ActionScript 2.0 to be able to embed URL into SWF file?

Hello,
It seems that the web based newspaper who is going to publish my ad banner doesn't have flash player 10 (or 9). My ad banner was made in Flash CS4 / ActionScript 3.0. Instead I now have to change the code in my invisible button to ActionScript 2.0 to be able to publish it in flash player 8. What is the ActionScript 2.0 code so I can make the same embed URL into my SWF file as I did with the following ActionScript 3.0:

As far as I know, the Flash player version should not be of any significance to the host service. It is the Flash player in the site visitor's web browser that decides matters.
In any case, that code would become...

Ha! Perfectly classic case of XY problem! Pointed out by Jongware in some other thread recently - couldn't find an exact link right now...

Moving js and embed code into linked files

Hello all,
I am trying to "optimize" some of my web pages by moving as
much code as possible into linked files. I'm using Flash 8 in
conjunction with Dreamweaver 8. I am also employing some DW
behaviors, like swap image, that generate javascript.
I am wondering if it's possible to put the javascript code
and all the code thats generated to embed Flash movies into a page
into a linked file, and if so, how?
Any direction will be much appreciated,

[IDS3 JAVA] Saving an embed link into a file

Hello,
I have a rectangle that contains a link - this link is embeded, and the source file is not available from the server. Is there a way to save this linked document into a file or to have the array of "byte[]" 5for example) of the data of the linked file ?
I take any other solutions ...

My mistake.... the unembed function take a folder as parameter... so I can unembed a file even if the link doesn't exist.

Flash CS4 - How to embed characters into font symbol ?

Does anybody know how to decide what characters will be

symbols?
For now, it seems that Flash has unchangable list of
characters which will
be added. Unfortunately there are no characters used in
central Europe which
means that Flash can't be used to present dynamic text
contents in these
countries. Maybe somebody knows how to workaround this bug if

In the meantime I have found the source of the problem!
Responsibility for
all problems bears option "export for ActionScript" checked
on in font
symbol. When this option is activated another character set
is embedded into
SWF file than in case when option says inactive.
I have created FLA file with one dynamic field and embedded
font symbol with
default name Font 1. Dynamic field has 6 characters added to
"Character
Embedding". "Font 1" family is assigned to this text field.
When SWF is
exported then those 6 characters are present in size report.
Only those
characters can be used in text field content obviously. Other
will be not
displayed, which is ok.
Now I turn on option "export for ActionScript" in font
symbol. The size
report shows that much more characters is exported but
WITHOUT any Polish
characters even if they were included into mentoned above 6
characters.
Since then it stopped to be possible using CE characters.
If you want I can create 2 FLA files differ from each other
state of that
option.

I have imported a PDF form (created in adobe acrobat XI pro) into FormsCentral. I now want to convert this document into a web form so I can embed it into my website. HOW DO I DO THIS?

I took a word document I had created and added fields to it in Adobe Acrobat XI Pro. I then imported the PDF in Forms Central and now I am stuck. All I am able to do with it in FormsCentral is add a submit button. It will not allow me to edit the document in FormsCentral. What I ultimately need to do is get this converted to a web form so that I can embed it into our company website. Additionally, once it's converted, I need to add an option for the user to attach their resume with the file before submitting. I have looked all over the web and I cannot find an answer as to whether or not I can convert PDFs to web forms in FormsCentral. This will ultimately determine whether or not the company decides to purchase these programs after the trial version has ended in a few days.

I tried that first, but FormsCentral does not have the capability to create tables. The form I need to create is more advanced than what FormsCentral allows. Do you know if there is a way to create or somehow import a table when creating a web based form on FormsCentral?

How to embed font into PDF - Listener 2.0.2 FOP configuration

I need to embed custom font into PDF report in order to print one of Slovenian characters: Č (C with caron) This character shows as # sign when I generate standard PDF report using Apex 4.2.2 and Listener 2.0.2. As far as I understand 14 native Adobe PDF fonts are based on Windows 1252 encoding. This encoding doesn't include mentioned Slovenian character.
Oracle White paper http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/apex/learnmore/custom-pdf-reports-1953918.pdf says:
"APEX Listener 2.0.2 supports only the Base-14 fonts. To configure additional fonts, see this document: Apache(tm) FOP: Fonts "
I was able to embed my custom font into standard Apache FOP report server. Solution consist of saving two files my_font.ttf and my_font.xml to server and update of FOP userconfig.xml file (fonts part where path to saved 2 files have to be specified)
How can I do this on Apex Listener 2.0.2 ? Where is located userconfig.xml file?

There is no way we can control the fonts in the created PDF / while creating the PDF using the class cl_document_bcs in your PDF creation logic.
You can try some other approach of creating PDF from the Smartforms OTF stream data .
Try using the follosing FM for the PDF creation and sending email:
CONVERT_OTF_2_PDF
CONVERT_OTF_AND_MAIL
SO_OBJECT_SEND
CONVERT_OTF_AND_MAIL_NEW (Try this but this FM still uses the class that you are using currently. But give it a try and see the results)

But in that case user need to download 2 applications right. I need user to download my parent application created using Flash and that package contain one more ipa created using Xcode, so from my parent app only user should able to open my 2nd app. Is there any way to do that?
Ps: I am not talking about in-app but 2 individual apps inside one package.

