Accessing a form created in FormsCentral that is saved locally

Accessing a form created in FormsCentral that is saved locally - how do I do this if the form was not created on this computer?

I am assuming you are saying you used the FormsCentral Desktop application included with Adobe Acrobat Professional XI and created a "Local" form.  You will need to be able to ccess that computer to retrieve that form, when you are on the original PC you created the form on you can either move the form online when signed in so it is available anywhere, or you can export the Design File (FCDT, FormsCentral Design Template) which can then be imported into FormsCentral on any other computer, or can be converted to a PDF in Acrobat XI.  To export the design file open the form and from the Design tab click "File" - "Export Design File..."
Thanks,
Josh

    When I try to access adobe from my smart phone to use my form created in formscentral I receive an error message that says "unsupported browser". There is a link to download a supported browser but the link directs me to another page that says "browser not supported at this time". This happened to me while using my IPhone 5, a friend that uses an IPhone 6, and another friend that uses a Samsung Galaxy S5. I just need for my employees to be able to access, complete and submit work orders created in formscentral from their phones. I would like to use the data collection feature in formscentral but at this point any suggestions on how to accomplish this are welcomed. Thank you

    Further info - I changed my security settings to allow apps from anywhere, and again tried to install.  I again got an error message
    that the update failed to install, and to contact Customer Support.

  • Reading forms created with formscentral on kindle v3.0.2

    text fields are empty when viewing pdfs created on formscentral on kindle

    The PDFs from FormsCentral will work in Adobe Reader, once you are not using Adobe Reader there are no guarantees, they should not be able to be submitted with any other PDF viewer, but the content should be viewable in most, but not always.
    If you have Adobe Acrobat you could try saving the PDF in a few ways and testing on the Kindle, one thing that should work is saving as an image and then converting that image to PDF, but it would not be "interactive" so if any multi-line text field input extends beyond the visible box it would not scroll.

  • Form created with LiveCycle is not saving the data of a fillable form.

    I had posted this in another forum, which got moved over to this forum.  Forgive the double post, I wasn't sure if it was assumed that it was resolved.
    This document:  http://www.southark.edu/employment/application-v5.pdf  was created a couple of years ago in Acrobat and LiveCycle.
    I wanted visitors to have the ability to fill in the document and save their data.
    So, I opened it in Adobe Acrobat X and saved it using the Save As > Reader Extended PDF > Enable Additional Features.
    However, after filling in the document and saving, no data is saved.
    I was informed that since it was an XFA form created in LiveCycle Designer, that they have special considerations that don't apply to forms created in Acrobat.
    Still needing help in giving my visitors the ability to save their form data.
    Thanks,
    Charley

    Thanks so much for your reply.
    Employing your solution our website visitors can save the data using Acrobat Pro.
    They cannot save their data using Reader (most of them don't have Acrobat Pro).  See image below.
    Any other thoughts?
    Thanks very much for your time and interest.

  • Problem with forms created in Adobe 9 not saving in reader X

    We have been using fill in forms I created in Adobe 9 pro and suddenly people were complaining they cannot save the form with their information.  I have discovered that all of those people have acrobat reader X.  I looked for solution and found that original form needs to be saved with "extend features in Adobe reader".  when I did this it seems to have corrected problem.  Does anyone know another way to accomplish without redoing the form? There are many forms and they  have been widely distributed and would be difficult to redistribute. They worked fine with Acrobat reader 9.

    In order for a modified form to be saved with any recent version of Adobe Reader, the document has to Reader-enabled, which is done in Acrobat 9 by selecting "Advanced > Extend Feature in Adobe Reader". So if the forms worked with Reader 9, they must have had the rights applied through this process or by LiveCycle Reader Extensions. It would be interesting to see a form that is fillable/saveable with Reader 9 that doesn't work with Reader 10.

  • Form created in LiveCycle cannot be saved

    I have created a form in Adobe LC Designer 11.0 and I also have Adobe Acrobat XI Pro where I opened the form and selected File -> Save as Other -> Reader Extended PDF -> Enable More Tools and I still cannot save the data typed into the form in Adobe Reader. I have purchased Acrobat Pro, LC Designer. Surely I don't need another product or extension to all this basic function. HELP!

    What exactly means "cannot"?

  • I have iWork's 9 that inludes pages 4.3.  I created a document that I saved.  When I tried to open the document today, I was advised I needed a newer version of pages to open the document.  Why can't I open an existing pages document?

    I have iWorks 9 that includes Pages 4.3.  I created a document and saved it as a "pages" file.  When I tried to open the document the next day, a dialogue box told me I needed a newer version to open the file.  The information provided stated the new app would cost $19.99 and the customer ratings are quite low.  Why can't I open a previously created document in iWorks, regardless of the version.  This is the first time Apple has demanded that I pay for a new version to open existing documents.

    I am with Peter on this issue. Additionally, if you installed the latest IOS Pages (v2.01) on an iPhone or iPad and opened a .pages file on iCloud that was created by Pages ’09 v4.n, or IOS Pages v1.7.n — that document is now in the new .pages file format and only Pages v5 on OS X can open it.

  • Creating a user thats saved to a table? possible or not???

