Thanks for you reply David,
since I posted I've found the the Spry documentation for
Dreamweaver 9, and
the info at
http://livedocs.adobe.com/en_US/Dreamweaver/9.0/help.html?content=WS48C07A61-5107-48d0-AC6 2-D96B7A008F01.html,
seems to suggest that inserting a spry DynamicTable is a
multi step process,
so the Live Object may still be useful in other servermodels,
but I'll focus
my efforts on duplicating the existing Spry integration for
the PHAkt
servermodel.

  • Spry dynamic Table Navigation

    Hi,
    I have created a Spry dynamic table from a dataset but wanted
    to know how I could add record navigation. Ideally, I would like
    only 15 records to appear and have the user be able to move to the
    next batch of 15 or back when they want. Also, I would like to put
    the information of how many records there are in total at the top.
    I know I can put navigation on tables made from a recordset,
    but can I not do the same with a table made from a Spry dataset?
    Thanks so much,

    for this?
    Yes, it requires hand coding. Dreamweaver provides user
    interfaces for
    only a limited set of Spry features. No plans have been
    announced for an
    updater.
    >And will it work if I am exporting a recordset as xml for
    the dataset?
    I haven't tested table navigation myself, but any valid XML
    source
    should work.

  • On YouTube, I can't play playlists there. It says I need to update my Java and it is updated already. When I go to different sites like Yahoo! the links and images are all distorted. This is the second time this has happened to me now

    Hello Firefox,
    I am having problems with my Firefox's image processor I believe. My web browser is fine but then a few minutes later I get some weird look on my page. It then just stays here and I can't fix it. When I go to Yahoo all the links and images do not look normal. I really cannot explain this and wish I could send a picture instead. When I go to the Log in page for Facebook I do not see the image of the small faces networking around the world. It's blank and the links are widely spread apart. With YouTube the page is also distorted. Nothing is arranged properly. I can watch videos. However when I go to someone's profile or a playlist videos cannot play or show up. It says I need to update my Java player and it is already updated. It still happens when I uninstall and re install back. I was only able to fix this problem by uninstalling everything related to Firefox. I do not know how to solve this any other way. I don't like it when all my information is lost such as saved passwords and bookmarks. If there is any way to solve this thanks. I don't want to uninstall this again.

  • Link and images not shown

    Hello,
    On Skype Version 7.7 (335), I cannot receive links or images, neither send files or images, while links are received correctly from the recipients (I cannot see them).
    All the links are correctly parsed on any other platform (I tried on Windows 7, Android 5.1 and iOS 8 with the same account that is not receiving the links on Mac OS X).
    Please see attached images for examples of what happens.
    Any idea why this happens? :-S
    Thanks!

    Hey guys! I am wondering if this is related I just found a temp fix. You wont be able to see the images but you'll be back to functional old school. While in Skype on your top mac menu bar go to "View", then click off "Show Images in Chat". You'll see the link and skype wont try (and fail) to show you the image.

  • PRINT to PDF - how to retain links as links and images as images

    I print webpages to PDF all the time.
    but it is not very good from fiefox for me, because of 3 reasons
    1 the links on the webpage dont stay as hyperlinks in the PDF file (I test by clicking on the link in the pdf, it is blue and underlined, but does not go anywhere when clicked). This happens 100% time
    2 the images dont say as images in the pdf (I test by click hold image on the iphone and if its an image, the popup will be save to image to camera roll) - this fails to happen. This happens 100% time
    3 the layout is not IDENTICAL to the webpage. This happens about 50% time
    so my workaround has been to
    1 highlight the desired text
    2 click email button (an add-on)
    3 cut pasted the selected text to email
    4 send to myself
    5 print the email to pdf
    and it works...
    so this is a wee clunky ....
    and clogs up my mailbox a little more than i desire...
    SO
    any ideas for better options.... ???
    thankyou in advanced.
    fyi
    I checked follwowing post and it did not help

    and
    in about:config I could not find any setting controlling

  • Creating and selecting from a dynamic table

    Hi,
    Iam trying to create a table dynamically and selecting from it in same plsql block, but am getting "table doesnot exist" error. however if i just create a table dynamically and then do a select on it seperately it works..
    below is sample code for the same,
    working
    Line: -----
    DECLARE
    loc VARCHAR2(20):='bglr';
    l_cnt pls_integer;
    BEGIN
    -- create an employee information table
    EXECUTE IMMEDIATE
    'CREATE TABLE ' || 'emp_bglr' ||
    empno NUMBER(4) NOT NULL,
    ename VARCHAR2(10),
    job VARCHAR2(9),
    sal NUMBER(7,2),
    deptno NUMBER(2)
    end;
    select count(*) from emp_bglr ...works and return me 0 rows
    Line: -----
    but when i include select in plsql block ..it throws "Table does not exists" error...(iam running below plsql block after dropping the created table)
    not working
    Line: -----
    DECLARE
    loc VARCHAR2(20):='bglr';
    l_cnt pls_integer;
    BEGIN
    -- create an employee information table
    EXECUTE IMMEDIATE
    'CREATE TABLE ' || 'emp_bglr' ||
    empno NUMBER(4) NOT NULL,
    ename VARCHAR2(10),
    job VARCHAR2(9),
    sal NUMBER(7,2),
    deptno NUMBER(2)
    --COMMIT;
    END;
    Select count(*) into l_cnt from emp_bglr;
    dbms_output.put_line('cnt is '||l_cnt);
    end;
    Line: -----

