[AA7+] [Windows] Set default text size for "auto" setting...
Good morning:
I was wondering if it is possible to set the default font size or specify a maximum font size
for the auto setting of the font size on a text field when using the auto setting?
Currently, if the font size is set to "auto" it defaults to 12 pt. text if multiline is checked on the Options tab.
If multiline is not checked on the Options tab, the font size will adjust to the height of the box.
I would like to have the multiline checked, specify "auto" for the font size, but have the auto font size be no larger than 8 pts.
It can go smaller than 8 pts. if there is too much text in the field, but should not be larger than 8 pts. because the other form fields are in 8 pt.
If someone has any suggestions on how to achieve this, I would be most appreciative.

Default text size for a scaling/auto field
Hi All,
Im currently using Adobe Acrobat X Pro and am working in a PDF all written in size 10 font. I have text fields that need to be entered and scale if too much text is written. I've set the font size as 'Auto' and this scales without issue, however when the field is first entered and not yet scaled (as in, there is enough room for the text) it defaults to size 12. I'm needing this to default to size 10, and still be able to scale if too much text is entered, but I can't find any options for this. I essentially lose my ability to set the default text by setting it to 'Auto' yet it's still going to size 12 by default - how can I change this setting to size 10?
I've tried searching various forums for this answer but can never find exactly what I'm after - Any help will be appreciated.

If that's the case, would I be able to write an 'on mouse down' java script as a work around, or will these font sizes be dealt with the same. As in, if I change font size with a script to 10, will this effectively remove my 'auto' text size that allows scaling? -
Setting default text editor for sql+ in win2k
the define _editor=...command in sqlplus doesn't seem to be
working for me. Can anyone shed a bit of light on how to make
this work under windows 2000 pro? I want to get rid of notepad
and replace it with NoteTab which is a much more advanced text
editor over the stock m$ editor.

Different Text Size for different mobile devices and Tabbed View Application
Hi,
I am developing an sample mobile application to target all mobile devices (IPhone/IPad/IPod and Android).
I am facing an Issue that i am using default text size for the TextInput, TextArea and label but text size look so small for some devices, i discuss this with some(unkown) person(he is an IPhone developer).
He told me that in Iphone development for different devices they use different text size.
So how would I do the same at our Flex Mobile application ?
Please provide me help regarding this
There is one more problem in the application. I have tabbed view application, and i assign the firstview of the tab after 10 or more seconds of interval so that data will load in the application properly.
But issue is that my first tab is not show anything at first go. When we switch the tab then it loads the screen and application work fine.
Please provide me any help so that i can see the first Tab Screen.
ThanksHi there. For your font issue you need to set up a variable call it var fontSize or something. Then have an if statement that reads something like if (stage.stageWidth <= 320) fontSize=8 else if (stage.stageWidth > 320 || stage.stageWidth <= 640) fontSize = 12.
Then instead of giving your font a size give it the size of fontSize variable and it will check for stage width or whatever you base it on and apply that size to your text field.
I had done this for an app I did for Kellogg Garden Products but if you notice when you go from portrait to landscape mode the font size increases using this technique.

Yes you can do it by creating material master with MRP Pofile.
First you need to create MRP Pofile in MMD1 where you need to define the LOT SIZE and MRP TYPE which you want then make these value as Fix Value.
Then Create material master MM01 with this MRP Profile and check your result.

Default text size in Compressor is too small for normal human eye
Is there any way to change the text size in Compressor 4 in the windows? I can't find any.
The normal default text size is way too small for any normal human being eye to read clearly.
Please, have mercy on us, whoever designed the tiny fonts! Not fair to the rest of us . . .Well, guess we folk with not-too-good vision will simply have to keep on trucking the best we can, eh? We can't enlarge text, so as a result we can't use software like Compressor like the rest of the population. Sad to say, especially with a company like Apple . . .

