Ad Hoc installation trouble-executable was signed with invalid entitlements

Hello everyone,
Having trouble attempting to install an Ad Hoc app.
The exact error I am getting is...
*The executable was signed with invalid entitlements.*
*The entitlements specified in your application's Code Signing Entitlements file do not match those specified in your provisioning profile. (0xE8008016).*
My device is Green in the Organizer Window.
I'm using a Distribution Profile for Device 3.0
This is with a new Provisioning Profile I created (others expired recently)
In Targets - Get Info, the Code Signing Entitlements line is empty in the Code Signing section - could this be it? What should the value be? Maybe this isn't it, but Googling lead me to that as a possible fix... I tried plugging in info.plist there, but no go.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Needed to create Entitlements.plist file.
In the File Menu, select New File -> iPhone OS -> Code Signing -> Entitlements. Name the file “Entitlements.plist" and click ‘Finish’. This creates a copy of the default entitlements file within the project.
Select the new Entitlments.plist file and uncheck the “get-task-allow” property. Save the Entitlements.plist file.
Select the Target and open the Build settings inspector. In the ‘Code Signing Entitlements’ build setting, type in the filename of the new Entitlements.plist file including the extension. There is no need to specify a path unless you have put the Entitlements.plist file somewhere other than the top level of the project.

Next problem is that when moving through the installer and get to custom install, as I only want to install iDVD and iWeb, I am presented with the option to install iDVD, Sounds & Jingles and iWeb, but not sure what is going on with the other 3 options iLife Support etc, they seem to be greyed out but still look like they may install over the top of the newer versions already on my imac. Is it ok for me to just go ahead and hit install? Or do I have a problem?

Yep, just install iDVD (plus sounds and jingles) and iWeb if you want it (but note that iWeb apparently won't work if you upgrade to Mountain Lion).
Then use Software Update to get any late iDVD updates.

Help...installer said i was signing for boxes

Yes I was on the phone running my business while the installation was taking place. I wasn't paying much attention to the installer but while I was on the phone i was interrupted to have me sign a paper. I placed my customer on hold and I did asked what is this that I'm signing? He said it was for the boxes and for the installation. I said they told me that the installation was free he said I'd have to sign or he'd have to take the equipment, well because I was on the phone with a customer I didn't have time to focuse on him and what he was claiming he had to do. Plus he was there 3 hours I just said I will have to call Comcast because they were not suppose to Bill me for installation. He coukd care less he ran out of the house without even training me on how to use the equipment. So my first Bill arrived okay I paid it didn't see anything out of the ordinary now this month my Bill arrived and boom there it was $725.00 including my regular monthly bill. I was floored so I spent 2 hours explaining that I did sign the paper but that I basically thought I was signing for the boxes I never knew that the install was included in that paper plus I knew I had an email stating that the installation was included at no cost to me. I still have to call Comcast and will do so tomorrow but having to prove to them that I have this email even though they should clearly have a copy of it is so frustrating and takes so much time from my short days but I understand that I have to prove this or pay what they somehow think I owe even though they should look at my history and see that those fees were waived not just because I'm me but because since March 12 1015 I had been trying to get Comcast to install cable which sound crazy in its self that I would wait 4 months to get cable. Quick reason I waited so long was ever sales person I spoke to would promise something different and every time the techs came out the brought something different to install. so we went through this 3-4 times and trust me it wasn't fun or funny but I hung in there now it seems their trying to get the last laugh. I will call them and i will return to this forum to update my outcome. I know I shouldn't have signed but if I was being told by the installer that he wouldn't get paid and that it was only for the boxes than why should I doubt him. Plus I knew I had that agreement in writing via email. So will see what happens. I just hope I have good news to report to all. Wish me luck.

IPhone Add-Hoc Installation Troubles (E8008018)

I've been installing my app on 4 iPhones and an iPod for testing. It installs (and works) fine on all but one of the iPhones. Installing through iTunes I just get an unknown error (0xE8008018); installing using xcode I get "The identity used to sign the executable is no longer valid," and the following iPhone console output:

I've looked at all the threads regarding similar errors (mostly e8008016), but those solutions haven't worked. I've checked my device ID, provisioning file, entitlements.plist, etc, multiple times.
Any suggestions?

