Accessing Webservice
Dear all
I need to implement the following scenario. I have given the option that a function can be call as web service. At this point every thing is ok. In the client side they have an application in .NET, to link this to they have installed a Client Certificate in the IE Browser to authenticated in our system (Apache server). When they executed URL in the Browser every the connection is OK. When they executed the .NET applications the following error appears :
ERRO:The underlying connection was closed: Could not establish secure channel for SSL/TLS.
System.Net.WebException: The underlying connection was closed: Could not establish secure channel for SSL/TLS. ---> System.TypeInitializationException:
The type initializer for "System.Net.SecureChannel" threw an exception. ---> System.EntryPointNotFoundException: ? at System.Net.NativeNTSSPI.EnumerateSecurityPackagesW(Int32& pkgnum, IntPtr& arrayptr) at System.Net.SSPISecureChannelType.EnumerateSecurityPackages(Int32& pkgnum, IntPtr& arrayptr) at System.Net.SSPIWrapper.EnumerateSecurityPackages(SSPIInterface SecModule) at System.Net.SSPIWrapper.GetSupportedSecurityPackages(SSPIInterface SecModule) at System.Net.SecureChannel..cctor() --- End of inner exception stack trace --- at System.Net.SecureChannel..ctor(String hostname, X509CertificateCollection clientCertificates) at System.Net.TlsStream.Handshake(ProtocolToken message) --- End of inner exception stack trace --- at System.Net.HttpWebRequest.CheckFinalStatus() at System.Net.HttpWebRequest.EndGetResponse(IAsyncResult asyncResult) at System.Net.HttpWebRequest.GetResponse() at testetmn.Teste.btnConnect_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e) in e:\develop\toupeira\testconnectivity\teste.aspx.cs:line 67
They have tried to call the certificate in a file and the same error appears.
Thus any one has a solution for this scenario?
I'm going to explain better my question. Yes we are calling a Webservice from a .net application. But in the middle we have a Apache server that required autentication, and for this reason the certificate must be on the Side off the .NET application.
We have install the client Certificate on the IE browser. If we call the URL off the webservice from the browser every the connection was made. But when call the URL from the .NET application the error appears.
Best Regards
Thanks in advanced.

Edited by: 1005832 on May 14, 2013 6:16 AMThe error was generated on the endpoint and indicates that the SOAP request message had incorrect WS-Security information in its headers. The SOAP response message you included doesn't contain specific information about what is wrong (we wouldn't want to reveal too much to hackers, of course!).
Without seeing the SOAP request message and the WS-SecurityPolicy that the endpoint requires, it's impossible to tell what's wrong.
Other important information:
- what version of WLS are you running?
- is the endpoint a WLS JAX-WS or a WLS JAX-RPC web service?
- is WS-Security configured using native WLS WS-Security (e.g. @Policy) or using OWSM WS-Security (i.e. @SecurityPolicy)?
- what specific policy is being used to enforce security at the endpoint (the advertised WSDL for the endpoint should contain this) -

Problem in accessing webservice over https with auth cert enabled...Urgent
Hi All,
I am stuck in accessing webservices using ssl and auth certificate.
I am using jdk 6 and it is not any issue with the problem I am facing...
This is what I do...
I have a webservice deployed which is accessible over https.
On server, I run..
- to generate keystoye
keytool -genkey -alias tomcat-sv -dname "CN=<Server Machine Id>, OU=X, O=Y, L=Z, S=XY, C=YZ" -keyalg RSA -keypass changeit -storepass changeit -keystore server.keystore
generate server certificate
keytool -export -alias tomcat-sv -storepass changeit -file server.cer -keystore server.keystore
On client, i run..
To generate client keystore-
keytool -genkey -alias tomcat-cl -dname "CN=<Client Machine Id>, OU=X, O=Y, L=Z, S=XY, C=YZ" -keyalg RSA -keypass changeit -storepass changeit -keystore client.keystore
To generate client certificate -
keytool -export -alias tomcat-cl -storepass changeit -file client.cer -keystore client.keystore
Thne I import server's certificate into client keystore and Client's certificate to server's keystore by
import server's cer to client keystore -
keytool -import -v -trustcacerts -alias tomcat -file "C:\java\jdk1.6.0_10\bin\server.cer" -keystore client.keystore -keypass changeit -storepass changeit
inport client's cer to server keystore -
keytool -import -v -trustcacerts -alias tomcat -file "C:\jdk1.6.0_06\bin\client.cer" -keystore server.keystore -keypass changeit -storepass changeit
when i try to call webservices through a java client (which is called by a python script), I get error as
*"Exception while waiting for close java.net.SocketException: Software caused connection abort: recv failed"*
*"faultString: java.net.SocketException: Software caused connection abort: recv failed"*
complete log is as following

This is very urgent and critical.. Many thanks in advance.Hi ejp,
thanks for your reply. I did read your post in other thread that you pointed.
I had searched quite a lot on this issue and had idea that it might be due to firewall settings..
but sadly, I don't know the solution. Well, you have seen the entire code that I wrote and exception too, Could you suggest me a way out? or any specific firewall setting or a workaround?
Please let me know if you need any other info from my side regarding the code.
Thanks a Ton!

