ABAP Web Dynpro ALV - User Defined Functions

Dear All,
I don't know if my question is worth a new topic, but since I haven't found any appropriate answer by now I want you to ask the following:
We're using the ALV web dynpro component to manage data and have added user functions in order to display buttons for saving data and adding new lines.
Everything worked fine for us until some users adjusted the default view of the table by using the default 'Settings' option to hide some columns.
The problem we're facing now is that the labels of the additional buttons - which were set up by use of OTR texts on initialisation of the dynpro - are blank until the user navigates on the dynpro or changes some cell contents. After that labels are shown correctly again.
The problem is that I cannot simulate this dynamically, neither I can narrow down the source of the problem at all.
A prompt reply would be very much appreciated

Hi Eddy,
Could you please create a CSN ticket for this problem, the component is BC-WD-CMP-ALV.
Please enter all relevant data and access to your system to the message.
Thanks,
Regina

  • ABAP Web Dynpro, ALV, Cardinality 0..n, Remove Select/Deselect All

    Hi Everyone
I am developing a new application using ABAP Web Dynpro. I am using ALV. I want to give the user the option to select either 0 or multiple rows in the ALV grid. However, I want to hide the standard Select All/Deselect All push button that appears in the top left hand corner. This is because we do not want the user to simply select all and then click on a pushbutton to complete the process. If they wish to do this, they must manually select each item first of all. Anyone have any ideas? I've looked at the underlying ABAP classes for WD4A, but cannot find a method to do this.
Thanks in advance for your help!!
    Jon

    Hello,
To hide the buttons that appear at the top left of ALV, do the following:
    lo_model->if_salv_wd_std_functions~set_edit_check_available(
        EXPORTING value  = abap_false )   .
      lo_model->if_salv_wd_std_functions~set_edit_append_row_allowed(
          EXPORTING  value  = abap_false )  .
      lo_model->if_salv_wd_std_functions~set_edit_insert_row_allowed(
        EXPORTING  value  = abap_false )   .
      lo_model->if_salv_wd_std_functions~set_edit_delete_row_allowed(
        EXPORTING  value  = abap_false )   .
      lo_model->if_salv_wd_std_functions~set_pdf_allowed( abap_false ).
      lo_model->if_salv_wd_std_functions~set_view_list_allowed( abap_false ).
    lo_model->if_salv_wd_std_functions~SET_EXPORT_ALLOWED( abap_false ).
    Hope this helps!

  • ABAP Web Dynpro ALV: event for "tabel selection menu" needed

    Hi all,
we need to react on the "table selection menue" control in our ALV grids. We found, that event "lead_select" is triggerd, if single lines are selected and if "delete selection" from the table selection menu is used.
But if the "select all" item is used, the event is not triggered.
Is there another event we can use? Does anybody know a sensible workaround for this problem?
    Thanks  and regards

perhaps it's better to post your question in the WebDynpro ABAP forum:

  • Function keys in abap web dynpro

In webgui and BSP you could use function keys (F1-F12) from keyboard to trigger action. Is there any way( legal or unlegal) to do this in abap web dynpro also?
Most of mobile (pda) systems works via function keys..
    KK

I should have added this.  Here is a screen shot of how it works in 7.0 EnhP1.  It is simply a new property added to certain UI elements:

  • Get portal user logon details from abap web dynpro

    Hi all,
I am developing an abap web dynpro which will be added via an iview to our ees/mss portal. What i need to know is how do i get the current user logon details in my web dynpro! i.e. if a user is loged into the portal using personnel number 111111 i need to be able to capture this value so that i can retrieve hr data for this personel number! any information would be much appreciated!
    Regards
    Mart

    Hi Mart,
You can pass "iv_user=<User.LogonUid>" as application parameter in iview.
add iv_user parameter in HANDLEDEFAULT method of default window of webdynpro component.
    that's it.
when u run your webdynpro application, you can have value of portal logged on userid in iv_user.
hope this will help u a lot.

