AD accounts missing after full sync, Unity connection

I'm missing people (rather their AD accounts) in Unity connection even after I run a full sync. I know the person has an account, I just don't know why he's not showing up.
Any Ideas would be appreciated, thanks.
Version 7.1.5ES46.33900-46

Is that person in the AD container your LDAP search base is defined with?
Are you using any LDAP filters?

  • User account missing after upgrade to Yosemite?

I have a mid-2010 iMac which up until recently I had two user accounts on for general use and one for music (Garageband, Logic and audio files etc). After upgrading to Yosemite, this separate user has vanished. I'm left with my original admin account, and a guest login. If I search for any of the files using spotlight, they do show up, but if I try to open them I get the message "you do not have permission to open this document". Also I had folders on the desktop of the music account which contained files, these folders show up in a search but are listed as empty? The files themselves are 'blank white sheet' icons as if they have no application.
I would assume this is a lost cause if not for the fact that my hard drive (more than half of which was taken up by the 'music' user) still reads as pretty much full up. So have I wiped all this forever?
    Thanks in advance,
    Dave

I'm randomly missing an account at login screen after reboot.
Sometimes I can fix it with booting into my initial account 'Kevin' (userid 501) and then changing to different login 'Christina' (userid 502).
But if I log out from my account, the second account is missing. Same if I do a reboot.. This have me in stitches as I ofcause has the need for privacy from each account.
Both accounts are set up as admins, guest is deactivated.
    rMBP 16gb sep2012.
    userid 501:
    home directory: /Users/Kevin
    userid 502:
    home directory: /Users/Christina
apart from that... I have loads of problems with Bluetooth, and hand-off only working 1 way (5s with 8.1) where only iOS -> OS X works, not vice-versa.

  • Gift Audiobook Media Files Missing after iPhone sync

    Hi All
I recently received an Audiobook as a gift, I happily redeemed this into my iTunes 11 and synced it onto my iPhone. So far so good.
However when I returned to iTunes, the audiobook appears to exist but if I try to play it, iTunes it says it cannot find the media files and invites me to locate them myself. I cannot find them either. However the book is still there on my iPhone. The purchase shows as a gift in my account but being an Audiobook I can't re-download. All this took place before the next TimeMachine cycle so there is no backup except on the phone.
Any ideas how I recover from this error condition?
    Many thanks

I'm now having the same issue here. It seems for me it has something to do with importing the files from a Home Sharing Library. But after syncing, the files are gone.

  • G/L Account missing after Upgradtion to ECC6.

    Hi,
Recently we have upgrade from SAP 4.7 to ECC6. After upgradation while creating Sales order getting error of incompletion log :
    Missing data: G/L Account
        Message no. VU019
    Diagnosis
The system checked the document for complete data.
    System Response
        You cannot continue processing.
In SAP 4.7 it is still working properly.
Please kindly suggest what to do?
    Regards,
    Amlan

I dont know whether this issue is in production client or development.  It is a general practice that during migration to ECC6, we would be doing unit testing and integration testing in development and only if every thing goes well, we move all requests to Quality for further testing and finally to production client.
Coming to the issue, first check in material master whether the correct strategy group is maintained.  For example, if the scenario is MTS and if 20 (MTO) is maintained, in that case also, system will throw this error.  Else for this error message number, check note 410758 helps you.
    thanks

  • User accounts missing after system crash

I have an iMac running Lepoard
It reset itself possibly it got too hot.
After it had reset all of the user accounts seem to have disappeared.
The system goes through startup and presents a Logon dialog. The only user that shows up is a user called Other. This is not a valid user in the system.
The other piece of diagnostic information is that all keyboard keys during startup are ignored. Have tried getting to a CD boot, single user etc, nothing seems to be acknowledged.
Any thoughts as to what has happened or how to repair.

If you are able to I suggest you try a different keyboard for using the key commands at startup.
I would suggest a good third party repair utility like DiskWarrior or Drive Genius may be your best bet. If you are able to get a keyboard working with the Mac and you have the option then use target disk mode to mount your Mac on the Desktop of another Mac and back it up or if you have a bootable external HD then use that to boot the Mac up and again back up your data. Hardware can be replaced or repaired and applications can be reinstalled but data cannot unless you have a backup so make sure your data is safe first before you tinker too much.

