About back-end adapter and IDoc

Hi everybody!
I was watching in the FAQ of Mobile 7.1 about the possibility to use IDOC as a mechanism to push data to DOE, but this document only says: "IDocs are supported only for back-end-triggered scenarios" and provides a link to configure ALE between the backend and DOE, but the link doesn't work. (Somebody has this information on a link that works?)
I'm trying to find any information, blog, article, how-to guide, however I cant found anything. Anybody has documentation about how to configurate and implement a backend-adapter to push data from the backend through IDOC? Any information will be welcome.
Thanks in advance.
Best regards,
Simon.

Hi San,
You will have to look after this in Tansaction SE80. Open the BSP application cProjects, and find the appropriate view. (The naming convetion will help a little). Open the view tab: layout >> e.G. progAssignedPha.bsp Here you will find what BSP elements it consists of. You will find the
<htmlb:tableView and <htmlb:inputField ... elements.
Here you will find the information you are looking for.
As easy as in SAPGui you can not find out this information.
Regards.

  • Question about Backing Up apps and using Migration tool

Since installing Leopard on my G5 PPC, I have been having a strange problem with the sleep, screen saver. Anytime the system goes into screensaver or sleep, it will not come back and will be frozen. Needless to say I was told by the Mac Genius guys that I need to do a clean install.
So my real question now is about backing up all my apps and then using the migration tool to bring them back into the new install. I was going to attempt to use Carbon Copy Cloner on a second internal drive (Time Machine has never worked for me on my Lacie 500gb.) Once I have a full bootable copy, I will do a clean install (erase and install option) on my original drive, then I guess I am going to use the migration tool.
    So my questions are:
    1) Does this strategy seem like it will work?
    2) Is the migration tool straightforward? IE - Can I pick and choose what to put back on the new install?
    3) Any pitfalls that I should be aware of?
I have already backed up my docs and data to the external, but I have so many programs with plugins installed that getting my apps back the way they are is essential to me.
    Thanks.

Remember Time Machine is designed to do constant, incremental backups of your HDD. If you delete something from the internal HDD of the Mac it will no longer be backed up to the external HDD and will eventually be deleted from the backup archive as time passes and TM keeps doing its backups.
What will probably be a better solution is to simply drag-n-drop the entire iTunes folder to an external HDD for backup and use that as the main iTunes library. The drawback to this is that to play the music you'll need to have the external HDD connected. Unless your plan is not to delete all the music from your MBP, just some of it.

  • Refresh table and display the records after insertion of data from back end

    Hi Experts,
    JDEV 11.1.2.1
I have a useacase which needs data to be inserted from oracle back end procedure and displayed in a ADF Table Component, when a button is pressed.
is this possible?..if yes , how?
Is view object will automatically refreshed and fetches newly created(from back end) rows?
    thankz in advance

    Hi user707,
    thankz for ur reply....
i think after executing a procedure you want to call commit operation. better you can perform this.getDbtransaction().commit In Application Module;yes i want to commit transaction after executing back end procedure using preparedStatement.Procedure is for inserting data into same table , which used for creating VO and Read only ADF Table.Procedure is executed fine, but newly created records are not getting into ADF table.Once i did commit opeartion inside back end procedure, whole records are getting into ADF Table.
Is there any way to get whole records without doing Commit operation inside Back end procedure?

  • Sharepoint recovery 1 front-end one back-end

I have a simple SharePoint environment with a SharePoint 2010 front end and a dedicated SQL back-end. Both virtualized on Hyper-V 2008 R2 host. There are no complicated apps - it is just a file serving SharePoint implementation.
The VHD for the front end server (it only had one drive) got corrupted. I have an export of the complete server from the 29th December, including the VHD.
The back end (SQL and all the databases) if unaffected.
I tried creating a new VM with the three day old VHD from the export, but it does not seem to correctly connect to the back end.
I also have DPM 2012 backups of the whole thing systems, though they are made via the SharePoint front end.
With a whole panoply of solutions I can:
    1. import the exported front end and see if that works better than just re-creating the machine (GUIDs and all that)
    2. Forget the export of the front end on the 29th and do a fully fledged DR from DPM
    Any other ideas?
    CarolChi

One thing to note is that SharePoint does not support VM backups (that is, snapshots or full backups of the VHD itself). Since your VHD is older than the data within the Configuration database, it is best to start with a new front end.
You should be able to install SharePoint up to the same patch level on the new front end, "join" the existing farm, and then forcibly remove the defunct SharePoint server from Central Administration.

  • Two SRM systems connected to One back end system

    Hi..
Note: I have posted this message earlier ......but couldn't find that. I am just reposting the message:
In our quality environment, we have two SRM and two backend systems. One for testing purpose and other for training purpose. We are planning to remove one back end system and connect both the SRM systems to one backend system.
    1. Is it possible to have this landscape?
    2. In SRM & R/3 we can define two RFC connnections but from R/3 side, I am not sure how the system will determine the respective RFC connection during GR or any other process.
    3. Are there any other difficulties?
We are in SRM 4.0 using Extended classic scenario. We are using SRM for processing shopping cart, Po and confirmations.
    Please advise.
    Thanks.

