Accessing two different wls instances in Apache

Hi!
Does anyone know if it is possible to connect to two different instances of wls
5.1 sp 6 (same IP, different ports) from an apache front-end under the same <VirtualHost>-instance,
using mod_wl_ssl.so?

Thanks for your reply.
It's not the CuCo being initial but my attribute and the collection wrapper of the value node has only one entry, the empty one which is added in the INIT-method of the context node. So it feels like a second instance of my CuCo as inside the other view I have my collection, attribute etc.
This is my coding to get the CuCo:
DATA: lr_cucosearch       TYPE REF TO   zl_iccmp_bp_cucosearch_impl.
lr_cucosearch ?= get_custom_controller( 'ICCMP_BP_SEARCH/CuCoSearch' ).
This coding I use in both views. This is wrong? I debugged and it looked like it would search for an instance and then return it instead of creating a second one.
Am I mistaken?
Thanks.

  • (261680070) Q WWO-13 How can I link workshop to a different WLS instance?

    Q<WWO-13> How can I link workshop to a different WLS instance?
    A<WWO-13> Use the Workshop menus. Select the Tools menu, then choose Preferences.
    Select the Paths tab and then specify the domain and server that you wish to connect
    to.

    Additional Information supplied by John Methot:
    Unfortunately, that's not all there is to it. You also have to make sure
    both the Workshop IDE and the WLS instance are looking at the same project
    filesystem. This means you have to share the filesystem from the WLS
    machine (typically) and mount it (or, in windows, map it) on the IDE
    machine. Specifically, you want to share/mount/map the directory that is
    the parent of the domain directory (so, be default,
    c:\bea\weblogic700\samples). Then, in the preferences dialog, you have set
    the "config directory path" that that mount point and then select the domain
    ("workshop"). Now you're set.
    If you don't do this, things might sort of seem to work but won't. You'll
    be editing happily away on the IDE machine, but running unmodified files on
    the WLS machine (the real files).
    Bottom line: there is no file transfer feature between the two machine in a
    remote configuration. Both machines have to see the same file system.

  • Connecting to two different database instances from a swing application.

    Hi All,
    I am developing a swing application which needs to interact with two different database instances of two different weblogic servers.
    More eloborately,
    I have some data in DB_Instance1 running on[b] Weblogic_Server1 and I need to insert the same data into DB_instance2 running on Weblogic_server2. Is it possible. Could some explain me how to do that..
    Thanks in advance...
    Sreekanth.

    Hi Rick,
    Try logging onto both Server first. You'll have to use either 2 separate ODBC DSN's or 2 separate OLE DB connections. Set them both for Trusted Authentication, you'll have to configure that on the Server also.Then try your query.
    If that doesn't work then you'll have to create a Stored Procedure or View that can link the 2 Server side.
    Thank you

  • Can we access two different Siebel BO in Same OPA Rule Base

    Hi all,
    can we access two different BO's from same rule base.
    what i means is,can we pass siebel data to OPA Rule Base from two different BO's .
    Thank you for your help in advance.

    There are two approaches to do this and they both involve making some small changes on the Siebel side.
    You can create an Integration Object which contains all the business components that you want to send to OPA if you are using an Integration Object mapping.
    If you would prefer to use a Business Object mapping then you will have to create a new Business Object which combines the BCs of all the Business Objects that you want to send to OPA.
    As you can see, although one approach involves Integration Objects and one involves Business Objects they both work by creating a single object which is an amalgamation of the information that you want to send to OPA.

  • Users are not able to access two different SAP portals at a time

    Hi Experts,
    Users are not able to access two different SAP portals at a time, if users login the OLD SAP Portal then they are not able to access NEW SAP Production Portal asking user id's & Password while doing ECC & APO transactions.
    If user clear the Internet Explorer cache then for time being they can access but its not the permanant solution.
    Can any one please help me on this.
    Thanks,

    Hello Jay,
    here we are facing this problem, this company users not able to access both the portals at at time
    If you want to access HTC and Armed at the same time you gotta complete SSO Config or User mapping between these two Portals. You can refer to the below link for more details.

  • Problem in accessing two different InitialContexts simultaneously

    Hi All
    I have a strange problem the scenario is as below
    I have two different web logic servers as server1 and server2
    The Realm on server1 is user1 and password is pwd1
    The Realm on server1 is user2 and password is pwd2
    In my application on server1 I created the database connection with DataSource lookup by setting InitialContext values as java.naming.security.principal to user1 and java.naming.security.credentials to pwd1 and i have done some data base transaction .
    In between i need to made a remote EJB call which is on server2 so i created an other
    InitialContext by setting java.naming.security.principal to user2 and java.naming.security.credentials to pwd2 and this 2nd context i am closing after placing the HomeObject in a HashMap.
    After completing the EJB call I have to continue the remaining database transactions by getting the connection from lookup.
    Here i am getting the following error
    *Caused by: java.sql.SQLException: Pool connect failed : java.lang.SecurityException: [Security:090398]Invalid Subject:user2*
    If any one has faced the same problem or know the solution to this problem please help me in solving this.
    Thanks in Advance.

