A box with a blue outline appeared in my bookmark drop-down menu. I can't get rid of it, and it obstructs the view of the bookmarks as I scroll up or down. Help!
I was trying to bookmark a page, using the "Choose" menu in the bookmarks. I must have touched a key by accident, and a box with a blue outline & the name of one of my folders appeared in my bookmark drop-down menu. At first the box contained the folder name, then I was trying to delete the box, and erase the name, thinking it might get rid of the box, but it didn't. I can't get rid of this box! It obstructs the view of what is underneath. It stays in the same position as I scroll up & down in the drop-down menu, and it hides what is underneath. Please help me get rid of this box. It is driving me crazy! Thanks!
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Every ten minutes a popup on my 4s appears saying "unable to download" with the option of "done" or "retry". I can't get rid of it and I can't find out what it's trying to do! theres noting pending on the App Store or iTunes. Nothing failed. I've reset my settings. Logged out and back into itunes. Tre here was a singular failed song on iTunes on the computer that was trying to download and messing everything up. Maybe if you use iTunes on the computer and have a little mooch you'll find the same thing. I think it was hidden in the purchased part of it -

Try the suggested idea above. I just disabled all the add-ons which were not compatible with FF 5 and did a FF restart. That fixed the problem. I then enabled each one, one at a time, with a FF restart until the problem came back. I then disabled that add-on.

every time i want to go to another page a pop up comes up with 'do you want to navigate away from this page'. For instance when i am on FB and i want to view a picture i am asked the question, also if i go to hotmail and want to go to the inbox the same question is asked. This issue can be caused gadgets on the Facebook page.
You will have to check that out by removing each of them until you find the culprit.
If you added or updated gadgets recently than start with those.

I accidently installed NoScript when trying to remove adverts/pop-ups. Now it's causing problems on various sites I regularly use and I can't get rid of it. It doesn't show up on Tools/Add- ons so I can disable and JavaScript has been disabled, even though it shows as 'Enabled'.

I can't get rid of duplicate songs on my iphone or in the itunes.Help
I cannot get rid of duplicate songs on my iphone or on the itunes player on my computer. I also cannot get my songs to play on my iphone in shuffle mode. It just plays the same song over and over again. Any lovely geeks out there?
Welcome to the forums.
If you have duplicate songs in iTunes you ought to be able to find them by using the "Find Duplicates" function and erase them by highlighting them all and pressing delete. Remember, though, that songs are not necessarily recognized as duplicates if they don't have the same tags (that is, a song can be duplicated but with a slightly different song title and iTunes cannot recognize it as a duplicate and it would be up to you to delete it manually).
Once you've cleaned up iTunes it will automagically clean up your iPhone when you sync it. So work on getting iTunes in order first.
People have complained about shuffle mode on the iPhone. One thing you can do is to create a smart playlist that selects the songs you want and does it randomly. You may have to create one or more of these depending on how you listen to music, but they will indeed give you "shuffled" songs. -

And, you are sure you have provided the correct username and password for you email account? I'm not familiar with Virgin media, so you might contact their tech support to find out why you are having a problem sending mail but none receiving mail. I assume your mail account has always been POP3 and not IMAP. Typically, the outgoing mail servers are not the same for the different types of account service.

Exactly how it sounds, my mother in law is having troubles with her iPhone. When she types anything into the "To:" box, this photo, previously in her photo library, pops up.

I would suggest 3 things here. First if you haven't already, Restart the iPhone with tis procedure from
iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting

Restarting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
If that does not resolve the issue, then I recommend closing all the apps.

From the Home screen, click the Home button twice.
Tap and hold on the app.
When it starts to jiggle, tap the - to close it.
Double-click the Home button and try opening the app again.
And if that fails to resolve the issue, then I suggest backing up and restoring your iPhone with iTunes.

A key board has appeared on my screens and I can't get rid of it and I can't enter data
I have an Ipad air and this morning a keyboard has appeared. It is present on all screens. When I tap the key to remove a keyboard I only have a choice to "Dock" or "Split". I have tried to all options but the keyboard remains. I am also unable to use then keyboard for anything other than entering my passcode.

Let's just say I have saved bookmarks of things that i do NOT want my friends to see when they use my computer occasionally. I know they could go and find these bookmarks anyway in the bookmarks menu but they dont snoop around my computer. i would rather it not just pop up when they go to search for something or type in a webpage. If there is no way to customize what shows up in the drop down menu for search results then that is something apple overlooked. Not everybody wants things all in one place. Whats the point of deleting search history and website history if its just going to show the certain things you have bookmarked? Any solution to this would be appreciated. One solution i thought would work was disabling search from suggesting, but i guess that only supresses the webpages not the url/search bar. Oh and this is for safari 6.0.2 please dont give me outdated advice.

In Firefox 4, you don't have the menu bar by default. You can view the menu bar by right click on the bar near the TAB's, you'll get a menu with choices, among the choices is "Menu bar" check that and you have your menu bar back.

What version of Premiere Elements are you using and on what computer operating system is it running?
From your description "little circle with a line in it", that sound like a symbol when you are trying to do a cannot do operation.
What exactly are you doing in your edit activities when you see this circle with a line in it? Is it at the end of the mouse cursor?
Can you post a screenshot of it?
If my first impression of what this is happens to be correct, then "How do I get rid of it?" answer comes from
a. defining what you want to do
and
b. correcting any mis-steps you are taking in doing that

First of all, I just got my iMac a week ago, it is a 2013 late model with 16GB of rams and with an Intel Core i5 3,2 GHz CPU, running Yosemite.
I just noticed a dark blue version of Youtube on my desktop background, I took a picture with my phone to see how that looks like.
