I am using Crystal 9 JAVA SDK to connect to a crystal reports server. This seems to be a very old issue, and as you say, spurious.Unfortunately, Crystal 9 is out of support, and so it won't be fixed in the version you're using.Sincerely,Ted Ueda

I have 3rd party dll, I am adding the ref to it in my project.
I have created a wrapper class for one of the 3rd part dll class, my wrapper class is inheriting for IPofSerializer and serilizing the object.

Report Painter: CO area must be specified

Dear Gurus,
I am new to Report Painter, now I want to create a new report for Actual expanses and Budget expanses. But after I create my variable and my Row and Column, it come out error 'CO area must be specified --> Add in general data selections or rows/column' when I want to save it.
Any idea what had I missed out ?
Can you please provided my any study material or step by step guide? I was quite confusing regarding this report painter.

Perameters in General Data Selection apply to the entire repost (every column and row). Since the four columns of your report are having different period and possibly different FY, you can not put these two parameters in General Data Selection. As my previous posting explained, in addition of standard variable &1PERIV and 1CGJAHE, you will need to define 3 more variables for period FY respectively:
Period Variable 1 - ZPERI2 - Formula: IF '&1PERIV' < 12 THEN '&1PERIV' + 1 ELSE 1
Period Variable 2 - ZPERI3 - Formula: IF '&ZPERI2' < 12 THEN '&ZPERI2' + 1 ELSE 1
Period Variable 3 - ZPERI4 - Formula: IF '&ZPERI3' < 12 THEN '&ZPERI3' + 1 ELSE 1
FY Variable 1 - ZGJAHR2 - Formula: IF '&1PERIV' < 12 THEN '&CGJAHE' ELSE '&CGJAHE' + 1

seems like you specified the id of some textinput as source property of validator, but didnot specify the attribute property.
most probably, it should be 'text'.
when you provide the source property of the validator, you just specity which OBJECT to validate. hoever, you missed WHICH PROPERTY OF THE OBJECT to validate.

SmtpHost must be specified.

I am invoking simple workflow & have not specified any emails. I am creating a user through this workflow. I get the following error when the form is submitted:
"com.waveset.util.WavesetException: smtpHost must be specified."
Is there any other place (in IDM server) where we need to specify the SMTP host.

I have modified the default Create User workflow to include and Activity to send a mail to the Approver upon creation of User.
I have specified the smtoHost name in the email template. But still I am getting the error 'com.waveset.util.WavesetException: smtpHost must be specified.' Any idea why am i getting this error? is ther any other place where i need to give smtpHost name?

After we upgarde our SEM-BCS from 3.2 to 6.0 , we got error message "Goodwill global: All posting items must be specified" when click the Check Setting in COI. The Goodwill global setting is not in 3.2. What should we do to solve this issue? And, do we need to adjust our ODS to the new structure according to Note 1080686 - Upgrade to SEM-BCS 6.0 - infrastructure enhancements?

Approaches differ from consultant to consultant. If I were you, I would have chosen to re-configure the whole BCS itself, under another new consolidation area using same data basis and master data, with all new features included in order to take the benefits of enhanced features of BCS 6.0.

Catalogue ID must be specified in CSV 2.0 Upload

Hi All,
If I upload a schema without the Catalogue ID specified I get the following error message
An error was detected in the CSV file (version 2.0).
This error is in row 8 with the following content:
Catalog;;;;
The SAP Help states that "Catalog ID
Leave blank. SAP Catalog Content Management (SAP CCM) ignores the catalog ID."
however this does not appear to be the case, has anyone else experienced this problem or can you upload CSV schema's without the catalogue ID present?

What is the scenario?

Managed server not able to join the cluster

I have two storage node enabled coherence servers on two different machines.These two are able to form the cluster without any problem. I also have two Managed servers. When I start one, will join the cluster without any issue but when I start the fourth one which does not join the cluster. Only one Managed server joins the cluster. I am getting the following error.

