Acsessing sub movieclips from swc file

i'm trying to bild a map of my country, i created a map on flash cs3, then selected all of them and converted to a movieclip  named as 'turkey'. after that i gived a diffrend name for all of my city graphics in 'turkey' and converted them to movie clip, like in image shown.
i exported 'turkey' as 'turkiye.swc'. Created new flex project and on libary tab instaled my swc file. i can show my map with those codes:
Harita.mxml
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<mx:Application xmlns:mx="http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml" layout="absolute" xmlns:local="*" xmlns:harita="*">
<mx:Canvas height="100%" width="100%">
  <mx:HBox top="10" left="10"  horizontalAlign="center" verticalAlign="middle"><harita:turkiye  id="hede"/></mx:HBox>
</mx:Canvas>
</mx:Application>
turkiye.as
package {
import mx.core.UIComponent;
public class turkiye extends UIComponent {
  private var harita:MovieClip;
  public function turkiye() {
   harita = new turkey();
   addChild(harita);
my problem is this: how can acsess my citys? i want to add event listeners to my citys named as il01, il02... but "harita.il01.addEventListener" not working, i can acsees them with
var istanbul:il34 = new il34;
istanbul.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_OVER, function():void{ Alert.show('found')});
but event not working, if i add it as child to 'harita', i'ts working but shown one more istanbul in my map at 0,0
i can't find my citys in "turkey()", where is my wrong?Best Regards and sory for my english

We also have a similar problem.

    Hi All,
    I have one .dbf file which is not attached to any database. I have installed and created an Oracle 10g database. How can i attach that .dbf file to a fresh database or can i retrieve data from .dbf file and import into new database?Just one datafile? Well, you can't attach the datafile to a database just like that and start reading it. Oracle is not, as Billy has told you already, is not Access or Excel that you can just start reading its contents. Even if you attach it to some other tablespace, without ensuring that the datafile is self-contained , I doubt it would be much of any use.
    This is just my thought :- can i use HSODBC (I know this is for non-oracle database) in order to retrieve data ... Just askingNo.

  • Understanding class "fingerprints" with SWC files

    I'm sorry for a very poorly structured question. I just run out of English... I hope one of you guess what's the problem and can provide better words to describe it!
    I'm having hard time understanding how classes from SWC files are handled when the app is complied with Flash Builder. We have about 50 SWC files, all compiled from corresponding FLA files. Their libraries contain elements that have AS3 linkages and in the end, there are plenty of classes involved. The classes are packaged in SWC files and Flash Builder finds them just fine. Some AS3 linkages have the same name, which is OK, because they are essentially the same library elements and we don't want to have duplicates in the app. Also plenty of AS3 linkages have same base classes, which means plenty of SWC files carry those base class definitions too, but only one is really needed.
    Sometimes everything works, sometimes something breaks. It almost seems like the moon phase affects whether the end result works or not... Sometimes recompiling SWC files helps with one problem, but breaks something else. This leads me to guess, that Flash Builder selects the available classes based on the date of the SWC files? If more than one SWC files have the same class definition, Flash Builder selects the newest?
    The error we encounter, is "AS3 Error #1034: Type Coercion failed:", which is related to having one of these shared AS3 linkages (let's say SharedClass) on the timeline of a MovieClip. This means it is *not* created with the new keyword! So if SharedClass is defined in SWC1 and SWC2, maybe Flash Builder decides to use the one from SWC1. This means that elements from SWC2 that use SharedClass will use SWC1's definition of it. But for some reason this doesn't always work as it should. It helped, when I changed how AS3 references the instances declared on the timeline: "var mySharedClassObject:SharedClass" --> "var mySharedClassObject:*" but I don't understand why...
    This leads me to believe, that the SharedClass in SWC1 and SWC2 have different "fingerprints" which makes the class casting break in some situations. When I use "new" keyword, everything works, because it doesn't matter which definition will be used. But when the class is created on the timeline, it may require exact fingerprint of that class?
    Most of those cases are easily cleaned, but I'm also running into problems with some classes that have only one definition! If the AS3 linkage of SWC1 has the same base class, than AS3 linkage of SWC2, we run into the same problem. This is because both SWC1 and SWC2 contain the definition of the base class and maybe they have different fingerprints, even though our base classes are just AS3 files (no linkages).
    Does this make any sense?
    Anyone know a way to see the class name collisions and potential problems?

