Accessing the Contact field on a Content Area Programmatically

I'm implementing some functionality to email the owner of a content area when a new document is submitted for
approval.
I have not trouble accessing and manipulating the content areas, folders, regions and items programmatically,
but when I get to the simple bit of looking up the contact for a content area to send the email I can't find the contact
property in any view, all of my WWSBR_% views MAILTO_DISPLAY_NAME values are '0'.
Does anyone have any idea how to access this Contact field (from Edit Folder -> Optional Properties tab) from PL/SQL
(or Java for that matter) either through a view, table or API call?

Ur statement states that

Can u throw some light on the same by possibly sending some codes to achieve the same.Our requirements are as under:-
1)When the content area is added with various privileges to a particular users page he needs to click on edit in order to add Item/folder or manage the same.Is it possible to show(either by customizing or programatically) the same links by doing away with the edit link and directly displaying the privileges(i.e. add item,folder properties) when he logs in.
2)As the situation stands now when a document is uploaded for approval only Portal30 can approve the same though the relevant privileges have been provided for various users.The icon for approval doesnt appear when the content area is added as a portlet.The only way of approval seems to be for portal30 to log in and navigate to the particular content area and click on the same.The items awaiting approval appear with a approve icon wherein he can approve the same.But the same fail to appear when published as a portlet.
Our project is under tight schedule so any help would be a gr8 help.

How to auto-populate the Contact field from a Custom Object

Hi,
I am working on a project where the Contact record is the main focus. I have setup the Contact record as having a one-to-many relationship with CO4. From the Contact Details page I can click on the New button in the Related Record section for CO4 and the Contact from the Details page is auto-populated (which is what I want). I then enter the data into CO4 and click on Save so that the record is displayed in the Related Record section, and then I click into it so that I'm now on the CO4 Details page.
My page layout for CO4 has both Activities and Service Requests as related records, and the page layouts for both of these include the CO4 field and the Contact field. When I click on New for either of these record types, the CO4 field is populated from the previous record but the Contact is not. I realize this is because there is a one-to-many relationship between CO4 and the Activity/SR, but is there any way to also pull over the value in the Contact field?
I also tried this using CO1 which does have a many-to-many relationship (if I understand it correctly), but the Contact field is still not pulling over. Is there a way to make this happen?

This functionality is not available at this time. I would recommend that you submit a enhancement request to customer care.

then unpack and the easiest way is to import with the file system:

IOS5 update for iPhone 4 problem. 2011 KIA hands free telephone system can no longer access the contacts.

My brand new 2011 KIA Optima no longer has the ability to access the contacts on my iPhone4. Everything was working fine under 4.3.5. Is anyone else having trouble with iOS5 and a hands free tel system in their auto? I really miss the ability to verbally access the contacts in my phone while driving. This update has taken a great safety feature away from my ability to drive and speak on the phone.
I have tried the following to no avail.
1) performed a software restore to the phone via iTunes.
2) performed a hard reset to the phone several times.
3) deleted the telephone pairing to the car, performed a new pairing.
4) update telephone to 5.0.1

Only thing I can think of at this point is a full Windows reinstallation. Not actually having the exact same board you have I can't really say for certain that Photoshop CAN work with a 7970.
There is also the possibility that your 7970 is somehow faulty, though you wouldn't think it would work to do the other things you do if that were the case.
All I can say is that I've been doing 3D work all day and the 7850 does work with Photoshop - though to be honest I've had a couple of crashes today when trying to set the color of the 3D Materials. Thankfully Photoshop auto-saved my behind, and when it came back up the same operation to set the material color worked.

Forwarding an email to access the contacts list in the "to" field?

Is there anyway to pull from contacts in the "to" field when forwarding a message instead of typing in first few letters of a name?

Finally find some solution! (complicated)
First you have to move your contacts.cdb file from phone to PC (with filemanager it is in system/Data/contacts.cdb) or you can backup phone to memory card and open backup.arc with nbu explorer then export contacs.cdb to somethere on PC. Then you may try to export contacts by noki software (not freeware), or in my case it doesn't work- just open contacs.cdb with any text editor. Then there is a lot of manual work, you have to find telephone numbers,copy them and dial by your "broken" phone. Contact names will display while dialing, and save in dial history. You can write them and phone you just dialed. Hard work, bro, but this is contacts... Good luck.

when I delete a folder it must automaticle disapear from the tree view.

