  • JSTL sql:query date field has zero time part

    I have a little JSP where I am using JSTL to do a query against a table "ph_application" that has a date field "rundate". This field has many different dates and times in it.
    Here is the code snippet:
    <sql:setDataSource url="jdbc:oracle:thin:@oraprd02:1521:ipp4" user="site" password="pmc_site"/>
    <sql:query var="application" sql="select * from ph_application"/>
    <c:forEach items="${application.rows}" var="row">
    <tr>
    <td><c:out value="${row.name}" default=" " escapeXml="false"/></td>
    <td><fmt:formatDate value="${row.rundate}" type="both"/></td>
    </tr>
    </c:forEach>
    The resulting date/time output always has a 12:00:00 AM time regardless of what is actually in the table. I have changed the fmt:formatDate to a c:out of the row.rundate.time value and it appears that the time part of the date is actually zero at this point.
    Is there an inconsistancy between the oracle date type and what JSTL is expecting (somewhere)?
    Any help and/or verification is appreciated.
    Richard

    I'm running this from within JDeveloper 10g.

  • MS Access returns a SQL Database date field as text

    When linking to a table via ODBC to a SQL database, Access returns any field that is formatted as 'Date' as a 'Text' field. A Date/Time field works fine. I cannot change the SQL Database.  Is there a fix for this?

    Hi,
    In regarding of the issue, please provide us more information to assist you better.
    Which version of Access and SQL server do you use?
    Do you use ODBC Driver 11 for SQL server?
    Based on my test (My environment: Access 2013, SQL server 2014, and ODBC Driver 11 for SQL server), I can't reproduce your issue. Regardless  of "Date" and "Date/Time" data type of SQL, both of them can be linked to Access
    that are formatted as Date/Time type.
    I suppose this issue may be caused by the data. For example, if the date like: 2015--2--23, it can't be recognized as date type in Access. Please try to check it.
    If you have any update, please feel free let me know.

  • SQL Developer Data Modeler - MAC Version 2.0.0 Build 570 - Issues

    In no particular order
    - The Help, About box displays a different version information set then the SQL Developer Data Modeler, About SQl Developer Data Modeler.
    - Not able to move any portion of the connection between entities. Thus there is no current way to align the lines as wanted.
    - There is no way to scroll all the way to the right side if you have more then approximately 5 entities horizontally.
    - Open SQl Developer data Modeler, Click on File, Open, select an XML file and a dialog box is displayed.
    - The checkbox needs to be moved to the right as it is partially cut off.
    - the text next to the checkbox is cutoff and only displays "Don't show this dialog agai".
    - Printing Diagrams does not print correctly unless you have the entities displayed such that you can "read" them. If you have diminished the display so that you are not able to see the table or
    field names then the Print Diagrams does not display the entity or field names.
    - File, Recent Designs, does not retain the last or any design having been opened and/or saved.
    - VarChar2 is not a displayed data type for Oracle 10G.
    - There does not appear to be a way to create a set of fields which you would like to have added quickly and easily to selected tables.
    - DDL Editor displays the Macintosh HD. It should display my User Directory

  • WAD - Best way to layout master data fields for a single record

    I am creating an employee profile which will be fed from various InfoProviders in BI. I am going to lay it out so that there is a master data section at the top and then below there will be various histories (salary, job, etc) and everything will be populated by the value of a single variable.
    The question I have is what is the best way to lay out about 20 master data fields in the top section and have it look nice? My guess (and I am not fond of the tedium) is to create a bound text for each of them and bind it to the appropriate characteristic. Then just have the variable setting affect all of them.
    Anyone have any other ideas?

    Hello,
    you can use the interface command:
    storm-control unicast level 10.00
    or
    storm-control unicast bps 10000000
    The first command will limit bandwidth to 10% of what is available, the second will limit bandwidth to 10Mbps, effectively achieving the same thing.

  • SQL Query for Date field updation

    I want a query from u.. Hope u help me with a
    solution soon..
    My Q: I want to update a date field in Oracle
    database. But the condition is that i shouldnt change
    the hours, minutes & seconds of the date field.
    generally , if we update the date field then it takes
    the default values for hours, min's & sec's to
    00:00:00.
    EX : if we have a value 21-SEP-2002 04:54:44 in a date
    field. I want to update it to 22-SEP-2002 04:54:44.
    But it updates to 22-sep-2002 00:00:00 if we use
    UPDATE command.