    Becuase your code is first checked for syntax/object existance during compilation and throws an error saying the table does not exist.
    Try this:
    SQL> ed
    Wrote file afiedt.buf
      1   DECLARE
      2   loc VARCHAR2(20):='bglr';
      3   l_cnt pls_integer;
      4   BEGIN
      5   -- create an employee information table
      6   EXECUTE IMMEDIATE 'CREATE TABLE emp_bglr(
      7   empno NUMBER(4) NOT NULL,
      8   ename VARCHAR2(10),
      9   job VARCHAR2(9),
    10   sal NUMBER(7,2),
    11   deptno NUMBER(2)
    12   )';
    14  Select count(*) into l_cnt from all_objects where object_name = 'EMP_BGLR';
    15  dbms_output.put_line('tab cnt is '||l_cnt);
    16  IF (l_cnt = 1) THEN
    17  l_cnt := 0;
    18  EXECUTE IMMEDIATE 'SELECT count(*) from apps.emp_bglr' into l_cnt;
    19  dbms_output.put_line('data cnt is '||l_cnt);
    20  END IF;
    21* end;
    SQL> /
    tab cnt is 1
    data cnt is 0
    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.

  • How to extend VO which is use in VIEW LINK and VL is created dynamically.

    Hi All,
    I wants to extend VO.
    This VO is used in VIEW LINK.
    This VL name set dynamically, conditionally in one of the controller of page.
    i.e if some condition satisfied than xyz VL will use otherwise abc VL will use.
    Now,
    I have extend VO as well as VL and substitute both, but I am getting null value for some of the field and also I am not able to insert/update new value.
    So,
    I have created VORowImpl class file which extend VOROWImpl of seeded file and chage the row class of VO.xml file to new class. i.e. modified seeded .xml code and achieve what I want.
    But Is this correct way ?
    Is there any other way ?

    Hi pratap,
    thanx for your reply.
    intially i've done that also. i.e. extend only VO and substitute it but i'm getting null values in some field as well as nt able to insert/update new value.
    the error is related to VL.

  • Firefox 19 won't display my pdf links and images

    I have a pdf uploaded to the site, when opening in Firefox 19, my buttons with hyperlinks don't show up, some images are showing either.
    I use simple buttons with rollover stage and a hyperlink, the buttons were made with text and background color, they show fine in pdf when using other browsers and older versions of Firefox.
    Here is the url with the pdf for reference:
    http://teen.idrivesafely.com/how-to-get-your-learners-permit.pdf
    Does anyone know how to fix this issue?
    Thanks

    Thanks for your response, the thing is I don't want the end user to have to go through these steps in order to be able to see my pdf file as it renders in older versions of Firefox.
    What I've noticed is the use of buttons and interactivity is not been rendered, so it doesn't even show up in the page. The drop shadows applied within InDesign are also not been properly render by the browser, making the background of the image surrounded by dark background.
    I have temporarily fixed the problem by getting rid of my drop shadows and using regular hyperlinks on text instead of interactive buttons.
    Hope this issue gets fixed, since interactive pdfs is widely used today.
    Thanks

  • Typo/error in dynamic table example

    I'm talking about the on-line copy of the Spry dynamic table
    example:
    http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/spry/articles/dynamic_table/
    In the last two code blocks, in the TR element that uses
    spry:repeat, the value of spry:repeat is set to "spry:repeat"
    instead of "dsEmployees". If someone copies one of those code
    blocks and tweaks it to use it for their own datasets, they'll get
    a tokenizeData error.

    Thanks for catching that!
    The fixed version is now live on Labs.
    Thanks,

    I did some xsl-fo a few years ago for a project.
    It was an invoice generator spawning multiple PDFs out of single XML document generated from the database. Pretty cool stuff but very resource-consuming.
    I'm a bit rusty but here's a basic example for a single table, based on your sample data :
    XSLT stylesheet :

  • Procedure for creating dynamic table

    Hi! I'm having a problem with creating a table with the help of procedure. The thing is, I want to pass an (possibly an array of) unknown amount of values - column names, types - to the procedure, that I defined, and then be able to create a (temporary) table with the received data. Possible? Maybe you could give me some hints - any help appreciated.

    Yes, not literally there are million fields, of course :) What I was trying to say -> there are too much fields to create a hidden field array each time, and honestly I don't like this because of content availability through source code.Statement does not make sense.
    If there are too many "fields" (databases have tables and rows and columns - not fields), then how does introducing a new database table reduce these? It is far simpler to only select the rows required, the columns needed for display, and building a "field array" using that - assuming that your definition of such an array matches mine...
    Besides the saneness and logic of using dynamic tables, there are performance considerations. The slowest and most expensive database operation is I/O.
    So what is your justification to spend a lot of I/O on duplicating existing data in the database? Why read data from tables to create so-called dynamic tables? Is that the best spend of database resources?
    Don't know what forms you were talking about - the idea is to possibly use some programming (like php) + html to create a dynamic form. That's why I need a dynamic temporary table to pass the content around (no sessions, please).Forms are typically not dynamic. You do not point code at some arbitrary table structure and say "+form instantiate thyself+". This code will not understand the business rules and validation rules for properly displaying a data entry form for that entity, and applying the rules and logic for processing entered data and storing that in the table.
    Forms are usually (almost always) coded as static - the entry fields are known at design time. The validation rules are known. The business logic to apply is known.
    That begs the question as to not only what you are trying to do (it does not make sense!), but also why? What are the business requirements that need to be met?
