Active State not working in Horizontal Menu Bar

I have a Horizontal Menu Bar.
I've set the Top Level Item with Normal, Rollover, Mouse Down and Active States to be different.
All three work on the Top Level Item, EXCEPT for Active State. When the menu is Active, and I move the mouse down the items, the Top Level Item defualts to the Normal State, NOT the Active State.
I've tried trashing the Active State and rebuilding it.  That did not work.
I can't figure out how to get the Top Level Item in the Menu Bar to display the Active State.
Hope someone has some suggestions, or knows if this is a bug.
Thanks.
Dave Coop.

Hmmm...I've just been playing around, and I think I got the Active State to work correctly.  I think my problem was not understand what Active State means.
To answer your question, I was changing the Font Color and Box Fill Color of the Active State.
I did not understand that Active State means the look of the Menu Item when the PAGE is active.  I thought it meant the look of the Menu item when the cursor is scrolling down the Menu (i.e. when the MENU is Active, not the page).
Look at this page for an example of what I'm trying to achieve...
http://www.pgavdestinations.com
When you hover over the "Work" menu item, and move the cursor down the menu, the state of "Work" remains changed until you move the cursor off of that menu column. It does NOT return back to it's Normal state until you are off of that menu column.
Is there a way to achieve this with the menu states in Muse?
Thanks for the replies!
Dave.

  • Y min value not working in horizontal Flash Bar Charts

    Hello All,
    Going crazy trying to work this one out.
    I have a problem with a Flash Chart (APEX version 3.0.1.00.07)
    The data mainly begins at 97 and goes to no more than 100, therefore I want the min to start at 96 so the results don't look to similiar. Why when I imput my minimum value, it does not work for Horizontal Flash charts ?
    It seems to work for stack or vertical charts, can something be done via the "custom XML" ?
    Link below use deatils as follows

    select option "Same day"

    Hi Deb,
    Both of your queries are using multi-series syntax i.e. returning more than one series of data, therefore your generated chart is actually generating 6 series rather than just the two that you're aiming for. You could try changing your queries to ensure they each generate a single series of information, which would then result in the extra Y-axis being applied to your "Series 2". Here's an example of what I mean:
    Series 1:
    select null link, label, value from (
    select 'test' label, 1 value from dual
    union all
    select 'test2' label, 2 value from dual
    union all
    select 'test3' label, 3 value from dual
    )Series 2:
    select null link, label, value from (
    select 'test' label, 100 value from dual
    union all
    select 'test2' label, 200 value from dual
    union all
    select 'test3' label, 300 value from dual
    )I hope this helps.

  • Why would menu button's active state not work? Regardless if I import PSD button or use menu widget from the widget library.

    I am using Adobe Muse CC (up-to-date) and tried to troubleshoot the following: Menu button's active state is not working, both on preview and after publishing. I tried many ways to place menu-designed buttons myself using photoshop and used widgets library (buttons, compositions, menus,etc.). Lastly, in regards to buttons, one of my menu buttons appear clear and crisp (psd button) and all others are blurry (though designed,saved and imported the same way);what could be the problem? Can anyone help?Thanks.

    That line is for pop up message?You would typically use a tool tip for that.
    The "Accessibility" features are different and I believe you need additional software to take advantage of them:

  • Active States Not Working on Anchor Links?

    Since updating to the newest version of Muse today, it seems that my parallax site's navigation button aren't displaying the "active" state once you scroll to an anchored position. This was working earlier today, it seems to be an issue with the newest version of Muse (v7.2, Build 230). Anyone else having this issue?
    Here's a link to the site. http://www.hillcreative.net

    I think this bug is back. I am using the latest Muse build.
    When I go to add a menu (manual) from the widget menu, I can add in the names of the buttons without issue.
    If I want to link out to other sites, no issue.
    However, if I add anchor links, things fall apart.
    It seems the first few links work without issue and with a fixed menu at the top, the page scrolls nicely to the area. However, I am noticing that the 4th and 5th button in a manual menu do not respond to active states and even the scrolling page navigation is wonky. The "team" and "contact" buttons never highlight, even when selected, nor do they navigate properly to the corresponidng anchor link.
    I have moved the anchor links deeper down the page to see if this makes a difference and it doesn't. It is as if the menu can't pick up the anchor points.
    I addition, when viewed on iOS devices (although not optimized) I get 2 active states selected in the menu.
    I think the script for this widget needs revisiting. Please advise.
    Here is a link to my temporary example:
    http://jbrubaker.fatcow.com/warwick/index.html
    The active state only shows up for the first 3 buttons...weird.
    (Windows 7 / All latest browers)
    Thanks!

  • Time not working in the menu bar.