    The thread that establishes an initial context with a WLS server gets infected with the security credential of the initial context. Anything that thread does afterwards will be using that credential. A typical solution to this would be to obtain and cache the current subject on the thread before getting the second initial context, and then resume the subject when you need to go back to work with the first initial context. You may want to look into weblogic.Security.Security class for the APIs that you need to accomplish this.

  • Can I access two different libraries on the same computer with the remote app?

    I am in the process of upgrading our home network. There is going to be an airport express in each of the main rooms of our house all running to a switch connected to our AirPort Extreme. The reason for this is so we can stream our music in any or all of the rooms we choose.  I'm going to have a Windows 7 PC running iTunes constantly also connected so that we will have access to the entire library on any of our devices.  My entire library will be housed on an external hard drive that will be connected to the Extreme. Here is where it gets tricky. My wife has a separate library that we want to have access to as well. It is going to be housed on a separate external hard drive connected to the Extreme via a USB hub. I don't want to combine our libraries because hers is absolute chaos and mine is very well organized. Without having to have a second  computer running iTunes constantly, is there a way we can access both libraries simultaneously with the remote app? Either by running two instances of iTunes on one computer or some other way I'm not realizing. As it works right now, if we're both running iTunes on our laptops, then I can go onto my iPad and see both full libraries on the remote app. I want to do that, but with just one computer.

    I doubt it is possible to run two instances of iTunes on the computer at the same time.  To do so would require two users to be signed in and running iTunes under each user.
    The better solution would be to either clean up and merge the two libraries or have iTunes running on a second computer.

  • HT2542 Accessing two different itunes accounts on the one mac... help please.

    My wife and I have two separate itune accounts which we use on our ipads, iphones etc both with around 500 downloaded songs, tv programmes, films.  We recently purchased a mac and wabt to be able to access all our media on the mac without having to constantly log in as different people.  Is this possible?

    Yes you can.
    The fact you cannot access your son's library from your User account is intentional. User accounts on your Mac are nearly as separate from each other as your Macs are from anyone else's on the planet. To copy music from his account to yours, first copy it to the Shared folder, then log into your account and import the music. Then, you can erase it from Shared.
    The Shared folder exists at /Users/Shared.
    Read
    iTunes: How to share music between different accounts on a single computer

  • Two different WCS instances, pointing to the same database

    Hi,
    for some unknown reason that came from the architecture fellows, I need to install 02 instances of WCS pointing to the same database server. I mean, both instances would need to "share" the database. They don't want a cluster schema because they need to have the option to deploy the app in one instance and, if wverything is ok, deploy to the remaining instance.
    Do you know if such architecture is possible? I did the installation of one instance(instance A), but when trying to install the instance B referring to A's database, I get a ton of errors.
    Any advice is much appreciated.

    Hi,
    This is not the way Sites has been designed. Each instance should have their own schema and repository unless the two instances work as a Sites cluster.
    So what you're trying to achieve is not possible using your approach. What I could suggest is to install two separate instances on its own, create the necessary data model, asset configurations, templates, etc. in one instance and replicate it to the other instance by publishing it to the other instance using real-time publish. If you use LDAP or any other supported directory server you would be able to use a singe directory for both sites instances.

  • Two Different R/3 Source System IS AFS and IS Retail

    Hi Gurus,
    I am on one implementation project. System landscape is such that there are two ECC systems. One is IS AFS and other is IS Retail. BIW reporting is requried from both the business.
    My query is whether we should go for two different BIW instance or One only.
    If I use one system, what will be the impact on reporting and ETL .
    As we can replicate data source & can activate BI content ( Cubes, ODS ) only once,  How do we ensure that reporting from cube 0SD_C03 ( just example ) for IS AFS and IS Retail ? Will there be any impact on ETL ?
    I need your opinion.  Please reply soon. If some has done this kind of implementation, please share your experience.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Komik Shah

    Hi Shah,
    This is jasvir here, working on something similar so really wanted to share things with you.
    As per my understanding if you use two separate system for Retail and AFS I guess that doesn't follow the basic rule for Common Datawarehoues so i guess you need just DW, for reporting purposes.
    I am also working on something similar so we here just have one reporting system.
    Cheers

  • How to access two entity managers from two different servers?