  • IChat wants my account details after .mac Sync

When I arrive at work in the morning and open up my PowerBook G4, start up iChat it asks me to enter my .mac account name and password. I do this and can use iChat all day. My PBG4 is set to auto-sync via .Mac. When I get home and fire up my iMac G5, iChat is set to auto-start when I log in. iChat then asks me for my account name and password.
This sequence of events repeats every day. Can anyone suggest how to fix this?
    Thanks for your help,.

    Hi Alan,
Welcome To The Apple Discussion Pages.
In iChat > Preferences > Accounts
Select the @mac account on the left.
In the Account info is the second check box ticked to Log in Automatically ?
When it does ask you are you telling it to remember the password to the keychain ?
I expect it is this one.

  • Account missing after Pacifist installation

My Apache software on my mac had some issues. So I used a software, Pacifist, to reinstall some parts (Contents Of EssentialSystemSoftware Group folder) from the OS X installation CD. Pacifist crashed during this installation, and I had to restart my computer.
When I booted on Macintosh HD, my account (which I used to click on to type my password) was missing. What showed up was the login page where I could fill in Name: & Password:. But my account name and the password didn't work.
So, I thought that maybe some system software where damaged when I used Pacifist, so I reinstalled the OS X software and choose the option where I could keep my existing documents etc.
No success. Now I can just log in with the root account (changed password with password utility with OSX installation cd) BUT I know that my files are still on my hard drive because I just have 2gb left (which I had before my problem).
How can I reach my existing documents?
    Message was edited by: Saffari

Yes, actually I found my files on Macintosh HD/Users/saffari. Woho! That was a relief. But still im logged in as 'root'. The name on Finder is 'root' and all my preset computer features are reset.
If i check in the Accounts in the system preferences there are just one account visable, named System administrator whit the 'short name' root.
Now when I've found my files, I've deleted some data and have approximately 9 gb free space.

  • Old user accounts missing after repair

I just had the "random shutdown disorder" fixed on my MacBook at my local Apple Store. When the MacBook came back, and I powered it up, I had to go through the whole "new computer start up" stuff again. When I was done, I was surprised to see a desktop that was NOT the desktop that I expected. The desktop was empty, and the dock was not my old dock.
The Applications folder quickly confirmed that all of my old software was there. And then a look at the MacBook/users folder showed that all of my old accounts were still there (along with the stuff that I had had on my desktop, documents, etc.).
How do I get my OLD main user account back to being the default? I will assume that once that has happened, the other accounts will also be available (since none of them appear now in the account list).
    Thanks.

I cannot list any accounts -- none appear other than the new one I created. They only exist in the "Users" folder.
The Users folder contains the account home folders, not the accounts themselves; to create the accounts, open the Accounts pane of System Preferences and create new ones in the same order they were originally created.
That said, I've never figured out HOW the computer decides what to call the "admin" account -- it has been called "admin" on one of my computers, "Home" on another (actually, the computer in question before this repair), and now "grbrower".
If an account is a member of the admin group, it will have administrator access to the machine regardless of what its shortname is; you can view the membership of this group in the NetInfo Manager, which is in the /Applications/Utilities/ folder. It is possible for no administrator accounts to be present on the machine; this can happen if you change the shortname of the only administrator account on the machine through the NetInfo Manager without updating the admin group's membership.

  • User accounts missing after post install reboot and cannot login

The 10.5 install process completed and my mac mini rebooted and came up with the login screen. None of my user accounts show - my admin user and my regular user account (also has admin privs) are not available and all I can chose is 'Other' - I have enter both my user accounts and passwords but they are not accepted.
I then restarted from the Leopard disk, cancelled the install program and used the password utility to reset these passwords and all the accounts show up in the selections (including a guest one I have set up).
I'm stuck here - can get no further. Only option seems to be restarting the install from scratch unless anyone else has a good suggestion?

Ok now restarted the install process (by selecting back from the login screen and then selecting restart from the login screen that showed the 'Other' user account only. I held down the c on the keyboard until the restart took the Leopard disc which was in the drive.
Then I went thru the install steps (language, license agree etc) and when it asked for what disk to install on I selected the mac mini HDD ad then clicked the options button to select the Archiv and Install option (rather than the Update only option I had been doing).
The install process purred through ok and I am up and running.
Now on to my MacBook Pro .....Thanks for the help and suggestions all

  • Cisco Unity Connection root account password

How could I get the linux root account password for my lab unity connection? I successfully created the account but it gives me a passphrase is there a tool to convert that into a password?

