Abap non use objects
Hi Folks,
I would like to know if there is a facility in SAP to retreive all objects that are not use. As example, a function module that is not called by any programs or other objects or a simple program that is not attach to any jobs or transaction. We are trying to reduce our system with only objects needed to speed up our future analysis for future projects.
Thanks!!!
hello,
I do not think there is any facility for non use list...
becasue one object can also be called dynamically which is not shown under where used list scanner!!...
Thanks

Notes on using Object oriented concept in ABAP
Hi ,
I want somes notes on how to use Object oriented concept in ABAP.
Thanks in advance.
ChetanHi, this may help you
OOPs ABAP uses Classes and Interfaces which uses Methods and events.
If you have Java skills it is advantage for you.
There are Local classes as well as Global Classes.
Local classes we can work in SE38 straight away.
But mostly it is better to use the Global classes.
Global Classes or Interfaces are to be created in SE24.
SAP already given some predefined classes and Interfaces.
This OOPS concepts very useful for writing BADI's also.
So first create a class in SE 24.
Define attributes, Methods for that class.
Define parameters for that Method.
You can define event handlers also to handle the messages.
After creation in each method write the code.
Methods are similar to ABAP PERFORM -FORM statements.
After the creation of CLass and methods come to SE38 and create the program.
In the program create a object type ref to that class and with the help of that Object call the methods of that Class and display the data.
Example:
REPORT sapmz_hf_alv_grid .
Type pool for icons - used in the toolbar
TYPE-POOLS: icon.
TABLES: zsflight.
To allow the declaration of o_event_receiver before the
lcl_event_receiver class is defined, decale it as deferred in the

"Non rectangular objects will not appear correctly when exported using CSS."
I am using Ind CC 2014 exporting a document to a reflowable epub. The document contains an .ai image. The image exports correctly in some parts of the.epub but not others, where it is distorted. There is a warning on export :"Non rectangular objects will not appear correctly when exported using CSS." Any suggestions appreciated.
Thanks!

ALV using ABAP Classes and Objects
Hi All,
I am trying to print the values in my internal table using ALV, using ABAP classes and objects. Here the title for columns are picked based on the title specified in the data element. I want to set the title of my columns by my own. how to achieve this ?. Please provide me a sample code if possible.

"Your script uses objects from a non-existent collection"
I have a multiple page form with a barcode on each form. I created a separate collection for each barcode. The auto generated code looks fine and has the correct collection created, however I still get the error, Paper Forms Barcode error "Your script uses objects from a non-existent collection".
I'm not sure what is wrong and I don't know how to fix it. Anyone else run into this? You will need to create a shared folder in Dropbox, then populate that with what ever folders you need to organize the files. It appears the DropBox app, will not handle this, but you can do, it by logging in to you account via Safari. Once the folders are created, they will show up in the app. Likewise with designating the folders as shared. Anyone you wish to share with will need a Dropbox account. (using the public folder will not work since links out it are for files only, not folders. An odd restriction, but it is what it is).
IF you have copies of the files on a PC, you will find that will be the easiest place to upload them from. If they are only in iBooks on the iPad, you will need to synch and use the file management function to copy them off. not sure if you can synch them back over to DropCopy within iTunes (never tried it).
DEpending on your needs, a couple of apps to look into are iCab Mobile (a browser), and GoodReader (doc viewing and management app). Both integrate well with DropBox. -