    Hello
    My test programm is trying to access two glassfish application servers (gf 2.1). The code base of these servers is the same, the persistence layers are just accessing different databases -> one ist the staging/test system, the other the live server.
    After setting the connection and obtaining the em via the class persistence i can not fetch the em from the other system.
              properties.setProperty("org.omg.CORBA.ORBInitialHost", "host1");
              properties.setProperty("org.omg.CORBA.ORBInitialPort", "port1");
                    InitialContext ctx = new InitialContext(properties);
              entityManagerFactory1 = Persistence.createEntityManagerFactory("pu/refdata");
              entityManager1 = entityManagerFactory.createEntityManager();After that Persistence seems to have been bound to host1 forever, so i can not fetch a reference to the em of host2. There is another createEntityManagerFactory method accepting a map but i dont find any reference for the properties, maybe that would help - dont know.
    Regardless of what i do, any further call to Persistence.createEntityManagerFactory returns the handle of entityManagerFactory1.
    Regards

    I want to use the EntityManagers bound to the DataSources provided by different app servers.
    Below you find an example persistence.xml with three entries. 1 & 2 have the same jta data source, 3 is different.
    My point is that Persistence binds the new factory in a wrong way if the jta data source String has already been resolved.
    If a progamm sets connection properties for app server 1 and fetches an entityManagerFactory for pu/refdata_Live, then sets connection properties for app server 2 with pu/refdata_Test they get different factory instances bound to the same server, in this case app server 1.
    If i know set the connection properties for app server 3 with pu/refdata3 Persistence sees that the jta data source "dbc/ref3" has not yet been resolved and tries to connect to the app server 3. Which it should have done for app server 2 too.
    <persistence-unit name="pu/refdata_Live" transaction-type="JTA">
         <provider>oracle.toplink.essentials.PersistenceProvider</provider>
        <jta-data-source>jdbc/ref</jta-data-source>
        <properties>
          <property name="toplink.ddl-generation" value="none"/>
        </properties>
      </persistence-unit>
        <persistence-unit name="pu/refdata_Test" transaction-type="JTA">
        <provider>oracle.toplink.essentials.PersistenceProvider</provider>
        <jta-data-source>jdbc/ref</jta-data-source>
        <properties>
          <property name="toplink.ddl-generation" value="none"/>
        </properties>
      </persistence-unit>
        <persistence-unit name="pu/refdata3" transaction-type="JTA">
        <provider>oracle.toplink.essentials.PersistenceProvider</provider>
        <jta-data-source>jdbc/ref3</jta-data-source>
        <properties>
          <property name="toplink.ddl-generation" value="none"/>
        </properties>

  • APEX Application accessing data from two different databases

    Hi All,
    Currently as we all know that APEX Application resides in database and is connected to the schema of that database.
    I want APEX Application to be running and accessing data from two different databases. Elaborating my question,
    Currently, my APEX Production Application is connected with XXXX Schema of DB1 Database(Where APEX Resides). Now I want to add some pages into this APEX Application for REPORT Purpose, But I want to connect this REPORT APEX Pages to get data from Different Schema YYYY for Database DB2.
    Is it possible to configure this scenario?
    The reason for doing this is to avoid the REPORT related (adhoc queries) resource utilization effect on Production DB1 Database.
    Thanks
    Nil

    1. If you do the joining of two or more tables in DB1 then all data is pulled over to DB1 and then the join is executed: so more data over the databaselink and more work for DB1. Better keep the joining stuff where the data resides and just pull exactly that data over that you need.
    2. Don't know about your different block sizes. Seems a nice question for one of the other forums (DBA or SQL).
    3. I mean create synonyms on DB1 for reports VIEWS in DB2.
    Hope all is clear!

  • HT1364 I used these instructions to move my i-tunes library to the external hard drive that two different home pc's access. My playlists do not show on both Is it possible to have one i-pod synch amid two different computers that use the same library?

    I have a sole i-pod and two pc's, used the instructions for "iTunes for Windows: Moving your iTunes Media folder" in the hope that I could synch my one i-pod between two different computers that are sharing the same library. Is it possible to have two seperate computers that only share an external hard drive (one wireless, one not) ? When I am looking at a shared library should it appear the same on both machines (ie: playlists/ purchased list etc)?

    If it is moved correctly, playlists will display on both computers and it should be possible.
    Close iTunes.
    Hold <SHIFT> and launch iTunes.
    When prompted to create a new or open an existing iTunes library point iTunes to the iTunesLibrary.itl file on the external drive.
    The entire library should now show up with all playlists and playcounts.
    Do this on both computers.
    Keep in mind that only one computer can access iTunes at a time, otherwise errors will occur when each computer attempts to write to or update the iTunesLibrary.itl file.
    Syncing may work seemlessly with both computers, but honestly syncing is designed to work with one and only one computer.

  • One instance for two different application

    Hello,
    I have to solve following problem..
    need have one instance of object for two different application..fist is standard SE application and second is EE (web)..
    SE application is a server..listen on and accepting connection from mobile phone..and EE application need to show list of connected devices and should say to SE application that new device was connected..
    I would like to do this without database..only server and web app..
    I have thought about RMI..but hope there is more simple solution..
    Thanks a lot for your ideas.
    Dmitrij

    I would like to do this without database..only server and web app..You have your reasons for wanting this to be the case. If you are sure you don't want a DB, then pass the state of the object between the two ends using XML as the transport form. As someone said, you can use JMS or you can write an HTTP POST or probably other transport mechanisms other people will suggest to actually get it over the wire from one side to the other.
    As to your question of how to sync state, just make the object you're sharing final after it's been created (on the side that creates it) and make the reference that receives it and holds it final also, after you've reconstructed it from the XML you received.
