A AD Sync default scheduled job

Hi all
Can someone give me some guidance in recreating the default dirsync/A AAD sync scheduled task as mine was accidently deleted :(
I've been trying to find some guidance on the net but my Google Feng-Shui must be off today.
Any help would be appreciated

Meh, just create it manually then. Basically, a task that runs every 3h, uses credentials for either the AAD_2347blabla account or any other user that is added to the relevant AAD admin groups, and starts the process "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Azure
AD Sync\Bin\DirectorySyncClientCmd.exe"
Here's an example XML of an exported task:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-16"?>

    Hi,
    By their name we can assume they are Entreprise Manager related jobs. These are probably the jobs meant to keep EM metrics up-to-date.
    If you don't use EM at all then I would think they can be disabled. That being said, if they are not particularly bothering you then just let them live their lives.

  • How to exclude tables from default scheduled stats job in 10.2.0.4

    I am using Oracle default stats job GATHER_STATS_JOB in my database. But i need to exclude stats gathering for few tables as part of my business requirement.

    Welcome to the forums.
    As I am sure you read the docs on DBMS_STATS at tahiti.oracle.com what was it about the method for addressing it in the docs that you don't think will work for you.
    Hint: The correct answer to my question is not "I didn't read the docs because I thought someone here would read them for me." ;-)

  • OIM LDAP sync default attributes

    Hi,
    i am using LDAP sync to provision user/roles to LDAP (OID).
    I did the experience, that organization cannot be sync'd to ldap using ldap sync.
    Are there a list of all attributes, which will sync between OIM and LDAP (OID)?
    Thanks in advance!

    This bit of XML just tells reconciliation to copy the "o" attribute in LDAP to a user database field usr_ldap_organization. It does not reconcile organizations as such. I hope the below is an accurate summary of handling of LDAP organizations by LDAP sync which will help.
    1) LDAP Synch does not reconcile organization objects into OIM
    2) LDAP Synch does provision organization objects to LDAP (although as pointed out perhaps you can customize something outside LDAP sync using an event handler)
    3) Users reconciled from LDAP to OIM ar eby default placed in one OIM organization based on the the LDAP Sync scheduled job settings, irrespective of their organization in LDAP (although their LDAP organization can be reconciled to an OIM user attribute, perhaps allowing you to do some more work in an event handler)?
    4) Users provisioned from OIM to LDAP use LDAP Container mapping to choose the organisation they are written to in LDAP. This is by default a simple set of attribute based rules, however custom code can be written in a plugin. Not that I found a bug that unfortunately the information that holds an OIM users OIM organization (ACT_KEY) is not made available to this plugin on create.
    As to your further question, you can add other mappings as you require in the MDS files (LDAPUser.xml etc.) to map other attributes, either using supplied utilities to simply add UDFs (as mentioned in a previous post) or for less simple changes by modifying the XML by hand.

  • DPM 2012 R2 Upgrade - Scheduled jobs not running

    Hi,
    We're having an issue after upgrading to DPM 2012 R2 where the scheduled jobs are not running.
    We're running Server 2012 R2 with SQL Server 2008 R2 SP2.
    Looking at SQL jobs, if we run the job step we get an error.
    Message
    [136] Job 18822c3e-8fe 7-47a2-bb6e-0feccecc2952 reported: The process could not be created for step 1 of job 0xA746B176EAD99943A14A57DAF684829F (reason: %1 is not a valid Win32 application)
    However, if we place quotes around the triggerjob.exe path in the SQL default job step:
    "C:\Program Files\Microsoft System Center 2012 R2\DPM\DPM\bin\TriggerJob.exe" 9b30d213-b836-4b9e-97c2-db03c3eb39d7 18822c3e-8fe7-47a2-bb6e-0feccecc2952 server.domainname.com
    It is successful.
    We've already uninstalled DPM 2012 R2 and re-installed, restored the database and run dpmsync -sync with the same result. We've checked the DCOM Config Launch and Activation Permissions for Microsoft System Center 2012 R2 Data Protection Manager Service
    and has full access.
    Has anyone else had this issue and been able to resolve it?
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Troubled to get scheduler job to run?

