Add an approval signture

Hi there
I'm trying to create a very simple PDF form with signature and a submit button.
I need this signature to be very easy to use - I really don't want the user to have to create a digital ID (ie let's pretend the user barley knows how to use reader.) I want to create a filed that prompts the user to add a typed signature, draw signature or use an image and I can't seem to get it to work. When I create a signature field it requires it always requires the user to use a certificate and all other options are greyed out! How can I get that field to prompt the user to just type in a signature? I don't want the form to be an EchoSign Form because the Submit button is lost.
Is this possible? I have been tearing my hair out trying to find a solution to this.
I just want the person filling out the form to be able to sign the form easily without an id. The security, guarantee or legality of this signature isn't paramount.

Hi Erica,
My guess is when the PDF file was created it contained a signature field. When Reader finds a signature field it makes the assumption that the document author intended for a digital signature (a certificate based, cryptographic operation) to be created and not an electronic signature (which is what a image based signature is without any underlying crypto). Thus, the electronic signature options are disable on the dialog you're referencing. Try recreating the file without the signature field, but rather just draw a line and type "Sign here" underneath the line (or something to that effect).

Add an approval to shopping cart whose status is awaiting approval SRM7.0

In one of my requirements i need to add an approver to a shopping cart which is on status awaiting approval programmatically in SRM7.0.
1. Is it possible to add an aprrover to shopping cart whose status is awaiting approval programmatically.
2. If yes, please guide me the steps or classes and methods are used to do this.

Requiremnet:
Need to add approvers manually to the shopping cart which is on awaiting approval status.
The code flow follows as below:
1. as the workflow already started for this shopping cart so we have interrupted the shopping cart with belwo method
          CALL METHOD /sapsrm/cl_wf_adv_facade=>interrupt_process
            EXPORTING
              iv_document_guid = lv_new_guid ( shopping cart guid)
2. instantiated the object for the class /sapsrn/cl_pdo_bo_sc_adv, to its constructor i have passed values work item id generated in above process.
3. added an approver manually to shopping cart using method of above said class /sapsrm/if_pdo_do_apv_ext~add_approver.
4. if i skip the execution of method /sapsrm/if_pdo_bo_sc~order, i am able see all the approvers added manually but the status is "In your Inbox"
5. if i execute the above said order method, all the approvers added manually are lost.
Question:
1. Please suggest me the sequence of methods called are correct?
2. As per my understanding complete workflow is restarting, so it is losing all the manual approvers if i am wrong suggest me, Is it not possible to have previously added manually added approvers even after ordering the cart?

Document creator cannot add adhoc approver in shop-in one screen

Hi All,
We are working with SRM 7.0, SP11 with extended classic implementation. We have observed that while creating a SC with professional view (shop-in-one screen) with purchaser role, user cannot use adhoc approval function as the Button 'Add Approver' is not visible.
Though this option is visible in shopping wizard and PO screen.
This is very important function for our business process as we are extensively using shop-on-behalf function and need to use it with Ad-hoc approval functionality.
Pls suggest.

Hello Prashant,
On the SC screen you will have an option called Display or Edit agents. Click that Hyperlink and from there you will get a option to add the adhoc approvers or reviewers.
This option will be available in the left hand side top display of the sc above the item preview table.
From the item details --> Approval Process Previe tab you will not have this option as standard design.

Add specific approver to SC with a certain product group

Hi SRM workflow gurus!
we'd like to add a specific additional approver (one person) to a workflow if a certain product group (e.g. "job safety") has been selected in SRM shopping cart.
For example
1.
a. requestor wants to order sth.
b. goes to approver 1
2.
a. requestor wants to order sth. with this specific "job safety" product group
b. goes to approver 1
c. AND goes to specific approver 2 who is responsible for "job safety".
Where can we do this? In the start conditions or do we have to create a new workflow for this issue?
Does anybody have a glue about how to realize this?

Hi Henning,
For this you need to create a Condition step in the workflow after the 1st approval. Do the follwoing:
1. Create a workflow in SWDD.
2. Add start condition that requestor wants to order sth
3. Add a send mail to 1st approver step.
4. Add a Condition task after 1st approval to check if the order sth. is with this specific "job safety" product group.
5. If yes, go to 2nd approver.
6. Else, terminate the workflow.
Simple!

