A Random ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException while launching an application

Hi,
I have a swing application which has only one tree and no threads. I get an exception on starting the application when the tree is drawn. This exception is not coming regularly, hence we are not able to create an exact debug scenario.

When you encounter that type of error, try using SwingUtilities - invokeLater() method instead of using a Thread object.
          SwingUtilities.invokeLater(new Runnable(){
               public void run(){

  • Java Security Error while Launching the Application through JNLP

    Hi!,
    I have a problem in launching my Application through JNLP. It is giving the Error dialog as "Unable to lauch application" with the dialog title as "Java Security Error".
    I don't know why this problem is coming but when I have reset my profile on my system & then I tried to launch the same application & I got success.
    Can anyone suggest me what was the problem?

    hi,
    usually it is the web dynpro launch system that is causing the issue, OR there is a misconfiguration in the backend like the tasks are set up with com.sap/esslea in the backend and the xml file is referencing sap.com <SWITCH>/esslea and the dynpro is showing this as not deployed.

  • Random SAXParseException while deploying web application

    Hi,
    We are using Weblogic 9.2 to host our web applications that are build with iBatis mapping to Oracle 10g backend.
    While deploying the applications, we keep getting the following error. The weird thing is that on redeploying the application multiple times, the error goes away eventually and the application runs fine.
    Any idea where/how to troubleshoot?
    regards,
    Rana

    As the error message tells, did you make sure you have a correct/valid archive file? You might try deploying it from command line to make sure issue isn't at EM side.

  • Response time is high while launching the application

    Team,
    Our application was developed long ago using Core java (JDK1.5), weblogic 9.2, EJB , JDBC and Threads. During launching of the application, it will get all the reference data (customer data) from DB by using 5 threads with the help of JDBC and EJB and weblogic server. One thread has around 30K rows and it is taking too long to load all the data into the map. Finally, the application launch time got increased.
    I have set the property "Row Prefetch Size" to 1500 in the DataSource configuration in the weblogic console. But the improvement is only 8 sec. I need to improve it more, so that my application should launch in less than a minute.
    Can any one suggest me.
    Thanks

    Hi - I have profile to some extent, in my application 2 queries were taking long time to retrieve the customet data, since the customer data is more in the tables, so i have made some changes to my application as mentioned in the above comment, and it got worked to some extent (i.e., locally when i launch my application through eclipse). But, it is not working in Production. Is setFetchSize() method dependent on the jdbc driver or anything else?Yes it depends on JDBC driver.
    Are you sure what setFetchSize(rountCount) does? if your understanding is it'll fetch only the number of rows given in the setFetchSize, then it is wrong.
    If you really want to do something like even if the table has 10K rows only fetch 1500 rows, then use setMaxRows(rowCount).

    Suggest me , if we have a profiling tool to measure.You could go for JProfiler, download the trial version.

    Hi
    We are facing issues with the development components of WD type deployed on a server with more than one instances.
    We have build up a custom development component & deployed on the server. Created a Portal page for the deployed component & when trying to launch that page in Portal, we are facing a common internet error as  "The Page Cannot be Displayed" .
    "The page cannot be displayed
    The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web site might be experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust your browser settings.
    To attempt fixing network connectivity problems, click Tools, and then click "Diagnose Connection Problems..."
    When trying to lauch the same page from specified instances, the applications launches successfully but fails when tried through central instance.
    Has any one faced this issue earlier? Please share the experience.

    Hi Archana
    Please check that where you are delpoying application central instance or other instance.

  • Problem while launching Webdypro Application on click of a work item in UWL

    Hi All,
    I am trying to launch a webdynpro application by clicking one of the work items in UWL. But I am getting the error as "iview N/A".
    It is trying to use the UWL Launch Webdynpro iview(with the id com.sap.netweaver.bc.uwl.uwlLaunchWebdynpro)
    I searched for the above iview,I could see all the UWL related iviews at the following location(Portal content->Content Provided by SAP->End user content->Standard Portal users->iviews ->com.sap.netweaver.bc.uwl.uwliviews)
    I could find UWL Launch SAP BSP and UWL Launch SAP Transaction and few more,but could n't find UWL Launch Webdynpro iview.
    Can any one let me know wat do I need to do,to get that iview.
    I am working on EP6 & KMC SP19.
    Thanks for the help
    Regards,
    Santhosh

    Hi Santosh
    One thing is clear that you can see your task in the UWL, If your SWFVISU is entry is correct (especially the System Alias ), the only reason i can see is the XML is not imported properly.
    Login as administrator and navigate to
    System Administration->System Configuration->Universal Worklist & Workflow->
    Universal Worklist Administration
    Re-Register your System again.
    and click this link on the same page "Click to Administrate Item Types and View Definitions"
    There will be an XML imported, just check your Task Number is present and check
    the application, if exists should not be a problem.
    If you see the SAP Standard ESS workflows, all webdynpro applicaitons are directly called by specifying the webdynpro component name, not as an iView.
    I think you are using Portal iView to display your webdynpro, try to use the webdynpro applicaiton as it is.

