Accessing ActiveX DLL pre-installed in client PC

Is there any way to access ActiveX object which is already
installed as an ActiveX DLL in client (local) PCs?
In the Flash, I want to instanciate an object of ActiveX
class and to access its methods and properties.
Thanks,
Joseph H.

no because Flash is kraaap and not a real development
tool

  • OS pre-instaled CM12 Client, but it can not automatically find site after joining Domain

    Background:
    we update sccm 2007 to sccm 2012 r2
    For New PC, the OS pre-installed with our image by PC Vendor. The image has sccm 2012 client. So when users get the new pc, we only need to join the domain.
    After joining the domain, 2012 client will never automatic locate the site code base on AD.
    I do some testing.
    Install client in the domain pc with parameter SMSSITECODE=AUTO, the site code can be located
    Install client in the workgroup pc firstly, the join the domain. Client will never automatic locate the site code base on AD
    But If I  click Find Site in the Advanced tab of the Configuration Manager Properties in
    the Control Panel. The site code can be located.

    I'm going to guess you're running 2007 and 2012 side by side, in which case you need to look at your boundary groups.  In 2007 you simply had boundaries, in 2012 if you don't make boundary groups and assign boundaries and site site assignment to said
    group nothing will happen.
    If you have upgraded your infrastructure completely to 2012 but haven't upgraded all of your clients yet ... what you should be seeing is the opposite:  2007 clients wont check into 2012 unless you enable automatic client upgrade.  Then there's
    if you have overlapping site codes between the two systems.
    Better detail See:
    https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg682060.aspx
    Assignment scenario
    Assignment outcome
    You have used automatic site assignment and your System Center 2012 Configuration Manager boundaries overlap with Configuration Manager 2007 boundaries.
    The client automatically tries to find a System Center 2012 Configuration Manager site.
    The client first checks Active Directory Domain Services and if it finds a System Center 2012 Configuration Manager site published, site assignment succeeds. If this is not successful
    (for example, the System Center 2012 Configuration Manager sites is not published or the computer is a workgroup client), the client then checks for site information from its assigned management point.
    Note
    You can assign a management point to the client during client installation by using the Client.msi property SMSMP=<server_name>.
    If both these methods fail, site assignment fails and you must manually assign the client.
    You have assigned the System Center 2012 Configuration Manager client by using a specific site code rather than automatic site assignment, and mistakenly specified a site code for a Configuration
    Manager 2007 site.
    Site assignment fails and you must manually reassign the client to a System Center 2012 Configuration Manage

  • Accessing Oracle Server without Installing Oracle Client

    Hi
    I work on a linux based server which would be installed with Oracle Server. My problem is that I dont want to install Oracle Client on every client workstation since there are 1500 PCs in my company.
    Could anyone help me on this?
    Please note that all of the workstation are using Windows Operating System.
    Thanks
    Antony

    I do not believe such an animal exists. Since Oracle's wire protocol is proprietary, reverse engineering it is a very significant investment.
    If you need to access the Oracle server without installing the Oracle client, can you use the thin JDBC driver?

  • CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.dll not installed on client

    I developped a small test application in VS 2010 that uses a reportviewer. The report has its own connection to a database and only accepts parameters at startup. When I try to run this program on a client computer, the program fails with an error message that the above mnetioned dll cannot be found. That is correct, as the .dll is not present. On my development computer it is present in the C:\Program Files\SapBusinessObjects\...\dotnet folder. On the client this folder contains just one .dll. I installed .Net 4 on it and I used the 32 bit runtime installer. The client's OS is win 7 starter.
    What is wrong?

    Fairly new to VS 2010.  I have the exact same issues that were described in this discussion.
    However, I do not understand how to make a deployment project, and I especially don't understand what you included in your deployment project.
    What, exactly, was installed using the deployment project?  Did it have the runtime installer .msi?  The results of the runtime installer?
    Any help would be appreciated.

  • Can I install Oracle client on Mac os X version 10.4.6?