    Hi all friends:
    I'm having trouble getting any scheduler jobs (here, troubled job name is CUSTMASTER_CHANGES_01) to actually run.
    when
    sql>select job_name,state,enabled,retry_count,failure_count,run_count,restartable,start_date,repeat_interval,job_class

    _YORK
    for job 'CUSTMASTER_CHANGES_01'
    we can see RUN_COUNT 0 and restartable false.
    I upped slave processes to 5. dbms_scheduler.run_job('CUSTMASTER_CHANGES_01') works, but it's still not executing on the schedule
    when run as sysdba
    SQL> exec dbms_scheduler.run_job('CUSTMASTER_CHANGES_01');

    ORA-06512: at line 1
    to resolve that,
    we found
    When you create your job by using dbsm_scheduler, it has a parameter called ‘auto_drop’, is by default, =’true’, like, auto_drop => TRUE
    see below;
    dbms_scheduler.create_job(
    job_name IN VARCHAR2,
    job_type IN VARCHAR2,
    job_action IN VARCHAR2,
    number_of_arguments IN PLS_INTEGER DEFAULT 0,
    start_date IN TIMESTAMP WITH TIME ZONE DEFAULT NULL,
    repeat_interval IN VARCHAR2 DEFAULT NULL,
    end_date IN TIMESTAMP WITH TIME ZONE DEFAULT NULL,
    job_class IN VARCHAR2 DEFAULT 'DEFAULT_JOB_CLASS',
    enabled IN BOOLEAN DEFAULT FALSE,
    auto_drop IN BOOLEAN DEFAULT TRUE,
    comments IN VARCHAR2 DEFAULT NULL);
    The job you manually run once and then it drops itself when you test.
    so I am specifiying auto_drop to be false, but it is showing it has true as the attribute.
    DBMS_SCHEDULER.CREATE_JOB(
    job_name => scanner.scanner_name,
    job_type => 'PLSQL_BLOCK',
    job_action => 'BEGIN IF EEG_SCAN.GET_RUNNING_JOBS_COUNT('

    repeat_interval => 'FREQ=SECONDLY;INTERVAL=5',
    job_class => c_job_class_name,
    auto_drop => FALSE,
    enabled => true
    scheduler job is still not working as expected.....?
    Can you help me for this??
    thanks a lot in advance.

    Hi,
    There are a few other limits you could check .
    Make sure that you have not exceeded the maximum number of sessions or the maximum number of processes or the maximum number of scheduler jobs
    select * from dba_scheduler_global_attribute;
    and
    select name,value from v$parameter where name like '%process%';
    select name,value from v$parameter where name like '%session%';
    Also check how many jobs are currently running
    select count(*) from dba_scheduler_running_jobs;
    select count(*) from dba_jobs_running ;
    select count(*) from v$session ;
    One of these limits may need to be increased.
    The run_job succeeds because it runs in the current session by default, if you use use_current_session=>false, does it still work ?
    Also auto_drop only drops the job when it has completed e.g. past its end_date or exceeded its max_runs.
    Finally note that there is a dedicated forum for dbms_scheduler located here
    Scheduler
    Hope this helps,
    Ravi.

  • Background Processing? how schedule job for "System Error" Message .