Apple is recommending this sample app as an example of how to deal with 'unreachable' networks, saying this about that...
"The Reachability sample application demonstrates how to use the
SystemConfiguration framework to monitor the network state of an iPhone or iPod
touch. In particular, it demonstrates how to know when IP can be routed and
when traffic will be routed through a Wireless Wide Area Network (WWAN)

I have an application that uses a static library and an extension. After I built it and upload to Appstore I get an email with the following:

When the publication is merely a "brochure" with commercial intentions, I can imagine that Apple is not interested in portraying such material in a "Store". Apple regards your submission as something in which a customer should really be interested in to download for free or even buy. If you're simply putting out an interactive version of your informational brochure (the kind you'd hand-out on a trade show), then it's rightfully not considered as a "publication". I can't blame Apple for judging in that way.
Read the "Apple Store Review Guidelines"section (around page 12 or 13) in the "Adobe Publishing Companion Guide for iPad", available from your DPS Dashboard.
Here in the Netherlands the Adobe office once tried submitting a Adobe CS6 folio, with some general information on the apps, the sort of stuff you could also read from the available PDF. Apple rejected it ! So even Adobe needed to step up and make the publication worth more than just "marketing material" and add "more value and/or lasting entertainment". And they did. (And then the app was rejected because it included a link to a sales form, not affiliated with Apple...)
Yes, Apple is very shrewd when it comes to their approval procedure, but that's what keeps the "Publications" section of their App Store from becoming a huge pile of sales stuff.
If you really need to put out such material, you must consider other solutions.
Having said this, there indeed are some apps that strangely enough have passed the test.
Point to those, when you think you're being judged unequally.

I have music in iTunes that was purchased with an account that no longer exists. I'm transferring music to a new computer so the new iTunes is asking me to sign in to the old account to authorize the old music. Is there a work-around for this?

Just to clarify: I purchased some of my older music in iTunes with an account that got deleted. I cannot recover or use this old account. I transferred music from my old iTunes to a new computer and that new iTunes on the new computer is asking me to sign into the old account to authorize the music. So, is there another way to transfer this music to my new iTunes? I'm using a USB thumb drive to transfer the music. Also, music that was purchased with my current account tranfers just fine.

To try to fix this, I signed out of the primary machine and so i was only in the second computer. This didnt work and when i tried to log back into Match on the primary machine it has the same problem now, asking me to buy iTunes Match when I already have it!
Now I've got it on neither machine- can someone please help!!

You often get this message when match thinks that you already have a match in progess on another computer.
If you are happy that all your music is on your new hard drive (or if it is only in the cloud), you should select "this computer".

Hmm, "Use Adobe Reader" should launch the PDF outside of Firefox in the stand-alone Adobe Reader application, so seeing it in a tab is something of a puzzle.
Could you check your version of Adobe Reader? For Windows 7, you normally would have the Reader XI series (Reader 11), which has had several updates. From inside Adobe Reader, you can use Help > Check for Updates to make sure it's current.
In Firefox, could you check your Adobe Acrobat plugin version or possibly versions? You can view that on the Add-ons page. Either:
* Ctrl+Shift+a
* "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Plugins. If you find multiple versions, this can cause problems and may need to be cleaned up manually (post back on that for suggestions).
Sometimes, the settings file which stores those download handler preferences becomes corrupted and there's not much else to do than to rename or remove that file and let Firefox rebuild it.
To do that, open your current Firefox settings (AKA Firefox profile) folder using either
* "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Troubleshooting Information
* (menu bar) Help > Troubleshooting Information
* type or paste about:support in the address bar and press Enter
In the first table on the page, click the "Show Folder" button. This will launch a new window (Windows Explorer window) listing various settings files.
Leaving that window open, switch back to Firefox and Exit, either:
* "3-bar" menu button > "power" button
* (menu bar) File > Exit
Pause while Firefox finishes its cleanup, then rename '''mimeTypes.rdf''' to something like mimeTypes.old
Start Firefox back up again and "PDF Files" should be back to their default setting of "Preview in Firefox". Try changing that to "Use Adobe Acrobat (in Firefox)" and test to see whether there's any improvement.

If you had Firefox save your Yahoo password, first try deleting that here:
orange Firefox button ''or'' classic Tools menu > Options > Security > "Saved Passwords"
The "signed out" message seems to be related to how Yahoo authenticates you. Some users have reported that disabling automatic proxy detection solves the problem, and it also resolves an issue of getting logged out every few minutes, if you have ever experienced that.
To make the change:
orange Firefox button ''or'' classic Tools menu > Options > Advanced
On the "Network" mini-tab, click the "Settings" button, then choose "No Proxy" and OK your way back out.
If your work connection requires you to use a proxy server, try the "Use system settings" option instead.