    Hi Prashanth,
    is  very much possible.
for this you need to configure the partner profiles.
    need to define port
need to configure inbound paramters and outbound parameters.
    we20 - create partner profiles.
define outbound parameters and inbound parameters of the message type.
    we21 - define port.
    under Transactional RFC.
and create a distribution model and add message type.
revert back to me if any problem still you find.

  • Month end accural and Year end accural processings.

    Hi Experts,
Can you please give me an idea about month end accural and year end accural proecess in payroll?? What are the responsibilities of functional consultants in accural processing??
    Thanks,
    Kanna.

    Hi,
The purpose of the accrual process is to recognize payroll costs in the month in which they were incurred, i.e. when the employee actually performs the work.
This accrual process will result in a more accurate presentation of monthly and year-end payroll expenses and liabilities.
The accrual is calculated in HRMS and posts an entry in FI (debit department payroll expense and credit accrued liability) to account for the portion of earnings owed but not paid at month end.
The accrual is calculated as follows:
The system determines the fraction of the payrolls that were earned but not physically paid in the current month. This amount is calculated based on the number of days in each payroll that were earned in the month, as a fraction of the total number of days in each payroll (10 days for all biweekly payrolls). If an entire payroll was earned and not paid, then the fraction would be 1 (ie.100% accrual). Some months may have to accrue a fraction of one payroll, other months we may accrue more than one payroll.

  • How to connect to MySQL back end in Syclo Agentry?

    Hello All,
I have worked on Syclo agentry with Non-SAP back end (MsSQL) and with SAP back end(Work Manager App).
But now I wanted to connect with MySQL Back end, I know that it is possible, because Syclo can deal with Oracle,IBM Maximo, MsSql and SAP(ERP,CRM...etc)
But how to connect with MySQL Back end. What is the procedure and the Configuration changes.
Could anyone help me out to find the way.
    Thanks,
    Swaroopa.

    Swaroopa,
You may also need to create/define your database globals if you are using SDML database tags in your queries.  For example  <<database.getSystemTime>> will evaluate differently for MySQL compared to SqlServer or Oracle
You will want to create a mysql_sd.ini file containing the various database SDML tags and their corresponding MySql values.  I would suggest copying the sqlserver_sd.ini and then update based on mysql syntax.
You will then want to update your Agentry.ini queryConstantFiles entry for the mySql backend settings to point to your new filename.

  • Backing Up Photos and Music

This question really can be put in any of the discussion areas but I thought I would start here. I have a question about backing up iTunes and iPhoto Libraries. When I try backing up the libraries (or just recently putting a photo album on my daughter's Video iPod) the process reaches a point when the "wheel" just sits and spins and doesn't seem to be going any where. This goes on for 10 - 15 minutes before we try and force quit the application. Does anyone know a reason for this ?

  • Inconsistency between Bex and Back end

Hello, I have a query about bex issue. I have few fields in my DSO/Cube which has data showing correctly in the back end but in Bex it shows partial of those values. like if i have something like this:
    ZField
    000000000000000000008
It shows correct in DSO table but in Bex it only shows the zeros. do you know why and how to get this to show the whole field value?
    Thanks.
By the way this is a characteristic and not keyfigure.

    Hi Vekant,
If you have not did any speecific thing at query level then value should be shown correctly.
Please try this once and check.
Create new test query on your data target drag and droup your charecteristic.please execute your test query and see if you are able to see the correct value.

  • What is BW Front-end and Whats BW Back-end? Technica ? Functional?

    Hi Gurus,
Can some one throw light on the diff between a BW Front-end and BW BAck-end? How will u diff the responsibilities of a Functional BW Consultant and Technical BW Consultant?
    thanks
    kishore karnati

    Hi,
BW Front end is the one that deals with reporting. Eg: BEx
BW back end is the one that deals with the components that stores data which is used for the reporting purpose.
    Eg: R3
Functional consultant comes into picture when there is a need to understand the functional aspects of a requirement, say for example, you have a requirement to use Sales Order in your BW application, as a pure BW person, you wont know what a Sales Order is about. A functional consultant has the ability here to map the sales order requirement in the BW application. This means that, he knows what field and what table this sales order relates to. This way, a functional consultant maps the user requirements to the technical detail in the system.
A pure BW consultant is one who knows how to setup data extraction from source system , how to build various components in a BW system, how to schedule a load, how to troubleshoot in case of any issues in the BW application.
    Hope this helps..
    Assign points if this helps...
    Thanks,
    Raj

  • Creating a connection between the GUI and a program's back end

I have created a program (over 50 classes) and am currently a little confused as to how I should connect the back end of my program (the real functionality) to my front end (the GUI). Currently I am thinking about using a list of event listeners in my back end that will announce when certain events have completed and thus front end can handle the updates accordingly.
But I want to ensure that the back end doesn't "know" about the front end. In other words, I would like to ensure that the back end and the front end are as independent/modular as possible.
Can anyone make some suggestions besides event listeners?
    Thanks,
    Timmers

