Accessing OAPageContext from session

Hi,
I want to get hold of the OAPageContext object,which already exists in the current transaction or session.i want to access it in custom java class.Is this possible?Can anyone please help me out with this.
For eg:
If I have something like this in a Controller class:
ProcessFormRequest(OAPageContext oap,OAWebBean oaw){}
How Can I get this OAPageContext Object in my custom java class or servlet?
Thanks in Advance

The iFS API can be used by ANY Java application, including beans. You just have to make sure that the iFS classpath is set correctly for your Java application. Read the developer documentation here on OTN for more info. We don't have an example for your specific application, but the patterns are the same. You connect to iFS using a LibraryService, etc. You can do this in your bean.

  • Accessing the browser session from a Web Start application.

    I am redeploying my applets as applications (JFrame) in the Web Start architecture. Is there a way for these applications to access the browser session that they were opened from? This was provided for me when I was opening my applets in a browser popup window (window.open()).

    To access the session, pass the session id in the jnlp file (this is assuming your jnlp file is generated dynamically by a servlet).
    Create another servlet to return whatever objects you want from the server session (call this servlet RetObject, lets say).
    When you access RetObject using a URLConnection, append ;jsessionid=<sessionid> to the servlet url
    e.g.,
    http://server/RetObject;jsessionid=hjh232323232jhkjh
    (for websphere, this variable may be csessionid. jsessionid works on weblogic and on tomcat).
    Use ObjectInputStream to receive objects from the servlet.

    Have you created XA data source? If yes then make sure that in connection factory you are assigning the JNDI name of data-source in XAdataSource property (NOT in datasource property). Also make sure that your datasource is up and running and you are updating the dbadapter after creating connection factory.

  • Communications Express doesn't create access Manager SSO session

    Hi all,
    I'm running Communications Express, Sun Access Manager and Sun messaging server, each on seperate hosts.
    Single Sign On works i.e. when users have a valid session and point their browser at the Communications Express URL they can access their mail, calendar and addressbooks without further ado.
    When they don't have a valid session though and the users go to the Communications Express URL they get a username and password prompt. If they enter valid credentials they will be logged in, but the session created is only a local session, not an Access Manager SSO session. This behaviour has changed from the previous versions of Comm Exp which wouldn't work at all without SSO.
    Is it possible to configure communications express to either redirect users to the Access Manager's authentication page or have Comm Exp create the SSO session on the users behalf?
    TIA
    Herman
    Versions:
    - Communications Express 6.3 update 1
    - Sun Java(tm) System Messaging Server 6.3-4.01 (built Aug 3 2007; 32bit)
    libimta.so 6.3-4.01 (built 17:13:29, Aug 3 2007; 32bit)

    Hi Shane,
    as always your anwer is better then I could have expected. A more or less complete manual
    just hours after asking my question. Thanks!
    shane_hjorth wrote:
    The cleanest solution I could develop to address the behavioural change was to
    leverage a web-server policy agent to perform the redirections.
    I wrote up a guide but never received any feedback unfortunately so results-may-vary.
    I have republished this guide externally - feedback is welcome:
    http://msg.wikidoc.info/index.php/AM_redirection_using_Policy_AgentTook me some time to implement, test and write feedback:
    The setup we have is a little more complex then the a single box scenario you
    have tested on:
    From the internet working inwards we have load balanced
    SSL accelerators (apache+SSL doing reverse proxy) in front of
    dedicated application servers running communications express.
    Mail is retrieved from separate mail-store clusters.
    Access manager is configured similarly: load balanced SSL accelerators
    in front of application servers running the login page (disributed
    authentication UI). Those then talk to the access manager cluster.
    Firewalls and access lists between each of those layers. None of the
    applications can be accessed directly from the internet and they are
    limited in what they can access in the DMZ as well.
    I followed your recipe to the letter. After a bit of tweaking everything
    worked like a charm. Policy agent installed and configured on the
    SUN webserver where communications express is deployed.
    Instructions were very good on detail and easy to follow.
    We deploy uwc in the root of the server not in /uwc. Something I didn't notice right away.
    It would seem that the policy agent expects the values com.sun.am.naming.url
    (The URL for the Access Manager Naming service) and
    com.sun.am.policy.am.login.url (The URL of the login page on the Access Manager
    where users should enter their credentials) to be the same host.
    In our setup the URL/host users have to use to log in can't be accessed by the policy agent.
    The policy agent should verify sessions directly against the access manager cluster.
    I played with some of the override settings in the policy agent configuration file but
    without much success. Eventually I used the hostname our users have to use to log
    in and abused the /etc/hosts file to map the external hostname to the internal address
    of the access manager cluster. Users end up on the correct login page, and the policy
    agent can verify the sessions. Ugly, but it works.
    The other issue is that the policy agent redirects to:
    com.sun.am.policy.am.login.url?goto=URL_Protected_by_Policy_Agent
    When a users enters incorrect credentials they get the default login url, without the
    goto parameter. (May be bug in access manager or by design...) After entering their
    credentials correctly on their second or third try users won't be redirected back to UWC,
    but will end up on the default page defined by their iplanet-am-user-success-url LDAP attribute.
    I solved that in the policy agents configuration file by adding the gotoOnFail=URL in the
    definition of com.sun.am.policy.am.login.url:
    com.sun.am.policy.am.login.url = https://login.domain.com:443/amserver/UI/Login?gotoOnFail=https://uwc.domain.com:443When you enter incorrect credentials you'll be redirected back to uwc (where the policy agent
    will again intercept you and send you on to the login page for your next try). May be more of
    an issue in the policy agent then your manual.

