About the "Distribution Chain" per 'Plant'

Hi,
Sales Organization and Distribution Channel can determine a "Distribution Chain" , and "Plant" can be assigned to the "Distribution Chain". My question is, is there any way to find out all the "Distribution Chain" of a "plant"?
Thanks!

Hello
Sales Organization and Distribution Channel are exist for particular material, not for plant.
Look at table MVKE.

I don't understand this reply at all.  Many of us have been using acrobat.com in exactly this fashion, and I've posted about it many times; including a full review:

Did Adobe not see this coming? How would you limit the download amount without gutting the functionality?  Would this apply to paid acrobat.com accounts as well?
I'm about to upgrade my acrobat.com account this week to host more than 1 folio.  You need to clarify what you mean by 'modify the user agreement' ASAP.

  • Differentiate Plant between Distribution Chain and Store Chain is IS-Retail

    Hai guys,
I created a Distribution Center (BD01) for a Sales Org BP01, Dist Chl B1, Divn B1. Whenever I try to create an Article, I am getting this error
'Distribution Chain BP01/B1 is not a Store Distribution Chain'
The Performance Assistant gives me the following diagnosis:-
Distribution chain BP01/B2 is not a store distribution chain
    Message no. MH009
    Diagnosis
You wanted to maintain store logistics data for a distribution chain. However, this is only possible if the distribution chain is one for stores (as opposed to one for distribution centers).
    Procedure
    Specify a store distribution chain.
But when I try to change the settings of "Distribution Chain Control" in Customising of "Basic Data Retail", I am unable to make a "Store Distribution Chain". Can somebody teach me how?
    IT IS URGENT
    Regards,
    Maheshwaran. I

    Dear Maheshwaran,
Based on your condition type....you have to create Saling Price using VKP5 transaction code with purchase price and sales price determination.
Or you can upload using transaction code VK11
After this transactions, you can trigger IDoc from SAP to POS
Hope this information will be useful.

  • Can you please explain about the vehicle management system?

    Hi ,
i want to know about the module (vehicle management system) .please explain any one in details .
    Regards
    Venkata .

    Hi Venkata,
The Vehicle Management system (VMS) is part of SAP IS - Auto. Generally it is said that it is used by importers, however I would rather put it like this – It can be used for an importer or a distributor’s business functions. So if an OEM is also performing a distributor’s business, he can also use VMS and get benefited out of it.
The VMS facilitates to see a Vehicle like a Vehicle in the system.
Following are the few high level features -
It allows to capture all the attributes of a  particular vehicle as an unique object in the system
All the transaction on a vehicle (sales, purchase etc.) can be carried out keeping vehicle as a central object, provides ease of operation to users. All business and technical data of the vehicle is available here.
Strong configuration based vehicle search and vehicle history (transactions) helps in tracking the vehicle easily for any purpose in the distribution chain of OEMà Distributorà Dealerà End Customer.
This is in brief about VMS.

  • What is the distribution process of a WP8 update?

    Hello!
Can anybody explain to me, step by step, the process for distributing a WP8.1 update? I'm trying to understand why Orange Romania has not distributed yet the Lumia Denim update to Lumia 925 devices Orange branded. All the others Romanian carriers have already distributed this update to Lumia 925, Orange says they have not yet received the update from the manufacturer (aka Microsoft).
The Twitter account @LumiaHelp directed me to the official support page where I can check the availability of this update for a specific country and carrier. But that does not solve my dilema. @LumiaHelp says they have no information regarding the date when this update will be made available to Lumia 925 by Orange Romania. I understand that. All I wanted to know from them was if Orange Romania has received this update for testing or not.
I want to know why Lumia Denim is not yet available for Lumia 925 from Orange Romania. Is it because Microsoft forgot to distribute this update to Orange Romania? Is it because Orange Romania is not interested in distributing this update to Lumia 925? What party in the distribution chain is blocking this update?
    Thank you.
    Cosmin Petrenciuc

Mhm. According to the availability webpage, you should get Lumia Denim. However, in the Software Recovery Tool, Lumia Denim is not available for your Lumia 925 Orange Romania, yet. However, your firmware variant (059T7Z3) is the SIM-Locked variant. Because I am an end-user like you, I cannot double-check if there is a non-SIM-Locked firmware variant and which firmware version that has. Furthermore, I do not know the current version for the Microsoft over-the-air servers – the recovery tool is using a different database.
Actually, you do not have to worry about the distribution process because you cannot change anything about that at all. Either the phone notifies you about an update or not. In the world of Microsoft Mobile, there is no need to bully the phone, the operator, or Microsoft Mobile themselves. The process is so intransparent even internally for these parties, all you can do it wait and see.
Anyway, hopefully a employee see this thread and double-checks the files for this firmware variant (there are thousand of firmware files, each model, type, region, operator, and color). Something is wrong in your case, because the availability page states you should have the update already.

