your SPA112's to make an IP connection to the SPA3102, and connect an analogue line to that SPA112.
If you're not overly familliar with IP Telephony, I'd probably recommend getting a second ATA from TalkIt, as it would come preconfigured, and you would only have to plug it in for it to work. If they're willing to provide you with the SIP information, you may be able to configure one of the SPA112's that you already have, and just use that to connect to their service. This would probably be the least expensive option, but would require you to perform the configuration of the additional ATA device yourself. The third option, which most closely resembles your initial request, would not involve TalkIt, however it would involve purchasing the additional SIP Gateway device, as well as perform all of the configuration yourself. I, personally, have not configured a SIP Gateway device before, so I don't know exactly how involved that configuration is. Configuring the SPA112 shouldn't be too bad, but again, I've never configured it in exactly the way you're describing, so I can't say for sure. I've only ever used them to connect to a full IP PBX, or else a Hosted service, similar to the TalkIT provided Handytone unit.
Hope this provides a little direction, and wasn't too confusing.
    Randy

  • Telephone socket suddenly gone dead

    Hello,
Yesterday while trying to fix my wireless printer the instruction to restart the router seems to have caused my telephone socket to die.
All I did was restart and now my BT homehub flashes orange at that point and the point which extends from it.
The other socket works fine but it's not ideal because of location.
I have a junction box by the front door which splits off into 2 sockets. One in the hall and one in the living room. The living room also feeds the socket by the back door in the dining room. Both these 2 sockets have died all of a sudden and I just wonder why.
Also, the currently working socket is a nte5 socket so I assume it's the master whereas the other 2 are non-nte5. But the preferred plug is 1.3mb(when it works) and the hallway nte5 only gets 1mb.
I spoke to BT and they said I'll have to pay someone to come and fix it because it's an internal wiring problem.
I was just wondering why this problem has suddenly occurred just by restarting the router and if anyone has had this happen and/or knows how to fix it.
    Thanks!

if the incoming wire goes to the junction box and then that feeds the master NTE5 and also 2 extension sockets that is star wired and not good for your broadband
if the master NTE5 works then there must be a problem either in the junction box or in wiring from junction box to the extension.  The junction box is beofe master and therefore property openreach
your extension sockets should be wired to the back of the NTE5 master socket
if you get an engineer then you probably will get charged £129.99 for callout

  • Worth replacing my telephone cabling with Cat5?

I shall soon be having Infinity installed in my home office to replace ADSL. My office is in a detached building and I have a 20 metre run of bog standard telephone cable from where the BT cable enters my house to the master socket in my office. Am I likely to see any speed benefit by replacing this with Cat5e cable? My house is approximately 300 metres from the fibre cabinet.
    Thanks

    Hi Disco
As pippincp mentioned, for the network side of things it's best to go for CAT6 to future proof your network. For your office network you can ask the BT engineer to install the new master socket as the service enters the house. That way you will get the best possible VDSL signal. The modem should be sited there. The HH3 could be sited there also or in your office connected via the CAT6.
Yes, you could also use CAT5/6 for the telephone connection to your office. I wanted to standardise comms in my house so I installed CAT5 for the phone to another room in the house. I already had the cat5 wired up for the phone extension. The BT engineer installing my infinity was very helpful and wired the CAT5 directly into the backplate (user) connection side.

  • Telephone connection Openreach Fibre to Home Modem

I have a fibre to home Modem which at present my Telephone is connected to the Tel 1 socket. The engineer that fitted this also fitted and extension socket on the other side of the room and the cable extends back to the Openreach Tel 1 socket. He said that instead of plugging my phone direct into the Modem I could plug the extension cable directly into the Tel 1 socket instead and use the extension socket on the other side of the room by plugging my phone in to this.
On trying this the phone will not dial out correctly and I get the message "the number you have dialled has not been recognised" (In that annoying voice )
Do I need an ADSL filter fitted to thie extension socket or is there some thing more fundementally wrong. The socket fitted is a single telephone socket and does not have an isolation port for Broadband.
    Many thanks in anticipation

You need to report it as a fault on 151 you should not need a filter and also would not have a broadband port as there would be no infinity connection on the extension

  • Telephone Extension cable and BT Infinity

Simple questions I know but I want to get it right!
I have upgraded to BT Infinity - so far so good, no problems with it so far.  At the same the engineer installed a new master socket having re-routed from outside the house from the original wiring without having to use the data extension.  I have also bought new telephones, the problem is the master BT Infinity socket is right by the broadband modem, openreach box, computer, printer, television, vision box - so as you can imagine lots of electrical things going on.
So far I can only move the telephone about a metre from all of these.  I am experiencing noise on the telephone (crackling etc although not so bad that I cannot hear people) .  The manual does state not to place near these items.
So finally to the questions  (1)  Can I use a"normal" telephone extension kit to move it away from all this interference and (2) does anyone think the problem maybe with the master socket rather than the telephone?  There is no ADSL filter fitted like before.
I hope I have made myself clear, sorry if I haven't

As the master is split between Infinity and Phone there should be no problem in running an extension from the phone part of the socket.
    Thank you for your response.
I have now installed a 5 mtr extension, which takes the telephone away from all the equipment (this is as far as I can go in the room).  However, it does not appear to make any difference to the crackling/hissing and it sounds as if I am talking in a empty room long distance!.
I did read somewhere that there is no need to use a filter on Infinity, however, just because I had one! I tried putting one on but it made no difference.
I put the old telephone back on - originally no problem with this - now getting crackling/hissing etc on this telephone.
So is it the new socket or moving the outside line?
I am going to contact the telephone manufacturer in case they have come across this problem - the telephone was only launched just over a month ago.
If there is anyone that can advise where I go from here I would be very grateful.
    Many thanks for help

    Hi there,
From a wired phone dial 17070 and select option 2 "Quiet line test".
If you are getting noise or can hear crackles, etc then first off remove the extension you plugged in and retry.
If you're still getting crackles, etc without the extension, then give BT a call and report it as a voice fault. Do not mention anything about broadband or Infinity, just let them deal with the fault and any other line related issues should get fixed at the same time.
    I hope this info helps.