Defining non-Component objects with size and location using Swing
I am attempting to write a program which will be able to manipulate (display, move, resize) objects in a Swing window which are not necessarily components. These "Window"s are defined by a Window interface which defines a Window as any object which has a size and a location (effectively a rectangular area). This would ideally allow me to perform operations such as drawing an arbitrary picture on a Jpanel, for example, wrap that drawing in a rectangular area, and then be able to resize it/move it about as a separate panel. In order to do this I believe I would have to override the paint() method, although I'm not completely sure. If anyone has any suggestions of a proper way to override the method or know a proper way to attack this problem, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks,
AdrianIt's hard to say since it's not quite clear what you're doing but:
1) if these objects are not necessarily components, that's fine, but you're not trying to add them to the basic GUI framework, are you? If you want to do something like this, then probably the best thing is to have a particular component that knows how to handle these objects, and then have a clean separation between components and non-components at that level. So this component would maintain and display a collection of those non-component objects, but no other component would be expected to know anything about them, and the non-component objects wouldn't know about any components at all.
2) it might be helpful to give all the non-component objects a method that looks like this:
void drawSelf(Graphics g);and that this method would tell the object to draw itself on that Graphics object. The object might also have an "offset" value, essentially an x,y position, and it would draw itself relative to that position. -
Exporting a PDF so that non-printing objects show but don't print?
I've just spent a couple hours trying to find an answer to this in the forums, but can't. (The most frustrating was one thread where the original poster said, "I found the answer here," and gave a link that went right back to the main page of the forum. Argh.)
Okay, anyway ... what I need to do?
I've got a document with graphics that I want to show up on the pdf when I export it, but that--if a reader prints it--don't print.
The document looks like a 3-ring binder with "tabs" for each section--just like the real thing. But the rings and tabs go right up to the edge and look terrible when printed, and whose printer can print right at the edge of the paper, anyway? But the tabs work as navigational links while looking a the pdf, and the rings just make it look cool, so I WANT them in the pdf.
I've tried:
Turning the entire layer into a non-printing layer (one that "shows" but does not "print"). But when I export it to a pdf, it doesn't show up on the pdf to look at OR to print. So that doesn't work.
Using the Attribute option to turn each object into a non-printing object, but so far as I can tell, that doesn't do a thing, because they still print from the pdf.
Exporting with the "create pdf layers" turned on and off. Exporting with the "include non-printing items" turned on and off.
Basically, I've pretty much tried everything. I gather, from browsing the forums, that this is POSSIBLE, but can't for the life of me figure out what to do to make it happen. (Short of hiding the tabs' layer and creating an entirely separate PDF and calling it "Print version" which is not exactly what I want to do!)
Is there maybe some magical combination of ons and offs I need to select to make this whole thing work?
(And, seriously, am I the only person who thinks the supporting documentation is just dreadful? I can't find anything in any of the Help screens that even mentions this, much less explains how to do it.)
Any help is appreciated!!
--DebPartial progress...
The button option (and, I'm using CS3, by the way--I should have said that originally) does work in terms of showing on the pdf but not printing.
The problem is that it messes up the way the document looks.
I said it's designed to look like a 3-ring binder with tab-dividers between each section, and each tab has a hyperlink to take you to that section.
Now, when you've got a paper binder in front of you, the tabs stay in the same sequence, and often overlap a bit (which mine do). The problem I'm having, having turned all of them into buttons, is that when you click on any of them, it "jumps" to the front of the row, so that they don't "flow" in the correct sequence.
Am I explaining this well? You know, the top-most tab is at the top of the pile, the next one is always below it and above the third one, and so on ... you never see the second tab on TOP of the first one. I'm trying to get the document to act as close to a hard-copy binder as I can, and it did ... except the buttons keep jostling each other for attention...
I'm going to go play around with this some more now, but ... any suggestions? (Other than restructuring my tabs so that they don't overlap at all?) -
Sum in ALV grid display using objects
Hi Experts,
I have created a Report with ALV using objects and also am able to get SUM for some fields using do_sum = 'X'.
My problem is i want to do some calculation using the total amount which i have got, how can i do that (or can it be done??).
Thanks in Advance...
SantoshHi this may be of some help.
ABAP List Viewer
The common features of report are column alignment, sorting, filtering, subtotals, totals etc. To implement these, a lot of coding and logic is to be put. To avoid that we can use a concept called ABAP List Viewer (ALV).
This helps us to implement all the features mentioned very effectively.
Using ALV, We can have three types of reports:
1. Simple Report
2. Block Report
3. Hierarchical Sequential Report
There are some function modules which will enable to produce the above reports without much effort.
All the definitions of internal tables, structures and constants are declared in a type-pool called SLIS.
1. SIMPLE REPORT.
The important function modules are
a. Reuse_alv_list_display
b. Reuse_alv_fieldcatalog_merge
c. Reuse_alv_events_get
d. Reuse_alv_commentary_write
e. Reuse_alv_grid_display
A. REUSE_ALV_LIST_DISPLAY : This is the function module which prints the data.
The important parameters are :
I. Export :
i. I_callback_program : report id
ii. I_callback_pf_status_set : routine where a user can set his own pf status or change the functionality of the existing pf status
iii. I_callback_user_command : routine where the function codes are handled
iv. I_structure name : name of the dictionary table
v. Is_layout : structure to set the layout of the report
vi. It_fieldcat : internal table with the list of all fields and their attributes which are to be printed (this table can be populated automatically by the function module REUSE_ALV_FIELDCATALOG_MERGE
vii. It_events : internal table with a list of all possible events of ALV and their corresponding form names.
II. Tables :
i. t_outtab : internal table with the data to be output
B. REUSE_ALV_FIELDCATALOG_MERGE : This function module is used to populate a fieldcatalog which is essential to display the data in ALV. If the output data is from a single dictionary table and all the columns are selected, then we need not exclusively create the field catalog. Its enough to mention the table name as a parameter(I_structure name) in the REUSE_ALV_LIST_DISPLAY. But in other cases we need to create it.
The Important Parameters are :
I. Export :
i. I_program_name : report id
ii. I_internal_tabname : the internal output table
iii. I_inclname : include or the report name where all the dynamic forms are handled.
II Changing
ct_fieldcat : an internal table with the type SLIS_T_FIELDCAT_ALV which is
declared in the type pool SLIS.
C. REUSE_ALV_EVENTS_GET : Returns table of possible events for a list type
Parameters :
I. Import :
Et_Events : The event table is returned with all possible CALLBACK events
for the specified list type (column 'NAME'). For events to be processed by Callback, their 'FORM' field must be filled. If the field is initialized, the event is ignored. The entry can be read from the event table, the field 'FORM' filled and the entry modified using constants from the type pool SALV.