    Herman

    You may need to configure the connection settings in the deployment descriptor (i.e. DbAdapter.rar#META-INF/weblogic-ra.xml) and restart the server.  This exception is considered retriable, likely due to a communication failure.  To classify it as non-retriable instead add property nonRetriableErrorCodes with value "0" to your deployment descriptor (i.e. weblogic-ra.xml).  To auto retry a retriable fault set these composite.xml properties for this invoke: jca.retry.interval, jca.retry.count, and jca.retry.backoff.  All properties are integers.

    Its hard to say what is going on.  Though the message says the error is in obtaining a TopLink session, the exception stack has nothing to do with TopLink, and the error seems to be coming from oracle.tip.adapter.db.toplinkext.NameEnquoter.init() directly calling weblogic.jdbc.wrapper.Connection.getMetaData() on what must be a stale or closed connection.  This looks like a DB adapter application, so you might want to post this question there as they might be able to help configure your datasource appropriately for the application.

  • Jintegra problem - accessing Matlab from Java??

    Hi:
    Sorry if this post doesn't belong here!!
    I am accessing Matlab from JAVA using JIntegra for COM. I tried running the example in their website.
    (http://j-integra.intrinsyc.com/support/com/doc/other_examples/Matlab.htm)
    I have also posted the example below. I am using their trial version and have included all the jars as said. I get the an unexpected output (all zero's) for reading a variable in the matlab workspace. I don't understand why I get this. Can anyone let me know if this runs for you??
    Thanks
    Pavan
    Example code from Jintegra website:
    public class MatlabExample {
    public static void main(java.lang.String[] args) throws Exception {
    try {
    // DCOM authentication: Make sure NT Domain, NT User, NT Password are valid credentials.
    // Uncomment this line if MatlabExample.java remotely accesses MATLAB :
    // com.linar.jintegra.AuthInfo.setDefault("NT DOMAIN", "NT USER", "NT PASSWORD");
    // Create the MATLAB object
    // Specify host name or IP address of MATLAB machine as parameter if
    // MatlabExample.java remotely accesses MATLAB.
    // mlapp.MLApp mlApp = new mlapp.MLApp("123.456.789.0");
    mlapp.MLApp mlApp = new mlapp.MLApp();
    String result = mlApp.execute("a = [1 2 3 4; 5 6 7 8;]");
    System.out.println("Execute result is " + result);
    double mreal[][] = new double[2][4];
    double mimage[] = new double[0];
    mlApp.getFullMatrix("a", "base", new Object[]{mreal}, new Object[]{mimage});
    for (int i = 0; i < 2; i++) {
    for (int j = 0; j < 4; j++) {
    System.out.println(mreal[i][j]);
    } finally {
    com.linar.jintegra.Cleaner.releaseAll();
    }

    ......How are you declaring the class in your JSP? ... are you instantiating it as a bean using the useBean tag, or just instantiating it in your code like normal.
    Maybe you could post the relevant JSP code too?
    Hello again,
    Only the last string is populating after the file has be tokenized. What I'll like to accomplish is passing the very first string in the file. I did not get too far in the JSP file setup because the code is still in it's testing stage, but any help will be highly appreciated.
    Here is the JSP code
    <%@page import="dev.*" %>
    <%@page session="true" language="java" import="java.io.*" %>
    <jsp:useBean id="wagerhist" scope="request" class="dev.RoundDetail2" />
    <html>
    <head>
    <title>Round Detail</title>

      <table width="530" bordercolor="#000000" valign="top">
        <tr>

  • Can not access FWSM via session command in cisco 6513 (VSS enabled)

    Dear All,
                  Today i received FWSM from cisco (RMA), I need to configure it as standby unit for existing FWSM active/standby setup.
    IOS on RMAed FWSM is 2.3.4 and  cisco VSS supports FWSM IOS 4.0.4 and later.
    My issue is, I cannot access FWSM (IOS 2.3.4) via session command from cisco 6513 but could successfully consoled it without any problem. I have reloaded it twice and also tried to disable and enable power on it.