    If different SWC are using exactly the same class, there’s no problem. If more than one is using the same named class, and the two or more copies are different, they it’s down to the order they get compiled, and that can vary.
    Make sure that everywhere that a class has the same name, it’s identical to the other ones. Remember that MovieClips become classes too, so if you have a shared library item named “title”, and it’s different for each SWC because the graphic instead the MovieClip is different, then you’ll get big problems.
    One easy solution is to put the classes into a dedicated folder, like:
    src/com/yourname/game1/Title.as
    and:
    src/com/yourname/game2/Title.as
    instead of:
    src/com/yourname/games/Title.as
    You will end up with a lot of identical things in memory, but they have a different path, and won’t clash with each other.
    Another thing to know, if you use GetDefinitionByName(“class1”), the main document class needs to know about those classes. This will solve that problem:
    public var namedClasses:Array = [class1,class2,class3];
    Then when the compiler is doing its thing, it doesn’t go into shock when an embedded SWC is creating an instance of a class from the shared name.
    So, make sure things are truly identical, or make sure they have a different path.

  • There are some strange problems when i used swc files in my as3 project

    Hello everyone,
            My development environment:  fdk4.0,  flash cs5.5,  I publish fla file by using flash cs5.5,   publish setting is  fp version :10.0&10.1 ->swc. I imported swc files to my as3 project and  complied them by using flex sdk4.0. When i run my project,fp was crash.   when i republished on fp 10.2, the project works. Is there any reason?
            another strange problem, for example   a MovieClip's aslink named "A" in swc, it has a textfield named "subText".  I write code like below:
                            var mc:A = new A();
                            mc.subText.text = "test";
             when mc called "subText" , fp throws null property error, it can't find  subText..  very small number of movieclips have this problem,  I sloved this by duplicating a new one and rename it.
             but i don't  know why ?
              thank you for your reply.

    I should have figured that out from your original post. I think there is a possibility that your bookmarks/history database (places.sqlite) has a corrupted record. Rather than take drastic action on that immediately, could you do a test? The test is to exit Firefox, rename your existing database, and restart Firefox. Firefox should import your last bookmarks backup. You then could check whether the problem remains or whether you got a clean restore of bookmarks. After the test, assuming you prefer to retain your history, you could undo the procedure and try restoring your bookmark backup into the database to see whether that overwrites the problem record. If not, then we would go back to possible drastic action.
    '''Test procedure''':
    Open your current Firefox settings (AKA Firefox profile) folder using
    Help > Troubleshooting Information > "Show Folder" button
    Switch back to Firefox and Exit
    Pause while Firefox finishes its cleanup, then rename '''places.sqlite''' to something like places_20130614.sqlite. Keep this window open.
    Restart Firefox. By design, Firefox should import your last automatic bookmark backup.
    If you return to the Library dialog, how does it look?
    '''To reverse the test''' (but preserve a backup of your history/bookmark database):
    Exit Firefox
    Delete the newly created places.sqlite file
    Right-click copy and paste the places_20130614.sqlite and rename the copy to places.sqlite
    Restart Firefox and open the Library dialog. Should look like it did a few minutes ago before any changes.
    ''If the test showed no corruption,'' try to restore your last bookmarks backup. The procedure is described in this article: [[Restore bookmarks from backup or move them to another computer]].
    Does any of that get us closer to a solution?