    Pricing Procedure
In SD, Pricing Procedure is determined based on Sales Area (Sales Organization + Distribution Centre + Division) + Customer Pricing Procedure + Document Pricing Procedure. Sales Area is determined in Sales Order Header Level. Customer Pricing Procedure is determined from Customer Master. Document Pricing Procedure is determined from Sales Document Type / Billing Type (if configured). Once the pricing procedure is determined, Condition records are fetched. If appropriate condition records are found, the price is determined. If Mandatory pricing condition is missing, system will through an error message.
In SD, the steps to configure Pricing procedure are as under:
    Step 1:
Condition table: If existing condition table meets the requirement, we need not create a new condition table. Considering the requirement for new condition table, the configuration will be done in spro as follows: IMG --> Sales & Distribution --> Basic Function --> Pricing Control --> Condition Table (select the required fields combination, which will store condition record).
    Step 2:
Access Sequence: If existing access sequence meets the requirement, we need not create a new access sequence. Considering the requirement for new sequence, the configuration will be done in spro as follows: IMG --> Sales & Distribution --> Basic Function --> Pricing Control --> Access Sequence (Access sequence is made up of Accesses (Tables) & the order of priority in which it is to be accessed. Here we assign the condition table to access sequence.
    Step 3:
Condition Type: If existing condition type meets the requirement, we need not create a new condition type. Considering the requirement for new condition type, the configuration will be done in spro as follows: IMG --> Sales & Distribution --> Basic Function --> Pricing Control --> Condition Type. It is always recommended to copy an existing similar condition type & make the neccessary changes. Here we assign Access sequence to Condition type.
    Step 4:
    a. Pricing Procedure: It is recommended to copy a similar pricing procedure & make the neccesary changes in new pricing procedure. Pricing Procedure is a set of condition type & arranged in the sequence in which it has to perform the calculation. Considering the requirement for new Pricing Procedure, the configuration will be done in spro as follows: IMG --> Sales & Distribution --> Basic Function --> Pricing Control --> Pricing Procedure --> Maintain Pricing Procedure.
    b. Pricing Procedure: After maintaining the pricing procedure the next step will be determination of pricing procedure. Configuration for determining pricing procedure in SPRO is as follows: IMG --> Sales & Distribution --> Basic Function --> Pricing Control --> Pricing Procedure --> Determine Pricing Procedure.
    5. Condition record: Condition record is a master data, which is required to be maintained by Core team / person responsible from the client. During new implementation, the condition records can be uploaded using tools like SCAT, LSMW, etc.
    Normal Sales Order Cycle:-
    Step 1: Sales Document Type
IMG > Sales and Distribution > Sales > Sales Documents >
    Sales Document Header:
    1. Sales Document Type:The sales document types represent the different business transactions, such as Inquiry, Quotation, Sales Order, etc. To create new sales order type, always copy as with reference to similar sales order. If possible use standard sales order.
    2. Define Number Ranges For Sales Documents: Maintain number range with discussion with core team.
    3. Assign Sales Area To Sales Document Types:
    A. Combine sales organizations / Combine distribution channels / Combine divisions: Ensure to maintain these, else Sales Order creation will give error.
    B. Assign sales order types permitted for sales areas: Assign only required Sales Order Types to required Sales Area. This will minimize selection of Sales Order Type as per sales area.
    Sales Document Item:
    1. Define Item Categories: If possible use Standard Item Category. Incase if required to create new, copy as from standard & maintain New.
    2. Assign Item Categories: If possible, use standard. Formula for deriving item category: Sales Document Type + Item Category Group + Usage + Higher Level Item Category = Item Category
    Schedule Line:
    1. Define Schedule Line Categories: If possible use Standard Schedule Lines. Incase if required to create new, copy as from standard & maintain New.
    2. Assign Schedule Line Categories: If possible, use standard. Formula for deriving Schedule Line: Item Category + MRP Type / No MRP Type.
    Step 2:
    IMG > Logistic Execution > Shipping > Deliveries >
    1. Define Delivery Types: If possible use Standard Delivery Type. Incase if required to create new, copy as from standard & maintain New.
    2. Define Item Categories for Deliveries: If possible use Standard Item Categories for Delivery Type. Incase if required to create new, copy as from standard & maintain New.
    3. Define Number Ranges for Deliveries: Ensure to maintain number range.
    Step 3:
IMG > Sales and Distribution > Billing >
    1. Define Billing Types: If possible use Standard Billing Type. Incase if required to create new, copy as from standard & maintain New.
    2. Define Number Range For Billing Documents: Ensure to maintain number range.
    3. Maintain Copying Control For Billing Documents: Maintain relevant copy controls such as Sales Order to Billing, Deliver to Billing, etc.
The configuration differs from scenario to scenario & requirement of the client.