    I can't afford to remove the version attribute as it is required for auto-update. Has anyone ever tried faced such problem.? Please help me. Any help is highly appreciated.Thanks in advance.

    It's just as told.
    If you're using explicit versions, the server response MUST provide an header to tell which version is returned (you could be using 'wildcards' like 1+).
    How are you serving requests? Are you using JnlpDownloadServlet? If so, check docs: extra work is required in order to use version features.
    If using your own service google for header (and parameter) name, use exact versions and copy to the response the value you're retrieving from the request.
    Bye.

  • An error occurred while launching/running the application

    We've been using Web Start to deliver one of our products for over 2 months. We're getting about 10 downloads of our application a day which is very good considering we're in a very niche market (mapping applications). However, some customers (about 20%) are having a number of problems with Web Start either during installation or during download. For this reason we had to create a stand alone installer for customers that couldn't get Web Start working or more commonly could get Web Start working but couldn't download our application. The most common problem we see is the 'Unable to load resource' problem. I've attached the different errors and different exceptions sent from a customers site. Can you spread any light on this. Is it to do with Web Start not being able to identify the proxy?
    Many thanks in advance

    Apologies for the lack of response only I bust my knee a week ago and I've been in agony since. Anyway enough moaning.
    Yes users are behind a firewall. From what I can get from Sun the problem stems from JWS's inability to detect script based proxies. This is very frustrating because we have about 25% of our customers that just can't use JWS because of this. Ok so they could type it in manually, however, how many system support people are going to give out those sorts of details to end users, besides most end user don't even know what a proxy is!
    To get around this we've provided a standalone installer (which defies the point of JWS in the first place). Don't get me wrong I think JWS is an amazing piece of software, however, I can't see how JWS can be used successful across the internet until this is solved, intranet, extranet fine.
    In our experience you can't leave 25% of your customer base behind!

    Hello all,
    I'm using the "tutorial" demo from Vamp, and

    Try downloading the jar file itself and opening it with winzip or checking its contents with jar tf <jarfile name>
    if it is indeed corrupt (as the exception stacktrace seems to indicate) try mailing the person who wrote the demo so that he can check whether the jarfile is there or not, and whether it is corrupt or not.
    Other than that, nac.

  • "Error occurred while packaging the application" Apple iOS, Launch on Device

    After several successful launches to a physical iOS device (iPad) I suddenly started getting this error "Error occurred while packaging the application". It occurs within a couple of seconds after I click "Run".  I am running the current FB 4.5.1 on Windows XP (SP 3).  I've tried cleaning the project, re-booting my computer, deleting and re-creating the project, and re-creating the iOS configuration; the issue remains.  I have not yet removed and re-installed FB.
    Below is my configuration info.
    Many thanks if someone has an idea about how to resolve this.

    Here are the log file contents for my most recent session.  Thanks.

    Roopal,
    This question has too much parameters. In order to help you out, I need to know more information. For example:
    1) Is this a new issue? Has your keyboard worked fine before?
    2) Is you keyboard hanging up when you run a specific application? Does it hang up at boot up?
    3) What operating system are you running?

  • LV search for old dll names while launching application

    Hi,
    I have changed some dll that I use in a LabVIEW Programm. To follow the changes to make in my Vi's step by step, I changed the name of the dlls one after the other, so that I get broken arrays. Then I adapted my Vi's to those new dlls and linked the new dll names to the vi's. Then, I changed the dll names again in order to reuse the initial dll names. And loaded them again while loading my vi's. All goes well so far.
    After a while, I used the Aplication Builder to make an exe and an install version. All goes well. After the Application installation (which also worked well),
    when I launch the Application, the programm always asks me for those other dll names (and not the initial ones which I reused at last).
    Thanks a lot for any Help.
    By the way, I use LV6.0.2 with Windows 2000.

    It is entirely possible that you missed one DLL call. Check again. You can try doing a text search in your hierarchy for the names of the DLLs.
    Another thing to check is your ini file (created for all executables - usually called labview.ini or "application name".ini and is located on the root directory, or your target directorty. If you have removed all references to the DLLs, try deleting it from this file, if its there.

    Notes:
    1) Please use the code tags when posting code or JNLP/HTML. It helps to retain indentation and avoids asterisks and plus sings being interpreted as formatting marks. To do that, select the code/JNLP etc. and click the CODE button seen on the Plain Text tab of the message posting form.
    2) That launch file is invalid. You might check it (and the project in general) using JaNeLA.
    3) The only place that SimpleSerial class could be, that the JRE would find, is in the root of aeon.jar. Is it actually there?