  • Report Varaint in ABAP web dynpro

    Hello All,
I am currently working on an ABAP Web dynpro development.
I am developing a Report, where the requirement is to have Variants (same as that of GUI reports).
The user can select the particular variant, which will populate the selection screen.
I am new to ABAP Web dynpro and am unaware whether Standard functionality of Variants is available for Web dynpro?
Can you please tell me whether Variants is available for Web dynpro?
    Thanks and Regards,
    Pratik

    Hi Pratik.
You could define the select options in a table per variant.
Depending on the selected variant you read the corresponding selection fields
from that table and populate the select options fields in wddoinit.
Then just call submit report afterwards.
AFAIK there is no standard functionality for that.
    Cheers,
    Sascha

  • Abap web dynpro and portal events

First off, a little introduction: My name is Martin Kroppen, I am an Abap developer for SAP Netherlands, and I am currently involved in a project for hospitals to built a portal. For this, I have created 2 Abap web-dynpros, and then impemented the views as iviews in an EP. What I want to achieve is that the input view triggers the display view on a second page, and the data is shown for the values in the input view (all in the same browser window).
I am using the portal integration manager for this,  with the method for relative navigation.
The navigation is working fine, only problem is that I don't know how to handle the business parameters that I send over.
    My questions are:
    1. is this the correct way for navigating between abap webdynpro iviews in the portal?
    2. what is the correct way to read the business parameters into my context of the second Abap WD application?
I tried the solution that is described below, I could not get it to work correctly.
If you define BUSINESS_PARAMETERS as application parameters in your Web
Dynpro application and the parameter names start with &#8243;APP&#8243;, they will
automatically be forwarded to the startup plugs of the Web Dynpro application –
provided they are marked as startup parameters. In this case, keep in mind that
the iView/page used as the navigation target must be assigned to the user role.
If it is not, navigation cannot be triggered.
    Hope someone can help me…

  • ABAP Web Dynpro - OfficeControl - Word Integration

    Hi,
i have a problem concerning the office control of the abap web dynpro.
I have a textedit box on the view of a web dynpro. Now i want to transfer the data from the textedit box to the word document. I used the "IOS_TEST_WORDPROCESSING" as an example.
Everything works fine, if there is only one line of text in the textedit box. If i put for example three lines in it, word opens and now i have the choice for a data seperator.
The word document contains only one field as a "MergeField" like the field of the word document used in the "IOS_TEST_WORDPROCESSING".
Could anyone give me a hint how to solve the problem.
    With best regards
    Markus

I have the same problem. I want to integrate an ABAP Web Dynpro in GP, but there is no way to implement an Interface from GP like it is in JAVA. That means you cannot maintain input , output parameters and give a status back to GP. Seems that in ABAP the WD is not integrated in GP.
I went to the relevant developement departement an they gave me the following answer.
In GP you can maintain input parameters for a ABAP Web Dynpro Application manually which will be displayed in the apllication UI URL . Then you need a function module to map the input parameters inside the url to the ABAP Web Dynpro context. Output parameters are not possible in GP with ABAP Web Dynpro. It is also not possible to give back the processing state to GP from your ABAP web Dynpro Application like it is in JAVA. Only the GP framework provides a button to complete this Step manually by the user.