  • Question about the chain step name in DEFINE_CHAIN_STEP

I have questions about the chain step name in DEFINE_CHAIN_STEP:
    1. Can the step name be a number (e.g. "8")?
    2. Should the step name be unique within a chain or across all chains?
    I am having this exception:
    ORA-25448: rule DMUSER.RULE_6_3707 has errors
ORA-22806: not an object or REF
After I changed the step names (in DEFINE_CHAIN_STEP), the chain seems to run fine.
    Thanks,
    Denny

The reason I asked about the step name is to confirm it can handle numbers (it looks it can handle it from the doc).
Why I changed the step names say from "11" to "21", the error goes away, that puzzled me. Because the way I defined steps and the rules for the steps were exactly the same. Just changing the step names made the error goes away?!
    Thanks.

  • Could you please explain about the  chain and end chain and module

    hi experts
could you please explain about the  chain and end chain and module keywords?

    Hi Naresh,
    Conditions for Multiple Screen Fields
To ensure that one or more PAI modules are only called when several screen fields meet a particular condition, you must combine the calls in the flow logic to form a processing chain. You define processing chains as follows:
    CHAIN.
    ENDCHAIN.
All flow logic statements between CHAIN and ENDCHAIN belong to a processing chain. The fields in the various FIELD statements are combined, and can be used in shared conditions.
    CHAIN.
    FIELD: <f1>, <f 2>,...
    MODULE <mod1> ON CHAIN-INPUT|CHAIN-REQUEST.
    FIELD: <g1>, <g 2>,...
    MODULE <mod2> ON CHAIN-INPUT|CHAIN-REQUEST.
    ENDCHAIN.
The additions ON CHAIN-INPUT and ON CHAIN-REQUEST work like the additions ON INPUT and ON REQUEST that you use for individual fields. The exception is that the module is called whenever at least one of the fields listed in a preceding FIELD statement within the chain meets the condition. So <mod1> is called when one of the fields <fi> meets the condition. <mod2> is called when one of the fields <f i> or <g i> meets the condition.
Within a processing chain, you can combine individual FIELD statements with a MODULE statement to set a condition for a single field within the chain:
    CHAIN.
    FIELD: <f1>, <f 2>,...
    FIELD <f> MODULE <mod1> ON INPUT|REQUEST|*-INPUT
    |CHAIN-INPUT|CHAIN-REQUEST.
    MODULE <mod2> ON CHAIN-INPUT|CHAIN-REQUEST.
    ENDCHAIN.
The module <mod1> is called when screen field <f> meets the specified condition for individual fields. <mod2> is called when one of the fields <fi> or <f> meets the condition. If you use the addition ON CHAIN-INPUT or ON CHAIN-REQUEST with FIELD <f>, the condition also applies to the entire chain and module <mod1> and <mod2> are both called.
In cases where you apply conditions to various combinations of screen fields, it is worth setting up a separate processing chain for each combination and calling different modules from within it.
The functions of the FIELD statement for controlling data transport also apply when you use processing chains. Within a processing chain, screen fields are not transported until the FIELD statement. Processing chains also have another function for the FIELDS statements that they contain. This is described in the section on validity checks.
    Ex:
    PROCESS AFTER INPUT.
    MODULE CANCEL AT EXIT-COMMAND.
    CHAIN.
    FIELD: INPUT1, INPUT2.
    MODULE MODULE_1 ON CHAIN-INPUT.
FIELD INPUT3 MODULE MODULE_* ON *-INPUT.
    MODULE MODULE_2 ON CHAIN-REQUEST.
    ENDCHAIN.
    FIELD INPUT1 MODULE C1 AT CURSOR-SELECTION.
    CHAIN.
    FIELD: INPUT2, INPUT3.
    MODULE C2 AT CURSOR-SELECTION.
    ENDCHAIN.
    MODULE CURSOR AT CURSOR-SELECTION.

