ABAP Proxy - How to link a Business System

Dear Experts,
My scenarion is ECC6 to BW. From ECC6, I am planning to use ABAP proxies. A new PI7.0 has been installed.
In tocode RZ70 in ECC6, I have specified the SLD destination.
This has created a relavent technical system in the SLD for the ECC6 system.
Now when I write my abap code in ECC6 and use the proxies generated in tcode sproxy to create a message, how does it associate a sender business system with it?
How would the local IS in ECC6 and the central IS in PI7.0 would know what is the sender business system?
Is there a special configuration is SLD needs to be made to get this going?

Business System.
1.Goto Business Landscape->New Business System->Name the business system.

go to Scenario tab, Object -> New , Select the configuration scenario enter the configuration scenario name then save.
Expand Service without party ->Select the business system and right click click on next, next select your business systemd.
IF business system not appeared in ID..go to Environment -> Clear SLD data cache.
again try to assign the business system.

You have to do the configure/creation of the Business Systems & Technical Systems in SLD.Generally this is maintained by Basis team in the Project.If you are looking to learn how to create BS and TS in SLD

now How to link the Business Partner with the SAP User ID.

HI AP,
Maintain the business partner in role Internet User - BUP005.
Now assign the existing user to this BP .(you can make this assignment in tab "internet user'. Just enter the user name in the field User and save).
You can now see the link in table HRP1001.

SOAP--PI--ABAP Proxy-how to call this scenarion from third-party PeopleSoft

My scenario is:
Third-party Peoplesoft sending an Asynchronous XML message to PI through SOAP Adapter which will then be processed by ABAP proxy server.
I have everything in place (SDL,IR,ID & ABAP Proxy). I have created a SOAP tool that uses URL (http://host:port/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?channel=party:service:channel) and XML message to test the process - it works.
Now the problem is the Peoplefoft system guys need help to figure out how do they reach our system and this process.
per my understanding, I created a WSDL using ID>Tools>Define Web Service option and sent it to them hoping they will be able to use this WSDL to program their call to our system.
I also additionally sent them the SOAP client tool that i use to test the process that has default XML payload in it.
The only change i made in WSDL before sending to third-party is - replaced location tag from the actual URL that reaches sender SOAP adapter to the external URL that will be used by PeopleSOft system reach our network. I think our network guys are going to map this external url to internal URL.
Is there anything else i can do as a PI consultant to help Peoplesoft reach our network and hit the SOAP Adapter (SOAP sender adapter channel for my process).
I will Appreciate any ideas.

As a PI developer, ur only task is to provide the correct wsdl to the Peoplesoft guys. As u have changed the URL, there is nothing else to be done at ur end.
The SOAP Client user just have to use the wsdl and fill in the data. Before the communication, please make sure that there are no firewall restrictions.

How to share a business system

Hi experts,
I'm using "Configuration:Integration Builder(sappidev_PID_00)". I want to assign business system under "Service without party" in my scenarios.
In step 3, I need select a business system, but
You cannot use business systems that already exist as a business service as a business system service
, so I must create a new business system?
In the sap in our company,I found some scenarios are using the same business system.

Hi Mikenl,
To reuse the Business System, Right click and add the BS to the Scenario where you want to reuse it.
Regarding the client concept.. and Technical Systems....here it goes...
For each Business Systems we assign a Technical System.
When we create a TS we genarally make it as Third Party and can use this in many BS.
So Business System A and C both can be assigned the TS B.
There is no client that you need to create for third party TS.
For TS as ABAP we mention client which is the client number of the system that you are configuring.
Clients in SCC4 are created for different client logins in ABAP Stack of SAP PI and we generally never make any clients for Technical Systems.

ABAP Proxy how to catch exception send by PI Interface ?

Dear XI Expert,
I have Synchronous ABAP Proxy interface with exception. How to cacth the exception generated by PI ?
The standarc exception handler is :
CATCH cx_ai_system_fault INTO lo_system_fault.
        WRITE:/ 'System fault:'.
        WRITE:/ lo_system_fault->errortext.
        WRITE: 'While trying to update monitoring status in PI'.
        RETURN.
CATCH cx_ai_application_fault .
        WRITE:/ 'Application fault encountered. While trying to update monitoring status in PI'.
        RETURN.
i have another 2 additional exception generated by the sender :
FM_JPROXY_READFILE_FILENOTFOUND
FM_JPROXY_READFILE_IO_ERROR
Please advise how to add this to to my exception handling.

it does not seem to be a cx_ exception but try to catch the root CX_ROOT and see if it caught

Client ABAP Proxy : how to know which program is calling that service interface proxy

Hi All,
I have prepared some client proxy in ECC to communicate with PI.
But, if I am not wrong, unlike server proxy which is written directly in the class Provider class in SPROXT transaction, in client proxy we write abap code to trigger proxy in SE38 .
My question is : If I am in SPROXY and looking at any outbound SI, of which proxy is already generated, then how can in SE38 can I find which program is triggering that interface or proxy?

