Accessing Server Generated Files

How can I allow our users to access Server Generated Excel spreadsheets that are
not part of the ear/war. For example, the excel spreadsheets are dumped into
the directory
\bea\user_projects\WebDevelopment and I want to create an html link that accesses
the spreadsheets in that directory without the files being archived in the ear/war
file.

"The Outlook 2010 .prf file format has changed but Microsoft Office Outlook 2007, Office Outlook 2003, and Outlook 2002 versions of the file will work with Outlook 2010."
I was using Office2010 setup to generate a prf file and import it on Outlook2007 so maybe that's the problem.
I'll try generating a prf using Office2007 setup and see how it goes!

OAM Access Server - Cannot load cert chain file aaa_chain.pem

Hi experts,
I am in the midst of changing the Transport Layer Security (TLS) of OAM Access Server from Open mode to Cert mode, and encountering the error not able to load aaa_chain.pem.
Below are the steps which I have did:-
1. Change the TLS mode for both Access Server and Webgate from Open >> Cert mode in the Access System console
2. Stop the Access Server from Services
3. From the <access server install dir> run ConfigureAAAServer.exe to generate aaa_req.pem and aaa_key.pem.
4. Copy the certificate request from the aaa_req.pem and submit to Internal CA (Ms CA).
5. Download the Certificate and Certificate Chain in Base 64 encoding, and rename into *.pem. E.g. certnew.cer >> aaa_cert.pem certnew.p7b >> aaa_chain.pem.
6. Copy *.pem files in to <access server install dir>/oblix/config
7. Rerun ConfigureAAAServer.exe to install the cert, all went smoothly without issue.
8. Start Access Server from Services. <<< Service failed to start.
NOTE: I did the same thing for Policy Manager, used genCert.exe to generate certificate request, submit the CA to sign and installed.
Check on the event viewer, the following error was found.

I had the same problem: IMAP & POP services would not launch using SSL. Finally got it resolved today. It had nothing to do with certificates and their names, or creating them in openssl, and everything to do with a botched dovecot.conf file, courtesy of Server Admin.
It appears that every time I changed the certificate for IMAP & POP SSL in Server Admin, it appended the new selection to the dovecot.conf file on 3 separate lines. The result was an unhealthy list of every certificate file Server Admin had ever been pointed to for this service.
After making a backup, I edited the file (/etc/dovecot/dovecot.conf) down to the single cert file I wanted it to use. It happened to be first in the list, FWIW.
If you want to duplicate this, look for the lines beginning with:
"sslcertfile"
"sslkeyfile"
"sslcafile"
Obviously you need to be careful in there. But I did not even have to bounce the service before it took my changes. Thankfully, Server Admin did not overwrite my edits (which I've seen happen with manual config of other services, such as the iChat service.)

How to delete the Generated files from application server(open hub)?

when i try to execute process chain the DTP it is giving below dump. Exception CX_RSBK_REQUEST_LOCKED logged.
when i execute the DTP manually and trying to delete the previous request, it is giving for dump ITAB_DUPLICATE_KEY.
so to delete the generated file from application server, how to delete it for specific dates?

The main program was "RSBATCH_EXECUTE_PROZESS ".
In the source code you have the termination point in line 2874
of the (Include) program "GPD6S3OE0BCVGC6L9DBNVYQARZM".
The program "GPD6S3OE0BCVGC6L9DBNVYQARZM" was started as a background job.
and when i check the dump it is point out at below code

Write Access to a file in Tomcat server via J2me Midlet

How to make write access to a file using midlet and HTTP connection?
I have text file in the Tomcat server and I am able to read it with HTTP connection using emulator, but don't have idea how to make write access to the file. I'd like to write some text to the file.

