Add button with specifics features in toolbar .

Hi Everybody,
I would like to add a button on toolbar with the same features than
the "HTML" and "Plain text" buttons. These buttons don't have
descriptive text when the window is large enough to see them. When the
window is to small to see same buttons, the button ">>" has to be clicked
and only then may we see the descriptive text.
When the window is in full display, the buttons display descriptive text
and make mandatory to widen the window in an exagerate way. Would it be
possible to display the descriptive text ONLY when the button ">>" is
clicked?
Best Regards,
Pierre

Trying second solution:Getting image in menu bar but mouse click is not working on that menu
Code changed:
//created constructor
OptionCompo()
          try
               img = javax.imageio.ImageIO.read(new java.net.URL(getClass().getResource("zoom.gif"), "zoom.gif"));
          catch(Exception e){}
//changed code of paintComponent()
protected void paintComponent(Graphics g)
          Graphics2D g2 = (Graphics2D)g;
     g2.setRenderingHint(RenderingHints.KEY_ANTIALIASING,
     RenderingHints.VALUE_ANTIALIAS_ON);
     int h = getHeight();
     Font font = UIManager.getFont("Menu.font");
     g2.setFont(font);
     FontRenderContext frc = g2.getFontRenderContext();
     //Rectangle2D r = font.getStringBounds(text, frc);
     float sx = 5f;
     //float sy = (float)((h + r.getHeight())/2) -
     // font.getLineMetrics(text, frc).getDescent();
     //g2.drawString(text, sx, sy);
     if(img != null) g.drawImage(img,0,0,this);
     double x = sx +/* r.getWidth() +*/ sx;
//in main
OptionCompo test = new OptionCompo();

  • Add Button to GUI STATUS Application toolbar

    Hi,
    I have to add a button in the application toolbar of a gui status. I have done that many times before, but I never got into trouble like this time....
    When I open the Gui status and the tree for the application toolbar, I can see already set buttons. When I now click on change (a modification warning comes) and press the plus-icon, it is possible to enter a new item. But everything I´m typing, I get the message Function code XXXX has not been assigned to a function key. I have never got this before....
    When I now go to SE41 and enter a new function key, I can´t use it either afterwards as a button in the application toolbar.
    In the tree of the function keys, I can´t change anything...
    What can I do here? The program name is SAPMZLCG, so it has been modified sometimes. But how can I change the GUI STATUS now to add a new button?
    Thank you!

    You need to goto the application toolbar and the add your text to the items and click below the text you will get one popup which will ask for static text and dynamic text. select statictext and then add all the information like text name and if you want to add an icon you can do it aswell. the there will be another popup for fuction attributes where you will be able to find some options loke fuction types and reaction need to select all that and then click on the ok button and save check and activate the same and after that activate and check whether the button is visible or not. once the button is visible then you need to check for the ok_code and sy_ucomm and then insert the fuctionality of the button.
    I hope this might solve your problem.

  • How to add buttons with links to different pages in my flash document?

    Hi I created a template for my flash animation which is a simple content box and a scroll bar beside it.. Anyway at the top I also have 3 pages (they are currently just part of the png background image so they are not buttons of any sort).. My question is how can I make links to these different pages so when clicked in the flash animation they will just open normally like they would in like a website..
    I am a flash beginner so I'm not too technical with it... I don't know if I would have to create 3 seperate documents for my 3 pages or something else?
    Thanks!

    Do you expect the loaded SWF to load "into" the SWF that contains the buttons or are you expecting it to overwrite the existing SWF you're already in (similar to a web page)?
    Loading a SWF inside is pretty straight forward, as long as the SWF is on the same domain or the domain you're loading from has a crossdomain.xml policy allowing it and the SWF is set to publish with the networking sandbox:
    import flash.display.Loader;
    import flash.net.URLRequest;
    import flash.events.Event;
    var myLoader:Loader = new Loader();
    // listen for completion
    myLoader.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, handleCompleteF);
    // usually add some IOErrorEvent or SecurityErrorEvent handlers here
    // button hook here
    myButtonInstanceName.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, loadPageF);
    function loadPageF(e:MouseEvent):void
         // try to load
         try
              myLoader.load(new URLRequest('another.swf'));
         catch (e:*)
              // catch any error, trace it to flash IDE for debugging
              trace("Error loading SWF: " + e);
    function handleCompleteF(e:Event):void
         // success, add to display list
         addChild(myLoader);
    Season to taste, like moving the position of the Loader object. The Loader will contain the SWF in the .content property (e.g. myLoader.content) and is a display object so you can just add it directly to the display list.
    If you add a second button you can re-use the myLoader to .load() a different SWF, just point it to a new function. You could re-use the same function but you'd need to detect the different buttons (possibly via the .name property). I presume you might want to do "different things" when different pages are loaded so I'm assuming you'd probably use a different function rather than make a huge reused branching function.