Access webservices through SSL
HI!
I want to access webservices through SSL. I could config the SOA suite to connect to (for example) Enterprise Manager Console through SSL (https://localhost:4443/em), but when I want to try to access a webservice through SSL (https://bonus4:4443/CreditService/ValidateCreditCardServiceSoapHttp?wsdl), I get the next error:
404 Not Found
Resource /j2ee/CreditService/ValidateCreditCardServiceSoapHttp not found on this server
What can I config on SOA Suite(10.1.3.1.0) to use the webservices through SSL?
Thanks You very much, it would be a big help for me!
ViktorHello,
I would invite you to read this blog entry on the subject, it is using stand alone OC4J but the idea is the same using OracleHTTP Server:
- Using HTTPS with Web Services
Could you clarify if you are using OHS or OC4J HTTP server?

Not able to access webservice after migrating from 8.1 to 10.3,plz help
Hi All,
Prev our application was running in weblogic 8.1 and now we moved to 10.3
We are able to deploy our webservice in 10.3 and access the wsdl but we are not able to access the webservice from the client.
Even the testclient is not comming up.
After spending long time in that,now i dont have any clue on this issue.
Plz help on this
Thanks ni advance,
MouliSunil,
We are not seeing any exception.We regenerated the webservice and then deployed in the 10.3
When we make req from the client ,we are getting null response but thing is there are no log trace in the server side for that
folllowing is the input string we are pasing to the method notifyservice
IN the client we pass the wsdl url and then pass the following input string and hit the notifySerivce method
Req:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="no"?><object><GLCCode>102431</GLCCode><callBackNumber>888256798</callBackNumber></object>
Res:
<m:notifyService xmlns:m="http://www.testportal.com/outbound/tsp/WowWebservices">

Error while accessing webservice using generated stub
I want to consume a webservice which supplies information about countries:
http://www.oorsprong.org/websamples.countryinfo/CountryInfoService.wso?WSDL
I have generated a Webservice stub using JDeveloper. It supplies me with the right interface, but when I use the stub to access the webservice, I encounter an error:
java.lang.ClassCastException: oracle.xml.parser.v2.XMLText
at oracle.jdeveloper.webservices.runtime.WrappedDocLiteralStub.fromElement(WrappedDocLiteralStub.java:614)
at mypackage3.CountryInfoServiceStub2.CapitalCity(CountryInfoServiceStub2.java:72)
at mypackage3.callWS.main(callWS.java:19)
I have checked the response message, but it is all right. With "some" handcoding , I can extract the answer I want out of the response XML. It seems, that the stub fails to cast the response to the right result class.
The method I use from the stub generated by JDeveloper. The error occurs at the last line, where the content of the message should be cast to String :
=========================================================
public String CapitalCity(String sCountryISOCode) throws Exception
URL endpointURL = new URL(_endpoint);
Envelope requestEnv = new Envelope();
Body requestBody = new Body();
Vector requestBodyEntries = new Vector();
String wrappingName = "CapitalCity";
String targetNamespace = "http://www.oorsprong.org/websamples.countryinfo";
Vector requestData = new Vector();
requestData.add(new Object[] {"sCountryISOCode", sCountryISOCode});
requestBodyEntries.addElement(toElement(wrappingName, targetNamespace, requestData));
requestBody.setBodyEntries(requestBodyEntries);
requestEnv.setBody(requestBody);
Message msg = new Message();
msg.setSOAPTransport(m_httpConnection);
msg.send(endpointURL, "", requestEnv);
Envelope responseEnv = msg.receiveEnvelope();
Body responseBody = responseEnv.getBody();
Vector responseData = responseBody.getBodyEntries();
return (String)fromElement((Element)responseData.elementAt(0), java.lang.String.class);
=========================================================
The class I use to call the webservice:
=========================================================
package mypackage3;
public class callWS
public callWS() { }
public static void main(String[] args)
{ System.out.println("Calling CountryInfo Webservice");
try
CountryInfoServiceStub2 ws1 = new CountryInfoServiceStub2();
String capitalCity = ws1.CapitalCity("IT");
System.out.println("Capital City=" + capitalCity);
} catch (Exception exception)
{ System.out.println("An error occured while calling CountryInfoStub2:" );
exception.printStackTrace(System.out);
=========================================================Hi dickdral
I', afraid I have not solution but the same problem. Today I try use VIES (http://ec.europa.eu/taxation_customs/vies/api/checkVatPort)
and the same exception occurs. Stub was generated by JDev 10.1.2.
Do you resolve this problem?
Thanks