    Hello everyone,
    in sap help i have read.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/5a/f72040599a8f5ce10000000a155106/frameset.htm
    PCK> Monitoring>Message Monitoring-->Background Processing
    you can schedule jobs for various background processing:
    ●     Archiving of messages processed successfully
    ●     Deletion of messages that are not to be archived
    ●     Restarting of messages with errors
    ●     Rescheduling of lost messages
    can anyone understand this docu?
    give me some introduction, how can i define and schedule these jobs ?
    thx in advance!!
    best regards
    Yaning

    Background Processing
    Prerequisites
    You have started the message monitor on the initial screen of the PCK and are in Background Processing.
    Features
    Archiving
    You require two archiving sessions to archive messages:
    ●     One session to write the messages to the archive
    ●     One session to delete the persisted messages that have been archived
    To do this, you schedule an archiving job, which implicitly schedules the sessions to write to the archive and delete the archived messages.
    You can define one or more rules for each archiving job; these rules contain conditions that a message must meet in order to be archived by the job. At least one of the defined rules must be met for archiving to take place.
    All information that is displayed for a message in message monitoring is archived, in addition to the audit log for each message.
    Deleting
    A standard delete job is created automatically. It runs once a day. You can schedule additional delete jobs; however, you cannot define rules for them.
    Restarting
    Instead of restarting messages with errors manually with message monitoring, you can schedule a job to automatically restart these messages. This is possible for all messages for which the number of defined restart attempts has been exceeded (messages with the system error status).
    You can define one or more rules for each job to restart messages; these rules contain conditions that a message must meet in order to be restarted by the job. At least one of the defined rules must be met for archiving to take place.
    Rescheduling
    A standard job to reschedule messages is created automatically. The job runs once a day and ensures that messages lost as a result of database failure, for example, are rescheduled. You can schedule additional rescheduling jobs; however, you cannot define rules for them.
    Thx Aamir.
    But I mean the messages with errors in Adapter Engine , not in Intergrations Engine.
    the situation is like Naveen Pandrangi's WebLog
    II. Errors in Adapter Engine [XI :  How to Re-Process failed XI Messages Automatically|XI :  How to Re-Process failed XI Messages Automatically]
    I
    Till now we have seen how to resubmit/restart message that failed in Integration Engine.  One a message makes it from Integration Engine to Adapter Engine, the message is flagged as checked in Integration Engine. The status of the message in Adapter engine does not effect the processed state in Integration Engine. Now if this message was asynchronous, XI will by default try to restart the message 3 times at intervals of 5 minutes before the status of the message is changed from Waiting to System Error .
    *how can i schedule a job to automatically restart these messages with errors?
    best regards

    Is it possible to schedule SQLPLUS script with 6 different parameters? If yes then how can I schedule for monday to friday or only for Saturday and sundays.
    Please provide brief steps.
    Thanks for your help in advance.
    - Mehul

    Let me explain to you about scheduler.
    You can schedule a pl/sql stored procedure TEST_S as follows...
    Begin
    dbms_scheduler.create_job(
    job_name=>'MY_JOB',
    Job_Type=>'STORED_PROCEDURE',
    job_action=>'TEST_S',
    start_date=>sysdate,
    repeat_interval=>'freq=monthly;BYDAY=MON,TUE,WED,THU,FRI',
    end_date=>null');
    END;
    You can also also execute o/s script like .bat or .sh. For this job type should be EXECUTABLE.
    Example of converting a .sql script in .bat script...
    insert.sql
    insert into dept values(50,'IT','LONDON');
    exit
    insert.bat
    sqlplus scott/tiger @insert.sql
    Executing now...
    C:\Documents and Settings>insert.bat
    C:\Documents and Settings>sqlplus scott/tiger @insert.sql

    Have you followed Addendum to OIM 11.1.1.5.6 Bundle Patch 06 Readme (Doc ID 1543504.1)?