Want to have own selection screen in HR-ABAP report using LDB
Hi experts,
I am working on HR-ABAP report using LDB pnp and infotypes..But, here we get the built in selection criterion..but I want my own selection screen to be displayed..whats the solution for this??? Is it possible to create my own selection screen instead of default one..and how???
Please help me..its very urgent..Hi,
chk this out:
Create Report Categories
In this step, you define the report categories and determine the layout
of the standard selection screen for these report categories. You can
create report categories for programs or queries that are based on the
PNP or PNPCE logical databases.
The definition of report categories is divided into two sections:
o In the Change Report Category view, you define general attributes
such as sort order, input fields for date, and so on.
o In the Change Selection Criteria view, you define which selection
fields of the logical database should be avaliable on the selection
screen.
Example
You want to set up your system so that your employees can only start
evaluation reports for Payroll if they use a payroll area. Within a
payroll area, you should be able to select according to personnel
number. Additional selection criteria should not be possible and you
should not be allowed to enter a sort sequence.
Standard settings
The standard system already contains report categories. You can find the
attributes of the report categories in the table.
Note the following five report categories in particular:
o Report category ' ' is the SAP default report category for
programs that are based on the PNP logical database.
o Report category PNPCE is the SAP default category for programs that
are based on the PNPCE logical database.
o Report category '00000000' is the customer-specific default category
for programs that are based on the PNP logical database.
o Report category '0PNPCE' is the customer-specific default category
for programs that are based on the PNPCE logical database.
o Report category __X2001 is the default category for Queries that
are based on an InfoSet of the PNP LDB.
o Report category QUEPNPCE is the default category for queries that
are based on an InfoSet of the PNPCE LDB.
The default report categories are used when a report is called if
the report has not been assigned a report category.
Parameters and Options for Report Categories of the LDB PNP and PNPCE
Parameters and Options in Screen Area General Data
If you activate this parameter, you can only enter data on the data
selection period if you use reports that have been assigned. The
same date entries are then used for the person selection as for the
date selection.
o Matchcode allowed
If you activate this parameter, you have use of a Matchcode
pushbutton (search help) if you use reports that have been assigned.
This pushbutton enables you to perform the person selection.
o Sort allowed
If you activate this parameter, you have use of a Sort pushbutton if
you use report that have been assigned. This pushbutton enables you
to define a sort order before you execute the report.
o Organizational structure allowed
If you activate this parameter, you have use of an Org.Structure
pushbutton if you use reports that have been assigned. This
pushbutton enables you to perform the person selection.
Note:
For more information about these options, see the online
documentation under this path:
SAP Library -> Human Resources -> Reporting in Human Resources
Management -> Standard HR Reports -> Report Selection Screen in
Human Resources Management.
Parameters and Options in Screen Areas Data Selection Period/Person
Selection Period/Payroll Area/Period/Year
o Options for data selection period and person selection period (key
date and so on)
Here you define which options for date and person selection are
available for reports that have been assigned.
o Options for payroll area/period/year
Here you define which options for selection using payroll
area/period/year are available for reports that have been assigned.
Parameters and Options in Screen Area Selection View
o Type/Name
This parameter enables you to use selection views to define report
categories. You use the selection view selected here to determine
which fields are available in the Dynamic Selectionsy.
Note:
You create selection views for the PNP and PNPCE logical databases
in the Object Navigator (SE80):
1. Start the Object Navigator (SE80)
2. Choose Workbench -> Edit Object.
3. Choose the More... tab page and the Selection view on this tab
page.
4. Choose Create.
5. In the Create Selection View dialog box, choose the For any
tables option.
6. In the Name of view field, enter a name for your selection view.
7. In the Tables dialog box, enter the name of the table from which
you want to use fields.
Note:
When you enter the table name, observe the naming convention in
Personnel Administration:
Infotype number: nnnn -> table name: PAnnnn
8. Choose Continue.
9. In the Functional groups area, define functional groups by
assigning a name and a number.
10. Assign fields from the selected tables to the functional groups
by entering the number of the desired functional group in front of
each field.
11. Save your entries.
For more information about adjusting the dynamic selections using
your own selection views, see the online documentation under the
following menu path:
SAP Library -> Human Resources -> Reporting in Human Resources
Management -> HR Standard Reports -> Report Selection Screen in
Human Resources Management -> Enhancing the Selection Screen -
Dynamic Selections.
If you do not want to offer dynamic selections, make the following
settings:
- LDB PNP: In the Selection view field, enter PNP_NO_FREE_SEL.
- LDB PNPCE: Leave the Selection view field empty.
Parameters and Options in Screen Area Data Selection Period/Person
Selection Period/Payroll Area/Period/Year
o Available input parameters, date or period entry (today, key date,
all, and so on), and standard value.
Using the Standard value option, you define which of the selected
options is shown.
Parameters and Options in Screen Area CE Selection Fields
o CE selection fields (external person ID, grouping reason, grouping
value)
Using the options in this area, you define whether the external
person Id, grouping reason, or grouping value are available on the
selection screen.
Note:
These parameters are only relevant for you if you implement
Concurrent Employment (see also note 517071).
Parameters and Options in Screen Area Selection view
o Dynamic selections as dialog box
If this switch is set, you can call the dynamic selections as a
dialog box.
o Dynamic selections active
If this switch is set, the dynamic selections of the logical
database are active at the start of the report.
Note that the following combinations are possible for the last two
options mentioned:
Dyn.Sel. as dialog box/Dyn.Sel. active: inactive/inactive
Dyn.Sel. as dialog box/Dyn.Sel. active: inactive/active
Dyn.Sel. as dialog box/Dyn.Sel. active: active/inactive
Activities
1. Choose Edit -> New entries.
2. Enter an abbreviation and a long text for the report category.
The customer name range for report categories is 0-9.
3. Select the For the PNPCE logical database checkbox, if you want to
create a report category for a program or for queries of the PNPCE
logical database.
4. In the General Data screen area, choose the desired options.
If you want to use selection IDs, you must have first created and
grouped selection Ids. The IMG path to do this is given in the
parameter description section.
5. In the Data selection period/person selection period or Selection
period screen area, choose the desired options.
6. In the Selection view screen area, choose the desired options.
7. In the CE selection fields screen area, choose the desired (only
possible for report categories of the LDB PNPCE).
8. Save your entries.
9. Choose the subactivity Permitted selection criteria.
10. Choose Edit -> New entries.
11. In the Select option field, use the input help to select each field
that should be available on the selection screen.
12. Select the checkbox in the 1.page column, if you want this selection
field to be available directly when you call the selection screen.
Further notes
13. If you want to copy entries, you still have to enter the selection
parameters again in the subsequent screen.
o If you create the report category '000000000', a selection screen is
generated according to report category '00000000'for all reports for
which a report category has not explicitly been assigned.
Assign Report Categories
In this step, you assign a report category to your reports.
Example
You have created your own report, for example ZPCTEST1, and would like
it to have the selection screen that corresponds to that of the
evaluation report for Payroll, which is assigned to report category
'__M00001'.
Assign report category '__M00001' to the report.
Requirements
You must have defined the Report Categories.
Standard settings
SAP Standard Reports:
In the standard system, reports are assigned a report category. If you
want to override these assignments, perform the activities described
here. If you want to assign report categories to standard reports using
SE38, this represents a modification.
Customer-Specific Reports:
For reports you have developed yourself, you can either assign report
categories by performing the activities described here or directly in SE38.
Recommendation
Only assign a report category if you have created your own reports or if
the selection screens in the standard system do not meet your
requirements.
Activities
1. Choose Edit -> New entries.
2. Perform the required assignment using the Program name and Report
category fields.
3. Save your entries.

