To the wonderful mods of this place,
I registered to voice my strong support of your company. The arrival of Firefox-weilding selfish "monster customers" are simply trying to extract free services under the guise of "Customer service". These are the same people who don't click on the ads on my websites.
I have gone out and purchased TWO Creative Soundcards to replace my soundcard. Take that, inter-nerds!

LOL I too have much respect for Creative. They are considered Old School to me. I remember my old Sound Blaster SCSI card that hosted my first (tray loading) CDROM. I remember the awesome sound that my original Soundblaster allowed games like Wing Commander to play. Now I hear awesome explosions from BF242 with my Xi-Fi Elite Pro. I may just have to buy my mom a Xi-Fi Already installed one for my brother. ;D
The only time I haven't had a Creative board is when I used an Aureal2 card. (My Roland sound canvas was plugged into my sound blaster.) Creative now owns their IP (paid lots of $) which is great that the IPs stay American owned. Creative still has a ton of competition from cheap on board sound chipsets.
Boycott Microsoft who released Vista without a HAL. Or China for giving us lead in our toys and anti-freeze in our toothpaste. Don't boycott Creative Labs a great American company (that came out with a pretty good solution to this problem.)
If Daniel K is so familar with their driver code they should hire him. It would be good for publicity. He would probably make a good coder or at least product manager.
There are a number of improvements the driver could use. Switching Mic2 with Mic for games would be nice. Muvixer a 3rd party app currently is a workaround for this. It is not an unusual request for someone to ask that their IP (that they probably paid many millions of $ for) be respected.

Rescue & Recover: my newfound respect for this program

For years, I've pretty much ignored RNR except for creating recovery disks (takes forever!) and the rare restore from the disks (takes even longer than forever!). Generally, Rescue & Recovery seemed a bit flaky and not always trustworthy.
But, after spending oodles of time getting my W500 and T60 to grab and install ALL the drivers (per Device Driver) I wanted to clone the disks for a backup for virus and malware protection, as well as my own miss-steps.
I've discovered that RNR works pretty well these days. Ver 4x has a slightly confusing menu and the terminology can require reading the help files, but all in all the latest program did the job for me.
The only "hitch" is the program's refusal to install on a bootable thumb drive. ("all your Resources are belong to us" error message) However, creating a rescue CD, and even setting up an external USB drive (not a thumbdrive) works fine.
Rescue & Recovery certainly does appear to be quite hardware agnostic, unlike Microsoft's Backup & Recovery, which is very specifically fussy about the recovery process to a different drive. I mean, gee....what's the sense in doing a backup if the recovery does not work on a replacement drive, eh? Thanks for listenin'.

Tables fro Fun., Loc., BOM: TPST, STKO, STPO.
You can use FMs: CS_BOM_EXPL_TPL_V1, CS_BOM_EXPL_EQU_V2 & CS_BOM_EXPL_MAT_V2 for extracting the appropriate BOM related data.
And for the Alternatives please check the customizing or check with your respective Module experts for the appropriate configuration.

HTML Editor for creating e-mail templates for SAP Cloud for Customer

Hi Techies,
                 Is there any preferred software for creating e-mail templates to use with SAP Cloud for Customers ? I mean to avoid unnecessary errors when creating standard e-mail template which are recognized unified manner within the system.
Will appreciate with rewards points for best support.

Here is a template for the wire-frame that we used. We went with pure HTML tables so that the response could be multi-client compatible. We found that additional code caused issues with certain clients. In the middle table, we had linked icons to our respective self serve properties and additional support options for Chat and our own Support Community.
The content of the email will be placed where #Text# is. Our email responses include the content and the basic signature. We also provide our detailed legal disclaimer at the bottom with additional links if needed.

Steps for creating a new BAPI function module

Hello experts,
Can any one send me steps for creating a new BAPI function module , I got a requirement to do like this,but I dont have any clue about how to create.
Please help !!!

