About Jsp Model---

I want to add some Jsp Model into my project , if so I can do my job faster. For example: I want to create a model to display the record of the database table.
But I don't know how to begin.
Where has the example and the document about it? Who can help me?
Thanks in advance!

  • Explain about the Models...

    Hi friends...
    Can anybody explain about the models in webdynpro, and also explain about its types as well as its functions....
    Thanks in advance...
    GS

    Hi SatishKumar,
    As WD is based on the MVC paradigm models represents the backend of the this
    architecture.
    Now the Models can be categorized in 2 ways:
    1. Adaptive and Deprecated.
    2. RFC,Webservice,Bean.
    Now the Adaptive models follow CMI(Common model Interface) specs.
    For information on the CMI look into the documents on the SAP Netweaver Documention.
    Also,the following document would give you a good idea of the same.
    <a href="http://help.sap.com/javadocs/NW04S/current/cm/index.html">CMI documentation</a>
    <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/cef4f43e-0d01-0010-db84-ede25c874115">How to use CMI</a>.
    This will give you sufficient information to start with the CMI.
    Now for the other classification which's pretty straight:
    1.WebService Model: Is like any other webservice uses SOAP request response.
    <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/900bbf94-a7a8-2910-e298-a651b4706c1e">Adaptive Web Service Model</a>
    2.RFC: Is a function module made in ABAP uses JCO for interacting internally.
    <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/11c3b051-0401-0010-fe9a-9eabd9c216de">Adaptive RFC Models</a>
    3.Bean Model: Java Bean Classed should follow the Java Bean specification.

  • About database modeling

    hi all,
    I wonder if there is a forum dedicated to database modeling (I don´t mean a forum about sql syntax but a forum that discusses about how to model relationships between entities and all that stuff)
    I know this forum has nothing to do with database modeling, so my intent is not to post any question about db modeling but just to find out if there is a forum dedicated to it anywhere on the web.
    If everybody in this forum is researching about JDBC then some of you may know about such forum over the web.
    Any hints will be welcome!
    tnx!

    jschell,
    the url you provided talks about OO modeling and this kind of modeling is related to DB modeling. It is a helpful forum.
    I am also considering visiting mysql and other database vendors websites to find out more specialized forums but only after i have a look at the forum you suggested!
    thanks for your reply!

  • Anyone know anything about transistor model creation?

    Although it was rather difficult, I've managed to get what may be half decent parameters into a 2n3055 model I'm trying to build. (I can never find the famous ".cir" model for anything.)  The main place where I had zilch was input capacitance.  So, since I started with the 2n2222's numbers, I just left them there.
    I droped the "component" in a simple circuit, but clearly my pin mapping is hosed up.  Hence, this leads to my first question.
    I do not understand what "q%p %tB %tC %tE %m"  is or how it maps to my symbol (an NPN transistor).  Does anyone out there have a clue?
    And yes, before you say it to me, yes, yes, yes, I did do the tutorial that had me follow the bouncing ball and create a programmable gain amp being promoted by Texas Instruments.  But what does it do for me in trying to build a well-known transistor's model??
    Also, as I briefly mentioned before, does anyone out there know where this great repository of *.cir models is?  One would think that as common as a 2n3055 is, there most certainly is a 2n3055.cir out there somewhere, but I haven't found it.
    Incidentally, I've found these, but I haven't a clue as to how to make them work for me:

    I guess what I'm asking is has anyone out there successfully taken a NON *.cir definition and created a fairly well working transistor model, and will that person please be so kind as to help me to understand how to do it for myself?
    I swear NI/Multisim are shooting themselves in the foot by not making user requested Multisim models available for a fee.  They'd make soooo much money.  Moreover, by only offering a scant few models, maybe, just maybe, their starting software price might be affordable to, oh, most people who can't access corporate funding.
    I swear I'll pay a flat fee of $20 to anyone who will sell me a working Multisim model for any discrete component when I need it.  One of the biggest hurdles of Multisim is producing functioning models.  There is a tremendous business opportunity in producing working Multisim models, and it is only a matter of time until some entrepreneur out there cashes in on it.  If NI/Multisim doesn't have the brains to figure this out, I'll bet somebody else out there does. For I have yet to have a model from a manufacturer work in Multisim, much less painlessly be transferred into it. This 2n3055/2955 modelwas tried by me nearly a year ago, but I eventually had to give up. ...and yes, I contacted technical support. Oh boy was that a bad move! ...but that's a story for another time.