That only Cisco TAC can provide and only for legitimate troubleshooting purposes or to apply the workaround of a bug.
Look at htluo's blog, there was a non-supported method of creating a root account. It clearly mentions that the procedure should only be performed on non-production servers so if all you want is to play around with the lab server you can do it.

  • Difference between "sync" and "full sync" system replication?

I try to understand the difference of new "full sync" replication mode in SPS08. Do I understand it correctly that in case of "full sync" if connection to secondary system is not available, all transactions on primary side are blocked forever? While in case if simple "sync" transactions resume after defined timeout and replication state goes in Error? If yes, is it logshipping_timeout? Where this timeout is defined?
    Thank you!

  • Single Inbox on Unity Connection 8.5 and Exchange 2003 SP2

    Hi,
We have Unity Connection 8.5 (with SU2) and Exchange 2003 SP2
We want to setup the Single Inbox feature that works well with Exchange 2007 and 2010, but my customer is running Exchange 2003 SP2.
We met all of the requirements outlined in: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/connection/8x/requirements/8xcucsysreqs.html#wp459928
I configure a new "Unified Messaging Services" profile for Exchange using Exchange 2003 and enabled for Single Inbox.  When I run "Test" it displays the following errors (other validation is successfully)
The service port for IMAP is not functioning.
The system failed to connect to the server with a socket connection through port beatles.clubone.com:993. The error is error:0200206F:system library:connect:Connection refused. Refer to the tomcat log file for more details. If you are using secure connection, confirm that SSL is enabled on the server.
Why is it trying to connect using IMAP, that wasn't the case when I used for Exchange 2007 or 2010 when IMAP was not enabled.
Is there something else I'm missing for configuration with Unity Connection to support Single Inbox with Exchange 2003 SP2?
    Thank you!

  • Unity Connection 7.1.3 user interface webpage access problem

I'm running Cisco Unity Connection 7.1.3.10000-68 on a vmware 1.0.8 platform in lab and I'm trying to access the user interface
"http//:<UnityPublisher Address>/ciscopca" and I get the web error message:
    HTTP Status 404 - /ciscopca
    type: Status report
    message: /ciscopca
description: The requested resource (/ciscopca) is not available.
I've checked that all the sevices are activated and I can't figure out why the user interface isn't working. Am I missing something or does Unity Connection on a VMWare platform not support access to the user interface webpage?
    Thanks,
    Jim

    David,
I had it at 1024 and I bumped it up to 2048 and now it works.
    Thank you very much!

  • Jabber for Windows and Unity Connection Voice mail out of sync

    Hello all,
Now that Jabber is pretty much part of every install you begin to notice some trends. One trend that I have noticed happening across several of customers is complaints about Jabber and the Voicemail server getting out of sync. It’s never really been a wide spread issue but it has be noticed by several of my customers enough so that I’m reaching out to see if others are experiencing the same problem. Here are the symptoms, a person sitting at their desk they have a physical phone, and a windows PC running Jabber 4 Windows. They miss a call and the MWI lamp gets lit on the phone but not on Jabber. When you click on HELP / Show Connection status, you see all green checks, and Voicemail shows connected from Jabbers standpoint. When you exit the application and come back in, then it sync’s back up just fine. I have never seen it happen myself, but to be honest I’m never at my desk enough to even notice if my phone lamp is lit.
Anyway has anyone had similar issues? If so is there a fix?

    Symptom:
User logged in Jabber and do not log-off/sign-out for more than 24 hours and then jabber does not receive new voicemails from Unity Connection. User will be able to receive voicemails from other interfaces like Outlook, TUI but voicemails will not show up in Jabber.
    Conditions:
User does not sign out from jabber for more than 24 hours since last log on.
    Workaround:
Sign out from jabber at-least once a day and sign-in back so that subscription will not expire in Unity Connection database.
Voicemail does not sync if Jabber left logged in for more than 24 hours
    CSCuo46274
Can be fixed, depends on releases, TAC offered me a fix in version 10.5(1)ES29