    Ok.....so my uni assignment is to make an SQL database and then a front end in access...for a shoe store...i can make test databases and get access to connect to the sql....yay
    now im never going to get a brilliant grade because im TERRIBLE at all sort of programming (im doing computer networks not programming yet i have to do lots :(..)..............BUT one thing in the assignment states is that the shoe store would like cutomers to 'sign up' as it were....if i could get it to work that would be like one 'trick' thing that might get me a couple more marks...
    SO can i create a user that is saved to the customer table easily? or...would it take lots of knowledge and years of experience or can someone point me to some sample code or a tutorial...????
    or can this not be done and im barking up the wrong tree here?
    thanks in advance to everyone who is better at this than me!!!

    You can create a simple form with two text item each to input userid (text1) and password (text2)
    You add a submit button and you create a WHEN_BUTTON_PRESSED trigger
    In that trigger you code something like this
    Insert into Customer_Table (UserId,Password)
    Values (text1.text,text2.text)
    commit;
    there you are... you can add many users as you want.
    and when you create log in page. you create also two text item each to input userid (text1) and password (text2)
    You add a submit button and you create a WHEN_BUTTON_PRESSED trigger
    In that trigger you code something like this
    Declare
    VarID Varchar2....
    VarPass Varchar2.....
    Begin
    select UserId,Password into VarID,VarPass where UserId = VarID
    exception
    when others then
    RAISE .... 'Wrong ID'
    End;
    If VarPass = text2.text then 'OK' else 'Wrong Password'

  • I have a online form created with my paid account that has just stopped working.

    I have a online form created with my paid account that has been working for months that just started displaying a message that starts "This form was easily created for FREE with FormsCentral. See how..." The inline frame that it shows up in has also changed to be very small. The form is set to open in FormsCentral and shows the message and inline frame size when I choose preview. What's up?

    Checked when I got back in to work today and everything is working as it should. All of our online forms were screwed up yesterday, but are working this morning. I know this won't help anyone in the future, but just wanted to follow-up.

  • How can I create a form with a button that adds a new page of fields to fill out?

    Hi,
    I have a one-page form created in Acrobat Pro 9 that contains five fields for a user to complete. I'd like to give the user the option of adding a page with the same five fields to fill out. The user finishes those fields, presses an "Add a Page" button, and then gets another page to fill out, and so on. When finished, their PDF form might be 10 pages long, at which point the user can save it as a single PDF file. Is this possible to do in Acrobat Pro 9 or 10, and if so, how?
    Thanks,
    Andrew

    When I created a new template like you told me, I wasn't given the option to rename the fields. See screenshot below. I'm just given the option to add a new template. Changing it refers to changing the template to a different page.
    If you can show me how to have the fields renamed automatically or use the rename parameter, I think that should fix it.
    Under Tools>JavaScript>Document JavaScripts, I've added a Script named "PackagingArtwork".
    // Here is the code
    function PackagingArtwork()
    {this.createTemplate({cName: "PackagingArtwork", nPage: 5});
    // Here the code that spawns the template
    var PackagingArtworkArray = this.templates;
              var PackagingArtwork = PackagingArtworkArray[0];
              PackagingArtwork.spawn(this.numPages, false, false);
    This is what the JS debugger said.

  • I am currently using FormsCentral to distribute a form created in Acrobat. I need to add an option to one of the drop down fields but do not want to re-distribute the form due to reporting purposes. How can I do this?

       I am currently using FormsCentral to distribute a form created in Acrobat. I need to add an option to one of the drop down fields but do not want to re-distribute the form due to reporting purposes. How can I do this?

    You can open the form in Acrobat, select "File > Save a Copy", open the copy you just saved (it doesn't happen automatically), edit the dropdown to add the new item, save as a new file, and then Reader-enable the file by selecting: File > Save As Other > Reader Extended PDF > Enable More Tools. The resulting PDF should work with FormsCentral just like the original.

  • I've created a PDF form using Adobe acrobat. I created the forms from a PDF that I made using pages

    I've created a PDF form using Adobe acrobat. I created the forms from a PDF that I made using pages and word on Mac running Mountain lion. How do I allow the user of the form to insert JPEG files when filling out the form and how do I allow the user to add more fields or groups of fields as needed.

    The type of form yo're describing is possible if you create it in LiveCycle Designer. It may also be possible in Acrobat, but there are certain restrictions. The type of form is known as a dynamic XFA form. LiveCycle Designer is not available on the Mac, so you'd have to install the software on a Windows machine and learn how to create this type of form. The LiveCycle Designer forum here is a good resource for getting more help.
    Reader 11 now supports creating new pages using templates with a form that you create in Acrobat (Acroform). This requires some JavaScript programming. It also adds support for using a button to display a page from a PDF, which can be an image or anything else a PDF can be. So the user would click a button, be prompted to import a page from an existing PDF, and the button (or a different button) displays it as its icon. This would require the user to convert the image to PDF first, which is relatively easy these days (e.g., using Preview on the Mac, or Word on Mac/Windows). This too involves a bit of JavaScript programming, but it's very simple and straightforward.

    Hi c3 cyber club,
    Unfortunately FormCentral and Echosign are two different services and forms created in Forms central can only be submitted via and to Forms Central.
    We cannot have the form filled in using FormCentral and get it signed using Echosign.
    However, you can use Echosign directly and you can get most of the functionality.
    Thanks,