    I am only going to make one comment and I will leave the rest to someone with more experience on the model creation end of things. I am interested in that as much as you are since I have tried and and just couldn't figure it out and finally gave up on it.
    My comment is about the model making business as you describe it. There are companies out there that already provide this service. I do not know what prices they charge for their services, but a Google search will pop up quite of few of them. A person would have to check on pricing and all the rest of the details concerning this, but they are out there.
    I want to add that Multisim used to have a partnership with Edaparts.com to supply model information and footprints for free. When Edaparts became a portion of Partsminer.com this freebie ended and they now charge a subscription fee for this service. That really fudged things up in my opinion. Anyway, I thought I would let you know this if you didn't already and maybe you might be interested in checking it out.

  • Basic jsp and servlet question (JSP Model 2)

    Hi
    I want to make an website where i use JSP Model 2 architecture. However I got a basic question
    1. I need to separate business logic from presentation with the use of jsp and servlets. Meaning I want no html code in the servlet. Can you give a simple example of how this can be done? If I map my implementation of httpServlet to a jsp page in web.xml and override doPost() and doGet(). The calls to the jsp page comes to the servlet as it should. I want to process some methods (calling sessionbeans or similar which in turn calls entitybeans) and then show the jsp page.
    How do I show the jsp page without mixing html in the servlet as I've done below:
    doGet(HttpServletRequest req, HttpServletResponse res)
    PrintWriter p = response.getWriter();
    p.print("<html><body>Hello world</body></html>"); //I dont want to do //this, I want to display the JSP site
    doPost(HttpServletRequest req, HttpServletResponse res)
    //doSomething
    }Message was edited by:

    You should treat your servlet class much like a controller, where you can then use JSP as the view. The way you achieve this is to use the forward() method in RequestDispatcher.
    Say you've got a servlet class org.yoursite.controller.YourController:
    public void doGet(HttpServletRequest req, HttpServletResponse resp)
      throws ServletException, IOException {
      //Set some value for use in the JSP file associated wth me
      req.setAttribute("greeting", "Hello world!");
      //Done with our business logic, off we go to the JSP file
      ServletContext app = getServletContext();
        RequestDispatcher disp;
        disp = app.getRequestDispatcher("/some/jsp/file.jsp);
        disp.forward(req, resp);
    }Now in your JSP file:
    <h1>Example</h1>
    <div>
      I just want to say <%= request.getAttribute("greeting") %>
    </div>Going to that servlet now executes business logic and then points to the JSP file for the view. You can forward from servlet to servlet too if needs be. The string you pass to forward() is whatever would be in the URI of the request so any <servlet-mapping> configurations in web.xml are used ;)
    There is some pretty in-depth documentation on the J2EE blueprints website, namely service-to-worker and front-controller patterns. I dare say if you're looking for this sort of code you'll want to look at the composite view pattern too (also on blueprints).

  • Information about JSP

    Hi everyone,
    I am trying to collect information about JSP and was wondering if anybody could help me?
    I am trying to find something about the history, what kind of compiling language JSP is using and how it works, what kind of runtime and how it works, what kind of uniform class library and how it works.
    I am trying to find general information. I dont want to go into details like is using Taglibs, Beans ect.
    I would appreciate the help.
    Thanks,
    Michael

    Well, JSP is Java Server Pages. I'm not sure how old it is, offhand. At least 5 years now, I guess. Generally, it uses Java as the language, although, technically, there is a language parameter of a JSP page that suggests there was some thought to supporting other languages (like ASP supports (or used to) VBScript or JScript).
    Why don't you go to the JSP page on Sun's site and read that info.