    Hello,
    My os version:
    ProductName: Mac OS X
    ProductVersion: 10.4.6
    BuildVersion: 8I127
    The processor information is "Dual 800 MHz PowerPC G4 2MB L3 cache per processor"
    Memory 1 GB SDRAM
    120 gig hard drive
    I would like to install the Oracle client software so i can run sql*Plus. I'm looking at the quick install guide and it says that "Only Mac OS X Server is supported." and it also says "The operating system version must be Apple Mac OS X Server 10.3.6"
    Why would Oracle only create an Oracle client that runs on a mac server? Is this information correct? or can I go ahead and install the client on my machine?
    Thank you,
    David

    No luck for me. :( Even gave total access to the directory and files. But the location of the lib file is not any directory on my machine.
    Thanks for any help you can provide.

  • Installing XE Client en Windows 7 and using OLEDB

    Hello,
    I'm trying to use XECLient with OLEDB on Win 7 but when installing XE client on Windows 7, the "Oracle Provider for OLE DB" doesn't appear in the Providers List (ex : in a udl file).
    I've tried to do this "regsvr32 OraOLEDB10.dll" and this is ok (dll registered successfully). But still no Oracle Provider !
    I need help please !
    Thanks.

    Hi there !
    I have the same problem On Windows 7 Professional 32bits (on several PC).
    After installing XEClient as an Administrator.
    I can't connect to my server with OLEDB (MS Access 2010).
    I have error message "provider not found" or sometimes it will just crash without going to VBA error handler !
    If I "regsvr32 OraOLEDB10.dll" sometimes it works an sometimes it does not.
    But anyway it won't help for the connexion.
    Sometimes launching sqlplus will crashes also ! But will work if I launch it as a Administrator.
    There is a workaround : installing OracleXE (the database) on the same machine will resolve the problem..
    Then we can just stop the unused Oracle services with MSConfig.
    When I install OracleXE.exe I see that my user get the ORA_DBA groupe...
    If someone can help finding a better solution...
    Thx all !

  • Unable to copy file D018 error on pre-install

    Hi,
    We're on NW6.5 SP5 with ZFD4.01 IR6. We tried to rollout a series of
    lights-out pre-install apps to workstations (NT 4.0 SP6b) on Friday and had
    98 out of 262 workstations fail with the following error:
    "Unable to copy file [\\unc path\939.fil] [D018]"
    Workstations do have RF rights to the unc path where the nal files are
    stored (via rights to the container hosting the workstations), and the macro
    Source_Path is right, all the usual troubleshooting 'D018' checks are ok.
    I've checked the AXT file and the Directory Create command comes before the
    File Copy. Weirdly, only some of the workstations failed, and all on the
    same file, which goes to c:\program files\blah\blah\blah and is called
    _alphapm.exe.
    To ensure this ran out ok we temporarily lowered the workstation refresh
    frequency to 1 min, and the nal ran to all machines in about 6 minutes.
    What could be the cause of only some of the machines failing, and all on the
    same file?
    Thanks,
    Steve Law

    Hi,
    I've been troubleshooting this issue and now have Zenworks debug logs, which
    I've managed to capture for both a machine that succesfully installed a
    pre-install nal and one that failed for the same urn of the same nal. I'm
    hoping someone can explain what might be happening. Here's the crucial
    portion of the failed nal from zapplib.log:

    The log for the successful workstation is below. As per previous posts I
    checked that the same Windows file and folder rights exist on both the
    workstations, and the existing file that was to be overwritten
    (C:\Lamda5\Dlls\CLIENTSTATEMENTS.DLL) was not set to read-only.
    The "FindFirstFile Failed to find any file matching blah blah blah" message
    suggests that the problem is related more to accessing the source file on
    the server (4.fil) than in writing it to the workstation.
    This was a test to 10 machines, the report shows that, chronologically, 2
    workstations installed it fine and then the ensuing 8 failed. I can't think
    of anything that would lock the 4.fil file - as these are reads they
    shouldn't actually lock the file anyway. We run McAfee Netshield 4.63, but
    it's set to scan inbound files, not outbound reads.
    Any suggestions as to why it was able to read the file for one workstation
    and not on another? I have had greater success when I've activated "spread
    from start time" over a 15 minute period, but still had one failure out of
    ten. A tool that logged all file locks would be useful but I can't find
    anything.
    Thanks,
    Steve Law

  • IM not pre installed in 6700 classic

    Hi
    I bought a Nokia 6700 classic from ebay which was locked to Orange network. I was trying to activate IM client in the phone but as seen from support forum it seems that IM client should have been pre-installed in 6700 classic. The problem is that my phone does not have that. There is no menu  for accessing IM as given in user manual. I went for software update but for no use. I was wondering what is to be done now.