BAPI stands for Business Application Programming Interface.
There are 5 different steps in BAPI.
- Create BAPI Structure
- Create BAPI Function Module or API Method.
- Create BAPI object
- Release BAPI Function Module.
- Release BAPI object.
Step1. Creating BAPI Structure:
- Go to <SE11>.
- Select Data Type & Enter a name.
- Click on Create.
- Note: Always BAPI should be in a development class with request number (Not Local Object).
- Select Structure & hit ENTER.
- Enter the fields from your database. Make sure that the first field is the Primary Key Field.
- Then SAVE & ACTIVATE.
Step 2. Creating BAPI module:
- Enter TR.CODE <SE37>.
- Before entering any thing, from the present screen that you are in, select the menu
   Goto -> Function Groups -> Create Group.
   Enter a name (Note: This name Must start with ZBAPI)
   Let this screen be as it is and open another window and there, enter TR.CODE <SE80).
   Click on the Third ICON that says Inactive Objects.
   Select the group that you just created and click on Activate.
   Notice that the group you created will disappear from the list of inactive objects.
- Go back to <SE37> screen and enter a name and hit <ENTER>. Then enter the group name that you just created and activated.
NOTE: When you release a function module the respective group will be attached to that particular application. It cannot be used for any other application. NEVER include an already existing group that is attached to another module.
Now click on the first Tab that says [ATTRIBUTES] and select the radio button that says remote-enabled module since we will be accessing this from any external system.
Then click on the second tab that says [IMPORT].
Enter a PARAMETER NAME, TYPE and the structure you created in the first step. Also select the check box Pa. All remotely enabled functional modules MUST be Pa enabled, where Pa means Passed by Value and if you dont select Pa, then that means it will be passed by reference..
Then click on tab that says [EXPORT].
Enter the following as is in the first three fields
RETURN        TYPE        BAPIRETURN (These 3 field values are always same)
Here also select Pa meaning Pass by value.
Note: BAPIRETURN contains structure with message fields.
Then SAVE and ACTIVATE.
Step 3. Creating BAPI object:
- Enter Tr.Code <SWO1>   (Note. It is letter O and not Zero).
- Enter a name and then click on create. Enter details.
NOTE: Make sure that that Object Type and Program name are SAME.
- Enter Application M, if you are using standard table Mara. If you are using your own database then select Z at the bottom.
- Then hit <ENTER>.
- Now we have to add Methods. High light METHODS and then select the following from the menu:
Goto Utilities -> API Methods -> Add Methods.
- Enter function Module name and hit <ENTER>.
- Select the second FORWARD ARROW button (>)to go to next step.
- Check if every thing looks ok and again click on FORWARD ARROW button (>).
- Then select YES and click on <SAVE>.
- Now on a different screen goto TR.CODE <SE37>. Enter Function Module name and select from the top menu Function Module -> Release -> Release.
- Goback to TR.CODE <SWO1>.
Here select the menu combination shown below in the same order.
- Edit -> Change Release Status -> Object Type Component -> To Implemented.
- Edit -> Change Release Status -> Object Type Component -> To Released.
- Edit -> Change Release Status -> Object Type -> To Implemented.
- Edit -> Change Release Status -> Object Type -> To Released.
- Then click on <SAVE>.
- Then click on Generate Button (4th button from left hand side looks like spinning wheel).
- Then Click on the button that says PROGRAM to see the source code.
To check if this is present in work flow goto TR.CODE <BAPI>.
Here it shows business object repository.
- First click on the middle button and then select ALL and hit ENTER.
- Goto tab [ALPHABETICAL] and look for the object that you created. This shows that the BAPI object has been created successfully.

Error while creating a task for creating an generic task /app/dac/CustomSQ

I have created a sql file in DAC server /app/dac/CustomSQLs/ ,just to fire an update sql in database
In DAC task tab i have created a task with the following:

I created subject area and assembled ,then created a Execution plan.

verify the following settings:
1. mapping of ECC plant and storage location and logical system number with the appropriate availability group code since this links the stock types in EWM to ECC org elements (SPRO -> EWM -> Interfaces -> ERP Integration -> Goods movement)
2. ensure the availability group configuration is correct (SPRO -> EWM -> GR Process -> Configure availability group for putaway) - check all applicable nodes in this configuration since the availability group code is assigned in the pertinent storage types

HI Alsalfi,
Simple Object allows only for single table. If you want to create for multiple tables, then u need to create BOL for each table and define a parent -child relationship and also its cardinality in the Simple object configuration in spro.

ive been working on creating an order using idoc_input_orders and couldnt do it because of 2 fields. now changed my decission and thinking of writing a bapi to do the same. has anybody got the sample code for mapping and filling in the bapis before calling bapi for creating an order. First thing is you are mistaking the quality of jpg vs gif. There is no way to get the same quality as a jpg, it just does not have enough colors. If you took a jpg image and converted to grayscale, then it would have the same number of colors even though they all would be shades of gray. Gray is color so...
Jpg does not support transparency, layers or animations which is why it is not a good candidate for web animations. If you need full color, full transparency, and/or animations then you amy want to consider flash. Currently it is the only format for the web that supports all 3 and layers.
That being said, png does have a sister format for animations but is not supported in all web browsers.
Another alternative is quicktime, or windows media. Each can play in a web browser if the plugin is installed they both support full color and transparency (the latter supported under certain circumstances {correct codec}) But not all users have either or both video players installed, so most of the time it will work, but there is that chance.
The lastest version of HTML is suppose to support the quicktime format but I don't know enough about how well it is supported via HTML and the number of Browsers. But it is an option that is worth keeping an eye on.
So for a gif file...
Keep in mind that the entire file that includes all frames must maintain a maximum of 256 colors with 1 of the colors reserved for transparency. Which is the reason for harsh borders on a transparent edge of the image. Not enough shades for transparency to have a smooth gradation.
Even though your second image may work fine, odds are the first image will not and will look as you put "scattered". Simply because each of those books are made up of multiple shades of that color times the number of colors needed for all the books, background, text, etc. Even the reflection effect for the text is made up of multiple shades of that color. So in reality it just does not have enough colors in the table to make the image look smooth.
I hope this helps some, I am sure it is not quite what you wanted to hear, but if you do a bit of research or throw your hands up and say good enough. You will at least know why and it wasn't you to blame, it is the outdated technology of the gif format.

This process chain contains 13 processes For each location, which is running in parallel. Some time we are getting the error message " Program for creating a model is locked by User

Locking happens if there is any overlap of models or duplicate scheduling of jobs with same variant.

Open interface for creating/updating orgs

Is there an open interface/API for creating and/or updating organizations representing plants/distribution centers/warehouses etc in EBS?? If not is there any way to load such information beside the UI.

Have a look at the Human Resources product on iRep. There ara API's for organizations and i thing classification also.
