Accessing EJBs through LCES2 SDK Service Forms

Hello,
I try to use this sample (here) to create a Forms Service access from a servlet but I  find "ALC-DSC-031-000: com.adobe.idp.dsc.net.DSCNamingException: Failed to search remote  EJBObject for the supplier dejb / call.
I did a default installation of LiveCycle ES2 (JBoss, MySQL).
I use Glassfish 3 to create the site using the service Forms through a servlet.
I observed that execption is thrown when using the service renderPDFForm by formsClient.
I wonder if the problem is with the port 1099 for DSC_DEFAULT_EJB_ENDPOINT.
But I do not know whether this port works and if the problem actually comes from.
Can you help me ?

I slightly modified the code :
String fileName = "rideau1.jpg";
File oneImg = new File("C:\\" + fileName);
FileInputStream fileAttachment = new FileInputStream(oneImg);Document attachment1 = new Document(fileAttachment);
Map<String, Document> fileAttachments = new HashMap<String, Document>();
fileAttachments.put(fileName, attachment1);
I'm sure image exists, file exists but attachement1 is empty...
oneImg getPath : C:\rideau1.jpg
fileAttachments : {rideau1.jpg=}
fileAttachment available : 15872
But normally I'm able to null in function renderPDFForm as fileAttachements...
The problem can be put there by URLSpec ?

  • How can I access EJB  through executable jar file?

    Hello buddies!!
    I wonder if anyone could give me an explanation of how accessing EJB through executable jar file?Thanks!!

    Hi there,
    You'll need to install the J2EE SDK on the client and include the <j2ee install dir>\lib\j2ee.jar file in your CLASSPATH along with the Client Jar file that was generated by the deploytool when you deployed the application.
    In your client code the Context properties are as follows:
    Properties p = new Properties();
    p.put(Context.INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY, "com.sun.jndi.cosnaming.CNCtxFactory");
    p.put(Context.PROVIDER_URL, "iiop://hostname:portnumber");
    Context cntx = new InitialContext(p).Hope this helps

  • Security exception while trying to access EJB from stand alone client

    Hi!, I am trying a sample EJB application to R&D some security related issues. I want to access EJB through a web application as well as a stand-alone client. I have set approriate <method-permission> in EJB deployment descriptor. I am using users.properties/roles.properties file for authentication mechanism. I am using JBoss 3.2.
    - On the web application side I am using BASIC authentication and the servlet is able to access the EJB OK, as long as I am using a login/password that has access to the EJB.
    - Now I am trying to access the EJB using a stand alone Java class. These are the things I have tried till now:
    =>Created a InitialContext with appropriate principal, credentials and tried getting a reference to EJB home interface. That resulted in security exception.
    =>Logged into a LoginContext by using appropriate JBossSX classes and then tried getting a EJB home interface. Again security exception.
    Now I am not sure what to do. I read at some places about client side container but not sure what that is. Does anyone has any ideas to try? Is there any other way I can make a swing application and a web application authenticate to EJB container?
    Also can anyone point me to any documentation that gives some idea about how the security credentials gets propagated from web application/standalone client to EJB container?

    It would be better if you can post your code...and DD that way we can help you better

  • Tunneling vs. Web Service to access EJB's through firewall

    I need to be able to access EJB's from a client application when the server is
    behind a firewall. Seems like I have two options:
    1) Use WebLogic's built-in http-tunneling support.
    2) Use WebLogic to generate a web service for each bean and then modify the client
    application to use the generated SOAP stubs instead of having direct EJB references.
    Now I know either option will result in slower performance as compared to direct
    EJB references, but I'm not sure which is worse. Has BEA done any comparison
    of the two approaches to know which one is expected to perform better than the
    other? Any guidence someone can provide is greatly appreciated.

    If performance is your primary concern that it would be best to
    benchmark both. I suspect the performance difference will greatly
    depend on what types you are marshalling.Yep, I was curious about the same thing and tried some benchmarking - depending
    on what was marshalled, or course, SOAP performance hit vs binary protocol was
    not as bad as i expected it to be.
    However, a web service client would offer some nice advantages. Your
    client application would be a lot more flexible.But there will be some functionality loss over RMI.

  • Access Services forms/views in SharePoint 2013

    So, in my enterprise we're about to upgrade to SP 2013 from 2010, and Office 2013 from 2007. Should be a hoot!
    I'm interested in learning more about Access Services. I undertand that Access Services forms, now called views, are based on HTML 5. Can we present an Access form/view in the browser that has conditional formatting like we're used to in InfoPath--the ability

    Thanks!

    Yes. It is possible but not as flexible as InfoPath. We can still use Infopath BTW.

  • Access metadata fields through a custom Service Class

    Hi all,
    I have to create a custom component for Oracle Content Server. I need to access metadata fields from a custom Service Class.
    Can you directly access metadata through a java class or to pass parameters (metadata fields) from a web page to java class? How?
    Are there other solutions?
    Thanks, ale

    I'm not sure if I understand exactly what you are after, but here is some information.
    If your url is http://someserver/idc/idcplg?IdcService=CUSTOM_SERVERY&Parm1=A&Parm2=B
    Then in your java code you can use the binder.getLocal method to get those values.
    String strParm1 = binder.getLocal("Parm1");
    you may have to use binder or m_binder (depends on the variable name in your specific situation).

