Accessing the internet via bookmarks

Hi,
When I use my bookmarks try to go on the internet via my Palm T/X I get this message" The page you requested cannot be displayed.  The website you are trying to access may betemporarily unavailable or the URL you entered cannot be resolved."
I can confirm that my WiFi works ( I can connect) and the the websites are available through my computer.  I tried re-entering the bookmarks and still get the same message.
Can you help?:

You need to do a clean reinstall.
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
    * Firefox 5.0.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
    * Uninstall your current Firefox version.
    * Do not remove personal data when you uninstall the current version.
Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
    * It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox Profile Folder] and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.

  • I receive a not connected to the internet message several times daily on my iMac connected via airport to a time capsule which accesses the internet via cable modem.. When I input my password to enter network preferences, the connection re-establishes.

I receive a "not connected to the internet message" several times daily on my iMac connected via airport to a time capsule which accesses the internet via a cable modem. Software/firmware is up to date on the iMac (OSX 10.6.8)  and Tme Capsule(7.5.2). Browser is Safari 5.1.
When I input my password at the prompt to enter network preferences, all the lights go green (ie... ethernet, ISP etc.) and the connection re-establishes immediately and states "the connection appears to be working normally".
It more of a nuisance than anything and seems to have started ocurring over the past couple of months. I also have a windows XP box also connected to the same cable modem that I never have internet connectivity issues with. I've verified all the physical aspects of the connections and can't see any evidence of any actual drops in the modem logs. I suspect it is just an intermittent communication loss between the Imac and the Time Capsule, but I am not very familiar with Mac equipment yet.
Just wondering if anyone has experienced a similar problem and what you did (if anything) to resolve it?
    Thanks.

The AirPort Express will connect to your existing wireless network if the network is using WPA2 Personal or WPA/WPA2 Personal wireless security settings.
So, it can join the network as a client and then provide an Ethernet signal to your Time Capsule.
Be sure to configure the Time Capsule to operate in Bridge Mode so that it will be operating on the same network.

Sorry, no. Apple does not support downgrading.
Have you tried to go into your settings, reset, reset network settings? It'll erase your current network from your iPad and let you start over.

So I found out with alittle research that instead of entering all that info on my ipod, security questions, birthday, ect that it was much easier to just go to http://appleid.apple.com and place all that info there and save it than try the process on my ipod and it finished the update.

  • I cannot access the internet via wifi on my time capsule.

I cannot access the internet via wifi on my time capsule even thought it was shown that I am connected to the time capsule with full wifi on my iMac. I use to be able access the internet via wifi on the TC. However, after playing around with the airport utility on my iPad I was no longer able to access the internet via the wifi on myTC. How can I fix this problem?

Did your TC recently upgrade firmware to 7.6.3?
I recommend you do a full factory reset.. and redo the setup.
Use different names.. SMB type.. ie short, no spaces. pure alphanumeric for everything.
    Use only WPA2 Personal security.
If that doesn't work, give more info.
Age of the TC.. model number.. A1xxx from the base.
    Firmware revision.
In the computer are you getting the correct IP and router and dns values? Please post a screen shot.

  • My PC isn't accessing the internet via my Time Capsule.

I just got the new AirPort Time Capsule 3TB with 802.11ac WiFi and set it up. My iMac and my iPhones and my PC laptop are all connecting to the network just fine; however, the PC (a Toshiba Sattelite running Windows Vista) is the only device unable to access the internet.
I've been on the phone with Apple Support and MicroSoft Windows support, and neither has an answer. I have tried several things that have been posted on other discussion threads on this issue. None of those has worked for me, and the previous discussions on this issue (that I've found) have all originated from before the current TC model and before the current firmware version (7.1.1).
My iMac is running OSX 10.9 (Mavericks).
I am currently using all one-word alphanumeric names for my networks (I checked the 5Ghz box to make that a separate network, and I also have the Guest network set up).
I am currently using 10-character passwords.
I am currently using WPA2 Personal network security.
I am currently connecting using DHCP (and the PC is DHCP enabled), and the router mode is DHCP and NAT.
I am currently using fixed channels for both networks, and I have tried several different channels.
I ran the following diagnostics on the PC Command Prompt:

My thought is that it's either a case of the TC somehow blocking the PC from internet access, or else the PC not being able to make sense of the access information provided. The latter is the conclusion of Apple technical support, while Windows tech support concluded that I must have a defective router.
Any help will be much appreciated!

You can use the E1000 as wireless AP.
This is the method that will generally work with any wireless router. We term it Wan Bypass.. it is not an official method.. but works fine in vast majority of cases.
Leave your existing setup as is.. modem with TC plugged in.. keep the TC as the main router (at least I presume it is).
Let me work on real numbers as it is easier.. and you can adjust the setup according to your actual setup.
The TC has IP of 10.0.1.1 by default and dhcp passes IP from 2-200.
Plug the Linksys into a computer and setup the IP as 10.0.1.202 ... Please write this down as it will be hidden and if you forget it .. you will need to recover the Linksys by reset and start over.
Turn off the DHCP server in the Linksys. When you do this, and save the setting the computer will no longer be able to connect to the Linksys.. that is fine. Plug the Linksys now into the TC.. LAN port to LAN port. (Hence the name WAN BYPASS).
Back onto a computer connected as normal to the network.. access the Linksys at the address you just set.
Setup its wireless to have a different name to the TC and I would also recommend you fix its channel.. make it say 11. So the two routers don't fight each other.
Names should be short, no spaces and pure alphanumeric. Set up the wireless security as you normally do.
Remember this is wan bypass so plug LAN TC to LAN E1000.
If you run into issues.. post again.