  • Loading library.swf (unpacked from swc) using loader() and using it's assets

    I try to load libary.swf from an swc file in order to use it's library items.
    i load the library.swf using urlrequest and loader() and then use getDefinition() to fetch the class definition

    i simply created the swc file by adding library assets to an swf file, converting them to a flex component and extending each compoent with the UIMovieClip class.
    when i load the swf file from a url (http) i get the following error:

  • Flex project into a single SWC file!!

    please help me with this problem:
    i created an image gallery using actionscript 3.0 classes in Flash CS4...in one of the classes, i used a mask Movieclip to mask the thumbnails in the gallery...this mask movieclip is a rectangle Movieclip symbol in the library that is exported for actionscript...
    in order to run my application in Flex 3, i did the following:
    a. i placed the classes in a folder called "com"
    b. i placed my assets (the images) in folder called "images"
    placed both "com" & "images" folders in the "src" folder of my Flex project
    c. i exported the mask movieclip symbol from the Flash library as a SWC file, and placed the SWC file in the "lib" folder of my Flex project
    d. i dragged my custom component (image gallery) onto the stage
    e. in the main MXML application file, i went to "Design Mode" and found my custom component under the "Custom" folder..i dragged the component on the stage
    and my gallery worked fine!
    now the problem happened when i tried to compile the WHOLE Flex project as a SINGLE SWC file...in order to compile the whole Flex project as a SINGLE SWC file, i did the following:
    1. i created a new Flex Library Project
    2. i placed my classes folder ("com") and my images folder ("images") in the "src" directory of the Flex library project
    3. i went to Project --> Properties --> Flex Library Build Path -->
    - on the "Classes" tab, i checked the ("com") folder which contains all of the classes
    - on the "Assets" tab, i checked the ("images") folder which contains all of the images
    - on the "Library Path" tab, i clicked the "Add SWC" button, browsed to my mask movieclip SWC file (that i created earlier from the mask movieclip symbol in the library in Flash CS4) and selected it
    I then pressed Ok,and now a SWC file that represents my project was created in the "bin" directory of my Flex library project
    4. I created a new Flex project, and in the "lib" folder i placed the SWC file that was created in the Flex Library project...in the main MXML application file, i went to "Design Mode" and found my custom component under the "Custom" folder..i dragged the component on the stage
    BUT NOTHING DISPLAYS!!
    so obviously there's a problem in "condensing" the whole project as single SWC file
    could someone please help me!!
    thanx a lot

    I am also facing same problem, when i am including librabry in  application not able to see any image...............can you tell me the solution.................................thanks

  • Loading a movieClip from a class

    Hello all,
    I'm attempting to write an AS 2.0 class using Flash through
    which I can load and control multiple movie clips in the library
    and from external files. I've attempted multiple different ways,
    don't quite seem to be able to get the images to show up on the
    screen. After some time searching, I've been unable to find a good
    example online. Please excuse my inexperience with AS classes.
    I'd like to write a class that extends MovieClip and is used
    to control multiple 'sub' movieClips, all from methods inside the
    instantiated class.
    From .fla file, I call instantiate my class as follows:
    var theScene:sphere3D = new sphere3D();
    In the constructor of my class file, I'm attempting to attach
    or load a movie. I simply want to get it to show up on the screen,
    when I test the .fla movie. I've tried using attachMovie and
    loadMovie with not luck.
    dynamic class sphere3D extends MovieClip {
    function sphere3D() {
    this.attachMovie("shadow","shadow",1); // shadow being a
    movie clip in the .fla library with linkage
    shadow._x = 100;
    shadow._y = 100;
    this.createEmptyMovieClip ("shadow2", 100);
    shadow2._x = 100;
    shadow2._y = 100;
    shadow2.loadMovie("images/cube.png");
    What am I doing wrong? Suggestions for stuff to test would be
    welcome.
    Thank you,
    dana.