  • About the effect for batch level conversion from material to plant level

    Dears,
Now  we use batch management at material level in our system, now we want to change to batch level from material level to plant level, what effects or risks it will bring during the process of conversion?
    Thanks a lot
    Zhongkai

    Hi
check the following SAP help link it is very helpful:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_40b/helpdata/es/d2/1d4b6e5733d1118b3f0060b03ca329/content.htm
at the link you can find the following
Specify batch level and activate status management
In this IMG activity, you specify the following:
the level at which batch numbers are unique
whether batch status management is active in the client
the plants in which batch status management is active
the initial status of new batches
    Batch level
Batch numbers can be unique at the following levels:
    at plant level
    at material level
at client level for a material
If you choose plant level, the batch number is unique in conjunction with the respective material and the plant. If you choose material level, the batch number is unique together with the material. At client level, the batch number is unique in the whole client.
To change the batch level, you have to start a conversion program. This program first checks whether conversion is possible and outputs an error log containing all batch numbers that occur more than once at the new level. Now you need to manually transfer these batch records to numbers within Inventory Management using a transfer posting 'material to material'.
If you change the level from plant level to a higher level, it is possible that batches with the same batch numbers in different plants are actually identical. In this case, all you have to do is remove stocks (including previous period stocks) so that all batches with the same batch numbers, except one, can be reorganized.
When you convert from plant level to material level, the material is then to be handled in batches in all plants in which it is defined.
    Standard settings
In the standard R/3 System, batches are unique at plant level.
    Activities
To change the batch level, proceed as follows:
          1. Choose the level at which you want your batches to be unique.
          2. Save the new settings and choose Back.
          3. Select function Batch level -> Conversion.
          4. If necessary, carry out the conversion in test mode first.
    Further notes
Note that you cannot reset conversion from plant level to a higher level in the standard.
If you create a client by copying an existing client, initially, there are no settings in the target client at batch level. The system makes the settings in the target client only when you have carried out an activity (maintaining master data or posting a goods movement, for example).
    SETTINGS BEFORE/AFTER CLIENT COPY:
    Source client Target client
    Client level Material level
    Material level Material level
    Plant level Plant level
    Batch status management
Batch status management is an additional function provided by the standard R/3 System.
    Standard settings
Batch status management is not active in the standard R/3 system.
    Activities
To activate batch status management, proceed as follows:
          1. Choose Batch status management active.
          2. Save the new setting and choose Back.
          3. Choose Batch status management -> conversion.
          4. If necessary, carry out the conversion in test mode first.
    Further notes
Batch status management is linked to the batch level. At material and at plant level, the status management settings are valid within the client, that is for all plants. However, if you have defined batches to be unique at plant level, you have to select the plants in which status management is to be active using function Plants with status management.
If you activate status management, all existing batches are assigned status 'unrestricted'. If you deactivate status management, the systems transfers all restricted batches to unrestricted stock within conversion. Restricted stock only exists if status management is active.
If you create a client by copying an existing client, status management is automatically activated if batches exist in the target client, independent of the settings in the source client. If no batches exist in the target client, it is not activated. In this case, you have to activate or deactivate status management manually, if required.
    Plants with batch status management
    Activities
To select the plants in which status management is to be active, proceed as follows:
          1. Set characteristic Batch status management for those plants in which batch status management is to be active.
          2. Save your settings and choose function Back.
          3. Choose function Batch status management -> conversion
          4. If necessary, carry out the conversion in test mode first.
Initial status of a new batch
Using this function, you can specify for each material type which initial status new batches are to be assigned. However, if you use a quality management system, this specifies the status of the batches.
    Hope it will help
    Best Regards