No link between business system and technical system.

SLD on the Integration tab of the business system, there appears to be no link to the technical system assigned to that business system. But if you go to the technical system, you do see the correct business system.

If you are using an SLD of Version 700 with Support Package Level 12, it is a display bug of SAP XI. Import patch 01 of the software component LIFECYCLE MGMT TOOLS 7.00 with Support Package Level 12, it will be solved.

ABAP PROXY - how to load a new field into SAP SNC system

I am also curious about the proxy process. Please let me know if you know of a post that has mentioned this before.
We have to customize our Delivery Schedule Notification proxy. I already regenerated the standard one into a Z proxy name. I already put in my custom code to load Z fields into a Z table.
Here is my new problem. The users wants more additional fields.
Here is the standard proxy generated layout for this structure:

Thank you for the information. I need to clarify my situation.
I understand there is a PROVIDER CLASS. Within that PROVIDER CLASS there is a METHOD. Inside that METHOD there is a place for me to put my code in. I have already done that work for a previous requirement. I moved Z fields to a Z table.
My new requirement has a field SUPPYING_VENDOR that was inserted into one of the SAP structures. It was placed next to VENDOR_PARTY.
Here are my steps of execution:
1. Go to transaction /N/SCA/ICH_S (SNC Supplier View)
2. Click on RELEASE
3. Click on RELEASE OVERVIEW
4. Click on GO
5. Click on DETAILS
6. Click on the SHIP-FROM LOCATION tab
The SHIP-FROM LOCATION field is currently being populated by the VENDOR_PARTY field from the proxy. This is done automatically by SAP.
1. How do I find the table and field name for that field? This is in the Supply Network Collaboration screen, not normal SAP transaction.
2. How do I get that SUPPLYING_VENDOR data to populate SHIP-FROM LOCATION instead of VENDOR_PARTY?

How does ABAP client proxy determine the sender business system

When we use ABAP client proxy to send a message in XI-SOAP format to the integration engine, how does the client proxy determine what is the sender business system, i.e. how does it know what value it should insert in the sender service field in the SOAP envelop.
For example, at first, the business system X8A_105 corresponds to the technical system X8A_105, so when the client proxy sends out a message, the sender service is X8A_105. Then I delete the business system X8A_105 in the SLD, and create a new business system that is associated with the technical system X8A_105.when the client proxy sends out a message, the sender_service is still X8A_105, why?

Execute the following function module in your business system and see what name it returns..
LCR_GET_OWN_BUSINESS_SYSTEM.
You can always debug the code inside the above FM to find out how it gets the business system name...
I think the issue should be related to cache. I would also suggest you to logoff from your business system and then login again.

How do ABAP Proxy and XI adapter work?

Hi everybody,
I have a general question about the ABAP proxy and XI adapter.
In order to use the ABAP proxy and XI adapter, I must configure the HTTP Destination between the R/3 system and the XI server. I must also maintain the SLD.
After several hours configurations with our administrator, it failed. At least the HTTP Destinations on both servers don't work correctly. We got always HTTP error message. But a scenario with an ABAP Receiver proxy works! It is really strange and laughable. We're very happy about that but don't know why and what happened. Today we tested the ABAP Sender proxy, it doesn't work.
So we decide to ask the XI experts in this forum to give us a general lessen about the ABAP proxy: how it works, why we should create the HTTP destinations, how do the destinations work and so on.

Once you create the interface in XI, you generate the proxies on your R3 system.
Client Proxies -->
This is done for outbound interfaces. You generate the proxy and then write a report that fills in the proxy class with the data and pushes it to XI.
Server proxies -->
Generated for inbound interfaces. Generate the proxy and write the implementation for the exectue method that deals with the data sent from XI to the R3 system

we create http destiantio because in proxies , adapter is not use so who is goin to send the message to integration server ...by creating http destinatio we create integration engine which send messg to IS . then messg is routed .and all

ABAP Proxy Doesnt work in PI 7.0

We have strange problem with ABAP Proxy under PI system
We are getting proxy communication error in PI 7.0 (NOT FROM Business system).
After reading a lot of threads & notes, I performed all the necessary checks, but still no luck.
--> When I click on integration builder from SPROXY T-code it popups correct XI Screen
--> Following parameters are maintained properly
com.sap.aii.connect.repository.name: Server (for example, pwdf0436)
com.sap.aii.connect.repository.httpport: Port (for example, 1080)
com.sap.aii.connect.repository.contextroot: Root (for example, rep)
com.sap.aii.applicationsystem.serviceuser.name: User
com.sap.aii.applicationsystem.serviceuser.pwd: Password
--> All the RFC like AI_RUNTIME_<SID>, LCRSAPRFC & SAPSLDAPI & SLD_UC etc working fine
Following reports are NOT working

Has the ABAP system been configured as specified in the XI configuration guide (Section on how to configure a business system)?
This would include Integration Engine Configuration in transaction SXMB_ADM, configuration in transaction SLDAPICUST and RFC destinations in SM59.