How to embed audio into file for export to pdf

Hello, I've transcribed a two-hour lecture and copied it into Indesign. I would like to create a pdf with the audio of the lecture embedded in it so that when the reader clicks on a paragraph or a button the audio for that particular sentence or section starts up. The point is to allow the reader ready-access to the audio that corresponds with the transcript. Ideally the reader could click anywhere in the text and the audio would start there. Does anyone have any suggestions for making this kind of document? much appreciated.

no pardon necessary! i need to embed the audio file because it contains the original lecture, that's what I want the reader to have access to while reading the transcription, since the transcription is not meant to substitute for but rather supplement the audio. for example, in the transcribed text I have put "[...]" for segments of the recording that are inaudible. If I put the original audio into the file then the reader has the option of going to that specific section and listening to it themselves. basically i want to create a pdf document of a lecture. I want to be able to highlight important parts of the lecture, search the lecture for key-words, and scan it quickly for specific items of interest, but I also want easy access to the original audio because tone of voice isn't translatable into text (and the tone of voice in this case is important for meaning), and because there are many segments that I couldn't hear, so I'm trying to figure out the best way to link sections of the text to specific sections of the audio.

Embed barcode in pdf file

I'm not sure this is possible, but maybe someone has a smart idea. I've got a pdf that users are printing off our website which is used as a registration card. What I'd like to be able to do is insert a barcode onto that pdf when it's viewed/printed, plus add that barcode to their user record.
I have a custom tag I downloaded somewhere which allows me to create barcodes in .gif or .jpg format, which has been very useful. But...how to embed that into a pdf? Anyone think it's possible? I've played some with CFIMAGE for other things, but I can't see a way to use that tag to do this.

.swf being able to load contents into it issue. Please help?

I have strange situation regarding flash that I can't figure out. I have a flash .swf file that is intended to load .flv video files into them at the local root level.
I have been able to do this on my own server, but the .swf and the .flv videos are now located on the media streaming server, and the .swf is able to show up on it's own when embedded onto my page (on MY server), but it's not being able to load the video files. I am perplexed because the videos are structured in the same EXACT way that it was being done on my server, but they will not load onto my .swf as they were doing when they were on my server.
For example, one of the videos is loaded by using this convention in my actionscript:
var file = "videos/Bob_Peebler.flv";
So, on my media hosting service, I've loaded the .swf file on the local root, and the videos are placed in the same exact directory structure as they were done on my server. In the example above, the "bob_peebler.flv" is located inside the videos folder, and the videos folder is on the same level as the .swf
In my flash file, I've thought that the var needs to point to the actual URL of the flash file, so I've then typed out the URL of the flash video, but I still can't seem to get it to work.

On my flash, I already have those parameters in place.
I don't think there would be any security issues however, since I have used a player .swf which loads from the media site and plays the videos without a problem.

Now, I am pretty much doing the same thing, but this time embedding the other swf to load the videos. As I mentioned, I was able to do this when everything was on our server, but now there is an issue for some reason when I try to load the .flv into the .swf from the other media server.

How to embed html into keynote

I want to embed the youtube code for a vid into my keynote presentation so when I export to flash I can post the entire thing online, the presentation will work and I can watch the vid too. Any thoughts on how to embed html into a keynote page?

The only way to get video out of Keynote that I know of, is the QuickTime export. Now, if you use another tool after that (to convert the QuickTime video) that might be able to work for you.

How to Embed HTML into a Infopath form with out using the custom code???

I am updating a HyperLink(url) to an infopath Field (Such as Rich text box /Label) from a third party workflow(Nintex),it is not able to embed the html data .is it possible to embed html controls like <a> and <Br> tags in the infopath form?????

The InfoPath form can be configured to export some of the fields as columns... by doing so, the workflow can simply update the list item's metadata, and the value is pushed into the InfoPath form data.

Hi I was wondering how to embed an swf file inside another
swf file, If i simply import it to the stage or the library it will
become a symbol but the actionscript interactivity is lost, another

you can load an as2 file into an as3 file (using the loader
class) and the actionscript will work in both.

Embed interactive map HTML5 files in Muse CC website

I am illiterate when it comes to code and therefore I am using Muse and not Dreamweaver to build a website.
I have created a interactive map that I wish to embed in this Muse website, with Avenza Mapublisher, an Adobe Illustrator Plugin, and exported it to HTML5.
The result is an index.html file as well as a folder containing scripts and subfolders containing map tiles at different zoom levels.
When I open the index.html in a browser it works 100%.
Now I want to embed it into a Muse website.
The HTML code in the index.html can be inserted via Object - Insert HTML in Muse CC.
In order for it to work the scripts in the folder needs to accessed. I changed all relative paths in the HTML code to "assets/" and try to use the "add files for upload" function in Muse to upload the scripts as assets in Muse. This worked and the scrips could be accessed.
The map tiles however (jpg tiles in different subfolders for different zoom levels), reside in subfolders whose folder structure needs to be preserved.
Unfortunately Muse does not allow me to upload a folder as an asset. I cannot add the tiles in the subfolders individually, as the scripts, depending on the zoom level, fetches different tile sets from different subfolders.
Can anyone please give me directions on how to embed this map in a Muse website?
HTML5 that I wish to embed:
Inside the assets folder:
Inside layer_1_files folder (Different zoom levels)
Inside folder 12 for example (zoom level 12)

I was able to reproduce the problem at my end with a similar setup. This is happening as HTML5 renders images a little differently and Muse uses HTML5. So in your case, simply add the following CSS to Home -> Page Properties -> Metadata -> HTML for <head> and re-publish.

You might also want to re-upload /Narin-&-Portnoo.gif to the /assets/ folder as it appears it hasn't been uploaded properly and is currently generating a Bad request error. However, if re-uploading doesn't help, change the file name removing any special characters, re-upload and update the embedded HTML.