  • Why can't I access the internet via ethernet port on my Airport Express?

I have an Airport Extreme base station and two Airport Express units. The Extreme is connected by ethernet to a BT Home Hub (BT is the internet provider). The network works for all the other computers that have Airport cards BUT I want to connect a Mac Mini (no airport card) by ethernet to the Express, but no matter how I try re-jigging the settings on the base station and Express, it won't connect. Mac Mini WILL connect when wired directly to the Extreme base station, so it's not the port. Also, I have been able to stream iTunes to the Express units so they are functioning in that respect. What am I doing wrong or not doing? Do I need to set up a WDS? Is there a bridging mode? Do I need to have a relay? Surely internet via the Express is possible!

The Airport Express units are the A1088 variety. The Extreme is A1354. Originally I set up the base station to create a network and got the Expresses to 'join network'. However, since that didn't work, I dug a little deeper and investigated WDS and bridge settings. The base station wireless mode is 'Create a network'. I selected 'allow this network to be extended' and made sure that the channel used was the same as the Express units. I have set up one Express to be a WDS remote and one to be a WDS relay on the same channel of the same network with the same password. I have specified the MAC address of the base as the main and the other MAC addresses in the appropriate places for the Expresses. I have tried selecting the 802.11b/g radio mode manually as well as in automatic. Access control is off for all units. I have tried the base station connection setting on 'Off (bridge mode)' and 'share a public IP address'. Am I just missing something?

  • Problems accessing the internet via wifi

I'm not able to access internet via wifi but am connected to my wifi network.
    No problems when using 3G
I guess it is a dns problem?

What details should I input there?
Would it mess anything up if I used the same settings that my iphone uses?

Is their a limit to no. of devices that can connect?
Yes, this would be determined by the size of the IP pool allocated on your time capsule router. Ordinarily this should be large enough by default to accommodate the number of devices you have.
    Not sure where to check
"If DHCP is not working for you then you should check to see if your router is set to do DHCP and that MAC address filtering is not turned on"
*First, please note that if you aren't really familiar with network setup you should probably give Apple support a call and they can walk you through this.* See: http://www.apple.com/support/expert/
You can access your Time Capsule router using the Airport Utility which is found in the Applications/Utilities folder on your Macbook Pro. If you use this utility you can see how your router is setup. Post what you see here, i.e., Network name, radio mode, channel, Security password protection (WPA2 personal is best), etc. Of course, don't post any passwords.
Don't forget to check that the IP Address selector in your iPad WiFi setting for your network (which can be DHCP, BootP or Static) is set to DHCP.
I will turn Time capsule off for a while to try.
At this point it might also be a good idea to also go to Settings > General > Reset on your iPad and select "Reset Network Settings".

  • How do I use the airport express to connect a remote PC via ethernet cable and access the internet via wireless connection, How do I use the airport express to connect a remote PC via ethernet cable and access the internet via wireless connection

Trying to connect my xbox to the airport express. Have wireless in home and do not have a ethernet point behind tv/xbox. How do I configure the airport express to connect to my wireless network and then the airport express can use its connection via ethernet to connect the xbox to the internet.

Is your AirPort Express Base Station (AX) a 802.11n model? If it is, you can reconfigure it as a wireless Ethernet bridge or ProxySTA. This would allow the AX to join another wireless network and have its Ethernet port enabled for wired clients, like the Xbox 360.
To activate ProxySTA, you must set up the Express to join a wireless network and then enable the Allow Ethernet Clients setting; both settings are located in the Wireless tab of AirPort Utility.

I am using a PC with Windows 7, and like I said, the other browser seems to be working just fine. I just MISS my passwords and really don't want to go through all the work and trouble of requesting new ones from ALL the sites I use passwords for ! Please HELP :)

Your second post said 'ignore this" so I guess everyone thought you had got it fixed....
When you connect through your router you have two instances of DHCP going on...one is your DSL modem giving your router an IP address on it's WAN interface. The other is the router giving your computer an IP address via the router's DHCP server. The IP the modem gives your router is in the 192.168.1.0 network. Unfortunately, by default, the LAN IP address reange on Linksys routers is also in that range. To get this to work, you need to set your LAN ip on the router to 192.168.2.1, so that the LAN and WAN interfaces of the router are in different networks.
To do that, unplug the router from the DSL modem, power it and your computer down, then connect the computer to the router using an ethernet cable. Power up the router, and the computer, then browse to 192.168.1.1. Change the LAN IP on the router setup to 192.168.2.1, save the configuration, then reboot the computer. Once the computer comes back up, browse to 192.168.2.1...you should be able to get to the router setup GUI.
Power down the router, and the DSL modem, connect the router to the modem via the Internet port using an ethernet cable, then power up the modem, then the router....you should be good to go...
