ABAP Query SUB-TOTALS by Month

Hi,
I am making an ABAP Query and I am trying to create sub-totals per month.
EX.          Quantity         Date
                    1           01/01/2008
                    2           01/02/2008
sub-total        3
                    1          02/01/2008
sub-total        1
does anyone know how i can do this? (create sub-totals based on the date field)

I dont think standard ALV subtotalling will do like this. But there is one workaround
I would suggest you to have one more column named Month. In that column save the month for that row. Then do the subtotalling based on that field Month instead of date field.

Could any one help me in this? I created an ABAP Query for the combination of T.codes MB51 & MB52. When I see the total qty for the item which has GR and Goods return document.........say first by 101 I rerceive 5 nos and using 122 returns 3 nos. Here Query shows total is 8nos instead of 2 nos.
The same way correnponding price also shows for 8nos instead 2 nos.

You can use MSEG-SHKZG field for +(plus)/-(minus) indicator where 'H' is -(minus) and 'S' is +(plus).

ABAP Query : code to change the display

Hi all,
I have created an Abap Query and generated it. I see the output now as follows:
Bill.doc Item Net value Total amt
900000 10 100 600
900000 20 200 600
900000 30 300 600

900002 20 200 500
Now I want the total amt to be displayed only once for each billing document only for the first item and for the other line items it should be blank as shown below.

Can someone please explain me where and how I should write the code to get this working?

I am getting the total amount from a field which exists in one of the tables which i used in the abap query.
the total amount is appearing correctly...i dont need to modify that. i just need to display it only once for each billing doc for the first item.
i want to know where i should do the coding...i mean in the Infoset or the Abap Program that gets created when i generate the infoset.

Picking Month from Date in ABAP query

Dear All,
I want to pick month from date in a abap query but it is giving error "BDTER" is not a valid comparison operator. comparison operator.
Where i am wrong my query is below.
SELECT SUM( BDMNG ) AS BDMNGT FROM RESB INTO CORRESPONDING FIELDS OF IT_MRP
WHERE MONTH( BDTER ) = '12'.

but while compiling it is giving error Field "BDTER+4(2)" unknown.

You can accomplish that using decode with the grouping function. It returns 1 when that column passed as argument was grouped (or is in some total) and 0 otherwise.

Sub-total and Total for a column having checkboxes in WD ABAP ALV

Hello Experts,
I have used ALV in We bdynpro ABAP to display my output. There are 2 columns that are checkboxes in Output. I want a sub-total and total for those two columns. I know tht total and sub-total functionality is available only for numeric fields .
Is there any other indirect way by which i can achieve the same ?

Customised sub-total via UNION query - how to exclude from totals?

I have a client requirement that a couple of companies have their own sub-total in a report, a treatment which applies to no other companies in their group.
I have achieved this via a union all, but they also want a total of companies.
Is there anyway to emulate a Grand Total, other than another union query such that the double count is not double counted?

only solution which i can think of is to create another union request for the grand total.. this way you wont add up your sub totals twice..

i want to handle one complex thing in oracle query.
i have a grouping in my oracle query.
i want to do sub total for each group in query and after that i want to subtract one group sub total from previous group subtotal ?
so how can i handle this in oracle query ?

Interesting requirement.
I wonder why are you not using these calculation during the display time. If it is acceptable then you can try using the custom formula with the running total combination in crystral report to achieve to get the required results.

Difference between 2 sub-totals in SAP query

Is there any possibility to find out the difference between 2 sub-totals and display it at the bottom of the ALV output( like total) in SAP Query using SQ01.

In the same way as Grand total, Is there any possibility to find out the difference between the 2 sub-totals and display at the bottom after the Grand Totals row.
Please let me know if there is any possibility for the same.

Just to update on my question.
In the sub-totals line you can see that there is 20,00 INR value which is summation of the above fields present in individual line numbers above. And the same way for the rest of the fields as well.
After calculating the sub-totals in this manned, I need to find out the difference between the subtotals and display it at the bottom of the output.
Please let me know if this is possible.

if i want to get only the employees which entered my organization during the last month where should i add the ABAP code, under which section => extras -> code. i have there several options - data, initialization, at selection-screen output etc, what to choose??????????

Wrong sequence in selection screen generated by ABAP Query

Hi,
I am developing a query to display the data in the view.
My query has 8 selection fields totally.
As part of my requirement I have added selection parameter in the
selections tab of the infoset and maintained the sequence as 9.
Inspite of maintaining the sequence number as 9 in the infoset, It is
appearing first in the selection screen of the query.
I tried putting different numbers in the sequence number, but even it
is appearing first in the selection screen.
Can you please let me know how to display the selections declared in
the infoset as per the sequence required.

Actually what happen when you declare your own fields in ABAP query . you have to care about the sequence . As an example if youre selecting lets say state name , you have two variables
1-state
2- land
for state you have to select land first , if your state is first and land is 2nd it gave you the error of sequence .
Because you have to get data in land first in order to get state specific to the land .
it should be
1-Land
2-State
Just see the your fields , Im sure youre missing that .
You can also see the NO ( field ) in Query ( Sq03 ) . where you can define the seqence on selection.

SSRS 2008 Work order report , in sub total donot want to add the 0 level in ( how to add the expression )

working in Work order report, this report has different level , for example
0 level transaction
1 level transaction
in subtotal don't want to add 0 level transaction,
when I did the sub total it added all the level , so in sub total amount double up because of that
how to add the expression so I can the level 0 take out from sub total , so it does not include in sub total