  • Can't add program with Install feature using Palm 6.2, Vista SP1 and LifeDrive

    Hi,
    I am trying to add FileZ to my Palm. I click Install from the sidebar of the desktop, then Add and point to the filez.prc file. However I get a message saying the file cannot be copied. The tool the installer is using to do this is the QuckInstall tool. Should I be using another tool? I've heard QuickInstall doesn't work with 6.2.
    Thanks,

    You are correct in what you heard, monk66 - Quick Install does not work in version 6.2.
    6.2 uses it's own "Installation Tool" to put files into the Hotsync queue.  You can find it in two places.
    1. Right click on the HotSync Manager icon and choose "Install".
    2. Start Button/All Programs/Palm/Install Tool.

  • Button with two features

    Hi everyone,
    Thanks for the help on my last post.  I have another question, this one even simpler.  I want a user-interface button to do multiple things when clicked, but the script I'm using doesn't work.  I would like the following to happen when this button is clicked:
    The dialog box containing it closes.
    A message comes up saying "Men's bracket data imported."
    An xml file is imported into the variables window.
    The modified file is saved as an EPS.
    Only the first three happen with the following code:
    dlg.pnl.grp.Btn1.onClick=function()
    dlg.close();
    alert("Men's bracket data imported");
    activeDocument.importVariables(new File('/Volumes/groups/IT/public/Publishing Solutions/Bracket Data3/output/brackets_men.xml'));
    activeDocument.loadVariables(new File('/Volumes/groups/IT/public/Publishing Solutions/Bracket Data3/output/brackets_men.xml'));
    targetFile = getNewName();
    epsSaveOpts = getEPSOptions( );
    activeDocument.saveAs( targetFile, epsSaveOpts );
    Similarly, if I put the EPS chunk before the import variables part, everything but the import occurs.  Any idea why this is happening and how to get it to do these two things at once?  Obviously I need to save the file after the data is imported.  Another option would be to have the file automatically saved after the button is clicked (not due to the clicking of the button), but how would one do this?  Putting the chunk after the button click doesn't achieve this.  I guess it's pertinent to say that I have the dlg.show command at the end of the script.
    Thanks again.

    The missing New Tab button can be caused by a problem with the file [http://kb.mozillazine.org/localstore.rdf localstore.rdf] in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Profile Folder].
    See:
    * http://kb.mozillazine.org/Corrupt_localstore.rdf
    You see the Bookmarks Menu button if the Menu bar is hidden and replaced by the orange Firefox button.
    * View > Toolbars > [] Menu Bar or right-click a toolbar
    If you need to access the hidden Menu bar then press F10 or hold down the Alt key to make the Menu Bar appear temporarily.

  • Firefox 5 on Win7: All my plugin buttons have gone from the toolbar. They are not in the customise pane. Session manager offers the correct sessions but opens with last session instead. I've re-installed % and reset toolbars. Help!

    Win 7
    Firefox 5
    Problem with high memory use.
    restarted
    Plugin buttons gone from toolbar/
    Missing plugins still show in plugin manager but buttons missing from toolbar add buttons pane.
    Tried reset toolbars - no difference.
    Tried re-instal of Firefox 5 - no difference except:
    Session manager offers correct session on startup but starts with last session

    In case you are using "Clear history when Firefox closes":
    *do not clear the Browsing History
    *Firefox > Preferences > Privacy > Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history": [X] "Clear history when Firefox closes" > Settings
    *https://support.mozilla.org/kb/remove-browsing-search-and-download-history
    Note that clearing "Site Preferences" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, software installation, passwords, and other website specific data.
    You can check for problems with the sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak files in the Firefox profile folder that store session data.
    *Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Show Folder (Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder)
    *http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox
    *http://kb.mozillazine.org/Multiple_profile_files_created
    Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost and you will have to recreate them (make a note or bookmark them if possible).

