Hello friends,
need some help.
i have created the datasource which si based on infoset. i would like to go for the structre which will be based on program. my structure is based on pa0001 and most of the fields are from the same table.
could you please tell me how should i write a code as i not good in coding. please provide me sample code as well...
my extract structure name is ztest . it will be a nice help for me

you have one infoset(It is also some thing like table... won't contain data physically)... from which you want to extract data...?
no need of any code... you after creating the DS save that one. Goto RSA3, check the contents for that DS.
Replicate DS in BW. Build the Data flow in BW.

This produces the following output list:
The program uses four hexadecimal fields with length 4 - FRANKFURT, FRISCO, INTERSECT, and UNION. Each of these fields can represent a set of up to 32 elements. The basic set is the set of all airlines from database table SCARR. Each bit of the corresponding bit sequences representes one airline. To provide an index, the external index table CARRIER is created and filled with the airline codes from table SCARR. It is then possible to identify an airline using the internal index of table CARRIER.
In the SELECT loop for database table SPFLI, the corresponding bit for the airline is set either in the FRANKFURT field or the FRISCO field, depending on the departure city. The line number SY-TABIX is determined using a READ statement in which no fields are transported.
The intersection and union of FRANKFURT and FRISCO are constructed using the bit operations BIT-AND and BIT-OR.
The bits in INTERSECT and UNION are read one by one and evaluated in two DO loops. For each position in the fields with the value 1, a READ statement retrieves the airline code from the table CARRIER.
Comparing Bit Sequences
Use the following three operators to compare the bit sequence of the first operand with that of the second:

The second operand must have type X. The comparison takes place over the length of the second operand. The first operand is not converted to type X.
The function of the operators is as follows:

The logical expression

is true if the bit positions that are 1 in <hex>, are also 1 in <f>. In terms of set operations with bit sequences, this comparison is the same as finding out whether the set represented by <hex> is a subset of that represented by <f>.

is true if the bit positions that are 1 in <hex>, are 0 in <f>.
M (bits are mixed)
The logical expression

telnet is nothing but connecting the system using the FTP command..
first know the port number to ..and use the below command in abap program to connect FTP.
FTP_CONNECT - Open a connection (and log in) to an FTP server
FTP_COMMAND - Execute a command on the FTP server
FTP_DISCONNECT - Close the connection (and log off) the FTP server

Needs sample ABAP code for field routine

Dear Expert,
There is a field "Pay Scale Group" in my DSO which stores the data in the format
AA1/B1/CCC2/DD2/EEE1, A1/BB2/CC2/DDD3/EE2 etc. These data has to be transferred to
InfoCube where "pay Scale Group" in the InfoCube will store the data like EEE1,EE2 etc.
I need to write a field routine on the transformation between DSO and Cube.
Can any one please help me with the sample ABAP code for this scenario.

You can use the following code :
Suppose the technical name of the field coming from DSO is ZPAY_SGRP.
And also for example let me take one record, that is ZPAY_SGRP = AA1/B1/CCC2/DD2/EEE1 .
My assumption is that there will always be 4 '/'.
In the field routine write the below code
data: V1(5) type c,
          V2(5) type c,
         V3(5) type c,
          V4(5) type c,
         V5(5) type c.
data : VAR1 TYPE /BIC/OIZPAY_SGRP.
split VAR 1 at '/' into V1 V2 V3 V4 V5.
result = V5.
V5 will be having the characters after the last '/' .That is V5 = EEE1.

thanks for the link. I have aleready checked that, i should have specified more..
The thing is that these examples require that we have the client IP and port . But in case of a NATed client, I don t see how to get this client IP.
I looked in JMF API desperately for getting client info. But the only thing I get is the Participant class. No IP address nor a port to work with.
'Anyone has a clue, or a code sample of a small server that listen for clients and retrieve dynamically their IP/port? would help a Lot

Triggering Process chains through abap code

When I am trying to execute process chain with variant as a APD ( In this APD data is getting loaded form one Query to Transactional ODS.) This process chain being executing through one ABAP program using the following code
CALL FUNCTION 'RSPC_API_CHAIN_SCHEDULE'

I_CHAIN = 'XYZ'. ( Dummy Process chain name)
While executing this program I am getting following message :
You can specify the name of the application server here
on which all jobs in the chain are scheduled
If you do not specify a name, the jobs from batch
management are divided between the available servers
How to avoid this message.
Can we write any code in the above program to assign any fixed server name so that it will not ask for any server name.
Your help is much appreciated.

Can anyone provide ABAP code for a customer exit variable please?
Requirement:
0CALYEAR(InfoObject) - ZCALCYR (Variable) Calender year with default value actual year.
Proiperties of variable: single value,mandatory,ready for input,can'be changed in query navigation.
i have read some docs on customet exit variables which i got from SDN but i found it's difficult for me to get this as i am not that good in ABAP.