  • Scheduled Job to gather stats for multiple tables - Oracle 11.2.0.1.0

    Hi,
    My Oracle DB Version is:
    BANNER Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.1.0 - 64bit Production
    PL/SQL Release 11.2.0.1.0 - Production
    CORE 11.2.0.1.0 Production
    TNS for Linux: Version 11.2.0.1.0 - Production
    NLSRTL Version 11.2.0.1.0 - Production
    In our application, we have users uploading files resulting in insert of records into a table. file could contain records ranging from 10000 to 1 million records.
    I have written a procedure to bulk insert these records into this table using limit clause. After the insert, i noticed my queries run slow against these tables if huge files are uploaded simultaneously. After gathering stats, the cost reduces and the queries executed faster.
    We have 2 such tables which grow based on user file uploads. I would like to schedule a job to gather stats during a non peak hour apart from the nightly automated oracle job for these two tables.
    Is there a better way to do this?
    I plan to execute the below procedure as a scheduled job using DBMS_SCHEDULER.
    --Procedure
    create or replace
    PROCEDURE p_manual_gather_table_stats AS
    TYPE ttab
    IS
        TABLE OF VARCHAR2(30) INDEX BY PLS_INTEGER;
        ltab ttab;
    BEGIN
        ltab(1) := 'TAB1';
        ltab(2) := 'TAB2';
        FOR i IN ltab.first .. ltab.last
        LOOP
            dbms_stats.gather_table_stats(ownname => USER, tabname => ltab(i) , estimate_percent => dbms_stats.auto_sample_size,
            method_opt => 'for all indexed columns size auto', degree =>
            dbms_stats.auto_degree ,CASCADE => TRUE );
        END LOOP;
    END p_manual_gather_table_stats;
    --Scheduled Job
    BEGIN
        -- Job defined entirely by the CREATE JOB procedure.
        DBMS_SCHEDULER.create_job ( job_name => 'MANUAL_GATHER_TABLE_STATS',
        job_type => 'PLSQL_BLOCK',
        job_action => 'BEGIN p_manual_gather_table_stats; END;',
        start_date => SYSTIMESTAMP,
        repeat_interval => 'FREQ=DAILY; BYHOUR=12;BYMINUTE=45;BYSECOND=0',
        end_date => NULL,
        enabled => TRUE,
        comments => 'Job to manually gather stats for tables: TAB1,TAB2. Runs at 12:45 Daily.');
    END;Thanks,
    Somiya

    The question was, is there a better way, and you partly answered it.
    Somiya, you have to be sure the queries have appropriate statistics when the queries are being run. In addition, if the queries are being run while data is being loaded, that is going to slow things down regardless, for several possible reasons, such as resource contention, inappropriate statistics, and having to maintain a read consistent view for each query.
    The default collection job decides for each table based on changes it perceives in the data. You probably don't want the default collection job to deal with those tables. You probably do want to do what Dan suggested with the statistics. But it's hard to tell from your description. Is the data volume and distribution volatile? You surely want representative statistics available when each query is started. You may want to use all the plan stability features available to tell the optimizer to do the right thing (see for example http://jonathanlewis.wordpress.com/2011/01/12/fake-baselines/ ). You may want to just give up and use dynamic sampling, I don't know, entire books, blogs and papers have been written on the subject. It's sufficiently advanced technology to appear as magic.

  • BO XI 3.1 Re-schedule failed scheduling job

    Hi...
    I am not sure if I am just unable to find matching resources, but maybe someone can just point in the right direction.
    In a custom application, we have a scheduling overview, where we imitate some of the CMC behaviour.
    Now I need to add a feature to restart failed scheduling jobs.
    Some lines of pseudocode or a hint where I can find samples, documentation or anything will help.
    Any help is appreciated.
    Regards
    Jan