If you are using the same nav bar you could build a custom nav bar in the shared objects and publish it as a portlet. In the properties of a folder you can assign an image for the nav bar. This could make it look like a tree assuming you build the images that way. Also your folder links should disappear from the nav bar when they are deleted. I think.

One advantage of the external facing portal solution (SP14) is that the framework page is displayed in a single frame. Perhaps this could be of use to you.

Writing a specific text in the title bar of a content area

Hallo,
We have created several Content Areas which will be published as Webpage (NOT as Portlet to a Portal-Page! As example you can visit our Project Homepage http://pan.wsr.ac.at:7778/pls/portal30/url/FOLDER/ACCESSLAB/).
Unfortunatly in the Title bar of the Browser there is always displayed the Title "Portal Content Area Builder".
How can we change this Title to a more descriptive one for each specific Content Area respectively each Folder of a specific Content Area?

The frame title is (typically) set in a native OS frame, which is not controlled by Java.
Perhaps if you tell Java to let the L&F control the frame decorations it might work, but probably not, as it would probably just try to mimic what the OS does anyway, which is to not support HTML.
So basically, you can't.

It seems you are experiencing an issue with contact syncing and management. It seems you've removed an email account which contained a number of contacts that are not associated with your iCloud account. You may want to consider importing the contacts from the email account you removed. You can do it easily by following the steps in this article:

You can import an electronic business card, also called a vCard, into iCloud Contacts. If the vCard contains contact information for more than one person, each contact becomes a separate entry.
In iCloud Contacts, choose Import vCard from the Action pop-up menu , which appears at the bottom of the All Contacts list or a list of group contacts
Select a vCard to import.
The contacts from the vCard are added to the All Contacts group in Contacts. You can add the contacts to any other group by dragging them to the desired group.

The contacts on my iPhone 4S are looking fuzzy, does anybody have this problem?

When my contacts on my Iphone 4S are synced through facebook they look fuzzy and other look normal. If anybody has this problem please tell me how to solve it.

I would suggest restoring the iPhone from backup, if that fails then restore as new as the issue may be something that has become corrupted in the backup http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414.

Sono proprietario di un Iphone4 da un paio di mesi ed ho notato che i contatti memorizzati da chiamate ricevute non entrano nell'archivio CONTATTI .
Cerco di spiegare meglio il problema, indicando qui di seguito la procedura addotta:
1) ricevo una telefonata (o in alternativa compongo un numero dal tastierino numerico)
2) dopo aver terminato la chiamata, voglio memorizzare il numero creando un nuovo contatto
3) dalla funzione RECENTI del telefono, clicco sulla freccetta BLU che c'è in corrispondenza del numero da "memorizzare"
4) scelgo l'opzione "CREA CONTATTO" e compilo i dati richiesti (COGNOME, NOME, ecc.)
5) concludo con il taso "FINE" memorizzando il contatto.
6) ritorno nei RECENTI e trovo il numero sostituito dal Nominativo creato
Se ora vado a cercare su CONTATTI il nominativo non riesco più a trovarlo.
Qualcuno sa come trasferire il nuovo contatto?

I have a Iphone4 for a couple of months and I've noticed that the contacts stored from incoming calls do not come in the archive CONTACTS.
I try to explain the problem and the procedure used:
1) I get a call (or alternatively I composed a number from the numeric keypad)
2) after finishing the call, I want to store the number creating a new contact
3) using the function RECENT calls, I click on BLU arrow next to the number to "store"
4) choose the option "CREATE CONTACT" and compile the requested data (LAST name, FIRST name, etc.).
5) conclude with the icone "END" storing the contact.
6) return to RECENT and I find the number replaced by Name created
Now, If I try to look for the new name in the CONTACTS I can't find it.
Does anyone know how to transfer the new contact?

HT4759 My contacts on my iphone 5 do not match what is in my icloud contacts. The contacts on my iphone 5 are the most current. Anything I add on my iphone 5 contacts does not show in my icloud account.

I am very frustrasted with trying to get my iophne 5c contacts list to sync with my icloud contact list. The new contacts I add to my iphone do not show up in my icloud contacts. What am I doing wrong?

If your default account was set to iCloud in settings, it should be created in the iCloud account regardless of how you create it on the phone.
Try adding a new test contact using the contacts app, then go to icloud.com from your computer and see if it appears there now.
Also, what accounts were listed in the Default Account setting on your phone besides iCloud? (Don't post your email addresses, just tell me what providers were listed there, such as On My iPhone, Gmail, Yahoo, Exchange, etc.)