From what I am able to ascertain from your post, you would advocate using EventListeners in the back end (in same VM) to inform the GUI of changes?
Is this the commonly accepted way of communicating your back end functionality to your front-end (GUI)?
I've read that all EventListeners are part of a single thread. So what happens if two events occur simulataneously in the back-end. Do those events get queued or do some of them get lost?
    Thanks,
    Tim
If the back-end changes state asynchronously to the
front-end GUI (ie does work in background threads and
then notifies the front-end when something happens),
then you should make it send events when this happens.
The basic concept is the same for CORBA, RMI, JINI,
or running everything in the local VM.
To do this you define a set of events (or maybe you
    can use the java.beans.PropertyChangeEvent) and
listener interfaces. The front-end then registers to
receive events (probably via an addXXXListener()
method in the back-end). You would have to have a
class (or classes) in the front-end that implemented
the event listener interfaces to receive the events.
If you are using a distributed technology (CORBA, RMI,
JINI, ...) the concept is the same, but the event
    mechanisms are slightly different.
To notify the back-end of state changes in the
front-end you probably can just do plain old method
calls from the front-end to the back-end.

  • Connection between CRM back end and ASP front end website for Ecommerce

    Hi All,
I want to establish the connection between a ASP website and CRM back end server(we are replacing th existing ERP back end system with SAP CRM ).
I want to know whether I have to go with XI or any other connectors provided by SAP to establsih the communication between the existing ASP website and CRM back end server..
Can anyone please help me out.
    Thank you,

Okay here is the general concept for your scenario:
-You will call standard/custom RFC's(could be BAPI's) in the CRM system from the existing application.
-You will need to write a new model layer in your ASP application that calls the RFC layer in CRM
-You decide what data you want to use from CRM in your application
Let's assume at minimum you will want to use the product master, business partner master, and business transactions.  You will need RFC's/BAPI's for every interaction point where you will consume/publish data to CRM.
So when an user creates an order from your e-commerce site, you will need to support saving an order in CRM.  This is example of how you need to map out each function in your existing site to a part of the CRM system.  Since we don't know what your site currently does, this is something you would have to do.
Once you have mapped out the business level data to the CRM system, then you can evaluate where you will need a BAPI and/or RFC call.  Once that is done, then you can look at the CRM system and see what standard pieces can be called.  Then everything else is custom development.  Your ASP application will call CRM via RFC.
It is possible to do what you want to do, but it is going to require a lot mapping work and a fair amount of development effort to integrate the two pieces.  I don't know if you might be better off looking at the SAP Internet Sales Solution instead so you could focus only customizing that application, instead of worrying about an integration problem.  It just depends on how much special functionality your existing e-commerce site has today.
My general recommendation would be for you to hire a consultant that has done an SAP e-commerce project using SAP CRM in the past and let them guide you on the implementation issues.  An on-site resource could better answer your "high-level" questions.
However if you have more questions please ask and I will try to answer to the best of my knowledge.
    Good luck,
    Stephen

  • Regarding connection between front end HTML and back end SQL 7.0

    Hi!!
I am working on the project 'ERM'. I have designed 12 forms using HTML. Can u please give me brief idea how to establish the connection between a back end and front end i.e. between HTML and SQL 7.0. If possible can u provide me the source code for the same.
I will be very thankful to you.
    Thanks,
    Jigar.

    Read up about multi-tier applications.
You need servlet and JSPs for the server-side presentation layer, some classes for the business logic, and some mor for the persistence layer either using JDBC or some framework like Hibernate.

  • Coldfusion back-end, AngularJS front-end, and Security

The company I work for is building an application in which security is of the utmost importance.  We're really hoping to use Angular as the client-side application, and we're exploring how best to create our back-end in ColdFusion (which we've used for a few years now).
I understand that only so much security can exist in the front-end of the app, and that the bulk of the work needs to happen on the server.  But I'm really unsure about how to move forward in that regard.  From what I've read, it sounds like we'll need some kind of Authentication Token to be created on login and stored on the backend.  This token should come along with every http request, and the server can then decide on the validity of the request.
Does this sound about right?  And if so, are there best practices for implementing it?
Any resources that might shed more light on the topic would be HUGELY appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Jonathan

Not sure if this is the best place to ask, as its a java forum but I though I would give it a try!
ThanksSimplest way would be to use web services. It is new thing for me to learn...
How efficient to do it compared to all in one either C# or java? I guess it would be slower.
Either C# or java can handle the job. Why both? I don't get it.It all depends on how big the teams are and how much "separation of concerns" you are looking for. In enterprise architecture what i aim to do is try to give the development groups freedom to use whatever technology they feel best suits their need...BUT...if they want to talk to other systems and vice versa, they have to follow certain standards (SOAP, REST etc). Architect the lines, not the boxes. If you are not looking for separation of concerns, sure build out everything in one technology..but keep it mind future changes.Thank,
It is good thing to learn. I used to work with java front end calling Cobol back end (using transactions)
I know C# and java can talk by SOAP or web services but only wondered about the reason.
If I am going to design everything new, one technology is the answer.