    Hi Ryan,
    Thanks for your reply. I have followed the same sequence but somehow the code is not functioning as expected.
    <%@ page import = "com.crystaldecisions.sdk.occa.infostore.*" %>
    <%@ page import = "com.crystaldecisions.sdk.framework.CrystalEnterprise" %>
    <%@ page import = "com.crystaldecisions.sdk.exception.SDKException" %>
    <%@ page import = "com.crystaldecisions.sdk.framework.IEnterpriseSession" %>
    <%
        // logon information
        String boCmsName  = "***" ;
        String boUsername = "***" ;
        String boPassword = "***" ;
        String boAuthType = "secEnterprise" ;
              // report
        String reportName = "SDK_TEST" ;
              // logon
        IEnterpriseSession ceSession = CrystalEnterprise.getSessionMgr().logon( boUsername, boPassword, boCmsName, boAuthType ) ;
        IInfoStore         oInfoStore = (IInfoStore)ceSession.getService( "", "InfoStore" ) ;
        IInfoObjects oInfoObjects = oInfoStore.query("select top 1 * from ci_infoobjects where SI_NAME='" + reportName + "' " );
        IInfoObject oI = (IInfoObject) oInfoObjects.get(0);
              IInfoObject oSched = (IInfoObject) oInfoObjects.get(0);
               oSched.getSchedulingInfo().setRightNow(true);
               oSched.getSchedulingInfo().setType(CeScheduleType.ONCE);                    oInfoStore.schedule(oInfoObjects);
         %>
    What is happening here is, report is getting scheduled but it is not sending mail/attachment unlike the original schedule instance.
    Below are the details of the rescheduled instance
    Quote:
    Title: SDK_TEST
    Document Type: Web Intelligence Report
    Status Success
    Destination: Default
    Owner: ****
    Creation Time: 5/15/2014 1:53 AM
    Start Time: 5/15/2014 1:53 AM
    End Time: 5/15/2014 1:53 AM
    Duration: 3 sec
    Server Used: mdwnew.AdaptiveJobServer
    PID: 27131966
    Parent Object Path: **********
    Remote Instance in Federated Cluster: No
    Expiry: 5/15/2024 1:53 AM
    Formats: Web Intelligence
    Now my doubt is can we reschedule the report directly or we need to get all the scheduling info like from/to/events etc and then apply them for the new schedule? I think it will be a tedious job as it could be SMTP or FTP or inbox or anything.

    - But I cannot see any "scheduler" jobs in "OEM>Server>Jobs"
    - I get a lists of the jobs in "OEM>Scheduler Central" but I cannot display any more information of "scheduler jobs"
    - I logged off from OEM
    - I granted SCHEDULER_ADMIN role to "SA_ADMIN"
    GRANT SCHEDULER_ADMIN TO "SA_ADMIN";
    - I logged back in OEM as "SA_ADMIN
    - I can now see some scheduler jobs, but not all of the jobs, I still cannot see any of the new jobs I created logged in OEM as SYS.
    Which are the required roles/privs for viewing all scheduler jobs in OEM?

    if you grant "SYSDBA" to the new Admin user then you can see the "scheduler" jobs.
    GRANT SYSDBA TO "SA_ADMIN";
    I wanted to grant "read" access in OEM for the new user.
    This behaviour is strange.
    Without the "SYSDBA" role the new user can see the OEM backup jobs that were create in as SYS, but it cannot see the "scheduler" jobs.

    Hi,
    Could you please explain, what is OS authentication?
    I created a new user for creating and runing jobs.
    I have given following priveleges to the new User.'
    1)Connect
    2)SELECT_CATALOG_ROLE
    3)Create Job
    Then, I created the job as follows.
    BEGIN
    sys.dbms_scheduler.create_job(
    job_name => 'SMPL_TST_JB',
    job_type => 'PLSQL_BLOCK',
    job_action => 'Declare
    Result Integer;
    begin
    Result:=1;
    /* Other statments */
    Exception
    when others then
    Result:=3;
    end;',
    repeat_interval => 'freq=daily;byhour=10;byminute=00;bysecond=00',
    start_date => systimestamp,
    job_class => 'DEFAULT_JOB_CLASS',
    auto_drop => FALSE,
    enabled => TRUE);
    sys.dbms_scheduler.set_attribute( name => 'SMPL_TST_JB', attribute => 'logging_level', value => DBMS_SCHEDULER.LOGGING_FULL);
    sys.dbms_scheduler.set_attribute( name => 'SMPL_TST_JB', attribute => 'restartable', value => TRUE);
    END;
    Then, I run the job as following.
    SQL> begin sys.dbms_scheduler.run_job ('SMPL_TST_JB'); end;
    2 /
    begin sys.dbms_scheduler.run_job ('SMPL_TST_JB'); end;