    SimpleSerial.java
    import java.io.*;

    Interface class for SimpleSerial.
    If you don't know what an interface is, don't worry. An interface defines the functions
    that can be called by implementors of this class. Currently there are two implementors,
    SimpleSerialNative, and SimpleSerialJava. There might be more in the future.
    SimpleSerialNative requires the file "SimpleSerialNative.dll" to be in the same folder as your Java
    project file. It's that simple.
    SimpleSerialJava requires the correct installation of Sun's Javacomm communication package. It's much
    more powerful, but it can be tricky for the newcomer to configure, and use.
    If you have problems with one, why don't you try the other.
    A VERY SIMPLE IMPLEMENTATION:
    public static void main(String args[]) {
    SimpleSerial ss; // delcare the SimpleSerial object
    ss = new SimpleSerialNative(2); // The argument is the commport number. There is no Comm0.
    ss.writeByte((byte)'a'); // write a byte to the serial port
    // Give the PIC chip time to digest the byte to make sure it's ready for the next byte.
    try { Thread.sleep(1); } catch (InterruptedException e) {}
    ss.writeByte((byte)'!'); // write another byte to the serial port
    String inputString = ss.readString(); // read any string from the serial port
    System.out.println("I read the string: " + inputString);
    A few important things to note:
    1. When you write data to the serial port, it just writes the data, whether or not the PIC chip is
    ready to receive data. There's no handshaking or signaling. If you send data and the PIC chip
    isn't ready for it, it will be ignored. Some PIC chips have a hardware UART which will buffer a
    few bytes of data for later retrieval. But this isn't a cure-all. If the buffer fills up, it
    creates an error condition which prevents further data from being read. You need to include
    custom PIC code to reset the error flag.
    2 In contrast to the PIC chip, the computer has a rather large hardware buffer. If the PIC chip
    sends serial data to your computer when you're not around to read it, it gets stored.
    3. If you make a call to readByte(), and there's no data to be read, readByte() waits until there
    is data. If you want to know how much data (if any) is available, make a call to available().
    4. Conversely, if you make a call to readBytes() or readString() and there's no data to be read,
    readBytes() returns a byte array of zero length, and readString() returns and empty string.
    5. If you want to use Sun's JavaComm package instead of this code, subsitute your calls to
    new SimpleSerialNative(2);
    with
    new SImpleSerialJava(2);
    public interface SimpleSerial {
    // These are copied right out of WINBASE.H
    // Most applications should be fine with the defaults.
    public static final int NOPARITY = 0;
    public static final int ODDPARITY = 1;
    public static final int EVENPARITY = 2;
    public static final int MARKPARITY = 3;
    public static final int SPACEPARITY = 4;
    public static final int ONESTOPBIT = 0;
    public static final int ONE5STOPBITS = 1;
    public static final int TWOSTOPBITS = 2;
    Returns the number of bytes available at the time of this call.
    It's possible there are more bytes by the time readByte() or
    readBytes() is executed. But there will never be fewer.
    public int available();
    public void waitForData(int n);
    public boolean writeString(String string);
    returns TRUE if port is fully operationsal
    returns FALSE if there is a problem with the port
    public boolean isValid();
    Be sure to close your serial port when done. Note that port is
    automatically closed on exit if you don't close it yourself
    public void close();
    Reads a single byte from the input stream.
    Return value will be from -128 to 127 (inclusive)
    If no data at serial port, waits in routine for data to arrive.
    Use available() to check how much data is available.
    If error, returns 256.
    public int readByte();
    Reads all the bytes in the serial port.
    If no bytes availble, returns array with zero elements.
    Never waits for data to arrive
    public byte[] readBytes();
    Reads bytes from serial port and converts to a text string.
    DO NOT use this routine to read data. Char->Byte converstion
    does strange things when the values are negative. For non-
    text values, use readBytes() above
    public String readString();
    Writes a single byte to the serial port.
    This writes the data, whether the PIC is ready to receive or not.
    Be careful not to overwhelm the PIC chip with data.
    On pics without a hardware UART, the data will be ignored.
    On pics with a hardware UART, overflowing will loose data AND require
    the UART on the PIC to be reset. You can reset the UART in PIC code,
    or manually turn the PIC off and then on.
    NOTE: A byte has a value in the range of -128 to 127
    NOTE: If you want to write a character, you need to cast it to a byte,
    for example: simpleSerial.writeByte((char)'b');
    public boolean writeByte(byte val);
    For more advanced use. Gets the input stream associated with serial port
    public InputStream getInputStream();
    For more advanced use. Gets the output stream associated with serial port
    public OutputStream getOutputStream();