  • Start Developing iOS Apps Today tutorial Edit button instead of Add button

    In the Start Developing iOS Apps Today tutorial, I followed the instructions but after adding data (the final part), instead of seeing the + symbol, which should take me to the add item view, I saw the word edit, which took me to a screen where I could delete items.
    The instructions say:
    The actual code for viewDidLoad includes some additional lines—inserted by Xcode when it created XYZListViewController—that are commented out. Feel free to leave them in.
    Referring to the following code in XYZToDoListTableViewController:
    // Uncomment the following line to preserve selection between presentations.
    self.clearsSelectionOnViewWillAppear = NO;
    // Uncomment the following line to display an Edit button in the navigation bar for this view controller.
    self.navigationItem.rightBarButtonItem = self.editButtonItem;
    As it turns out, the bottom line overrides the add button with an edit button. The good news is that by changing rightBarButtonItem to leftBarButtonItem, the add symbol reappears, and the Edit button is moved to the other side.

    make sure u wrote the method in XYZToDoListViewController.m rather than XYZAddToDoItemViewController.m

  • [VB CS5] Adding buttons with page hyperlinks (hyperlinkpagedestinations)

    Hi people.
    I'm trying to add buttons with a script that link to pages.
    I have got this far but the documentation is sparse and i can't find a solution.
    My code so far
    REM====Initiliasing
    Set myInDesign = CreateObject("InDesign.Application")
    Set myDocument = myInDesign.Documents.Item(1)
    Set myPage = myDocument.Pages.Item(1)
    REM====Adding the button
    Set but = myDocument.Pages.Item(1).Buttons.Add
    but.GeometricBounds = Array(0,0,25,25)
    but.select()
    REM==== Adding the hyperlink
    set my_hyperlink = myDocument.hyperlinkPageDestinations.add(myDocument.Pages.Item(232))
    Creates the button ok, seems to create the hyperlink ok. That hyperlink should go to page 232.
    How do you add the hyperlink to the button so the button goes to page 232 when clicked?

    Ok i'm just going to go ahead and answer my own question.
    Seems you can't add it to a button but can add the hyperlink to a rectangle and it works.
    So the correct code looks like this
    Set myInDesign = CreateObject("InDesign.Application")
    Set myDocument = myInDesign.Documents.Item(1)
    Set myPage = myDocument.Pages.Item(1)
    Set oImageRect = myDocument.Pages.Item(1).Rectangles.add
    oImageRect.GeometricBounds = Array(50,0,25,25)
    set my_hyperlinkPAGE=myDocument.hyperlinkPageDestinations.add(myDocument.Pages.Item(5))
    Set my_hyperlinkSource = myDocument.HyperlinkPageItemSources.Add(oImageRect)
    set myHyperlink = myDocument.Hyperlinks.Add(my_hyperlinkSource, my_hyperlinkPAGE)
    Voila, goes to page 5!

    Ups......
    You'll, according to the readme generated by your C3PO Wizard, have to run
    Regasm.exe <your C3PO server>
    That will create the needed regkeys...
    Also, you might have to add the typelib wrapper and assambly to the GAC, bu typing:
    Gacutil -i <your C3PO server>

  • How can you add your own print and export buttons to the CR viewer toolbar?

