Accessing the manifest file.

I would like to be able to retrieve the version number from the manifest file from within my application. I know that I was able to do that when I was working on an ME project, but can't seem to find a method for it in regular Java. Any thoughts?

statically. And all the constructors for JarFile
appear to need the name of the jar file. This is a
bit bewildering, since it was a common routine in ME.From what you are saying, applications in ME are single jar resources. Not so in SE. How would the underlying system know which jar you want to look at?

You might need to sign up at "https://cloud.acrobat.com/exportpdf" using your Adobe ID credentials to convert your PDF file to Word.
Do you get the 'download' prompt?
Also, you can find the converted files by clicking at the 'Files' tab.
Please try the same using a different browser and check.

Ever since I installed Safari 5.1 on my PC (XP) I can no longer access the pdf files on my website. I have no problems with Chrome and Firefox. I keep on getting a message from WebKit2WebProcess.exe that the LogTransport2.dill was not found. (I HATE PCs...) I tried reinstalling Acrobat 9. I tried reinstalling Safari. I even tried an older version of Safari. Nothing Helped. Others have tried it on their machine, and it worked fine. But I do not know what is the matter with mine. I suspect the root cause is the missing LogTransport2.dill file. But I do not know how to go about getting it. Your help is truly appreciated. My website is http://www.hlmartworks.com.

Why can't I access the K1 file system from my PC?

I could access the entire file system excluding the data folder yesterday. However since installing Letools, I no longer can drag-and-drop photos and movies to the K1 from Windows Explorer. I uninstalled Letools, but I still can't access the file system.

Thank you for trying to help. We have compared security mode settings and their Macs say that commenting is allowed, while mine says it's not allowed. I'm assuming this is why I can't highlight and they can. But I dont understand why they're different? The files this happens to are PDFs that our college classes assign as reading- so we all go to the same place to access these PDFs and save them, so the security modes shouldn't be different, but they are. Any idea why? Are Macs just enabled to do this for whatever reason and PCs aren't?

Just to bring this into context, it helps to keep in mind Adobe's reluctance add any functionality to its software that would encourage working over a network. The following can be read in many archived messages at the Photoshop forum:

I would like to connect my old 2TB TC to the new 3TB TC in order to access the old files.

Plug old TC into new TC by ethernet.. reset it to factory and then do the setup again.. as bridged device. No files are lost from the hard disk doing this.
Whether Yosemite can find it is another question.. Yosemite is like the guy with two brains.. one lost and the other looking for it.. it has terrible network bugs.
Only way to find out if you are affected is give it a go.

if i place the jar file in the same location of the above mentioned folder means i can able to use the Jar file in eclipse(in my project).
But i create one folder in the same location in the name of Jar or anything and all jar files are placed inside the folder,then i can't able to access the jar file in eclipse(in my project).
How i can solve this problem?

Problem of loading the Manifest file

I have developed a project in J2SE.I am creating a JAR file of it but I am facing a problem in doing that. My Problem is The Manifest File I have created is not loading by the JVM. I have created the Manifest file which contains the following code:
Main-Class: secl/Login
and save it with the name Login.mf in C drive where my project folder is also exists. Then run the following command:
C:\>jar cvfm secl.jar Login.mf secl\*.class
then, following error is shown:
java.io.FileNotFoundException: Login.mf (The system cannot find the file specified)
Then, I run the following command:
C:\>reg query HKCR\jarfile\shell\open\command
Then, I received the following msg:
! REG.EXE VERSION 3.0
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\jarfile\shell\open\command
<NO NAME> REG_SZ "C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.1_03\bin\javaw.exe" -jar "%1" %*
I think this msg says my files association is wrong. What is the meaning of this msg? My JAR file is created but Manifest file is not loading and main class is not read.Please help me about this.

I have successfully created the JAR file of my project with the Manifest File including my Main Class. I had just gave the following command:
C:\>jar cfm secl.jar Manifest.txt secl/*.class
and my jar file is created. But there is a problem, when I execute this jar file at command prompt by the following command:
C:\>java -jar secl.jar
the following error msg is shown:
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: secl/Login (wrong name: Login)
And also when I execute it by double clicking it then the following error msg dialog box is shown:
Could not find the main class.Program will exit!
As you suggested, I gave the main class path in Manifest file as:
Main Class: secl.Login
but the same problem is still occurring.
How can I solve this problem? Please help me.

If you want to execute a jar file using the -jar option, then you must put a Main-Class entry into the mainifest of the jar. The Main-Class must be the fully qualified name of the main class. The main class must be added to the jar correctly. The manifest must end with a blank line.
If you still have problems, you need to post more information: the contents of the manifest, the fully qualified name of the main class, the command you are using to create the jar.
You can also execute jar without using the -jar option. You do this by adding the jar to the classpath and specifying the main class as the application class to run. For example java -classpath aaa.jar MainClass

I want to Access the Sequence File Comment In the User Interface...

I can access the comment from the MainSequence of the Sequence, but not the sequence comment (SeqEditor: Edit->Sequence File Properties...).
I'm using the following C command:
TS_PropertyGetProperty (panelRec->seqFile->seqFileH, &errorInfo, TS_PropertyComment, CAVT_CSTRING, &psCommentStr);
the psCommentStr comes up empty and I get no errors, although, I know that there is a comment entered in the field. I added this call to the UpdateOnSequenceChange function of seqdisp.c of the Example User Interface.
I'm pretty sure that this should work, but all I get is a "" (Empty string).

The comment property of a sequence file is not stored in the PropertyObject of the sequence file itself. It is instead stored in the sequence file's PropertyObjectFile.Data PropertyObject's PropertyObject.Comment property. There is a KnowledgeBase document at the following link that explains this along with an easy to follow sequence file example that uses ActiveX Automation Adapter steps to access the sequence file's own comment property in the manner mentioned above:

clients don't access a war file. that's just a package for the container to deal with.
when the WAR is deployed, the container unpackages the contents and deploys the app. From that point forward clients use the deployed stuff. the unpackaged servlets handle requests from then on.