Initially i tried to access pdf file from database server. I didn't get any solution for that. So I copied all my pdf files to Application server which is in Linux environment at "/home2/docs" directory.
I gave the following command for accessing the pdf files kept in Lnux Application Server from Oracle 10g forms in a button press trigger.
web.show_document('http://192.168.1.53:7779/home2/docs/test.pdf');
It says "page cannot be found"
So I copied one of the pdf file named "test.pdf" to "/oracle/oas10g/IasHome/forms90/java" in Linux Application Server . Then the following command
web.show_document('http://192.168.1.53:7779/forms90/java/test.pdf');
has opened the the pdf file in browser.
192.168.1.53 is my Linux Application Server IP. and 7779 is the port.
Actually we have lacs of pdf files. So i cannot keep all the pdf files in "/oracle/oas10g/IasHome/forms90/java" directory in Linux Application Server. And also all the pdf files not in the same directory , "/home2/docs" some of the pdf files r in the subdirectories of "/home2/docs/" like /home2/docs/sub1, /home2/docs/sub2, /home2/docs/sub3 etc.
Then how to configure my "/oracle/oas10g/IasHome/forms90/server/forms90.conf" file for retrieving pdf files from "/home2/docs/" and its subdirectories. Is Anything other than this, required for solving my problems.
Now My PDF files r in LINUX APPLICATION SERVER not in database server.

Server sizing for multi-client Acrobat Reader access of .pdf files

I am trying to specify the appropriate file server (need processor rating & memory size)running Windows 2008 for 64 high tempo users on a LAN accessing large .pdf files (~20 mb each) using Acrobat Reader 8 or 9. Total data package size is about 30 Gig. LAN is Gigabit speed on CAT 6 cable.
Suggestions?

Time is 10:35 PM, Jan 30, 2014 after a day of nerve racking attempts to get Adobe Reader 11.0.6 to open a pdf file I have finally succeeded in doing so. The following apkhan response to my original inquiry, even though it didn't directly help me much, but it gave me an insight that what I was inquiring about in the description of my problem had to do something with the EULA I was inquiring about and couldn't find were and how that is to be done. For whatever reason I had installed Reader 11.0.6 three times throughout the day and still couldn't read a pdf file or see the EULA to agree to it or not. During another installation of Reader 11.0.6 at 9:00PM, 1-30-14, a window appeared and required my administrative password to install the software and rightly so. This is probably the reason why Reader was so dysfunctional, because for whatever reason, this approval window didn't appear during the initial installations but I was allowed to install Reader anyways and the proof of it was it did end up in my Applications Folder-confusing and strange at best. Without my administrative password the software should not have been allowed to be installed and this has always been the case. I will have to dwell upon that one for a while. Anyway, for everyones information, the Mac version of 11.0.6 Adobe Reader doesn't ask for you to click a button to Agree or Not Agree to an EULA verbiage statement. Just above the INSTALL BUTTON (Yellow Background) on the installation window the instructions notes, when you hit the install button you aromatically agree to the EULA and the way you go. I tried getting into the EULA via the Adobe the desktop Icon but to no avail. Hopes this helps someone else. Thanks to those at the Adobe Community that tried to help me with this mind boggling episode.

Accessing a csv file on a resin web server

Hi guys,
Im trying to access a CSV file on a resin web server using the following:
File csvfile = new File("http://localhost:8080/FYP/"+WebCourse2+".csv");
and it does not work
when I use a local file location as follows, it works fine:
File csvfile = new File("C:\\QMULFOLDER0203\\FYP\\Database\\"+WebCourse2+".csv");
Am i doing something wrong?

the only prob with that is that i use the methods exists() and isFile() to make sure the csv file is available and is a file

Hello sir,
i tried to use import/export wizard to import data from an ms access backup file.
I completed it with some warning's.
Wizard has shown that 2 out of three objects(tables and views) are copied to destination database(empty database which i have created for storing this imported data).
And in that process, wizard made me to create a package.
Now how to access that package?
And my newly created database has no data.(i mean it is supposed to have 2 objects which are copied from source right?)
Sorry if my doubt looks silly i have never used ssis or import/export ever before.

Zend framework files on my server generated by FB4

I don't want to put all the zend framework files on my server generated by FB4, what is the minimum I need to upload to get the progect to work with the generated php stuff.