Hi All,
In previous versions of SAP PI, SAP recommends the use of IDoc or Proxy over RFC mainly due to performance reasons, but with PI 7.1, RFCs can use AAE which significantly boost its processing.
So the question is, with PI 7.1, is the performance of RFC adapter using AAE good enough that is should be considered over IDocs (using IE) & Proxies (using IE)? Please provide elaborate reply.
Thanks,
Rahul>>>>>So the question is, with PI 7.1, is the performance of RFC adapter using AAE good enough that is should be considered over IDocs (using IE) & Proxies (using IE)? Please provide elaborate reply.
Answer: If your major objective is only the performance factor then you can go for AAE using RFC. But RFC's individual processing performance is slightly lower than idocs and proxy.
Though AAE monitoring is just only in RWB, But due to less persistence steps involved in the entire processing, RFC with AAE supercede other options.
IDOc using IE vs Abap Proxy using IE --- I would recommend only Abap Proxy using IE. Plus you get all the monitoring features here. -
Hi!
I have silverlight 3 installed with Visual studio 2008. installation is fine.
I have created a silvelight application including a test page.
In my test page I used the "object tag" to call my application as it is suggested since silverlight 3:
<object type="application/x-silverlight-2"
data="data:application/x-silverlight,"
width="450" height="220">
<param name="source" value="MySilverlightApplication.xap"/>
</object>
At the run time, using the test page my application runs as expected. But when i call the same application in another page i have created, nothing happens: the web page is blank. I wonder why it works with the test page created at the same time with the
silverlight application ( i have checked the radio button that required the test paged creation during the process of the silverlight application) and why it doesn't work with a page created separately.
Thank you for your help!
JoelHi Andy!
Hi Qimin!
Thank you for your helps. But i want to let you know that the html code i wrote in my post is just an example so I will complete my post with more information.
0- I have visual studio 2008 installed with silverlight 3.
1- I have created a web project with a master page (my master page has a content page )
2- I added a silvelight application: carousel.xap (during its creation I've accepted to add a test page: carouselTestPage.aspx)
3- I added a main page Home.aspx: which inherits from the master page created in step 1, then I call my silverlight application in this content page using the object tag.
Result of the tests during run time:
My silverlight application carousel.xap works fine when I test it with the
carouselTestPage.aspx.
But my silverlight application carousel.xap doesn't work with the main page I added to my web project. the web content page is blank.
Here below the script of the carouselTestPage.aspx
and for the Pages_Home:

Hi,
I have a request from our SRM Consultant to change the below objects to non-transportable objects. I would like to know the best process in handling this. It is not clear to me as to what objects these are. Some of them are tables, as I found out later. But other objects are not clear.
BBP_WS_VC - Define external call services. Used for definition of catalogue call structures.
q BBP_BACKEND_DEST - Definition of backend systems
q BBP_DET_LOGSYS - Define backend system for product category
q BBP_TARGET_OBJ - Determine target object in backend system
q BBP_DET_ACCT - Define G/L Account for product category and account assignment category.
q BBPV_SRC_DET
q BBPV_AVL_DET - Sourcing by Vendor List flag.
q TWPURLSVR - Logical web servers for logical systems
q Any R3TR SICF objects, which contain user names
q Any R3TR SMIM objects, typically images for the catalogue
thanks in advance,
AbdulHi
This is not recommended and best practice by SAP.
Any specific reasons - why you want to do this ?

Non-string objects as parameters to an applet
how can i pass non-string objects as parameters to an applet?
thanks in advance...those are some objects that i wroteThen, you could use Class.forName() method for your string parameters.
If you get the classes, then you can call newInstance() method on them to get objects.
Alternative way could be using your string parameter as index or keys for some
data structures that contains ready-made objects. -
How to manage non-SAP objects types with SAP Netweaver ?
I would like to know how it is possible to integrate into the SAP software configuration managment tools (NWDI CTS, CTS+...) non-SAP objects like shell scripts or SQL requests ?
These shell scripts are, for example:
- external host scheduler jobs
- general scripts for start/stop application
- parameters needed by application at the os level
My goal should to store into a DEV SAP system these objects, in order to take benefit of SE80 version management. So, it should be possible to create transport order in SE10 and to transport these non-SAP objects in test and production system.
Thank in advance for your answers.
Daniel Ouinthe standard functionality for this up until 4.72 is to call RFCs/BAPIs through a RFC binding library for the third party software, e.g. the language of your choice is PHP then you use the PHP RFC library found [here|http://saprfc.sourceforge.net/], if you have to connect from a .NET environment you might try to get the SAP .NET connector.