Error while trying to access WebService using WSIF
Hi All,
I am a new developer to WebServices. I read up information on how to create the WSDL and stubs using JDev 10g (10.1.2) using the wsa.jar that ships with the download. After creating my WSDL and the necessary proxies, when I try to run my client application (which runs in the same covatiner, standalone OC4j), I get the below error :
06/09/29 13:42:21 org.apache.wsif.WSIFException: org.apache.wsif.providers.ejb.WSIFOperation_EJB@15b0c83 : Could not invoke 'getOrderList'; nested exception is:

06/09/29 13:42:21 at $Proxy3.getOrderList(Unknown Source)
I am trying to expose a Stateless Session EJB as a WebService, which contains a method called getOrderList(). This method returns an array of a complex type (Java Bean).
I am, however, able to succesfully access the WebService using the SOAP/HTTP protocol.
My client code is as follows:
WSIFServiceFactory factory = WSIFServiceFactory.newInstance();
WSIFService service = factory.getService("<path to wsdl>", null, null, "http://sample.com/", "OrderService");
orderService = (OrderService) service.getStub("WsifEjb", OrderService.class);
Not sure what am I missing here. If any further information is required in order to resolve this, please let me know.
Thanks,You are trying to get 2 databases connected... so, you need to insure that FDEV can find and connect to ABCD.
So, from your FDEV database server, you can do 2 things (from command prompt):
1* tnsping ABCD (this will validate that the entry exists in your tnsnames.ora on your FDEV server, and that a valid listener can be found on remote server)
when above command succeeds:
2* sqlplus apps/appsdev@ABCD;
when you have established the connection, then you are SURE that your can connect ABCD database from FDEV database server. It will also validate the username / password combination, create session privilige, account not locked, etc.....
Please check the above, and post here the results.

External SOAP client Accessing Webservice using built in Java Data type
We have built a webservice and deployed it on WLS. We accessed this from a swing
client it works fine.The webservice methods uses non-built in JAVA data types
as parameters.These are Value Objects and the JAVA Serializer and Deserializer
classes are generated using Ant task itself.The client coding uses Value objects
given by the Client_jar (generated using <Clientgen> ant task) to pass to the
webservice. We dont want to go by this way.Is there anyway were in we can pass
parameters to the method which expects non-built in java datatypes?
Why i am asking this is, i want to know how an external client (.Net client )
will be able to exceute my webservice (i.e., passing the required Object which
the method is expecting)?Hi Anish,
Well first off, your web service doesn't send or receive "objects". It only sends
and recieves XML, which is in turn converted to/from Java objects at invocation
time. Second, a .NET (or Perl, or Python, or C++) client will be able to call
your web service, because the wsdl.exe tool (for .NET) will generate "programming
language specific" objects from the <types><schema> elements, in the WSDL of your
web service :-) The wsdl.exe tool will create C# objects from the WSDL, that will
convert XML to/from C# when your web service is called. That's the beauty of XML
schema - it's a "universal typing system", so it's not tied to a particular programming
language. The only issue is whether or not the web services platform vendor's
XML Schema/WSDL processor, can successfully process the WSDL. Some vendors have
more complete implementations of the WSDL and XML Schema specs than others, so
expect varying success here. The one in WLS 7.0 is pretty good, so you shouldn't
have too many problems consuming WSDL generated by .NET tools (or any other tool
for that matter).

Calling functions from SOAP webservice. Can't access webservice functions.
Hi flex gurus,
I am quite new to flex. I am working on an flex application where I am trying to remotely invoke a SOAP webservice which is a wsdl file from Adobe flex 4.6.
I have authenticated the webservice(Basic Authentication Done) and got access to wsdl but I am unable to call the functions in it. I just want to pass the username and password for the user login to the service function which will give me the data useful for my application, but nothing is returned when the webservice function is called.
I am totally blocked at this point. Please help me.
Thanks in advance.Below is my code snippet. But nothing is returned from th service, what is the problem???

Use HTTPS to access webservice on standalone OC4J
I have followed the instructions in the Oracle Containers for J2EE Security Guide for setting up SSL (Chapter 15) on standalone OC4J. I have also looked at Tugs blog about using HTTPS with web services. I believe I have everything setup right but have a problem.
BTW, I am using a standalone OC4J instance that is also an ESB server. Prior to doing the SSL setup I already had 2 test web services running that could be accessed via http just fine.