    Ah, thank you, that make sense now. The solution you
    suggested worked great.
    I did also find two other solutions, for anyone else who
    might read this. One is to essentially create an empty movieclip on
    your timeline. From the linkage window for the empty movieclip, I
    made sure I set the Class field to the name of the class I'd
    written, something I didn't do previously. This attaches all the
    class actionscript to the empty movieclip, and even automatically
    runs the constructor when the empty movieclip is placed on the
    timeline. It also automatically provides a 'reference' to the main
    timeline when I refer to this.attachMovie() from inside the class.
    So it worked, but isn't as elegant as doing everything from the
    actionscript (unless you are building a component).
    The last reference I came across is the
    Object.registerClass() method used to attach as class to an object,
    similar to using the Linkage method above. But I haven't
    successfully tried it yet.
    Thanks again for the help kglad,
    dana.

  • How to open saved files using 'read from text file' function

    Hi everyone, I am having a hard time trying to solve the this particular problem ( probably because I am a newb to lanbview ). Anyway , I am able to save the acquired waveforms by using the 'Write to text file' icon. I did manually modify the block diagram of the 'Write to text file' icon and create the correct number of connector so as to make my program work. But now I have no idea on how to modify the block diagram of the 'Read from text file' block diagram to make my program 'open' my saved waveforms. Or i do not have to modify anything from the block diagram of the 'Read from text file'? Can anyone teach/help me connect up? Do i need the build array on the "open" page?
    Here are some screenshots on part of my program
    let me know if you guys would need more information / screenshots thank you!

    Ohmy, thanks altenbach. oh yeah i forgot about those sub VIs. will upload them now. Was rather demoralized after reading the comments and really struck me on how weak i'm at on labview really hope to get this done. But of course i have to study through and see how it works. Actually i am going to replace those 'signal generators sub vi' with ThoughtTechonology's sample code so i can obtain data waveforms real-time using Electrocardiography (ECG) ,Electromyography (EMG ) and Electroencephalography (EEG) hopefully i can find out how to connect the sample code.
    ( ps . cant connect it now unless my program is working otherwise labview will crash )
    ( p.s.s the encoder of my biofeedback trainer already acts as an DAQ so i wont need to place an DAQ assistant in my block diagram i suppose )
    The sample code of ThoughtTechnology is named as attachment.ashx.vi. too bad i cant use it and present it as my project

    Use the Organizer backup & restore method, starting the restore from the TLY file. Probably best to use a custom location as the XP file structure will be different. See this link for further help:

  • How do I reference a dynamically created MovieClip from another MovieClip?

    Hi,
    I'd be grateful for any pointers to the following problem:
         I'm having trouble referencing dynamically created MovieClips (links in a side panel on a Flash website, created from an XML file) from the current MovieClip (the currently selected link).
         I wish to freeze the the link/MovieClip in its mouseOver state once it has been clicked - this part works. When a new link/MovieClip is clicked on, I wish to release the previously clicked-on link from its mouseOver state, which is what I've so far been unable to do.
         My problem seems to be referencing the previous link/MoveClip. I've used the trace statement trace(MovieClip(this).name) to determine that the MovieClips are named item0, item1, item2 and so on. However, I've been unable thus far to reference the previous clip thus far. I've tried to trace the route to the MovieClip from the stage, and also tried MovieClip(parent).item0.gotoAndStop and lots of other different permutations, but to no avail. It's the fact they seem to be in a container called 'panel' which is defeating me.
         Here's a live version I've uploaded, which might explain the problem better. Click on "UBER UNS" in the top menu bar to get to the page in question. It's the links on the left-hand side (Historie, Unser Team, etc.) which are the problem. You'll see that once they've been clicked on they remain in their mouseOver state.
         This is the code in question on the fla file, which is a file I did not create myself. The parts in black work fine; it's the red parts where the problem lies:
    import flash.display.MovieClip;
    panel.buttonMode = true;
    var lang:uint = 1;
    var url_Link:String=MovieClip(root).program.websiteXML .language[lang].pages.titlePage[MovieClip(root).program.linkPage].texts.pageList.txt[numT XT].@link;
    var urlPage:Number=Number(MovieClip(root).program.webs iteXML.language[lang].pages.titlePage[MovieClip(root).program.linkPage].texts.pageList.tx t[numTXT].@linkPage);
    var request:URLRequest;
    var linkIndex:uint;
    var lastClickedLink:MovieClip;   //This is supposed to store the last link that has been clicked - it doesn't work
    panel.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, clicLink);
    panel.addEventListener(MouseEvent.ROLL_OVER, mouseOverLink);
    panel.addEventListener(MouseEvent.ROLL_OUT, mouseOutLink);
    function mouseOverLink(event:MouseEvent):void {
          MovieClip(this).gotoAndPlay('s1');
    function mouseOutLink(event:MouseEvent):void {
          if(numTXT !== (linkIndex - 1)/5){         //freezes mouseOver state if this is the link for the current page
               MovieClip(this).gotoAndPlay('s2');
    function clicLink(event:MouseEvent):void {
          var linkpage:uint = MovieClip(root).program.linkPage;
          if (url_Link) {
               request = new URLRequest(url_Link);
               navigateToURL(request);
          } else {
               linkIndex = numTXT * 5 + 1;
               if(linkpage == 1){
                   MovieClip(root).chPages.cont.page_about_mc.page3Tu  rner_mc.gotoAndStop([linkIndex]);
              } else if (linkpage == 2){
                   MovieClip(root).chPages.cont.page3_mc.page3Turner_  mc.gotoAndStop([linkIndex]);
         lastClickedLink.gotoAndPlay('s2');  // this is supposed to release the previous clicked-on link from it's mouseOver state - doesn't work
         lastClickedLink = MovieClip(this).name;    //this is supposed to set the new link as the last link clicked after the old one has been released from it's mouseOver state - doesn't work
    If anyone can help, that would be great.