Hi,
Reviewer gets a workitem for review task. It is not approval task.
Reviewer can only display document and add comments and attachments. The workitem remains in inbox until workflow is completed.
From SRM 7.0, application can assign reviewers automatically based on pre-defined condition. (Rule-based reviewer)

Bridge CS6 adds colored 'Approved' label to new files - automatically/without my choice

System: Dell Windows 7, Service Pk 1, 16GB Ram, 64-bit
Adobe Master Suite CS6/Bridge CS6 - updated.
Bridge just started doing this recently. Used to not do it: But now sometimes when I export pdfs from Indesign CS6, or save Ps files or "Save As..." or Exports from Photoshop or Illustrator, Bridge will randomly stick a green "Approved" label on the file (thumb).
It's annoying because I do use labels here and there and they have specific meanings in certain contexts/folders. The new stuff I've saved 99.9% has no connection to the things that I have put labels on... Has anyone else seen this behavior and is there a way to stop it?

I am not clear on your question.
Possibly you want the 'Pin' option when long pressing on the top sites view? This will allow you to set the site order.

Add Approver - applet performance when 'Add here' pressed

We have recently upgraded to SRM 5.0 (classic) and are noticing that the Add hoc approver functionality is quite slow when using the graphical view.
Steps:
- for a sc to be approved, go to Approval Preview
- click 'Add Approver'
- on any of the 'Add here' entries, press
The perofmance problem is when the 'Add here' is pressed - for the graphical view, i.e. using the applet, the performance can take 15 sec. and sometimes longer. But, if in table view, the performance is o.k. at about 5 sec.
This leads me to believe that the problem is with the applet (as opposed to for example the agent assignment causing problems, as is the same agent assignment with both ways).
Just wondering if anyone is noticing the same issue - I have found nothing in OSS nor in this forum.

We are also in the process of implmenting SRM5.5/EBP5.0.
Just throwing out some ideas...since the graphical view is using a Jave applet could cause be due tp the jre version? Parhaps upgrading ot he lates jre will solve the problem.

Add reviewer/add approver for n-level workflow not working...

Hi, We are using SRM 3.0/EBP 4.0 system and are using the "N-level approval of shopping cart" workflow. We recently upgraded to support pack 11. Before the upgrade we were able to add approvers and reviewers. However after implementing the support pack , when we are trying to add a approver or a reviewer , we are getting the error " NO POSSIBLE PROCESSOR FOUND FOR APPROVAL TASK. INFORM SYSTEM ADMIN"
Please help me figure this out .

I need to hide the "Add Approver" button. Which is the best way to do this ?
Im not sure if this action is feasible via Screen Variants or if I should modify ITS templates.

This can be done via the BADI BBP_CHNG_AGNT_ALLOW.
implement methods AUTHORISE_FOR_INSERT and AUTHORISE_FOR_CHANGE to block the add/change approver options.

Add Approver/Reviewer

Hi,
When we create SC in srm we get an option to add approver/ reviwer.
Please let me know to do so, do we need to activate any workflow as ad hoc approval workflow etc...
How the approver and reviewer gets selected in the approval flow based on which logic.

if you want BY Default the add approver/reviewer in the SC itself then you have add the logic in the workflow based on the logic (for example if you getting the approver/reviewer from the Z table add the approver/reviewer there itself)
So when are creating the SC the approver /reviewer will appear in the workflow
The Basic function of ADD APPROVER/REVIEWER is an adhoc only .when you feel for this SC if you want to add an approver you can add the approver before the SC is saved. Incase of reviewer is only for information that the SC is created.

Need to add Approver after completion of Appraisal Cycle

Dear Expert,
Initially we had only two level appraisal system, and cycle ends when appraiser completes the final appraisal.
Now the requirement is to add one approver who will add some note and give the final rating.
I have created the separate column for this purpose and given access to another level as further participant, and also added further participant at PHAP_ADMIN level. I have also added further step as Approved into "Status Flow".
Still this is not working ..... please suggest if I am going into wrong direction.

1. "Further Participant" will be the authorized person for "Complete" push button .
2. Document will be visible to "Further Participant".
Unfortunately none of the above point is working for us.... please guide.

Functinality of Add Approver in PO

Dear All,
I am working on SRM 5.5.
I am creating the PO.
in 'APPROAL Tab' , As per the conditon one dummy approver is added. And I added the New approver using "ADD APPROVER" Button, Its adding the two New Approval, as a First and Last approver.
It confusing me, Its the problem in the functinality or its correct functionality?

Error while approving the request ..

Hi ,
I have created a SOA composite where in the 1st level approver is manager and second level approval is a role . When i raise the request the task is assigned to the manager and manager approves it . Then the task is assigned to the Role . However the issue is , when any member of the Role tries to approve the task , the below error is thrown . Please note he is able to reject the request though , only in case of approving i see the below error .
Though it shows in the logs as warning but on the approval UI , it throws an error . ie ."An Error Occured "
Any clues Pls !

You need to give approver the right on the request . Add the approver to the request administrator role .