    I posted a previous question that was asking how to get around the Information Bar in IE7 when you export and print.  Unfortunately the CR viewer file download code gets blocked by IE7 because the buttons don't directly download the file.  However, I have been able to get a regular button that calls the following code and streams the file to the client and IE7 does not block it.
    Sub PrintPDF(sender As Object, e As System.EventArgs)
         Dim crReportDocument as ReportDocument
         Dim crExportOptions as ExportOptions
         Dim crDiskFileDestinationOptions as DiskFileDestinationOptions
         Dim Fname as string
         CrReportDocument = New ReportDocument()
         CrReportDocument.Load(Server.MapPath("estactionlist.rpt"))
         Fname = Server.MapPath("./") & Session.SessionID.ToString & ".pdf"
         CrDiskFileDestinationOptions = New DiskFileDestinationOptions()
         CrDiskFileDestinationOptions.DiskFileName = FName
         CrExportOptions = crReportDocument.ExportOptions
         With crExportOptions
              .DestinationOptions = CrDiskFileDestinationOptions
              .ExportDestinationType = ExportDestinationType.DiskFile
              .ExportFormatType = ExportFormatType.PortableDocFormat
         End With
         CrReportDocument.Export()
         Response.ClearContent()
         Response.ClearHeaders()
                    Response.AddHeader("content-disposition", "attachment;filename=test.pdf")
                    Response.ContentType = "application/pdf"
                    Response.Charset = ""
                    Response.WriteFile(Fname)
                    Response.Flush()
         Response.Close()
         System.IO.File.Delete(Fname)
    End Sub
    So here are my questions?
    1. Is it possible to add a custom print control/icon to the CR viewer toolbar?
    2. If one is not possible, then is it possible to override the CR viewer print and export buttons with your own subroutines like the one above?
    I just want my page to look nice and hate to have print and export buttons outside of my CR viewer.
    Thanks,
    Kevin

    It might be possible to replace the buttons in a windows app since you can retrieve the toolbar as a toolbar object in the winform viewer  ( ToolStrip toolBar = (ToolStrip) crystalReportViewer1.Controls[3]; )  however with a web app, it's a lot more difficult.
    The problem is that that you need to parse the Request string to try and figure out if the print / export button was clicked.  The code below makes the print button disappear if you click it, so you should be able to modify it to call your custom printing / exporting code instead  (You have to do this check in a postback)
            Dim I As Integer = 0
            If Request.Form.AllKeys.Length > 0 Then
                For I = 0 To Request.Form.AllKeys.Length - 1
                    Response.Write(Request.Form.Keys(I).ToString & "<BR>")
                    If Request.Form.Keys(I).ToString = "CrystalReportViewer2:_ctl2:_ctl2.x" Then
                        CrystalReportViewer2.HasPrintButton = False
                    End If
                Next
           End If

  • Problems with getting a custom toolbar button to work...

    Hi all,
    I'm using the 7.0.1 eval version of GroupWise, patched to 7.0.2 HP 6/6/2007.
    The server is the same version.
    I'm trying to put a new button on the toolbar in C# (with the
    GW.CLIENT.WINDOW.BROWSER context) - the button shows up as expected. It also
    gets validate events - quite frequently and my code always returns 0 from
    Validate() and the button is always enabled. However, no matter what I do, I
    never get an Exectute() call on the command object I create for this button
    when I click it. I also tried the GW.CLIENT context, in which case the
    button shows up in the same place (main GW client toolbar), and it behaves
    the same.
    If I try to create the button with the GW.MESSAGE.MAIL context and I
    double-click emails, the button shows up on the toolbar of the message
    window. When I click this button, I properly get Execute() calls. I also
    have no problem getting context menu items working.
    Is there anything special I need to do to get callbacks for buttons on the
    main toolbar?
    Thanks,
    Gyorgy Bozoki

  • How to add a button with Javascript to Library

    Hi
    I am using Captivate 5.5 to create a template.
    In the files which will be created using this template, we will be adding a button which executes a Javascript. Now, my question is, since this button will be used on multiple slides in the file, can I add this button (with the Javascript) to the library? Currently, we create it manually everytime.
    We don't have a programmer in our team, so we can't create widget. Is there an alternative way?
    Thanks for your help.
    Sreekanth

    Thanks for that reply.
    I now have a blank slide with the button (including the javascript) on it which solves the problem of importing it manually.
    However, when we use this template to import PowerPoint presentations, when we publish the file, the first slide (the one on which I have this button) will be blank and has to be manually deleted.
    Is there a way to eliminate this manual work? I tried hiding and using some actions. But it was not of any use.