  • WebAPI question about Hierarchy modeling

    Hi all,
    I have come to a issue about Hierarchy modeling. I want to use WebAPI to drill down the query in the visual composer. And I have follow every steps mentioned in this PDF file
    </people/prakash.darji/blog/2006/08/24/overcome-limitations-around-using-bi-hierarchies-in-vc-by-using-ui-elements-from-wad
    Here is my webapi:
    'FILTER_NODE_IOBJNM=0COUNTRY;FILTER_VALUE='&@Country_key&';FILTER_COLLAPSE= ;FILTER_IOBJNM=0COUNTRY;
    CMD_1=CMD%3DDRILL_TO_LEVEL%26LEVEL%3D2%26IOBJNM%3D0COUNTRY%26DATA_PROVIDER%3DDP;'
    It's really same to the webapi in the PDF file except the different characteristic. and my model structrue is also the same as that one. And I has also confirmed the displaying hierarchy is checked in the query.
    The issue is that the "drill to level" part of the webapi works well, but the filter doesn't work. I have no idea why. Can anyone help me?
    Regards,
    Dicky

    Dicky,
    I struggled with this for 3 days, I understand your pain. After a deep investigation I found that my mapping was incorrect. Try this:
    1) Double click on DRILLDOWN connection between output and input ports
    2) Check if WEBAPI inputfield has the web api commands
    3) Make sure that none of the other input fields have values set. It usually happens that when you connect the output to the input port, similar (or like) variables are mapped automatically, for example in my case, I had Org_unit mapped to @Org_unit automatically. Delete such mappings. You should have only the WEBAPI input field with an assigned value.
    Hope this helps,
    Kiran

  • About jsp tags..............

    Pls help
    I am studing about JSP
    if we write code in scriptlet tag i.e. < % %>
    code goes into service() method of servlet ,which is automatically created by jsp Engine
    if we write code in declaration tag i.e. <%! %>
    code goes outside service() method of servlet ,which is automatically
    created by jsp Engine means at class level.
    is their any tag so that jsp code goes into init() method of servlet ,which is automatically created by jsp Engine for that jsp

    simple and straight u need to code init() method using <%! %> tags.. but in case JSP it has to be jspInit() method.
    The jspInit method is called by the container once and only once for a servlet instance. As you might guess from its name it is used to do initial once only setup such as getting resources and initialising variables that are used in the JSP page. The jspInit method can be overridden within a JSP page with code like the following.
    <%!
    public void jspInit(){
    /*getServletConfig is inherited */
    ServletConfig config= getServletConfig();
    %>REF : http://www.examulator.com/moodle/mod/resource/view.php?id=380

  • About 3d Modelling?

    Hi there ?
    I am really in trouble with a subject about 3d modelling!
    As a graduate-project i am given a programme which will ue the sound analyze first and make the 3d man model do the appropriate thing related to the sound.
    To give an example ;
    1- You will press the "Space" button to activate sound-command-recording , and then you will get the sound into a buffer
    2- After that , that sound will be analyzed and compared from the sound database like "move , stop , etc."
    3 - Finally , if the sound command is appropriate , the 3d model will behave as told in the sound-command?
    CAN I USE "poser5" or such kind of a programme for the 3D HUMAN MODEL ? Are they usable in JAVA^3D?
    is this possible? of course it is , but i mean , how hard will it be for a programmer "well-experienced" in java (Socket programming , swing etc) but who have never dealed with 3d thing?
    Or do you have any example like this?
    Thank you a lot?

    You can create models in any application for which a Loader exists. Loading a model into Java3D is trivially simple. Read the tutorials.
    List of loaders here: http://www.j3d.org/utilities/loaders.html

  • Help need to know about JSP-RMI connection

    Hi All...
    Can anyone send me any tutorial/link about JSP-RMI connection. I need to access a RMI server object from JSP page.Is it possible?
    Looking for your responds.....

    Hi ...
    I didn't get any reply from any one....
    Is it possible to make Java Server Pages and RMI work
    together -sure, jsp's can make requests to servlets which can then talk to remote objects, then a response can be sent back down to the jsp
    to invoke a method on a server object from a JSP? And
    if, does
    someone know of a good tutorial, article etc., on
    this matter?hmm, Google, JSP Tutorial, RMI Tutorial, etc.

