JoanHi Joan,
I have very similar code in my application, and its working fine:
Zbapi_Alm_Notif_Data_Add_Input addNotifData = new Zbapi_Alm_Notif_Data_Add_Input();
wdContext.nodeZbapi_Alm_Notif_Data_Add_Input().bind(addNotifData);
Bapi2080_Nothdri addNotifHeader = new Bapi2080_Nothdri();
addNotifData.setNotifheader(addNotifHeader);
*The DataSource property of my interactive form is set to "Zbapi_Alm_Notif_Data_Add_Input", and the Mode Property is "UpdateDataInPDF".

PDFDocumentRuntimeException: Failed to UPDATEDATAINPDF--- ADS
Hi experts,
I got an issue with ADS in EP trying to test my web dynpro
applications.
I did all configuration and test and it is successful.
The Log shows this message
com.sap.tc.webdynpro.clientserver.adobe.pdfdocument.base.core.PDFDocumentRuntimeException: Failed to UPDATEDATAINPDF
Also this one: Caused by: java.io.IOException: Executable does not
exist: /usr/sap/DES/JC00/j2ee/os_libs/adssap/XMLFormService/bin/XMLForm.exe
My System has a SP12 level and the note 886572 explain that theres no
patch level for Adobe, what could probably be the reason?
How i can find the bin/XMLForm.exe content?
My operative system is SUSE SERVER 10
RegardsHi,
In my case as I´ve explain the issue was caused because the hardware was not compatible with ADS, you can watch this info in the Marketplace (PAM).
I´ve configured ADS in another server.

Thanks&Regards,
Kiruthika.SHi,
I think the problem is with the node that u have mapped to the data source property of the Interactive Form UI element. Create a element of the node(which u are mapping to the data source property) or set the cardinality to 1..1 or 1..n, for that node.
Try this and let me know....

How to fix this.
ThanksHi Anagha,
Here is the code in the wdDoInit of the DownloadView. I am using a DC instead of webdynpro project mentioned in the how to do document: https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/library/user-interface-technology/wd%20java/wdjava%20archive/offline%20interactive%20pdf%20form%20using%20download.pdf

wdContext.currentContextElement().node().getNodeInfo().
getAttribute("PdfSource");
ISimpleTypeModifiable type = attInfo.getModifiableSimpleType();
IWDModifiableBinaryType binaryType = (IWDModifiableBinaryType) type;
binaryType.setFileName("TravelRequest.pdf"); // Set file name
binaryType.setMimeType(WDWebResourceType.PDF); // set the mime type
String fileName =
"temp\\webdynpro\\web\\local\\LocalDevelopment~pdfdemo~<company>.com\\Components\\com.<company>.demo.OfflinePdfDemoComp\\TravelRequest.pdf";

File file = new File(fileName);
FileInputStream in = new FileInputStream(file);
ByteArrayOutputStream out = new ByteArrayOutputStream();

byte[] part = new byte [10 * 1024];
while ((length = in.read(part)) != -1)
out.write(part, 0, length);
in.close();

Why does exportPDF continually answer enexpected error on all files tried to Word docx file? Bought today failed all attempts so far!
Hi David
Thank you. The conversion succeeded after shutting down the computer,
restarting a session next day from within Acrobat Reader X version
10.1.4 and logging in to the ExportPDF software /before /selecting a
file to convert. It was therefore a problem of not logging in first or
of having to reboot the machine, after buying your software and
resetting the password that helped solve the problem.
Hopefully this procedural order will help with others who have had the
problem.
Please share this solution with the forum if you want to.

EAR deployment classloader Question: test fails

Hi Ajay
based on your feedback I tried a test - by creating an EAR which contains
1>test1.jar - an EJB [ the manifest file having the test22.jar]
2> test22.jar another EJB
3> test2.jar - a common jar[ the manifest file having the test2.jar]why does this point to itself ?
4> testservlet.war - a servlet file in a war
Weblogic deploys them all - I can invoke the EJBs too. But when I try toinvoke
the servlet from the browser - it says the test.TestServlet class notfound! -
this is because the testservlet.jar file which contains this class should be
in WEB-INF/lib of the .war file.
but I see the servlet war deployed from the console! - is this a bug? I amattaching
the EAR file - its pretty self contained and you can try it out in urweblogic
env [6.1 sp3 win2k].
thanks

Hi
So what you say can be summed up as
1> all EJB jars in the same EAR gets loaded by the same classloader.
2>So if in the jar manifest file I write the CLASSPATH to the B thenthe
classlaoder
for the EJBs will also load B.
3> Since the WAR classloader is child to the EJB classloader - theWAR can
also
see the same B.
Yes you are correct.
Now do I have to have the manifest entry[CLASSPATH] for every EJB jartha
I make?
If the same classloader is used for all the jars in the same EAR Ishould
not
need to do that - right?
Is this feature changing in 7.x?
thanks
Anamitra
"Ajay" <[email protected]> wrote:
Hi
You can refer to B.jar from the War and the EJB jar through the
Manifest
files
In EJB jar and WebApp jar manifest files you can have
Class-Path: B.jar
In 6.1sp2 the EJB classloader is same as the Application ClassLoader.
All
EJB's within the EAR are loaded by the same Classloader. WebAppClassLoader
is the child Classloader of the Application Classloader.
Hope this helps

Hi Guys I have a very basic question regarding EJB deployment in
Weblogic
6.1 sp2.
Is it possble to create an EAR file such that -
1>it contains a WAR file [of servlets/jsps/client classes] - A
2>a jar file containing our core server classes[not EJBs] - B
3>a jar file containing EJBs - C
here A and C are definitely getting loaded by different class
loaders
- I
want
the classloader for B to be parent of the classloaders for A and
C
- so
that both
A and C can see B. - is this possible by some EAR/Weblogic specificway.
OR the best solution is to place the B in the main classpath and
deploy
the C
and A in an EAR?
thanks Anamitra -

PDFDocumentRuntimeException:Failed to GENERATEPDF
Hi, I have a 2004s sp8 and the matching IDE. when I run the Web Service Test I get"Incorrect content-type found 'text/html'
I also get the similar error when running a simple wd application with a form that has only a text field in it (simplest form).
I have checked the documents and followed the installation/configuration guide. Has anyone seen similar problem? I am out of options.
Thanks and Regards.This problem is due to the user password of your Java stack having expired.
Go to the Visual Administrator: OPen the nodes -> server -> service -> security provider.
On the User Management tab, display the user ADSUser and check the field 'No password change required'.
(It may also be necessary to update the password.)

PDFDocumentRuntimeException Error with web dynpro and Interactive Forms
Hi,
I installed on my notebook the Trail Versions of:
- SAP NetWeaver Application Server 7.00/Java AS 7.00
- SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio Version: 7.0.14
- Acrobat Reader 7.0.9
- Internet explorer 7.0.5730.13
I configured and tested the ADS after the configuration guide and i get the Version info sucessfully if I do the http://localhost:50000/AdobeDocumentServices/Config Test.
So i developed a web dynpro application with interactive forms after a tutorial and did exactly the same (so i think i have to configure something on the server or on the client). All other Webdynpro applications without an interactive forms are running without any problems.
