About the download icon

Hello my friend, i have a problem with my download icon in the toolbar..few days ago, i remove the download icon from the toolbar by mistake..i put it back right after but now, i don't get the little jump of the icon when i download a picture or music. i can't find the item i download neither, even after i make sure when i download that it is being download on download icon..usually, i have the item i download as the last item in the icon, but now no..can you help me please.

That is correct, but i already have the download icon on my dock...but it is not responding to any of the dock fonction...like alert when element is download...etc...I need thoses fonction so i can go get right away the latest element download...Thanks...Need more of your help..

You have to pay for major version upgrades, like LR 3 to LR 5.
You can purchase the upgrade from Adobe for 79 US Dollars from Products, make sure you have your Lightroom 3 serial number available (and maybe cheaper from other sellers)

Ever since downloading Firefox 4, whenever I try to open Firefox I get the download Icon and disk and am not allowed to send it to trash as I have down in other downloads.

I downloaded Firefox 4 a while ago. I followed the instructions and tried to get rid of the Icon on my desktop and the disk. Whenever I try to do so I get a message stating that the disk "Firefox" couldn't be ejected because Firefox is using it and that I have to quit the application and try to eject the disk again. But whenever I try to open Firefox I get the download Icon (the one with the fox and the arrow) and the disk back in my desktop. Can I ever get rid of them?

Did you drag the the Firefox program from the disk image (DMG) to the application folder on your hard drive ?

Go to Safari>Preferences...>General> and set "Remove download list items: to "Manually."
If that setting is "Upon Successful Download" the Downloads icon only appears during the download.

Hi, after updated my firefox, i can't open the download icon

Today firefox automatically updated the browser. Then i'm downloading something after done the download icon color should change to blue, but it's not. Still grey.
As i try to click it, it won't open the download menu.
Now i have to manually open my download folder, instead of opening at browser which is not efficient.
What happened?

Okay, it solved after i closed and open the firefox.

When I try to download OSX mavericks in the App Store, it takes forever then the downloading icon just disappears after a loooong time just to get half way

When I try to download osx mavericks, it takes and xtremely long time...like over 2 hours just to get to the half way mark...then the downloading icon on my dock for it just disappears after it has been half way finished.
I am running on a mbp 10.6.8 model macbookpro5,5

I recently purchased a second hand new macbook air, although it was second hand to me the previous owner had never actually turned it on.
Something doesn't make sense here, though I'm not saying the previous owner is lying....
Time to send your serial # to iTS and let them see what's happening here.

Thanks its working fine, but if i want to see the list of images the path which u have mentioned is possible to me...
as i had registerd in apex.oracle.com which is not instaled in your system..
so is there any other option.. in order to know the list of names of images icons.
for ex i need to delete a partcular file for that what kind of image i need to be mentioned in Link text...
and at the same time can we change the icon name i mean when ever we move the cursor on that particular icon it is showing as edit every time ..
instead of edit name can we change that name to say (download,delete..)

Slight doubt about the downloading shown on Launchpad mac.

I rented a movie on iTunes but had to create space to download it. I touched the download icon

It still has the download icon but when I touch it it gives me a msg that I've rented the movie already but I haven't downloaded it and I need to look in "Downloads". Where do I look? I don't see anything that says "Downloads" on the iPad or in iTunes. So frustrating.

Nothing. If the carrier does not unlock the phone you cannot. Only the carrier can unlock it and Apple does not and never has unlocked the iPhone.

OK, but how are the pictures being sent to you?
If you using DropBox, tap on the photo in order to open it on the right, and then tap the share icon in the upper right corner. From there you can Save the Image which will transfer it to the Photos app, or you can tap the Open In icon and select any compatible app in which to open and save the photos.
If the photos are being emailed it is basically the same thing. Tap and hold down on it and select Quick Look to open it, tap the Share icon, etc, etc.

HT204406 I can't seem to download songs from iTumes Match on my new iPhone 5. It still works fine on my iPad. Both are running ios6 and there is plenty of free space on the phone (20 GB or so). The download icon shows & flashes but nothing happens.

I am trying to play songs from iTunes Match on my phone everything is enabled. The songs and playlists show up but when I select one it won't download or play. The download status icon next to the song name flashes on and off but nothing happens. When I go to the iTunes Store the download section shows the same behavior - it flashes that there is 1 download continuously but nothing downloads. My iPad on the same network also running ios6 works fine. Any ideas?

Problem closed (although not resolved). After working with Apple support, no resolution was found. I asked for a refund of the iTunes match purchase price, which was granted. Interestingly the support tech, who was very nice if not particularly helpful from a technical point of view, spun the "resolution" of refunding my iTunes match purchase price as a positive one, here is a quote from the final email
"I'm glad to hear that you're not having issues with the songs you've purchased. Nothing makes Apple happier than to hear that our customers concerns have been rectified."
It is notable that I never had an issue downloading music directly purchased thru the iTunes store, the only issue that existed was downloading songs that I ripped from my CD collection and "matched".
I'm happy that I received my money back, however I wish that the iTunes Match service worked for me (I was looking forward to this service). I'm most upset at the time I wasted trying to fix this problem.
I'll now download music the old fashioned way: syncing with iTunes directly.