  • A question about conversion model.

    I'm programming a JSF-based forum. See the code below:
    <jsp:useBean id="CommentBean" class="net.gleamynode.notes.http.faces.CommentBean" scope="request" />
    <jsp:setProperty name="CommentBean" property="pageId" value="${p.id}"/>
    <h:form id="commmentForm" formName="commentForm" >
    <h:input_hidden id="pageId" valueRef="CommentBean.pageId"/>
    <h:input_text id="userName" valueRef="CommentBean.userName"/>
    <h:input_text id="userEmail" valueRef="CommentBean.userEmail"/>
    <h:input_text id="userURL" valueRef="CommentBean.userURL"/>
    <h:input_textarea id="content" valueRef="CommentBean.content"/>
    <h:command_button id="submit" label="Leave a comment" commandName="submit" actionRef="CommentBean.createAction" />
    </h:form>
    The type of CommentBean.pageId property is 'java.lang.Integer'. It seems JSF does not convert the request parameter 'pageId' (whose type is String) properly. CommentBean.pageId is always set to '0'.
    The strange fact is that it works if I use input_number instead of input_hidden! It is clear that the conversion model is applied differently for different component types. (Sorry, I did'nt have much time to read every chapter of the spec. ;)
    Is there anyone who experienced the same problem?
    PS: btw, the first two line in the code above looks very unnatural because we specified the name of the bean class and scope already in faces-config.xml. Is there any way to do the same job without using jsp:useBean and jsp:setProperty? (please note ${p} is not a managed bean. it is just a dynamically declared bean in page scope.)

    Hi,
    yes, it seems, that input_hidden field accepts only String attributes.
    But this (maybe) will be changed in next releases so no conversion should be necessary.
    See, what Craig said about a similar case, which I think includes your question: http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jsp?forum=427&thread=443816&message=2011411#2011411

  • Question about jsp tags

    Hello to all the programmers ,
    I have the code below , i get from servlet the attribute that called carList and then i use the forEach iterator for

    </html>The result that i get us :
    EMP_ID FIRST_NAME LAST_NAME
    ${emp.id} ${emp.first_name} ${emp.last_name}
    with the suitable headers of course.
    Why i get this result and not get as i expected the empBean.
    Regards
    Ofer

    I checked the web.xml and version is 2.4.
    I don't thhink that problem related to the web.xml , because i have another example that worked like this one :
    <%@ taglib prefix="c" uri="http://java.sun.com/jsp/jstl/core" %>
    <%
        // DON'T FREAK OUT!!! This scriptlet code will go away once
        // we have a model and controller in place...
        String[  ][  ] empList = {
                {"22254", "Joe", "Pashi"},
                {"15487", "Yos", "Alke"},
                {"8777", "Jhon", "Gatez"}
        pageContext.setAttribute("empList", empList);
    %>
    <html>
    <body>
      <table border="1">
        <tr>
          <th bgcolor="cccccc" align="left">Id</th>
          <th bgcolor="cccccc" align="left">First_Name</th>
          <th bgcolor="cccccc" align="left">Last_Name</th>
        </tr>
        <c:forEach items='${empList}' var='emp'>
          <tr>
          <td align="left">${emp[0]}</td>
          <td align="left">${emp[1]}</td>
          <td align="left">${emp[2]}</td>
          </tr>
        </c:forEach>
      </table>
    </body>
    </html>when i run this jsp page in tomcat i get the this result as expected :
    Id First_Name Last_Name
    22254 Joe Pashi
    15487 Yos Alke
    8777 Jhon Gatez
    I think that maybe i missed something in the previous example , something that related to the iterator forEach.

  • My Sandisk cruzer thumb drive 4.0GB (which is very old, roughly 10 years and I'm not sure about the model) reads "The disk you inserted was not readable by this computer" when inserted in my Macbook pro 2010. How do I get it to work?

    Is it readable in a Windows computer?  If not then you can try Disk Utility to repair the drive-- although that may be dangerous too.
    I haven't had this problem so I out of safe ideas.  There are ustilies out there.   I used the seach term "repair flash drive Mac OS X" to locate some of these.