  • ABAP Web Dynpro Window Inactive After Closing Popup Window

    Hello ABAP'ers
I have a custom ABAP Web dynpro applications that uses multiple tiers of popup windows.  This application was functioning properly in our ECC6.0, Basis release 7.00 Service level 15 environment.  However, we are currently installing EHP4 and moving or basis release to 7.01 service level 5. In this new environment, when multiple popup window tiers are closed simultaneously, the underlining window is not re-activated.
    Here's a more specific description:
The application starts with a control panel window presenting a series of buttons.  Selecting one of these buttons activates a modal (I know... all web dynpro popups are modal) popup window for the purpose of maintaining some object.  If the user attempts to exit this window without saving the changes, another popup window appears asking if they want to save their changes.  If they say no, both the popup window asking the question and the popup maintenance window are closed, thus returning the user to the switchboard.
The problem is that none of the functionality on the switchboard is active. the user must manually refresh the URL to "reactivate" the switchboard.
When only a single popup window is closed, the underlying window is properly reactivated.  The problem only occurs when multiple popups are closed together.
Has anybody else seen this occur? Any ideas / notes around to correct it?
    Any info is greatly appreciated.
    R/

  • Detail Button in Web Dynpro ALV

    Hi at all,
when I create an ALV in Standard ABAP there is a small "Detail" button on the left side of the button row without any additional complex programming.
How can I get this button in Web Dynpro ALV?
    Dirk

The standard ALV Component in Web Dynpro doesn't have this features.  It wouldn't be too difficult to add manually.  You could simply bind a custom view to the lead selection of the same context you are using in the ALV and use the form wizard to generate the UI elements.  It isn't quite as nice becuase it woudl require a few manual steps for each usage of the ALV where you want this functionality.

  • ABAP Web Dynpro v/s BSP

    Hi All
Can you pls tell the difference between ABAP Web Dynpro v/s BSP.
    Regards
    DM

    Hi madan....
    <u><b>Web Dynpro for ABAP</b></u>
    <i><b>Features</b></i>
Web Dynpro ABAP is the SAP standard UI technology for developing Web applications in the ABAP environment. It consists of a runtime environment and a graphical development environment with special Web Dynpro tools that are integrated in the ABAP Workbench (SE80).
Web Dynpro offers the following advantages for application developers:
The use of declarative and graphical tools significantly reduces the implementation effort
*Web Dynpro supports a structured design process
*Strict separation between layout and business data
*Reuse and better maintainability by using components
*The layout and navigation is easily changed using the Web Dynpro tools
*Stateful applications are supported – that is, if the page is changed, the data that is required remains intact so that you can re-access the data in the entire application context.
Note that stateless applications are not possible.
*Automatic data transport using data binding
    *Automatic input check
*Automatic operation of the Web Dynpro application using the keyboard
    User interface accessibility is supported
*Full integration in the reliable ABAP development environment
    <u><b>BSP</b></u>
BSP applications are standalone Web applications with presentation, workflow and application logics that are self-contained in terms of function.
In many ways, BSPs are similar to the server page technologies (xSP)from other software manufacturers, such as Active Server Pages (ASP)from Microsoft and Java Server Pages (JSP) from Sun Microsystems.
This technology has become relatively widespread in the field of Web development thanks to its various advantages.

    Hi Experts,
I'm developing an abap web dynpro application, and at the end of a text I need to have a link that opens the outlook for sending and email, do you know how can this be done with ABap Web dynpro.
    Regards and thanks.
    Fona

It should be noted that just relying on the browser handling for the [url mailto: reference|http://www.w3.org/TR/WD-html40-970708/htmlweb.html] does not guarantee handling by any specific email application. It is completely up to the browser implementation - The HTML 4.0 spec does not specify any handling other than:
MAILTO URLs have the following syntax:
    mailto:email-address
User agents may support MAILTO URL extensions that are not yet Internet standards (e.g., appending subject information to a URL with the syntax "?Subject=my%20subject" where any space characters are replaced by "%20").
Then again - given that WDA supports so few browsers (user agents!), you could probably get around the different support in each them in a reasonably common way.
To ensure that it is MS Outlook you are launching and potentially pass more data into that email you'll need to make use of the [ACFExecute functionality|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp1/helpdata/en/47/b91539878a2d67e10000000a42189c/frameset.htm] and then also the [command-line interface of Outlook.|http://www.brighthub.com/office/collaboration/articles/21840.aspx]