I have set text size to Auto but it starts too small
I have created a form in Acrobat Pro 9, and set text size to Auto in all fields.
I know it is limited to the height of the field, but one of the fields is a block for multi-line paragraghs. Size is set to Auto, font to Times Roman. When I open the file in Reader to test it, it looks like it's starting at 12 points. It goes down from there as the whole block is filled with text, but I'd like it to start at around 18.
Advice?as I mentioned, this one field is a block for multi-line paragraghs. It's one, large text block, taking up the bottom half of the form, so that users can input multiple paragraphs of text (they're telling their story). Some people will write a lot, some less. That's why I set it to Auto, so that the shorter stories would be in larger text, but longer stories will still shrink to fit.
It works, but I want to know if their is a way to get the text to start out at a larger font size before auto-sizing-to-fit. I mean, Something is telling the font to start at 12 point...
Should I attach the form to this discussion? (How do I do that?) -

OTOH, it this is an app. with a GUI, it is easier to launch it using webstart, and request extra memory in the JNLP descriptor (the webstart launch file). -

You can now use CSS styles to set the default text format for TextView. It no longer has any formatting properties. It supports the entire set of Gumbo text format styles.
SkinnableComponent and Group now also support all these styles. However, skins such as ButtonSkin, TextInputSkin, and TextAreaSkin continue for now to specify instance styles on their TextBox, TextGraphic, and TextView, in order to give them a Gumbo look rather than a Halo look. So if you try setting, for example, the fontSize on the Application, it doesn't yet affect the text format of a Button, TextInput, TextArea, etc. unless you remove the instance style in the skin.

Was wondering if I can set fix dimensions (size) for a window(frame) in Java.
Background: I have a menu and when I click on one of the options a window opens but I hate the fact that I can enlarge it...wish it would be fixed sized and have scroll instead... :P

First you should be searching the forums to see if you questions has been asked and answered before. (Very few questions posted in the forums are original). It makes sense to search the forum where the questions should have been posted in the first place.
For example, if you had searched the Swing forum using "fixed size jframe" you would have found this posting at the top of the search results:

Hi simonp, To set the paper size to be printed on, please follow these steps: 1. Open an application such as TextEdit. 2. Go up to File and select Print, or press the CMD+P keys on your keyboard. 3. Locate the PAPER SIZE field, then select the LETTER paper size. 4. Look for the drop-down menu labeled PRESETS, then expand this menu and choose SAVE AS.
5. Type in a name of your choice for this default setting, then click OK.
You will now be able to select the above created preset from any application you print from, with the default paper size being Letter. Hope this helps! -
Is there a way to set new default heap size for Java?

I have a problem with setting global heap size for installed version of Java. By global I mean that every program that will be run using that version of Java, will be using that amount of memory. for heap. I know that I can use Xmx and Xms for each program that I start, but I don't want to do this. I just want to set some kind of property for installed version of Java.Launch Firefox and set the web page as wide as you want by dragging the hash marks at the lower right corner. Center the page on your screen where you want it. Then quit Firefox. launch Firefox again. The page should be just where on the screen and sized as you set it prior to quitting.

Default font size for a value in a table in Answers
Hi,
I am trying to set a default font size for a column of table view in Answers, so that when I create a new report, this default font size is used. Can someone please point me to the file where I can make this change?

It means it's coming from the formatting in the request in Answers...not from a style sheet! You'll note in Firebug, that there's actually no *.css file mentionned. I.e. example from here:

color:#00AF00;
.OORD {views.css (line 1574)
text-align:right;
.PTE {views.css (line 1077)
background-color:#FFFFFF;
First part element.style comes from my conditional formatting and doesn't reference any css file
The other two elements are from the views.css which control my pivot table.

How do I change the default paper size for printing?
I am running Firefox 3.6.3. Recently, the default paper size for printing unexpectedly changed to a user-defined size of 3.00" x 4.57". It used to be letter size (8.5 x 11). The default paper size is 8.5 x 11 for everything else. I have tried changing the size in the preferences dialog box and then clicking "default", but after I close Firefox or if Firefox opens a new window, the default size switches back to 3.00" x 4.57". Does anyone know how to fix this?
