Access to submitted form

Can a respondent be allowed access to a submitted form to add data?

It is possible to edit submitted data in the response table but a respondent would need to create an account on FormsCentral (it can be free), and you would need to share the form with this person (how to share: http://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-2462).
Note, that all responses would be accessible by a shared user.

Submitted Form Help Needed

Hi there,
I have created a form in Adobe LiveCycle Designer 7.0 so that clients can fill in their answers and send back. I included the Submit button, however when I did a trial run with the form, it returned in .xml format which wont open in Internet Explorer. Can anyone guide me on how I can have the submitted forms returned in PDF form or if I need to do something with Internet Explorer to be able to access the .xml docs?

If you want to use the .xml file, open the original pdf and import the file in to it then save under another name.
You CAN enable the file so that people using Reader can fill it out, save it then email the entire form back to you but there are limts to it's use. You can either send the form to 500 people and collect an unlimited amount of responses or you can send it to an unlimited amount of people and collect 500 responses. Anything over that amount will be in violation of your license.
To enable the file in Acrobat, you would find the option under Advanced>Enable usage rights in Adobe Reader (at least that's the verbiage in Acrobat 8 Pro). I'm not sure exactly where that option is in LiveCycle Designer but it's probably similar.

while runnign my page getting the error in popup look like java script error.
the pop up contente is :
Failed to execute java script
Check for JavaScript errors, if the Forms server is running and if your browser can download a javaScript from http://bdc6oracle001.gdnindia.com:8005/forms/frmservlet?config=OraFormsFaces

Problem in accessing the Interactive forms in an ISR Senario(like MSS)

I am facing a problem whenever I try to access the interactive form.I am doing this from the standard Business Package, MSS.
I have done all the configurations needed for these ISR Senarios.
I suspect the the error is because of some missing IMG customizing.
Pls provide some directions to solve this problem.

Access the adobe form pdf data in abap or java programs

Hi,
We created an adobe form, with few text boxes, and emailed to user for filing his data into the pdf file.
He filled the text boxes and saved the pdf, and sent back the pdf file by mail.
Now our requirement is:
we need to read the values entered by the user in pdf and update in certain ztables using abap or java.
case 1: using abap
How can abap program read the entries/values in pdf.
is there any doc/blog that shows how to access the adobe form data in abap.
do we need to use/install any software for this.
case 2: using java
Is it possible to read/retrive the adobe form data into java. once the data is into java program, i can utilise the data for several puposes.

using ABAP:
check the program: FP_PDF_TEST_03
This program reads the data from Adobe into XML format.
After this you have to read the data from XML format into ABAP(hope you know how to convert XML to ABAP or simply google it).

Actually I have a JSP page . It calls a popup function to load another JSP file on the event Onclick of a label. In the JSP file loaded on the popup window, I need to access the form elements of the parent.
Eg: the Parent has a Textarea named "ta_1" in the form "appl_1".
Now i cannot access this element in the child JSP page using,
window.opener.document.ta_1.appl_1.value;
The window.opener is not defined for this HTML page cos the HTML page was generated as an output of the JSP file.
Please give a JSP code snippet which accesses the parent form element..

Using the Free account you can view the submitted data and export it to Excel, PDF or CSV (the data is in a table format).
Email Notifications, where an email comes to you each time someone submits the form is a paid level feature. Another Paid level feature is "Download Response as PDF" which allows you to save/download a PDF version of the filled out form that looks like the original.

I built a website for a client using Muse and the Form widget through Business Catalyst. However, now whenever the client gets emails from a submitted form, it says its coming from MY email. How do I change the sender so that they recognize that it's not a personal email from me, but rather a submitted website form. Hope that makes sense!

UPDATE: I just figured it out after having posted this no less than 10 mins ago. Thanks community, your genius overflowed to me and helped me solve my own problem. For anyone who is curious, in the Business Catalyst Admin Console, Under the Site Manager tab in the menu, you simply click "System Email" and the "Set default from email." I can't believe I missed that, and I call myself a professional. Hope it helps someone else!

Yes, this is possible using Oracle's Transparent Gateway. Check out the My Oracle Support (formerly Metalink) document "How To Create A Form Based on SQL Server Table" (Doc ID: 564915.1) for all of the details. This document is based on Forms 10g (10.1.2.0.2) so you may need to upgrade your Forms version if you are not already at this version at a minimum.

Yes and no.. Sorry.. The Access data tables and data can be imported into the database, through SQL Developer. The forms I don't believe will be ported over. What will be created through is a set of maintenance report and form sets for each table you convert over.
That is a good start to converting the database over, since you will probably want to re-do your Access style vba coding to use the available templates and pl/sql code..

Submitting form to portlet

I'm having trouble getting form fields to be visible to a portlet when I submit the form to the page containing the portlet. I've tried setting the page parameters to be the same names as the form fields and then having those page parameters passed into the portlet, but no matter what I try, the portlet doesn't see the submitted form fields.
What am I doing wrong?

The Form portlrts needs to be submitted using the call interface API given in the edit screen of the page.
In order to get the same, Goto Navigator -> Providers -> Locally Built Providers -> Click on your Provider Link -> Here you see "Call Interface Show".
Click on the link and get the URL Interface shown also with example (make sure to pass the module_id as a parameter):
For E.g. i invoke my portlet as,
http://pvasista-pc.idc.oracle.com/pls/portal/PORTAL.wwa_app_module.link?p_arg_names=_moduleid&p_arg_values=1144663114&p_arg_names=_show_header&p_arg_values=YES&p_arg_names=P_EMPID&p_arg_values=' + 100;
Here i pass the parameter p_arg_names to 100. and all other parameters are required.
