9.0.2 page group import fails

I'm trying to import a complete pagegroup, but the import fails , when i run the script to import the dmp file into the database. The log shows the following error. I dont know where i can correct this. The export went OK.

Page group deletion failed, and now it posts with no links

A page group needed to be deleted because the template it was based on is corrupted. Now the page group shows with no links at all. It can't be viewed, edited, NOTHING!. How can I get that page group truly deleted, even if it is manually, so that I can proceed to a clean import of a backed up page group before the template was messed up?

This looks like Bug 2034579, which is an internal bug but basically documents the same thing. I've tried to reproduce this in 9.0.2.2 and it doesn't.
Please raise a service request with Oracle Support who should be able to assist you with the correct course of action.

Page group export failes with error

When i try to export a pagee group, it fails with the following error:
[22-SEP-08 11:43:30][Error: (WWU-74554)] context = wwutl_api_export_provider.start_export user = ORCLADMIN An unexpected error has occurred, which has caused the entire provider export to be rolled back.

I just tried this on a 9.0.2.2.14 version and was able to add, delete, and add again witout an error. It is possible that there was some kind of error during the delete which caused a row in the DB to remain. Unfortunately, there is no way to be sure without delving into the tables and looking for the 'deleted' page group. Not recommended unless absolutely critical. Given that the display name is what is typically shown in most screens, is it reasonable for you to name the new one X1 with a display name of X? If so, that's the safest bet.

How to Export/Import a Page Group?

Hi All,
I'm having problems to export a page group from a dev server to a production server. What I had done with succesfull:
- I created the transport set table in dev server by clicking on Export link under page group;
- I executed the script and generated the dump file without warnings;
- I executed the import script in the production server without warnings;
When I will Import the transport table to my production server via Oracle Portal Interface, the status of the page group is Fail. Why?
I created the user groups before, that are the same of the dev instance.
Note: In my production instance there is no page group. It is my first export/import of this page group.
What steps I need to do? Am I do anything wrong?

Importing page group in linux

Hi all,
As part of importing portal page group I am facing a problem when executing the .csh script.
I got the result as :
'nknown option: `-
Usage: csh [ -bcdefilmnqstvVxX ] [ argument ... ].
The command I executed from linux OS is:
./asport28.csh -mode import -s portal -p B6M1Idr4 -pu orcladmin -pp infmgr1 -c iasdb1 -d asport28_1.dmp
The command is not executing further.
I have successfully exported from windows 2000 and imported in windows 2000 OS. now I am trying for production server which is in LINUX. I need to import the pages into this linux server.
Note: I export the data using .bat file.
Can anybody advice me where i did the mistake or the way to follow. URGENT

Did you saved the script in Linux machine or you saved the script in Win server and then is trying to execute it in Linux?
I had the same problem, but when I saved the script in Linux server it executed succesfully.

You are hitting bug 2216935 for pronto import. Specifically, one of the provider's information is not being handled internally which causes the pronto section of import to fail. This will be addressed in the next release. If there aren't too many pronto features, you can turn of this functionality at the page group level and re-export and re-import the page group. On the target you can then rewire the pronto features. Also, since the page group gets imported in this case - you can edit the pronto functionality on the imported page group and identify/fix the corrupted one manually.

Error recreating page groups

Hello all,
We created a few page groups for testing import of page groups and the deleted them coz it failed. But when we tried to recreate the same page group, it says "Page Group name should be unique". How can we delete the page group completely from the system?? Or is there any other method to recreate the page group?

Copying page from one page group to another

I need to copy one page or multiple from one page group DEV to page group TEST. I thought of using Portal Export/Import feature for the same, but it will ask for same page group at import.
Requirement is to keep one set of page group for DEV stage, when it got completed move it to TEST page group in same instance.
How we can achieve this functionality using single portal instance?

The message I receive when I click on the Copy link on the Navigator is:
Click "Copy Here" next to the page under which you want to create a copy of your page. Click the link next to the page group to create the copy under the root page of the page group. You can create a copy of a page only under a page in the same page group as the original page.
And it only displays the current page group with a tree structure of all the pages in the current page group (page group name being the root).
Please help me on this as I have a similar requirement and am using 10.1.2 version of Oracle Portal.

In my Import format, I have fields Account, ICP, entitity and Amount and use the delimiter format to parse the fields. As the source file contains BegBalance and the 12 time periods, I need to do some VB scripting to bring in the correct amount depending on POV Period.
However, when i try specifying a script in the Expression column of the Import Format and run the import, get a error: Import Failed. On the other hand, when i specify a field number in the Import Format and run an import, it works fine.
Any ideas why this happens?

Import failed error in NWDI SAP_PSS

Hi Experts,
I have a problem in NWDI which is I created once DC in SAP_PSS component and during the development we had a problem in desktop and lost complete data in local machine. By that time my activity is released but ! that results broken DC.
Now I am unable to transport this PSS component across the landscape and it is lieing in Consolidation area as import failed.
My doubt is , If i create a same componet in NWDS under PSS with same activity name, Can i push it without errors ?