    My problem is the time that the operating system is displaying in the menu bar. When I set the time to New York, Eastern Standard time, the clock displays an incorrect time of 5 hours prior. I have the clock set to automatically sync with Apple Americas/U.S. (time.apple.com). However, this doesn't help. This really disrupts correct functionality of iCal and I would really like to know how this issue can be resolved. Any ideas?

    Set up the whole thing again in system prefs.> Date & Time.
    Untick automatic and set to correct time & date.
    Check the time zone map and make sure the correct city is showing.
    Then the menu bar clock options.
    Then back to recheck Auto to the correct time site. (Choice of three here)
    Restart: fingers crossed.

  • Spry Horizontal Menu Bar not working in IE

    Hi! I am new to this forum and new to Dreamweaver. I recently used Dreamweaver to build a website to display my digital portfolio. I am not very good at this and don't understand much of this works. I inserted a spry horizontal menu bar for my navigation. I did change the original set up to have the background the colors I wanted and I also changed the size so it would go across the top of my page. This looks fine in Firefox and Safari but in Internet Explorer the bar displays vertically, which does not look good. Can anyone look at my code and tell me how I can fix this problem?
    I appreciate any help I can get with this as I have tried everything I know.

  • Horizontal Menu Bar works when index.html is appended to url, but not otherwise

    My spry horizontal menu bar works like I want when I put /index.html at the end of the url for my website, but when I just go to the website without typing that in the index page shows up fine, but some of the links in the menu don't work. How is that possible if the index page is what shows up when you put in the usual www.domain.com?

    You're fine; don't worry about how you sound!
    I did not get two different pages when I went for your ...tennis.com address vs. your ...tennis.com/index.html address. Were you looking at the pages locally (preview in a browser) or looking at them on your website?
    If your local site contains the files you want to have on the server, synchronize your files [entire local site] (on the files panel, the 'recycle' symbol) to see which files are different, remote from local. Then upload (being sure to include associated files).
    The basic reason for a Spry menu bar not working is if the javascript and the menubar css file are not accessible or not linked to the page. The other reason would be if Javascript is turned off (but you said it worked with one file...) or if the javascript code at the bottom of the page is somehow either not there or broken:
    <script type="text/javascript">
    <!--
    var MenuBar1 = new Spry.Widget.MenuBar("MenuBar1", {imgDown:"SpryAssets/SpryMenuBarDownHover.gif", imgRight:"SpryAssets/SpryMenuBarRightHover.gif"});
    //-->
    </script>
    Well, I've been pretty long-winded about this. I hope you have been able to sort out the difficulty!

  • Spry horizontal menu bar and accordion panels not working when published

    Hi,
    I'm a newbie to Dreamweaver and have been asked to design an intranet site. On the site, I added both Spry widgets for a horizontal menu bar and an accordion panel. Both of these widgets work in preview, however, neither work when I publish. I uploaded the Spry asset folder (with all the CSS and JS files) to the remote server, but still no luck. What am I missing?
    Thanks.

    Despite of what you have staed, my bet is on the fact that the SpryAssets folder and/or the included files are not being found by your page..
    Open the site in FF, click on view Source and in the source code click the link to the JS file. If it can be found, it will show the content of the file and you will have the satisfaction of knowing that the page can find the file.
    If it does not show the content, you need to correct that.
    Good luck.

  • Horizontal Menu Bar not displaying when published as it views in live view or preview

    I am working on putting together our site and haven't used Dreamweaver in years so very rusty.  I have a horizontal menu bar that is working properly in "live view" and in "preview" mode but when I publish the submenus are not working.
    You can view the site at www.pulsecc.org

    Thank you so much! That's a little frustrating how long I pulled my hair out trying to figure something this simple out!
    Thanks again!

  • ? Horizontal Menu Bar not loading in IE

    Our horizontal menu bar does not load into IE.  It works fine in Safari, Firefox and Chrome.  It used to work on all four
    browsers so I've gone back and uploaded an older version of our site to see if I could get it to work in IE.  Even this older
    site does not load anymore, also reloaded all our older Spry Assets and CSS.
    The Website is www.sundogexpeditions.com
    Thanks for any help and I'll provide any additional info to help diagnose my problem

    We found the problem in the ul.MenuBarHorizontal li MenuBarItemIE .  The display listed "none"  We deleted it
    and everything appears to display just fine in IE.  Not sure if this was the best fix but it works for now.
    Thanks

    Thank you,

    At the bottom of SpryMenuBarHorizontal.css, you will find
    @media screen, projection
    ul.MenuBarHorizontal li.MenuBarItemIE
    display: inline;
    f\loat: left;
    background-color: #FFF;
    Change the background colour to transparent and all is well.