    What you might be after for that line is to use:
    lastClickedLink = MovieClip(event.currentTarget);
    For what you show, the name property of an object is a String, so I would expect you to be getting an error regarding trying to get a String to act like a MovieClip when you try to tell it to gotoAndPlay('s2').

  • Probleme changing the value of a variable in movieclip from my scene

    Hello,
    i have a probleme changing the value of a variable in movieclip from my scene. i explain: I have combobox on my scene containing categories, and in the scene i load an xml file containing links to php files that work with the combobox.
    Also on the scene i have a movieclip "filmstrip", inside this movieclip on the first frame i have a script loading the php file selected in the scene . i use a load() function with a variable "theUrl" inside like this : T.load(theUrl);.
    In my scene i want to change the value of "theUrl" inside the movieClip filmstrip. I tried filmstrip.theUrl = url; But it doesnt work
    the xml file
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?>
    <slideshow>
    <area title1="10 Last updated" link1="link1.php"/>
    <area title1="special" link1="link2.php"/>
    </slideshow>
    here is the code on my scene:
    var link1:Array = new Array();
    var LINK:String;
    var url:String;
    var whoOn:Number;
    whoOn=0;
    var x:XML = new XML();
    x.ignoreWhite = true;
    x.onLoad = function(success) {
    var photos:Array = this.firstChild.childNodes;
    for (i=0; i<photos.length; i++) {
    _root.link1.push(photos[i].attributes.link1);
    url=link1[whoOn];
    filmstrip.theUrl=url;//<<--HERE
    x.load("category.xml");
    var cbListener:Object = new Object();
    cbListener.change = function(event_obj:Object) {
    trace(select.selectedItem.label);
    if (select.selectedItem.label == "Last updated") {
    whoOn=0;
    } else if (select.selectedItem.label == "Special") {
    whoOn=1;
    url=link1[whoOn];
    filmstrip.theUrl=url; //<<-----HERE
    select.addEventListener("change",cbListener);
    here is the code inside the movie clip "filmstrip"
    var T:XML = new XML();
    T.ignoreWhite = true;
    T.onLoad = function(xml) {
    etc etc etc }
    T.load(theUrl);    //<<---HERE it still undefined

  • Adobe Air + Box2D.swc = TypeError: Error #1009 // New way to handle .swc files in Flash for iOS Apps?