Hi Jyothi,
Check the buildspace properties for 'NWD_TXSSSP18_C' in CBS buildspace page(Go to NWDI main page http://<host>:<port>/devinf and click on Component Build Service). The buildspace in question should be Active, Input Mode is should be 'Open' and Request Processing Mode 'ON'. If these properties are not set properly, go to Edit and change these properties and start build process again.

PDEXGroup to set the Page Group ColorSpace

I'm currently trying to add an Image into a PDF (that's the only content) but as I read on previous threads I'm trying to get a correct rendering when there is an alpha (channel/mask) in my image.
To do so I first create an Image (PDEImageCreate) then I create the Alpha mask and apply it to the first image (using PDEImageSetSMask).
The problem is now my image is too dark in "Acrobat Reader" and is correct in Evince. So I guess my problem is Acrobat try to blend in CMYK but my source image is in RGB.
But I don't really understand how I should/could specify that ? I tried in the Resources of the Page, and then I tried the PDEXGroup, but how can I add my XObject to the PDEXGroup ?
Am I on the wrong track trying to set the Page ColorSpace ?

My main question here is how do I get access to this "group P" ?
Because I didn't found how, I searched "how to specify a blending" which leads me to paragrap 11.6.3
11.6.3    Specifying Blending Colour Space and Blend Mode The blending colour space shall be an attribute of the transparency group within which an object is painted; its specification is described in 11.6.6, "Transparency Group XObjects."
Ok so how to define a Transparency group is in 11.6.6 (still my original question)
Summarized : a transparency group is a specialized form XObject with a Group entry in its dictionnary. (Group with subtype "/S /Transparency") Also a Page may have a Group entry (some entries in this dictionnary may be interpreted differently when in a Page group).

AVI import fails for older files but works in iMovie

I have two sets of AVI files, one from early 2000 and newer post 2008.
Both groups of files import fine into iMovie 11.
however, only the newer group imports into FCP X.
I can convert the older files to MOV using QT, but this won't work well for many files.
Seems if iMovie can read, so should FCP X.

I have had a similar problem, where maye 8 out of 10 AVI format moves will download into iPhoto, but the rest simply never get there. I did get 107 out of 109 files OK but have seen worse. I can tell you about which camera it is, how I connect and so on, but first, this:
A small sidebar in the Bugs & Fixes column of the April, 2007 Macworld magazine (see page 89) mentions that: "the likely cause is a problematic third-party QuickTime Plug-in." and advises the reader to check for and remove plug-ins not installed by OSX.
I took the same camera and imported all 109 pics from my camera on a separate account of the same machine (20" i-mac but I don't think this is relevant) and got all 109 f 109 files just fine.
So, I think "problematic third party QT plug-ins may be a good call. Need to investigate this some more, but its a flaky problem and Macs are supposed to "just plain work".

On the Portal Navigator's Page Groups tab, the error "The portlet could not be contacted." appears where the list of Page Groups should be.
This is happening for 2 users. I see it the error in 1 browser, but not in another (logged on in both browser as same user).
There are no errors in the Apache error log. There are errors in the OC4J_Portal application log:

What is confusing is how 1 browser gets the error but another does not.

This issue seems to be related to the specific URL used to access the Navigator. I was using a specific URL to display a particular page region for editing, namely
/portal/page?_pageid=6,3,6_23&_dad=portal&_schema=PORTAL&p_otype=FOLDER&p_octx=FOLDER.334478_1453&p_domain=wwc&p_sub_domain=SITEEXP
Once the Navigator is accessed via this URL, all subsequent attempts to access Page Groups Navigator portlet fail.
I changed my process to not use the URL above.

Error when exporting Page Group containing Omniportlet

I have a Page Group that, among other items, has one omniportlet comprised of a SQL query. I need to export this to a production server. When I attempt to export the Page Group, everything exports without error except the omniportlet. I receive the below error and warning in the log. Can someone please help explain why I am receiving this error and what can I do to correct it? This is our first attempt in exporting a portal.

Application Import Fails - Why??

I have transferred my portal from Linux (Ver 3.0.9.8.2) to Win 2K (Ver 3.0.9.8.2). All the application imports failed to actually provide the applications. They did however bring in the shared templates that the applications use. I cannot re-create the applications by hand because when I try the portal responds by telling me that they already exist. Subsequent attempt to import them again also states that they exist.
Looking for them in the portal navigator - they do not exist.
Looking in wwv_modules$ shows my components.
We now have an exact copy of our Linux Portal on Win2K except for the fact that it has absolutely no functionality.
Is there any way that we can fix our new portal on Win 2K before I go ahead and try the same thing on our new Linux Server.

I have no idea why this is happening. You may send the application export file (or the export file for page 60 only) to [email protected] and I will check it.