    Hey everyone,
    Those of you that spent a lot of time watching PBS (and more recently BBC America) would recognize this one: Are You Being Served?
    The thing that I remember most vividly about the series, of course, is Mrs. Slocombe's ever-changing hair color.
    As far as Golden Girls, Designing Women and Soap are concerned though they have all been released in DVD format over the past couple of years:
    Golden Girls
    Designing Women
    Soap
    Hope this helps you out!

  • Need help installing 9i CLIENT on redhat linux

    I'm getting very confused trying to figure this out. I'm completely new to Oracle, but not new to Linux. I've read the installation docs, but everything seems to assume that you are going to be installing the full database. I'm not sure what I need to do if I'm just installing the client.
    I'm going to be accessing a remote Oracle database with read-only access from ColdFusion, so all I'll be doing is running queries - no updating or creation of records. Do I need to install the runtime version of the client? Should I run a custom install and just install the OracleNet and SQL*Plus components?
    Is there any documentation with step by step instructions for JUST installing the client? I can't tell from the full documentation if I need to do all the pre-install and post-install stuff if all I'm installing is the client.
    Any and all help on this would be appreciated. The documentation I can find outside of Oracle's all assume that I've already installed the client, and Oracle's documentation is just confusing me further because it is so fragmented.
    Many thanks,
    Mary

    Hello Mary,
    I don't know ColdFusion, but I asume you need at least SQL*Net to connect to the remote db.
    So run the installer you have (even if you have only the full db software cd's) and select custom install (or manual product selection), there you should select sqlnet and sqlplus the rest will be selected by the installer (dependecies). If it is not automaticly called you have to configure sqlnet afterwards therefor you can execute netca in the $ORACLE_HOME/bin directory or netmgr, I don't know at the moment which is the best one for you. This tools will create your tnsnames.ora config file for the remote db settings.
    Hope this helps a little, Olaf

  • MSO.DLL not installed with "office home and small business 2013"

    Hello,
    In my 32 bits application, I use the IInPlacePrintPreview interface on a "word.document" OLE object to show a preview of a word document.
    That's work fine with Office 2013 Standard Edition (32 bits) on a Windows 7 x64 Edition, but my application crash with "office home and small business 2013" (32 bits).
    I have noticed that the call to query the IInPlacePrintPreview interface on the OLE object load the mso.dll of Office into memory.
    The mso.dll is installed with the Office 2013 Standard Edition, but not with the "office home and small business 2013" Edition.
    I guess the problem is the lack of
    mso.dll.
    Do you know why the mso.dll is necessary for the preview of a word document ?
    How do I install and configure mso.dll on a
    "office home and small business 2013" edition ?
    Thanks for your help.

    Hi,
    You may try the ODT (Office Deployment Tool) to configure the Configuration.xml file and install the Office 2013 Home and Business edition.
    Please refer to the following steps:
    1. Downloading ODT from: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=36778
    2. After downloading the ODT, there will be a Configuration.xml file ODT installed folder. Modify the Configuration.xml file as below so that we can download home business package.
    <Configuration>
       <Add SourcePath="D:\Office\" OfficeClientEdition="32" >
        <Product ID="HomeBusinessRetail">
          <Language ID="en-us" />
        </Product>
      </Add>
       <Updates Enabled="TRUE" UpdatePath="D:\Office\" />
       <Display Level="None" AcceptEULA="TRUE" />
       <Logging Path="%temp%" />
       <Property Name="AUTOACTIVATE" Value="1" />
    </Configuration>
    For more information regarding to the ODT, you can refer to the following link:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj219422(v=office.15).aspx
    Should you have any questions, please feel free to let me know. many thanks!