  • Exposing EJB interfaces as Web Service

    Hi all,
    I created a prototype using EJBs and Web Services and found out that JDeveloper only allows to expose as Web
    Services the Remote interfaces of EJBs and not the Local ones.
    Assuming I have included Local and Remote interfaces for each of my EJBs exposed, my questions is, after deploying the application on OC4J 10g are the Web Services accessing the EJBs through the Local interface (I assume it should) but then why I am only allowed to expose the Remote one as Web Service?
    TIA,
    Best Regards,
    Giovanni

    Hi,
    no, inbound interfaces can only call web services
    that are exposed on some other web servers
    only outobund XI interfaces can be exposed as web services
    (in this case XI acts as a web server)
    and other applicaitons can call this outbound interface

  • Command bean or webservice for accessing EJB

    Hi Experts,
    I Want to access an Enterprise archieve DC created for EJB Module DC, through WebDynpro DC.
    Now I know that there are two ways to access EAR DC through webDynpro:
    1) Command bean
    2) Web Services
    Can anybody suggest the pros and cons of this two methods?
    Also please suggest which one to choose.
    Regards,
    Ashish Shah

    Hi,
    to access EJBs from WD, you can use the EJB3.0 model importer (a new feature introduced with NW CE). There's a good tutorial explaining that <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwce10/helpdata/en/45/f7f744aea471fae10000000a1553f6/frameset.htm">here</a>.
    The Web services way should also work, but it means that you "wrap" the EJB, which is not needed in this case, I believe.
    Hope it helps!

    needed RCA ... plz help..

    Hi,
    From your description, you can send and receive messages only when you use OWA after migration from Exchange 2007 to Exchange 2013. If I have misunderstood your concern, please let me know.
    In your case, I recommend you create a new test mailbox in your Exchange 2013 and check if you can send and receive messages on Outlook. If yes, it is recommended to create a new profile to solve this issue.
    Hope this can be helpful to you.

  • EJB 3.0 Web Service

    Hi!
    I tried to create a Web Service (through wizard) from existing EJB 3.0 Session Bean. Basicly, the wizard just added @WebService annotation to my existing code...
    Now, the problem is that simple methods like:
    @WebMethod
    public String helloWorld() {
      return "Hello World!";
    }works fine. Expect that if I use Local Interface for this Session Bean, the WSDL shows two helloWorld methods (and one is with exclamation icon showing some kind of problem with multiple methods with same name - but it is not true, I have one and the other one is just interface).
    But, when I want to expose my real business service methods like:
    @WebMethod
    public List<Employee> getEmployees() {
      return (List<Employee>)q.getResultList();
    }it doesn't work (the Web Service create wizard finishes ok but service doesn't work)! When I try "Test Web Service" (from Session Bean context-menu) or "Show WSDL for Web Service annotations" the error is thrown (Null pointer exception in WSDL).
    Basically, it looks to me that Web Service cannot use EJB Entities as parameters or results. Is this correct? I saw some examples on EJB 3.0 web services and there are entities routinely used as both input and output parameters.
    Can someone, please, explain me what I'm doing wrong here.
    Thanks in advance,
    Pedja
    P.S. In Web Service wizard, only SOAP 1.1 is enabled. How can I choose SOAP 1.2? And what EJB 3.0 bindings are in same context (SOAP 1.2 or EJB 3.0 bindings?)?

    Hi Frank,
    Most of those problems are resolved (NPE was due to Timestamp field, and two methods with the same name in WSDL because of not choosing to generate SEI in wizard, so the generated WSDL had one method from the Session bean and the other from it's Local interface). But, the errors should DEFINITELY be more descriptive.
    Does the wizard work correctly? I noticed plenty of "bug like" details. For example, if I choose to create asynchronous web service, later when I go to Properties the "Asynchronous Web Service" checkbox isn't checked. Also, the @WebMethod annotations are sometimes generated and sometimes not (even if the method is checked to be exposed).
    I am also getting these exceptions when I create a proxy for the asynchronous web service (I selected "Generate asynchronous methods for all operations"), could be I'm doing something wrong:
    WARNING: The parameter/return type "java.util.concurrent.Future" in the method

    I am just wondering about the method to secure web service through oracle web service manager.
    I have a unsecure web service "helloworld" which is deployed on JWSDP1.6 toolkit.I want to secure it through oracle web service manager.
    Inorder to secure this unsecure web service,I use gateway(web service manager for securing web service using message level security through certificate).

  • Error while accessing data from MS Access DB through Window AD architec

    Dear Members,
    Iam having a BO 3.0 installation on a standalone PC with the basic tomcat and mysql setup... As a test environment, Now while designing universes i can easily connect to Oracle EBS structure also SQL server DB ... the problem is when iam linking to a MS Access DB through a network drive (its all ok in the designer) but while in Webi while runnning the query, it throws an error of (WIS 10901 .... database error DSN not specified)
    I have configured ODBC properly also given appropriate rights for the users and strangely the same universe is running well with my thick client desktop and webi rich client
    (so iam sure its not a odbc issue)
    Looking forward for any comments on this problem

    possibly the account running the webi report server doesn't have access to the drive. Is it local system? Try using the same account you are logged into the webi rich client as, but you will most likely need to grant that account local admin on the server so it can run the service.