All I really want is to access the 2 web services via HTTPS. I can access the default applciation via https just fine but when I try to use https to access the web services I get a 404 Not found error (after first getting a security alert popup). I can still access the services via http though. In the log of the server I have the following errors that occured on startup of OC4J. They pertain to the secure web site and there is an error for each web service. I don't understand what they mean/what the problem is:
<MSG_TEXT>Internal error raised tyring to instantiate web-application: WebServices defined in web site OC4J 10g (10.1.3) Secure Web Site. Error compiling :C:\OracleESB\j2ee\home\applications\Test-elexnet_service2-WS\WebServices: Error instantiating compiler: IO error writing cache: C:\OracleESB\j2ee\home\application-deployments\Test-elexnet_service2-WS\WebServices\deployment-cache.jar</MSG_TEXT>

Anyone know what is going on? TIA!
NickI found that when I REMOVED the following from the default-web-site.xml
<web-app application="Test-elexnet_service-WS" name="WebServices" load-on-startup="true" root="/Test-elexnet_service-context-root" />
<web-app application="Test-elexnet_service2-WS" name="WebServices" load-on-startup="true" root="/Test-elexnet_service2-context-root" />
and restarted OC4J, then everything is ok and I don't get any errors. However I can only access the web services via HTTPS and not HTTP.
Anybody got any ideas? -
Problem accessing webservice from abstract portal component
Hi,
I have created a webservice from a portal service. So i have created one more portal application to accessing that web service. In that, i have done the following:
-> Portal Service from Wsdl file - Client Side
-> I have entered the Wsdl file name as, the location of the WebService
-> I have selected the methods what i want to use in my application
-> Finally i have given my ServiceName, Alias and Package as well.
-> I have created one application object (Abstract Portal Component) to access the Web Service.
-> Inside that AbstractPortalComponent, i have written the coding to access the methods.
-> I have created one system with System Alias, i used this Alias name in my portalapp.xml
While running it shows the error as,
<b>com.sapportals.portal.prt.service.ServiceException: Service not found: com.sap.portal.prt.soap.Alias</b>
Help me in this, Thanks in Advance.,
With Regards,

GuruHi Guru,
the procedure to use a WS is as follow
1. Use the SAP xmltoolkit and generate client binding for your WS, which is the stub class, parameter and return type classes of the WS methods, if any.
2.Import the created WS client jar from step 1 to your EJB module project
3. In your session bean: instantiate the stub and call a WS method on this stub
That's all there is to it.
Best Regards
Gregor
Ps. The NWDS Help has also tutorial regarding WS usage. -
Cannot access webservice homepage...
I am having problems accessing the webservice homepage. It simply cannot be accessed. I get this in SMICM
Application Server State
HTTP Application Server Handler
ABAP Server operational = TRUE
J2EE Server configured = TRUE
J2EE HTTP port = 50000
J2EE HTTPS port = 50001
J2EE Server operational = TRUE
Default root access handler = J2EE
URL Prefix Table loaded = TRUE
URL Prefix Table
URL Prefix Virtual Host Case Sensitive Part
/sap/public/formgraphics/ :;
/sap_java/ :;
/test30/ :;
/sap/ :;
In WSADMIN, the following is configured as the J2EE server :
http://eszsansrv010:8080
Is the port right?
I try also the following but it doesn't work:
http://eszsansrv010:50000/AdobeDocumentServices/Config
The Java stack has just been installed.
Thanks
Leonardo De AraujoJust noticed 2 things:
1 - It resolves if I enter the IP instead of the server name and using port 50000
http://10.34.1.8:50000/wsnavigator/jsps/explorer.jsp?wsdl=http%3A%2F%2Feszsansrv010.esz.xstrata.int%3A8000%2Fsap%2Fbc%2Fsrt%2Frfc%2Fsap%2FZMAT_WS_MEASUREMENTPOINTS%3Fsap-client%3D003%26wsdl%3D1.1&description=WebServiceZMAT_WS_MEASUREMENTPOINTS&name=ZMAT_WS_MEASUREMENTPOINTS
Should I change my J2EE server settings?
Should I use port 50000?
Thanks

Error 1009 when accessing webservice elements
I'm learning flex and Flash Builder 4.6 and doing a small example project.
I've created a mobile app test using a web service. I got the web service to work, creating xml dataset. I can get the flex code to access the web service and read the file. That works so far. The code reads the whole xml file from the web service and presents it. What I don't quite see is how to read only the elements. When I specify the .LastResult.element.element I get Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference. during runtime.
I can post the webservice xml result if that helps. Thanks for any insights.
Here's the code

Try tracing out SampleWebServiceCS.GetMember and you'll quickly see where along your .element.element path you have an error.
(BTW, I've not used s:Operation before, but is your syntax correct?)