Hi,
By default Coherence uses a multicast protocol to discover other nodes when forming a cluster. Since you are having difficulties in establishing a cluster via multicast, Can you please perform a multicast test and see if multicast is configured properly.

Hope you are using same configuration files across the cluster members and all members of the cluster must specify the same cluster name in order to be allowed to join the cluster.

I would suggest, try using the unicast-listener with the well-known-addresses instead of muticast-listener.

In order to read from Cluster DB Table use the following statement:
Syntax
IMPORT <f1> [ TO < g1 > ] <f2> [TO < g2 >] ...
FROM DATABASE <dbtab>(<ar>)
[CLIENT <cli>] ID <key>|MAJOR-ID <maid> [MINOR-ID <miid>].
This statement reads the data objects specified in the list from a cluster in the database <dbtab>.
You must declare <dbtab> using a TABLES statement. If you do not use the TO <gi> option, the
data object <fi> in the database is assigned to the data object in the program with the same
name. If you do use the option, the data object <fi> is read from the database into the field <gi>.
For <ar>, enter the two-character area ID for the cluster in the database. The name <key>
identifies the data in the database. Its maximum length depends on the length of the name field
in <dbtab>.
The CLIENT <cli> option allows you to disable the automatic client handling of a client-specific cluster database, and specify the client yourself. The addition must always come directly after the name of the database.

SQL 2014 cluster installation on mounting point disks error: Updating permission setting for file

I am attempting to install SQL 2014 fail over cluster under a physical windows 2012 R2 server which have mounting point disks.

I am using an administrator account which have all security rights (cheched on secpol.msc mmc) needed for installation.

Do not install SQL Server to the root directory of a mount point, setup fails when the root of a mounted volume is chosen for the data file directory, we must always specify
a subdirectory for all files. This has to do with how permissions are granted. If you must put files in the root of the mount point you must manually manage the ACLs/permissions. We need to create a subfolder under the root of the mount point, and install
there.

The following is a documentation on the Data Cluster:
Data clusters are specific to ABAP. Although it is possible to read a cluster database using SQL statements, only ABAP can interpret the structure of the data cluster.
You can store data clusters in special databases in the ABAP Dictionary. These are called ABAP cluster databases, and have a prescribed structure:

This method allows you to store complex data objects with deep structures in a single step, without having to adjust them to conform to the flat structure of a relational database. Your data objects are then available systemwide to every user. To read these objects from the database successfully, you must know their data types.
You can use cluster databases to store the results of analyses of data from the relational database. For example, if you want to create a list of your customers with the highest revenue, or an address list from the personnel data of all of your branches, you can write ABAP programs to generate the list and store it as a data cluster. To update the data cluster, you can schedule the program to run periodically as a background job. You can then write other programs that read from the data cluster and work with the results. This method can considerable reduce the response time of your system, since it means that you do not have to access the distributed data in the relational database tables each time you want to look at your list.
Cluster Database :
 Cluster databases are special relational databases in the ABAP Dictionary that you can use to store data clusters. Their line structure is divided into a standard section, containing several fields, and one large field for the data cluster.
Creating a Directory of a Data Cluster
To create a directory of a data cluster from an ABAP cluster database, use the following statement:
Syntax
IMPORT DIRECTORY INTO <dirtab>
 FROM DATABASE <dbtab>(<ar>)
 [CLIENT <cli>] ID <key>.
This creates a directory of the data objects belonging to a data cluster in the database <dbtab> in the internal table <dirtab>. You must declare <dbtab> using a TABLES statement.
To save a data cluster in a database, use the EXPORT TO DATABASE statement .
For <ar>, enter the two-character area ID for the cluster in the database. The name <key> identifies the data in the database. Its maximum length depends on the length of the name field in <dbtab>. The CLIENT <cli> option allows you to disable the automatic client handling of a client-specific cluster database, and specify the client yourself. The addition must always come directly after the name of the database.
The IMPORT statement also reads the contents of the user fields from the database table.
If the system is able to create a directory, SY-SUBRC is set to 0, otherwise to 4.
The internal table <dirtab> must have the ABAP Dictionary structure CDIR.