    Use a PreparedStatement:
    PreparedStatement ps = conn.prepareStatement("SELECT * FROM TEMP WHERE TDATE > ? AND TDATE < ?");
    // note: month numbers start at 0, so 1 is february
    GregorianCalendar c1 = new GregorianCalendar(2002, 1, 11, 11, 0);
    GregorianCalendar c2 = new GregorianCalendar(2002, 1, 18, 22, 0);
    Date d1 = c1.getTime();
    Date d2 = c2.getTime();
    java.sql.Timestamp sqlDate1 = new java.sql.Timestamp(d1.getTime());
    java.sql.Timestamp sqlDate2 = new java.sql.Timestamp(d2.getTime());
    ps.setTimestamp(1, sqlDate1);
    ps.setTimestamp(2, sqlDate2);
    ResultSet rs = ps.executeQuery();

    Thanks
    Mahesh

    I went back and looked at some of my old *.ctl files and I did something simlilar to what you mentioned and it worked for me, but I had surrounded the option in double-quotes and included a colon in front of the item. Example:
    TECHNOLOGY_ID,
    ENVIRONMENT_ID,
    USAGE_TIMESTAMP "to_date(:USAGE_TIMESTAMP,'YYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI:SS')",
    AVG_CPU_PCT,
    AVG_MEMORY_MB,

  • Why does Oracle SQL query returning a date field without the time component

    Hi,
    I'm a novice SQL user & hv just installed Oracle SQL developer (Version 3.0.04, Build MAIN-04.34).
    I made the same SQL query using "Oracle SQL developer" & "TOAD for Oracle 9.0.1" but I got 2 different format on the same date field:
    On TOAD, I get the date field extracted as *04/26/2011 23:12:58*
    On Oracle, I get the date field extracted as *26/APR/11*
    Why is the Oracle result in a different format & missing the time component?
    Is there any option/preference that I need to set in Oracle SQL developer to get the full date/time format displayed?
    I've tried to set my the date format to DD/MON/RR HH12:MI:SSXFF AM under the preference -> database NLS but I still get the same format!

  • Bug: Sql Developer v1.2.1 (32.13) - Date Field Editor doesn't work properly

    Version: Sql Developer v1.2.1 (32.13)
    OS: Windows XP SP2
    Database: Oracle 10g
    Symptoms:
    I have a table with a DATE field.
    In a record of this field a have a value such as : 12/31/0003 (I know this is a strange date value) but the problem is that if I try to change this value using SqlDeveloper grid editor in 12/31/2003, it seems to not recognize the change without enabling the Commit Button and keeping the 0003 value !

    OK, I'm not understanding you exactly. It's not the formatting that you're having an issue with, but the editor. I have a date for a record that is 17-Feb-2006 and I want it to be 17-Feb-1996, so I invoke the date editor and highlight just the year and make the change. Just type in the new year and say OK. This then causes the Commit button to become available, because we have made a change and then I commit the record.
    The record is committed correctly, with the correct years, regardless of whether I have the formatting as RR, RRRR, YY or YYYY.

  • 10.1.3.3 on MySQL - Wrong SQL to fill history date field

    Hello,
    I'm using ADF 10.1.3.3 with MySQL database. In most of my EOs, I'm putting history fields of type date. When creating new row, ADF BC issued "select sysdate from dual" that failed on MySQL, which Im assuming that it is an effort to fill those history date field.
    Are there any known fix or workaround to this problem?
    Thanks
    Rgds,
    Rudi

    By the way, I'm aware of the fact that I can always override create() on the EO and set the createdDate there. This is purely out of curiousity. Is there anyway to make ADF BC issues the right SQL syntax for different database.

  • How do I apply filters or limit the rows on my report using a Date field in SQL report builder 3.0?

    I have a status of completed and a date field in the dataset. The date field is either empty or contains a date. All 2015 dates are holding dates.
    So how can I limit the report to only pull completed status with an empty date or a holding date?
    I have not been able to set an OR option on a date field filter and if I add two filters on the date column one for empty one for > 12/31/2014 then it treats it as an "and" and pulls nothing from the list I have in sharepoint.
    any help will be appreciated.

    Hi MB,
    In Reporting Services, the relationship of  filters is “And”, and there is no option to change the relationship from “And” to “Or”. While we can use “or” operator within the expression to create one filter to integrated all filters to work around this
    issue.
    We can add a filter as follows in the dataset to limit the rows in your report:
    Expression: =Fields!date.Value is nothing or Fields!date.Value>"12/31/2014"    Type: Boolean
    Operator: =
    Value: true