    Hi,
    I need your help please - I have to update one of my iOS Apps. In this App I use Box2d for a simple maze game (it's an app for kids). When I publish & test this game on my Mac it works fine. I can drag my Hero (fish) through this Maze and all collision detections, gravity etc. work perfect.
    When I test it on my iPad it doesn't work. The device debugger shows this error message:
    TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference.

    Line 31: loader = new CLibInit();
    I guess "CLibInit" should come from the .swc file.
    The thing is:
    I didn't change anything in this maze game - it seems this has to do something with the new Flash and/or Adobe Air version. Box2D.swc file is included:
    It always worked like this - and it works when testing it on my Mac - but it is no longer working on my current system.
    So I started my Mac from an older system (10.9.5 on an external HD) and published the App from Flash CS6 and Adobe Air 13.0 - then it suddenly worked on my iPad as before. I was able to tap an the fish and drag it arround.
    The same project / app published from my current OS X 10.10 + Flash CC 2014 + Adobe Air 15.0.0.302 is not working. I always receive this Error Message - I can not drag the fish - nothing happens. And I have no idea why this happens and what else I could do. I searched the whole day for a solution but didn't find anything.
    So did anything change by the way Flash and/or Air handles .swc files? Is there an other way to include: import cmodule.Box2D.* / CLibInit ?
    Please - if anyone has a clue - please let me know!!
    Best regards
    Jan

    Update:
    There is also an Android Version of this App. I just published and tested a new version of it on my kindle fire & Samsung Galaxy Tab 2. On both Tablets the maze works perfect. I'm able to drag the fish around etc.
    Then I published this Android Version for iOS and tested it on my iPad. Again I'm getting the Error message:
    TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference.

    ...and the fish is stuck - I can't drag it - nothing happens. So this error only occurs when I publish the App for iOS - as an .ipa. Did anything change in the way Air handles .swc files?
    I'm totally confused
    If anybody has an idea what I could try - PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!

  • Problem with using swc files in Flash Player 10

    I have two Actionscript projects in Flex. One is using Flash Player 9 the other is using 10.  Both projects use the fl classes specifically FLVPlayback.
    In the Flash Player 10 project I am using the recently released version 2.5.  Both players use individual controls instead of a complete skin swf.  So the code goes something like video_player.playPauseButton = playPauseBtn.  All the swc files are imported through properties-ActionScript Build Path-Library path-add swc.  This all works great in both projects exept in the Flash Player 10 project the volumeBar swc does not load properly.  In the debug variables for a break point at the function below in FLVPlayback.as the variables handleLeftMargin, handleRightMargin, handleLinkageID and handleY are missing even though they are all in the original fla used to compile the swc.  I have tried compiling swc in both Flash CS3 and 4.  I have tried moving the Actionscript inside the fla files but nothing changes. This leads me to believe it is a bug in the Flash Player 10 or the version 10 playerglobal.swc since this part of FLVPlayback.as is identical in versions 2 and 2.5. The result is that only the volume bar renders but no handle. Debugging all through fl.video.UIManager.as handle_mc remains null?
           public function set volumeBar(s:Sprite):void {
                uiMgr.setControl(UIManager.VOLUME_BAR, s);
    In the Actionscript 9 project all the variables are accounted for so the volume bar and handle render and work fine.

    Further info for anyone who can help!
    I am opening a session from a server via the following sql
    statement:-
    http://servername/virtualdirectoryname?sql=SELECT
    * FROM table1 for XML auto&root=root"
    I only get the popup window when trying it out from our
    webserver?
    The server is MS SQLServer
    The virtualdirectory is created with access set as Windows,
    and always log on set as "myusername" + "mypassword"
    So I thought (hoped) I could pass the "myusername" +
    "mypassword"
    bits into the above sql statement (maybe appended at the
    end?)
    If I type the above sql statement into a browser it works
    perfectly with the xml returned in a web page,
    also as I state above, when I run it from within my flash
    prog on my local machine it runs OK and returns the results into
    the text area specified within the flash prog.
    BUT - When I upload my flash prog to the webserver and try it
    from there, I get a windows popup asking me for username + password
    + domainname.
    any ideas please?