The followng folders have to be present.
Amf, Config, Db, Loader, Reflection, Server, XmlRpc.
These folders along with other php files under ZendFramework\library\Zend are minimum things which have to be uploaded for the php project to work fine.
The total size of the above mentioned folders and files will come upto 2.4 MB.
However, you might loose some functionality like authentication, session management, etc., which are provided by ZendFramework (if you decide to upload only the above mentioned files and folders). If you are not using such functionalities, you need not upload them, there by minimizing the ZendFramework size.

Unable to access server files shares with Active Directory Users

Quick breakdown of my issue.
I have setup a Yosemite file server running the latest version of Yosemite and Server.
File sharing in Server.app is enabled and shares have been created
The server is bound to my company's Active Directory and you can directly login to the computer via AD credentials.
The big issue is this, unless the user has directly walked up to my server and logged into it at least once, they cannot authenticate to the file shares via their AD credentials.
For example: Administrator (me) I can login and access all file shares without issue.
Jane Smith (SMITH) who has actually walked up to my server and logged in via her AD credentials, can also access all file shares. (That she has access to)
John Doe (JDOE) who has not logged into the server in anyway, cannot authenticate to the server file shares at all (even though I have granted him permission) He just gets an "Access Denied" message.
I have gone into Directory Utility and changed the search order to give AD priority and this still doesn't resolve the problem.
We have unbound the server from AD and added in back again and still not able to resolve.
If you open Server.app and go to add someone from AD to a file share, it finds the AD user quickly and everything looks right. but still unable to authenticate to the server if they haven't directly logged into it before?
All of the documentation and google articles I have found say my server is setup correctly, any help would be greatly appreciate it!

I figured this out. In Mountain Lion Server, it doesn't matter if you give the user rights to a shared file or folder, if the user doesn't have access the File Sharing service, they can't get it. I had to find the specific users in the Server app under the AD in the Users tab, and give them rights to the File Sharing service. I think you can do this for a whole AD group as well, but I haven't tried.

Files do not always show in finder when accessing server

When I access our server(PC) files do not always show up in the finder. Sometimes it shows and sometimes it does not. I have to go back and start over. I recently updated to Snow when this problem started happening. Example. If i'm in illustrator and want to open a file on the server I will go to server than to the folder on the server. once the folder is open there is not any files showing. If I go back and start over they will be there. Sometimes I have to do this several time to show files. There are multiple type of files in the folders and none of them show. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

When you are viewing the tracks on the hard disc, did you then click on "Import CD"? This is needed to initiate the importing process that will add the tracks to your library.

If you refer to C:\inetpub\logs\LogFiles, you can delete them manually or use a Powershell script to delete them.

I have installed Sharepoint Foundation 2010 in my server 2012 R2 machine. and I restore my existing content database backup into new site collections. and I'm trying to browse the site collection in window, the below error shown..

Please firstly make sure you installed SharePoint Foundation 2010 with SP2 in a Windows Server 2012 R2. Since only SP2 slipstream installations are supported on Windows Server 2012 R2

Recording video/audio files using Flash Meida Server through rmtp, and allow users to access the recorded files through http.

As titled, what is the way to record video/audio files using Flash Meida Server through rmtp, and allow users to access the recorded files through http?
What I am trying to do, is to record a user's microphone's input and save it to the server. Afterwards, I would like other users to be able to access the recorded files and mainuplating the audio data, by computeSpectrum(), to do some visualization of the audio. As I know computeSpectrum() cannot work on streaming files, so I think I need to access the recorded files using http instead of rmtp. Is that true?
How can I redirect the http request to the files I was recorded into my applications/appName folder? Or I need to somehow moved the recorded files to the /webroot folder?

I probably have asked a stupid question.
My recorded streams are still saved in the applications/appName/streams folder.
And I redirect the www.mydomain.com/streams to point to the applications/appName/streams folder.
And the rmtp recorded streams are abled to connect through http now.