    You can also type 'exit' at the remote prompt to end the session
    Trying 127.0.1.21 ...
    % Connection timed out; remote host not responding
    Can someone please let me know why I cannot access FWSM through session command ?
    Whether this is because of older IOS ? If yes then how to upgrade its IOS ?
    Is it possible to upgrade IOS via FWSM console ? if yes, please let me know.
    Do i need to test on different slot ?
    Look forward to hearing from someone.
    Thanks & Regards
    Ahmed...

    There is a limitation that FWSM running version older than 4.0.4 will not accept session from the switch if the FWSM is not seated into switch 1 AND if switch 1 is not active.
    So to upgrade the FWSM you either need to use the console or put the FWSM physically in switch 1.
    Thanks,
    Jeroen

  • Problem accessing ejb from servlet

    Hi,
    I'm aving a problem accessing a stateful session bean from a servlet. I'm using a jndi lookup to do it because I need that a client has its own bean reference...
    My code into the service method is:
    InitialContext ctx;
    try {
    ctx = new InitialContext();
    carrelloService = (CarrelloLocal)ctx.lookup("java:comp/env/ejb/Carrello");
    and I have a reference to EJB into web.xml:
    <ejb-local-ref>
    <ejb-ref-name>ejb/Carrello</ejb-ref-name>
    <ejb-ref-type>Session</ejb-ref-type>
    <local-home></local-home>
    <local>carrello.model.CarrelloLocal</local>
    </ejb-local-ref>
    If I use @EJB annotation to inject the servlet, it works fine.
    Instead using jndi lookup throws a NamingException because it doesn't find java:comp/env/ejb/Carrello entry.
    Any idea about the problem?

    Here's something simple that I have that works:

    1. Is there a way to access object from other schema

    Well, you missed something somewhere. If there is no

    What is the best way of accessing web.xml session-config session-timeout from JSP page ?
    I wish to have this on the JSP page and also have it count down automatically.
    I did this by creating a propery in the session bean and then used javascript to count it down.
    Is there a better way ? Simpler Way ?

    I did this by creating a propery in the session bean and then used javascript to count it down.
    Is there a better way ? Simpler Way ?

  • Is there a way I can access my previous session in order to restore it?

    I have version 3.6.17. I just updated it. In my previous version, I had the restore session setting set. The way it worked was, if I clicked Mozilla and multiple windows came up (including the "restore previous session") one and I accidentally closed the "restore previous session" window, the next time I clicked Mozilla, the "restore previous session" window would come up. However, that didn't happen with this newer version. So, I was wondering if there was any possible way I could possibly access my previous session in order to restore it (i.e., type something in the location bar)? I am also using Windows XP. Also, this happened June 23, 2011. Please help! I want to find my tabs again. I had 2 separate windows open. Please help! Thanks.

    If iTunes does not see your iPod then your only hope is a data recovery company. Not cheap.
    However, you may be able to get some photos by:
    Photos
    - If they are in an iPod backup then restore another iPOd, iPhone or iPad from that backup. See the restore topic of:

    - If you used PhotoStream then try getting them from your PhotoStream. See that topic of:

  • How to create ErrorLog file from Session EJB

    Hi my friends,
    I have the need to write the Exception Errors from Session EJBs into log file. The problem is my project is the multi-user application and many EJBs' user transactions need to log the errors to only one log file, if I use EJB named ErrorLogWriter as the main component for log file writer and the other EJBs just reference to this EJB to log the errors, each request will create one instance of ErrorLogWriter therefore we can't access to only one log file. Somebody told me that it should be OK if we use servlet as the log file writer because only one servlet instance is initialized for multi-requests, and the other EJBs just call this servlet. Do you have any ideas or suggestion for this matter? If using servlet is the right solution, can I call servlet method from Session EJBs? and how?
    Thanks in advance for any help

  • Concurrent access to JMS session in servlet

              We have a servlet that accepts a request from a browser,
              retrieves info from the request, places it in a JMS message and
              then sends the msg to a JMS Queue. We create all the JMS
              objects (connection, session, etc.) at init time (all these
              objects have class scope). There is only one session and I was
              wondering because servlets are multithreaded, while a request is
              being handled for one client, if there is a context switch in
              the middle of that client's send in order to handle another
              client's request, two different threads will be accessing the
              same session concurrently. I know the spec advises against
              this. Am I thining too much on this one????? All I have to do
              is synchronize the send call however I was just wondering if it
              was truely necessary.
              How are other people doing this out there?
              Let me know,
              Mark

    Hi Mark,
              You are definitely not thinking too much on this one! Multi-threading
              session access is unsafe and is definitely against spec. Either
              synchronize
              access, or, if performance is an issue, make sure each simultaneous
              sender has its
              own session.
              The WebLogic JMS Performance white paper on dev2dev.bea.com
              contains an example of a producer pool that looks like it should map
              well to your use case.
