Dear experts,
I am from BI background. I have been asked to do a testing in BCS and received the following message when I tried to generate NPAT:
A method layout without a target object causes a one-sided reclassificat.
Message no. UCF4008
Diagnosis
You have not defined a target object in the method layout.
System Response
This method will consequently perform a one-sided reclassification. It will only read records from the database with a posting level not equal to zero and will post them without a document type.
Procedure
Select the target object in order to define the method layout for a normal reclassification.
As a result, NPAT has not been generated, so can you guys help me out to understand what is happening here?

I think you are using this reclassification technique for reclassifying Net income and Retained earnings.
This message normal you get if
1. If you have executed reclassification task in update mode once and posted NI and RE. or
2. There is no NI or RE.
Please let me know if you have any further queries.

Tracking every time a method is called in some object?

Hi,
I would like to use reflection to log every time some method is called in an object.
Example;
public class A {
public void x () { }
public void y () { }
I would like some automatic mechanism that would allow me to register this object such that every time method x() is called, I have a System.out.println (or some other logging) saying "method 'x' called" and the same for every time method y() is called ... without having to modify the body of each method I want to track. If I have to put my logging calls into every method, then it defeats the purpose of what I'm trying to accomplish.

If your method calls are through an interface, set up a proxy that logs the calls using java.lang.reflect.Proxy.
If they're through a class, you can't use reflection and need to either use code generation or bytecode manipulation (either roll your own or use an aspect oriented programming kit - logging is the canonical AOP example).

I have a problem I'm trying to retrieve all the page and the iviews of my portal with all thier properties, the problem comes when an iview or a page is a deltalink, I want the properties of the target object of the deltalink, there is some method to do this (that works like the delta link tracer)?

So if I understand you right, you want to get the "original" object (and it's properties)? For this you can do the following, after you have looked up the iView and accessed it's attributes (for this see http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/de/e6/e8a04267deb211e10000000a155106/frameset.htm ):

How to change "Object Causes Wrap" and a "Picture Frame" as a default properties when importing images in Autor

When I place images in iBook Author, they are automatically assigned these properties: "Object Causes Wrap" and a "Picture Frame" stroke.
I don't want that and couldn't find where can I change it in the Preferences. Anyone has an idea?

How to create a new user without any sample objects from any other user?

Question as the title.
I had the example dababase installed when I installed the Oracle database.
Every time, when I create a new user, there will be some example objects coming
with the new user.
How can I remove these objects from the new user?
Or, how can I create a new user without the example objects?

I think the easiest way for you would be to use OEM.
Just locate each object that you want to remove and right click->remove. Don't bother doing this for any indexes as these will be removed when you drop the corresponding tables.
If you want to try command line through sqlplus then identify the objects you want to remove by selecting from the user_objects view while logged in as this user. This will give you the name and type of object. Then issue the relevant drop command.
It's probably worth making sure you have a valid backup first, just in case things go wrong!

Transparent objects cause fuzziness in PDF's from Pages

Hi, having trouble with objects that have some transparency. When going to PDF's, or even to PS files and then PDF's, the objects cause anything near and under them to become fuzzy. Has anyone a fix or workaround to this, other than not using objects with transparency? Thanks in advance - Tim L.

Some additional input... it seems it's not the transparency, but drop shadows that are causing this. It may be the combination of drop shadows on graphics that also have transparency. In any case, turning off the drop shadows makes the PDFx output look OK and not have adjacent text fuzzy. The graphics look better with drop shadows - but the drop shadows cause other problems with transparent graphics and adjacent text. Solution - don't use drop shadows in this case.

Mathod Layout is a customizing tool in SEM-BCS. A method layout determines the appearance of the step hierarchy for the methods that are based on that particular method layout; it is also configuration step which characteristics and key figures from the consolidation area are used in the methods and availability of these characteristics for input.
Fast entry in the method layout is used for creating steps in the method. By creating steps, it is possible to meet specific consolidation requirements, items group wise.

Run button's method action without input text's validation raise

I use jdeveloper 11.1.1.3.0
I have a button and an inputText(with validation) on the page. I defined a method action for the button.
when I click the button, the input Text's validation raise and the button's method doesn't run.
If I set immediate=true for the button then the validation doesn't raise but in this case also button's method doesn't run.
How can I run button's method action without input text's validation raise?

Also put partialSubmit="true" for your button.

Turn off Object Causes Wrap for in-line tables

Is there a way to uncheck object causes wrap for inline tables? The option is there but it's grayed out.
Or perhaps someone could suggest an alternative way to put text beside the table. Floating will not work because I want my tables to move with my text.
My document is in Word Processing mode.

I just tried this and it works for me. Put your cursor where you want your text and create another inline table. Make it one column by one row. Type your text in the single cell. Set the border color to white if you don’t want to see the “box.”
